The interesting thing in today’s video is the Minecraft developers have already told the community that they know what the next major update is going to be when the nether update is released so my question to you guys in this video is what area of Minecraft needs to be Updated next but welcome back everyone my name is echo and I hope you’re having a great day today’s minecraft video is a brand new minecraft news roundup episode just me keeping you all updated with what’s happening in the Minecraft community so as you guys know we currently have minecraft and other Updates snapshots happening and with that happening the developers have kind of come out of hiding they’re more active on social media they’re asking us questions we’re asking them questions they’re looking for a lot of feedback but yeah they told us that they already know what the next major update is going To be fingers crossed it’s a cave update now I’m gonna have to start today’s video off on a negative and that is because this year 2020 minecon was returning to its normal form where the likes of me and you we could purchase tickets we could go to an Actual event we could kind of hang out we could kind of watch the whole show together for the past two or three years mine cons being called mine called live it’s a live show you see Jeb and Agnes talk about the next major updates we get to vote for Something which is pretty cool that’s still gonna be happening this year but Minecon called Minecraft Festival has been postponed or better yet canceled until next year this is because of the corona virus outbreak better known as Kovan 19 which is quite serious at this moment there’s a couple of cases like 10 Minutes down the road for me so I’m staying in this room for quite some time but posted on the official Minecraft website there’ll be a link down below for you guys to read it minecraft festival postpones but minecraft live is still happening so the live show is still happening around about September Time you were excited we’re excited over all excitement was palpable as minecraft festival tickets were going to be released on Friday of this week officially kick starting the countdown to our in person block Stravaganza this September but after careful consideration and much hand wringing we have decided to postpone the event until Next year in the recent weeks the koban 19 outbreak has led many organizers to cancel or postpone gathering and events across the world as a relative measure to ensure the health and safety of their guests the situation around Minecraft festival however is a little different September is still many months away and We are not making any predictions about how long it will take to put the outbreak behind us the decision is rather a result of the extensive preparations required to it to organize a mammoth event like this now there’s a little bit more things to read with this I recommend checking it out but in all in all guys minecraft festival Minecon has been postponed cancelled this year there would just be a live event so you probably still got to do the voting system you’ll probably still see Jeb and Agnes showcasing new features and stuff Like that at least we get that right well yeah a little bit bummed because I wanted to go to this it was gonna be in Florida I’ve never been to Florida so getting into the next news for today’s video this is a tweet coming from Jabba who is The lead pixel artist at Mojang he tweeted this saying what does minecraft what does the Minecraft community one for art what kind of building blocks what do you expect to see in future updates no post-processing or tech stuff please he then follows this tweet saying What do you want to build or what do you need to enhance your current building so basically he snuck in for feedback he’s there the pixel artists so in terms of block design what are you guys wanting to see what is going to enhance your building experience in Minecraft now Myself and many others did respond and this is our response my warmest concrete stairs please and some responses saying and slabs because I would love to see them Rob’s response was more variants of chiseled stone slash sandstone etc the stonecutter could allow you to create designs in certain blocks for example There’s a bunch of ways bran eye is cut RL why not in Minecraft the next one mmm more kinds of bricks and concrete slabs like stairs mega vests prime log trapdoors cobblestone doors I don’t think that’s a serious one but okay minecraft news would love to see some more wildlife mobs like squirrels Hedgehogs butterflies and owls the awkward work you’ve done on the curb mobs is great so yeah I think more wildlife is definitely needed I think the introduction of bees was a great experience I just think having a very different ambience experience in Minecraft is what they add to it yes They do have a little bit of functionality such as honey honey bottles honey combs etc but I would love to see more wildlife introduced Birds I think Birds could be a brilliant introduction to the game so getting into the main focus of today’s video this is coming from dinner bone now dinner bone Is a longtime Minecraft Java developer I think he’s recently changed positions but he tweeted this saying the Minecraft team just got back from a few days workshop where we tried to come up with as many ideas as we can to fit into the next update we already knew the theme But this is the stage