Ector Vynk – Minecraft: How To Build A Large Modern House Tutorial (Easy Survival Minecraft House )

Hello my name is hector and in today’s build tutorial we’re going to learn how to build this large modern house so let’s get straight into it so this house is a 20 by 18 plot but you can easily adapt it to make it bigger or smaller or

Resize it and i’ll kind of talk whilst we’re building this particular version how you can go about doing that now for those who want to know there is a door down here but there is also a door up here now you could have both you could have one or the other it’s

Entirely up to you but let’s get started so the materials mainly that you will need are spruce wood planks stairs blocks of quartz court stairs and black glass panes now if you don’t have you know a lot of quartz on you which i totally understand you could always

Substitute that for something like snow or wall or maybe you don’t even want to do it in in something white you could easily do it in wood as well it’s entirely up to you but what you want to do is start with a 19 by 18 so not 20 but 19 by 18

Box like this and then what you want to do is go kind of two up like that and what we’re going to do is make that pattern all the way around like that okay so that exact pattern two stairs on top of each other like that and then when

You got to the corners you’re gonna go around like that so do that all the way around now a tip for that is that if you do put some kind of temporary blocks like that it makes it a lot simpler to place those blocks so go ahead and do

That all the way around and then when you have that done you should get something like this so now all you need to do is just fill in the floor level now you can do it with slabs if you want to save some resources i’m just going to

Do it with planks and when you’ve done that you should get something like this now on this side here what’s going to happen is that that wall on that side is going to come one over okay and this is eight long so one two so actually let’s do it like this one two

Three four five six seven and then eight like that okay so you won’t actually need those so you could save some resources um by putting stuff like that so just here just to make it look a little bit nicer what you want to do is just there we go it’s just

Finished that off like that so you get you get the corner stair and on this side on this side rather than it going kind of into straight into a a corner there you just want to finish off by putting it straight like that okay so that is nice

And simple now what we’re going to do is on this side on the actual corner we’re again going to have another eight like that and then we’re gonna go up five so one two three four five and there again one two three four five so that is five like that uh and

Then we’re going to come all the way across so we should get the same we should meet up there like that and then we’re gonna do the same again now it does go up higher but this is just to make it so that you can easily follow

Along so that should you know that should be quite simple to make yourself and then here what’s to happen is that we’re going to have a staircase going up to that edge there you can see it is just over there so let’s just build that

Quickly so we go up like that and like that like that and i think one more just like that so let’s just do that there we go and let’s drop down do the stairs like that like that so that should basically that should meet up with

Yeah there we go and you can see that meets up that meets up really quite nicely so next bit right so we’re gonna join this bit up here now as well there we go and come along here and go all the way across like this and there we go now it’s at

This point where you could easily if you so wish you could make this longer here like this you could bring this out more or you could make this deeper okay so this is entirely up to you this is a very adaptable design it’s quite a simple you

Just have you know the kind of square box shapes and within that you can easily adapt as you see fit if you see here you could make this bit thinner if you wanted in fact you could even reduce the depth here as well and you know you

Could just go out to here it’s entirely up to you all of all of this section could move over a few blocks if you wanted it’s entirely up to you how you kind of you know want to adapt this to your style i’m just giving you a very

Basic framework and then you can go from there now what we what we’re then going to do once you have this you’re going to go another five one two three four five like that one two three four five and do that on all the corners and then when you when you have that

You’re just going to join them oh we’re just going to join them all up and then what you do very simply uh for this bit is just like we did on the um on the deck in here you just fill in the roof completely now you can do it with slabs

Again if you want uh what you will get though is you know you’ll see half this block if you do it with slabs i decided to do it with with them with blocks but that’s because i’m in creative so it’s not too much of a

Thing for me to use full blocks if you don’t want to spend all that quartz then i’d suggest doing it with slabs so fill in the entire roof and then once you’ve done that you can fill in the first floor as well so go ahead and fill all

Of that in two and once you’ve done that you should get this and i’ve just realized that pillar does not need to be there no it does not that was a little error right let’s get started on the downstairs so what i did i just added another column here like that because i

Want this section to be too in and then count one two three four five and build up this wall now again this can be totally you know changed to as to your specifications you can have it longer you can have it shorter you can bring this in a little bit this way so

It starts there instead it’s completely up to you so what we do then is come out here so we have a nice little corner and then just bring this all the way out right to the edge and uh and bring that there and then we bring this out all the way as well

Like that and then we can come around like that and bring that to there so you get a nice little box shape and i believe i put a column here as well yes i did so let’s just add that as well on this side so nice column here just to finish that off

And then again you know this bit um come come to here and basically let’s add the roof uh so just fill this in completely and then we’re gonna start placing the glass now what i did on this side here is i added a wall there then left the gap off

To and then added that now again you can change this however you like if you want you know more kind of columns you can add those if you want i kind of just decided to have uh just those columns there so um i use black glass because i think it

Looks the nicest in modern builds but again you can completely change um the design if you want and let’s try and do that there we go so fill all of this side in and that side and then we’re going to do the upstairs as well but first fill this

