If minecraft is many things to many people it is a creative tool it is a game to get immersed in it is anything that you would want it to be raise raising is one of the key innovations that we think is next from minecraft our tech gives us that custom flavor for Each block you can’t see anywhere else we wanted to keep the authentic look of Minecraft and so push the boundaries with ray-tracing itix gives the minecraft world a brand new filter in normal minecraft a block of gold just appears yellow but with ray-tracing turned on you really get to see the Specular highlight you get to see the reflection you can even see a mob reflected in it when light catches or deep in a cave and you see its diamond you get that rush of excitement in a way you haven’t had before we can see the subtle reflections in the wood planks The light seeping in through the windows they hit the colored carpet and reflect off the wall and subtly color the walls and the environment all around them now that we can model each individual light ray we have the opportunity to simulate these advanced materials like ice emissive blocks such as lava now glow With more intensity radiating blooms of light the cast on two adjacent blocks revealing reflections of the aura we can model exactly how light filters through foliage as it lands on the ground we can model the atmospheric density as light comes through it forms natural light shafts with r-tx and minecraft water now Looks like water you see the reflection you see the refraction you see the color transmission through the surface working with NVIDIA to implement ray tracing for Minecraft has been incredible it has allowed the team here to focus just on Minecraft the game and NVIDIA is focused on the underlying technology for ray Tracing and together we’ve gotten to a point where we can really see minecraft with ray tracing come alive right in front of our eyes this is what we needed in order to like confidence go out and tell a community ray tracing is coming and you can come along for the ride Welcome back everyone my name is echo did anybody else get a little bit of deja vu after seeing that video but what you’ve just seen is the latest announcement coming from Minecraft and Microsoft with them canceling the super duper graphics pack it looks like this has come in its place so two main Announcements the render dragon which is a brand new engine which is coming to the bedrock version and also they’ve teamed up with Nvidia to introduce ray-tracing now from my understanding this is going to be free and it’s gonna be happening in the near future but I will keep you updated with everything That’s been posted the first thing I want to mention guys is this week you might see a bunch of news videos from me because currently happening in Germany right now is Gamescom it’s a massive gaming event where companies like minecraft and Microsoft announced their new things from my understanding as well During games calm people are gonna have the ability to get hands-on with Minecraft dungeons so possibly this week you could see a Minecraft dungeons video if you do enjoy this please be sure to hit that like button if you want to read more information about this I’ll leave a Link at the top of the comments section and in the description to everything I’m talking about in this video so it starts off with the Minecraft Twitter posting this really early this morning saying discover more about our new bedrock engine render dragon and our new partnership with NVIDIA that’s bringing Real time rate racing to Minecraft on devices capable of Direct X our that sentence was too long hey this is big news it’s justified and then they posted a link so we are not fully aware of what this is going to be supported or I think It’s gonna start on Windows 10 so if your minecraft bedrock Windows 10 player then you might enjoy this this might be the competition between two versions of minecraft minecraft’ Windows 10 and minecraft Java version now what you’re seeing I believe is being developed by minecraft itself meanwhile the shaders And the mods and everything you see on the Java version is actually developed by the community so the article starts with this render dragon in the video ray-tracing a new engine and a new way to experience minecraft minecraft’ is on so many platforms and the great thing about that Is that it opens up so many fun possibilities about how we can change the experience for each one we added touch controls when we developed the mobile version put you inside Minecraft on gear VR and enabled multiplayer across consoles and devices without better together update today we are Announcing two new ways we’re taking advantage of existing and updating hardware one we’re expanding the scope of Minecraft on bedrock platforms with our new engine the render dragon second we’re pushing the graphical possibilities of the game by partner partnering with Nvidia to bring real-time rate racing to Minecraft Prepare your eyes so from my understanding at this moment you know minecraft earth the one that’s currently in beta on your firm minecraft Earth is running the bedrock engine this is a picture that I found on social media coming from sacks who works with Minecraft you can see it right at the Top it says version 0.02 render dragon so it looks like the rendered dragon is already working successfully on minecraft devices and minecraft variants being minecraft F again it’s gonna spread out across more versions as you know as you should know the bedrock version is iOS Android Windows 10 Xbox And switch and hopefully very soon it’s gonna be playstation hopefully this week we can find some news regarding at the playstation version the article then continues to say we couldn’t be more excited to take advantage of the new ray-tracing technology from the video it’ll be playable of Windows 10 with Devices that are capable of Direct X R such as with a NVIDIA GeForce RT X GPU get the promotion right in there and we plan to expand it to future platforms that support DirectX R ray tracing with the capabilities of this tech you’ll be able to experience your minecraft worlds With realistic lighting vibrant colors realistic water that reflects and retracts naturally and emissive textures that light up what does it miss it means you’re able to see Minecraft like you’ve never seen it before well actually emissive is a technical objective that means having the power to radiate something especially light heat Or radiation but don’t ruin the moment watch the below video of ray tracing so I showed you guys that video at the start of today’s video a couple of things I want to point out from here is that it’ll be playable on Windows 10 to start off with that are capable of Supporting Direct X oh no I’m not fully into my tech so I really don’t know what other devices will be capable of supporting Direct X ah now I’m a little bit confused here because they went ahead and canceled the super duper graphics pack which was gonna be available for all bedrock platforms Being iOS Android Windows 10 Xbox and switch now this one doesn’t look