where we’re trying to go through all the community and dev suggestions for content ideas now before we go any further with his tweets if you guys have any feedback or at all or suggestions on things you would like to see introduced post it on the Minecraft Feedback website I think they’ve been spending quite a lot of time going through the suggestions if you look at the features that we are set to see things like bees things like bamboo and the building with bamboo those things for community suggested a very very long time ago things like the babu trees Things like new cactuses the check the termites all these things were community suggested so I reckon we could see even more community suggested features just found it interesting that he confirmed that they already knew or the next theme is going to be fingers crossed is going To be a cave update he then follows this tweet by saying this isn’t a full team photo not everyone is comfortable with being on the Internet not everyone could make it and we have some guests but gosh we’re growing the whole Minecraft been there team is now 34 I think people strongly Split into bedrock Java and gameplay design so that’s certainly it’s a lot of people just focus in on the survival vanilla side of Minecraft so it just goes to show that they still have a lot of plans to keep the survival and the vanilla going don’t forget that’s the Core game of Minecraft he then follows the tweet was saying if there’s interest I’ll probably document more about how we work in the future I’d love to show off an update from start to finish but it’s always so tricky to find the time I would love to see the whole entire Process of how a Minecraft update starts down to theme I would love to know what they base a theme off now the past couple updates have been definitely needed community features like you look up the update aquatic that need to happen the oceans were boring and playing the other one village in pillage Not so much the pillager aspect but villages definitely need to be updated in terms of their design and how the villages worked the nether update is another area of Minecraft that’s needed to be updated so for me the next update it’s got to be a cave update if it’s not A cave update it’s got to be Sky I’ll be very disappointed if it’s end because the end was updated well before caves it’s probably the best way for me to say but I would love to see the process of how they start an update and then how They finish it this is a response to dinner bones tweets how far do you guys plan in advance two or three updates now dinner burn response saying various stages are planning right this minute we have one update the nether in progress one update about to head into prototype Phase and one in brainstorming phase and we have ideas but not confirmed for the next update after that so they kind of worked two or three updates ahead so fingers crossed they have the cave update plan because if you ask the community everyone wants to see some Changes to caves and everyone says well what would you what would you introduce if you’re going to change caves echo for me I would definitely like to see some more dynamic changes per biome for example ice biomes should have ice caves desert biomes should have desert cave Swamps could have like swamp lakes down below I would look see different variations of mob spawning at different levels your creepers of one level your zombies at one level those kind of those kind of things I’d like to see some more diverse caves every single cave is the same in Minecraft apart from Two places that I can think of one of them is a Mesa biome where we have gold at irregular levels and more consistent mine shafts which is pretty good the other one is of course extreme hills where you find the likes of your emerald I want to have a point I want to have a reason to go to specific underground caves that’s that’s how I would change caves in my opinion another question asked towards Dinnerbone just to clarify with the next update you mean 1.16 or 1.17 and say yes for 1.16 the dinner Bones response was there’s always a possibility we decide to put out a smaller release between the ones we’ve already planned so version numbers are tricky we plan them by theme internally so basically that’s saying that 1.16 which is current in another update and then 1.17 isn’t necessarily going to be The next major update it would be the next update at the moment they’ve been doing one major update per year and one end end of year update which has been smaller update with bamboo pandas and things like that the end of last year was bees honey honey blocks and stuff Like that so for the next major minecraft update you’re probably talking 1.18 but again we shouldn’t really focus on numbers as they say and in terms of information that’s basically all we have for you I was just checking how much information I have for you but yeah I Think that’s all we currently have at this moment the developers have been again pretty active in social media but it’s good to see that they are they’re wanting feedback from us rather than just releasing a brand new update I think community feedback is more important and I think they’re quite Transparent now with what they do release but that’s everything I wanted to cover in today’s video any more questions you have let me know down below in the comment section and down the coronavirus man ruin a mind con guys Video Information
