What is up everyone my name is Echo and in today’s video we are checking out the first 1.20 features for Minecraft Pocket Edition the Bedrock version these are available in the latest beta and preview you are looking for the version 1.19.50.21 yes I know it doesn’t say

1.20 but yes it does contain those features good news is if you head over to the dressing room now you go to an empty slot and you click create character and you click this list we have all the new skins available we have Alex we have no we have Ari we have

Sunny we have McKenna fa Zuri Kai and of course Minecraft Steve starting with experimental features introducing the next major update experimental toggle help us try out and develop the new next major update content so that means people who are in beta in preview when you do create a brand new world if you

Would like to access these 1.20 features your world needs to have the experimental toggle enabled to be specific it’s this one next major update try out new gameplay features that are in development for our next major updates if this is not enabled you won’t get the 1.20 features starting with the

Brand new bamboo wood types they have added new base blocks for bamboo wood types added recipe for bamboo wood types added bamboo flooring block variants and added bamboo RAF and raft with a chest so your bamboo farms have just become even more useful this all starts with

The regular bamboo item all you need to do is put this inside of the crafting table exactly like this and you’ll start with bamboo planks so bamboo planks can be made into bamboo slabs they can be made into a bamboo stairs they can be made into bamboo doors and of course

Trap doors pressure plates buttons and so much more let’s go through all of them they even come with a new sound here is your stairs your slab variation your fences which I really like the top of these they look so awesome we also have the fence uh gate we also have the

Door very transparent and easy to see through and of course we do have ourselves the trap door which again they look absolutely incredible and are very transparent I can see a lot of people using these for Windows also available in is we do have the bamboo sign and the

Hanging variation which we’re gonna go through in a little bit more detail but there is a few more blocks you are able to make with this also we do have pressure plates and a button but there is a mosaic version to make the Mosaic version you are going to need bamboo

Slabs and you put one on top of the other and the outcome will be the Mosaic version now the Mosaic version can make Mosaic stairs and also slabs those are the only things that you could do with this you can make the block itself which again I think is going to be incredible

Flooring you can of course make the stair variation as well and we also have these slabs so again what team are you are you team Mosaic or are you team regular bamboo block a few more things to mention here with the regular bamboo you can actually make chests you can

Make crafting tables you can do everything that you normally do even make yourself sticks now talking about sticks if you would like to make yourself the fence and fence gates put it in this formation with sticks and the outcome is a bamboo fence but for me

I’ll be honest with you I think the bamboo fence should be made with bamboo rather than made with dick also available in this beta and preview is the bamboo raft this is available as a bamboo raft being the regular but also the bamboo raft with a chest now this

Works exactly like a boat and you can have let’s say a villager with you there you go you could take the Villager with you if you really wanted to and of course you do have the chest variation as well camels are the latest edition in Minecraft these will come in spawn egg

Form but a few things to be noted is that the Minecraft camel will naturally spawn inside of desert Villages this can be ridden by one or two players I have no friends to show you the second player but they are super awesome now they come

With a lot of Health now one thing I’ve noticed compared to bedrock Java has this feature Bedrock does not um if we have ourselves a saddle you can saddle up a camel by just tapping on it however the Bedrock players you have to get on it and then put the saddle on

There now if you do not have a saddle on it it’s the exact same as horses and all the other mobs that you can ride they just wander in their own Direction but if it does have a saddle you can take it in your own Direction you can kind of

See how it moves from side to side this is what the first person perspective looks like I really love of their floppy ears now they will in fact uh Sprint they do have a sprinting ability and they Dash there is a new dashing ability introduced to the game which we did see

During Minecraft live they are so fun to mess around with camels will randomly decide to just sit down on their own and that is what it looks like when they are trying to stand up which is super cool by the way like if we just grab

Ourselves a saddle here and we get on this one real quick there you go you can see he’s like no I don’t want to get off they’re super cool and they can be bred using cactuses and this will produce a baby camel which no it cannot be ridden

Now for the monsters out there that want to know the Minecraft camel it doesn’t currently drop anything a few people have said to me that camels should have a random chance of swatting with the wandering Trader in a badlands biome one feature that Minecraft Bedrock does not

Have yet is that camels should be be able to go over walls and also go over fences without any problems at all doesn’t look like it’s been implemented in this week’s beta or preview another thing for Java players is that mobs cannot or shouldn’t be able to attack