like it’s going to be supporting all versions however with this being possible on bedrock my guess is they will give the files to the likes of iOS Android Xbox and and switch players to then make Their own kind of ray tracing and their own kind of shaders now although they’re saying it supports to start off Windows 10 doesn’t mean it’s just gonna be that version forever that’s what I’m understanding but again why would they cancel the super do graphics packing and Announce this but not give it to all versions that really doesn’t make sense to me now it is basically shaders they’re calling it ray tracing it is basically a shaders pack you seem via the the start video what it looked like on what it is however I am Really excited about this don’t own it RTX GPU I do own a 1080 so I don’t know if that’s gonna support it but we’ll find out more information about that as time goes by the optical then does continue to say we’ll have more news to share later this year as well as the Technical requirements naturally we want your feedback through every step of this process that’s why we plan to enable you to preview the ray tracing features by turning on optional graphics with RT X in the settings screen of Minecraft in a future beta you can expect that feature in the new year We also plan to an some of these new features such as improved emissivity and directional lighting on other bedrock platforms speaking of which okay so before we go into the whole render dragon thing because I do have some information about that it is going to be starting on Windows 10 there will be a beta available and this will be a feature that you can turn on and off directly inside minecraft itself so comparing this to Java shaders retracing the mods etc you need you usually need to install these kind of things on your own via AB Data put a file in this file put a file in that file see if it works load up the game and then go from there it looks like this will be built directly inside a Minecraft bedrock so you know when you go to your settings and you can turn on Beautiful skies and you can turn it off you can turn clouds on or off it looks like you’re gonna have the option for supported devices to turn on optional graphics with r-tx so I kind of do like that it’s gonna be on with the flick of A switch that is a great addition to Minecraft and it did say in that small part of the article we also plan to enable some of these new features such as improved in misty and directional lighting on other beverage platforms so that’s the kind of thing that you are More likely going to be seeing on iOS Android Xbox and switch it looks like basically because you if you have a good Windows 10 PC you have the power to do things like this meanwhile on iOS on Android on Xbox on switch you are incredibly limited but again if you guys Want to go read more about this there’ll be some links down below so the final part of this article is about the rendered dragon it’s a new engine that minecraft announced at the beginning of this year I don’t know how long it’s been in development but it’s really Promising so the article reads this you’ll see individual minecraft bedrock platforms update in the months ahead as we learn the capabilities of our lovely new game engine the render dragon you may have already seen a preview of the rendered dragon in action if you watched Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference On stage when we demoed minecraft Earth which is what I told you at the start of this video it featured edge highlighting and new lighting techniques which is just the star of the visual and performance upgrades we’re planning to make with the the dragon render dragon supports a Range of graphics features depending on your Don what your device is capable of not all devices will support ray-tracing but we will have some graphics enhancements on most devices again it’s all about taking advantage of different hardware to offer the smoothest minecraft experience possible no matter what device you’re playing on we’ll have More news to share soon so you can start trying out the new ways to play so this is really promising and case you guys don’t understand the rendered dragon is a new engine to try and support as many devices as possible wherever you’re using an old iPad or an old iPhone like A 5 or a 6 or whether you’re using a 7 8x iPad pro Samsung Galaxy Tab s 4 it’s gonna support as many devices as possible but what you see might not look as good so if you’re using an iPhone 5 it will support the same kind of Technical aaja chol abilities as like an iPhone X but the quality won’t be as good but you will still be able to experience it so I think this has been created because there’s that made device is available there’s that many iOS devices available there’s that many Android devices available and there are So many people playing on the bedrock version I don’t think it worries so much for the Xbox or the switches because there’s only selected different ranges of those it’s more for the likes of your handheld devices that are playing Minecraft so if I’m using an iPhone 7 Probably going to be capable of some of these abilities but probably not the higher-end stuff I’m expecting like the ray-tracing to be like hopefully my iPad pro is gonna work on that but it’s gonna be the high-end devices you’re gonna have to understand that it just simply won’t be possible on All devices with this kind of power comes responsibility as they say and some of those devices just don’t have the power to control those responsibilities but that’s everything you need to know from what I understand about the rendered dragon it is gonna be quite promising and you will start to See some changes and some betas as time does go by I’ll tell you what guys minecraft have been incredibly busy and if you do have any more questions feel free to leave them down below you can see a couple of pictures here of the ray-tracing now this is a Hundred-percent gonna be pictures from Windows 10 and the r-tx the highest quality that you can get because it’s a promotional thing the pitches are high-end I really love that ice one though looks brilliant and I am excited to try this out and see what other abilities does come along With this so that’s all the information I have for you if you have any more questions leave them down below in the comment section and I will answer them later on this week because I’m pretty sure we will find out more information as time goes by and it’s Gamescom 2019 The ray-tracing I’m super excited about it but I’m also keeping it at the back of my mind although I don’t think they would make the same mistake twice by canceling it like they did with the super duper graphics pack and the rendered Dragon engine is super promising guys because if you’ve got a Low-end device you’re still gonna have somewhat the same ability as a high-end device might be like narrowed down slightly in the quality might not be as good but it’s gonna be super exciting going forward so guys have a great day stay beautiful course catch you next time Video Information