Side in and that side with black glass so upstairs and what we’re going to do is at the top here we’re gonna just make uh two columns like this and this is where i put the upstairs door uh and what i did i kind of put a staircase um a stair

There and a glass pane there just to you know just to make this a little bit nicer and then all along here we have a glass pane now what i did um as you can see over here i actually left a block okay a block on the outside a completely

Glass pane free so what this means is you need to put another column here and then all along here we have glass pane so meeting up like that and then you want to do the top as well and now obviously placing uh pain is a total pain so it might take you a

While to do and you have to kind of line everything up correctly otherwise it doesn’t work what i tend to do is do it like this so line it up with the top and then just go along and kind of spam click it works obviously better in creative but

It might it should work in survival as well um there we go let’s go all the way along like that and there we have it let’s go outside and take a look at that so that’s what you should end up with now believe it or not we’re kind of

Coming to almost the end of how to build this and you might think well hector there’s a lot of holes still left and that’s because well it kind of depends i think to me how you want to do it so for for me personally i kind of filled these

Sides up completely with blocks and i think this build would work exceptionally well um if there was something behind here so maybe a mountain or you know some some uh the side of a cliff or something i think that would work really quite nice maybe a forest

But anything like that would work you don’t have to the this is just something i think would work particularly nice but i what i did for my build is i i blocked these walls off here like that like that and i did the back one as well

And i’ll show you how i just adapted a few of these things like that so we have that there and then obviously we need to come in here we need to come here there we go let’s make a door there that is where i put my

Door and just finish that off there so you can see that’s got an empty space so we can just add that there like that now it’s up to you where you put the door i decided to make it a little bit um a little bit off-center you could of

Course if you wanted if you preferred uh put the door there in fact let’s do that let’s do that for this um for this tutorial then what i did for an entrance way is just follow that path along and then come here and just knock those

Two out and then put two stairs there instead i quite like that it creates a nice kind of jarring effect because of the stairs are in opposite directions i think that looks really quite nice you could of course you don’t have to do that you could easily if you wanted at

Stairs like that you know and make it make it a bigger thing and then obviously you you might want to fill that in like that it’s up to you and i just thought i just think that’s quite nice it’s it’s kind of like it’s cut into that particular that particular thing

And then what you want to do um at the back here and this is very much down to personal taste um is how how much window do you actually want i kind of feel because there’s a lot of windows at the front it’s kind of better to have less

Windows at the back so that’s exactly what i did and if you go in here you’ll see how i kind of started decorating um the inside so we have the door there what i did under these stairs is a nice sneaky little storage chamber uh like a

Little closet where i can keep all the all the kind of minecrafty stuff out of the way and hidden and then we come in here and you can see i’ve only got one window on the back here and i’ve used a nice big painting and another big

Painting on this side as well to really kind of well just just use that space i never use big paintings usually and i thought this large house would be the perfect opportunity you can see i’ve used quite a lot of paintings around i like using bookcases in kind of

The edges here i think that works really quite well then in here i’ve just used it as a kind of dining room basically very simple you could do more with it you can make it into a living room if you wanted you could have instead of a glass pane wall there you

Could have a proper wall and maybe put like a tv screen there or something like that completely up to you and then towards upstairs i’ve made like a very very simple staircase so it’s just three stairs like that and then another two going that way and this is right in this

Corner and you can see i’ve added a few more windows on this side okay so i’ve added one here another painting there some more windows very very simple things and then this is obviously where we have that now you could easily adapt this um so much more

To your kind of things i’ve added a chiseled stone wall there just to make that bit look nicer i’ve added pillar there just to make that pan as you go come up i think that looks quite nice from out here the only thing is from from this side it looks less nice and

You can see the back looks a little bit odd with those windows now some suggestions that i think would work is adding if you’ve seen my other modern houses they often have this kind of design like that uh adding some of those to the back i think would work nice you could easily

Like add three all the way across like that if you wanted some windows in in between like that i think that would work rather well um like that and then you could either bring them right round to the front and maybe drop them there or you could just

Have them stop at the top here somewhere kind of up to you that adds a very different kind of uh a completely different kind of look to it but i think it could work it’s completely up to you this is where you need to start taking

Over and kind of designing this how you want to so again here you might find that that wall is too empty you might want to do something with it or you might place a tree there to kind of break that up and but otherwise this is

Kind of finished all you need to do is do the inside now i don’t like doing interiors in tutorial videos because mainly uh especially with a house like this because you can adapt it a lot you can make it a lot bigger you can make this

Wider you can make that deeper and i just think if you’re gonna do that then me doing a interior kind of tutorial is not really going to help you so i’m just going to walk through the house now and if you want to copy anything you can easily

Easily do so and just pause the video and see what i’ve done like that it’s you know not too simple uh not too hard i’ve made it very simple and we have a nice bed there with some some shelves bookcase with a nice little seating area and i just thought a nice

Armor stand i like armor stands with armor on i think they look pretty nice so there we have it that is how to make a large modern house and it’s based on one that i saw in real life um well a real life picture of so i thought it would work really quite