Players because mob the camel itself is three blocks tall this feature is also not available for Minecraft Bedrock Edition moving on to the chiseled bookshelf it says a new chiseled variation of the bookshelf crafted with six planks and Three Wooden slabs can store books book and quills and

Enchanted books holds up to six books keeps the stories and lore of Your World safe comparatus can detect the last book please flash removed let’s start off with the recipe so you need six of any kind of Plank and three of any kind of slab in the crafting table three Planks

On the top three in the bottom and three slabs in the middle and this is the outcome I really like this number one place the ball bookshelves or something we’ve wanted for a very long time number two it’s gonna be a really good floor design and it’s also gonna be a really

Good wall design so it’s multi-purpose people said that this one looks like a chocolate bar so let’s move on to how this works starting off with a comparison the bottom one is your regular bookshelf the top one is the new ones if you just tap on it it’s gonna

Take the books out for you one by one so six and be held inside of here now you can mix match so what I mean is you can use regular books and enchanted books so let’s say we did Regular book regular book book and quill book and quill

Enchanted book and enchanted book it’s gonna take them out in the exact same formation that you put them in so it it’s super cool there’s gonna be so many cool secrets that people are gonna create with this as the developers have mentioned it will be linked to Redstone

So your comparators as well so if we start filling this up you can see there that it knows that we’re starting to fill this up I’m not much of a redstone user but there’s going to be tons of secret doors that people make with these let’s move on to the hanging signs so

The first thing I want to mention with this is that there are three different variations of the hanging sign and they are all available in every single color now to craft it you are going to need two chains and any kind of stripped wood so for this recipe up left upright and

Then these go below now with regular signs you get three with sticks and planks with this you are rewarded with six in total so they’re super cool so the first variation that we have here is it sticks out right so hello YouTube If you are watching

Look at a sign and place another one you can see these are separated however if you crouch and look at it it will give you what they describe as a V shaped hanging sign now when we break this you’ll notice here that this does not break however if we were to break this

One you’ll notice that it does break so this one can just float and I imagine people are gonna mess around and break this mechanic like they do have regular signs and the forms that people make so again available in all colors including the new bamboo Bamboo version so we’ll

Place down a couple of these so you guys can have a little bit of a look at these I really really like the bamboo one as well by the way looks so cool so clean uh and they’re super awesome like let’s place this one we’ll do a v-shaped one

You can place it on an angle and you can keep turning this to whatever Direction you want and I think people who have uh smps or play multiplayer these are gonna be really good for stores so this is one of my favorite feature that was introduced in this beta and preview

Moving on to the non-experimental features and Bug fixes these are important by the way we do have vanilla parity spectator mode a laze no longer throw items to players in spectator mode moving on to blocks wooden doors iron doors wooden trap doors iron trap doors and fence gates now use the same opening

And closing sound effects as Java Edition so these have changed apparently I had absolutely no idea but once again matching Java updated pressure plates to have different pitches based on their behavior to match Java Edition so starting off with the regular one obviously this one is the heavy this is the light variation

Now the sounds indicate that along with added unique button click sound or wooden buttons to match Java Edition so I just wanted to play a couple of different sounds there so you can hear the differences crimson and warped block sets now have a unique set of sounds so

I’ve grabbed a couple of blocks there listen carefully to this while playing a tag baby villagers will now run at a quicker speed that matches Java Edition touch controls let’s read the chains log here are the latest changes to touch controls if you are on iOS or Android please go mess around

With these use that interface you can now bind the copy coordinates key with full keyboard gameplay turned on we got a bug report cannot use copy towards hotkey while full keyboard gameplay on it was an issue in the hotfix version and the latest previews it’s been fixed

Today moving on to world and dimension fixed a bug that could cause players to get stuck on the building terrain screen when changing Dimensions we’ve got a bug report apparently it’s been an issue for quite some time but people were getting stuck on these menu news and apparently

It was fixed today game play temporarily reverted the fix for effects being inherited by Bread mobs while a related issue is addressed first we got a bug report Reading the horses with the speed effect permanently increased his speed of Offspring with a spread with another horse and it had like a speed

Potion active the baby horse would have permanent speed it was a pretty funny bug they reverted it so it’s available now but they are gonna fix it and last but not least technical update it’s let’s read the change log there has been a lot of technical Updates this time so
