Embers continues! Part 3: Armor & Alchemy! Minecraft 1.10.2!

Welcome to the mischief I’m Valen and this is embers today we’re going to be covering a whole lot of things including how you can make your own ashen armor Plus how you can socket gems into them as well as use aspectus in combination with your alchemy setup in order to make

The materials for it as well as glimmer crystals used to make glimmer lamps all by way of your very own beam cannon got a lot to get done today so let’s get to it so where to begin the armor itself you can’t actually make without an alchemy setup because it requires ashen fabric

On all pieces so in order to make ashen fabric you’ll need an alchemy setup and in order to make some of the alchemy setup you may need some things called aspectus aspectus are basically a little bit of each different item now the recipe of which if you look on jei is a

Little confusing a number shard plus a plate stamp and some kind of you get a copper aspectus with a little bit of molten copper it’s like a live that that’s a little confusing but it’s actually straightforward and I’m about to demonstrate that for you each one will require a little bit of its

Respective material LED dome stone iron silver or copper depending on what you may need in your alkalizing setup now it’ll all make sense in the end but I’ve got a piece all the parts together for you so just bear with me now if you have your mixer centrifuge hooked up with

Some copper and gold going into it and it’s outputting to molten dawn stone you have that hooked up to a stamp base that is a facing a Stamper and that you have a whole bunch of dawn stone ready to go into it right now I barely got any in it

But I just need to flip this lever and it’ll be good you’re going to want to get some ember shards now I’m making a dawn stone aspect us right now now if you change out the molten metals it’ll be the same exact results with a different material so if you have molten

Iron in here instead of molten dawn stone then you would get the molten you would get the iron aspect of right now I’m demonstrating with the dawn stone one so if I put this in here therefore it will hold this and then stamp around it so if I flick the lever

It should then once it’s got enough material in there stamp myself and aspectus and then any subsequent ones are going to be turned into plates so something that you’re going to want to keep in mind but that is basically how you create an aspectus or if i should probably shut that off or

Else i’m going to be up the posed on stone plates for the entire video probably will for half the video as it is but with these you can then start the creation of your alchemy pedestals now alchemy pedestals in their creation don’t require aspect us but in

Order for them to function they do so the recipe for those was going to be of course some plates which I’ve got a whole bunch getting into my inventory right now plus ingots amber crystal and a block of copper plus gamma Knight brick stairs and that you’ll need at

Least a few of these I would recommend maybe like three I should probably get all the needs that you that you would need but if you want to pretty it up a bit you know like I have one of every type here your copper lead iron silver

And I actually have two Dawn Stone ones but that’s because I’m going to be showing you something that requires two of them at the same time and you can just you know set up your own little altar area plus you’re going to need an exchange tablet an exchange tablet is

Made very simply with copper dawn stone and some cabinet stuff it’s not too bad of a recipe if you have jei hooked up those should be fairly straightforward recipes to get rid of these plates and actually I don’t need this extra dawn stone aspectus either cuz they’re to

Have them here now you’ll notice that there is like a little bounding box around the top of this now if I take one of these aspectus I right click it it will go into that location it doesn’t really matter which one and it’s good to go at that point

This becomes an incense bin or a brazier of sorts that you will insert different action piles into so if I type in the ash in here and I bring myself a bunch of action a sh piles there we go I now have a bunch of ash piles I can

Insert them if you look at the top there is it’s empty and if I right click with ash pile it will take up to the entire stack that your holding you just right-click to get the aspects off right-click again and you can take the ash pile out then you can

Put the aspect is back in now it’s specific quantities you’re going to want in there in order to create what it is on the exchange tablet think of this as you’re putting a bunch of materials on here plus you’re going to be using the ash piles as sort of like a fuel of

Sorts to exchange the items for another item that you want and the beam cannon is going to be used to kind of kickstart that now let me demonstrate the beam cannon in another way before we actually get into that process though this beam cannon here if I choose a location I can

Tell it a spot that it can shoot at for instance I’m shift right clicking with a hammer and it will then go to that area once I just right-click on the beam cannon and you can see it is now aiming in that direction the reason I

Have chosen this is because I’m going to right-click for konga let’s press the button and we have a wonderful pig conga line going on I priox lick this lever and in a few moments here you will see the demonstration of the beam cannon in action how wonderful is that it is very

Powerful very destructive it is not going to destroy you know like blocks and such but it will kill entities quite easily as demonstrated there now using a beam cannon there may be a slight delay the laser may have a slight delay in its youth so just bear with it it all

Depends on how much ember is in it it requires a minimum of a thousand but any use of it will use up any ember in it so then you’ll need to recharge it as I have set up here these guys are all recharging it as fast as I possibly can

With one unit but some and it also may just have a delay from starting it up but I want it currently to be powering this exchange tablet so right click and then I’m going to right click the beam cannon and it now aims over there now if I just flick the switch there’s

Nothing over here right now so it’s not actually going to do anything it will take a moment and it will just fire and we’ll go kind of screw it because it’s it’s trying to exchange stuff on the tablet you’re going to want to be careful because if

You leave that on and you go over there and you’re putting things on the exchange tablet it will shoot you and you will probably die so you got to be careful it’s very powerful but the idea here actually I know there’s the aspectus there okay good let me empty

Out this junk is that I’m going to alkalize something on here now at the cost of a bunch of ash pile which is usually just some mundane material most likely put into one of these here your cinder plants which I have received many of these in the past or I’ve shown you

How to use this in the past videos please check out another video of mine on embers in order to find that out but if you place this these ash piles resulting from that in here in specified quantities on some of these plants then you will be able to use it in

Combination with materials to make other materials I’m going to demonstrate how to make iron ore and you’d think well why do I want to make iron ore because from a single iron or you could feasibly make infinite amounts provided you have enough mundane garbage material to burn

Up in your asset to make into ash piles so the recipe for iron ore if you click are in jei it’s a very handy mod I recommend you get it otherwise it’s going to make things very difficult but then it’s a little confusing looking on here a stone iron

Ingot and a bunch of ash piles and what this means in the iron aspect is so therefore it actually has a variance 16 to 32 each person or instance might have a different amount so it’s not going to be the same for everybody what I find

Here is not necessarily going to be the same for you but allow me to actually I need to bring iron back again let me grab one of these and I’ll get the piece of stone and actually I’m going to grab two pieces of stone and I’m going to right click here and you’ll

See that there are now multiple pieces of stone on there you don’t want that you actually just want one piece of stone so make sure you separate these out from the quantities because multiple quantities on here don’t work it just gives you garbage every time

So you’re going to want it to be just single pieces now if you click on the side it will show up on the side for instance I can click here here I can click a whole stack of ash pile and so on so you can understand that if you

Click on the top face it will go directly in the middle so this is how you set things up there for the recipe for making iron ore is one iron ingot and one stone so if I put there there and then I just need to figure out the

Recipe with the quantity of ash pile now the recipe here says 16 to 32 it’s not going to tell you exactly you’ve got to figure it out for yourself so let’s start at what one end of the spectrum I’m going to put 16 in here and what was the aspectus it needed iron

Makes sense alright so I’ll put 16 in there to start with and then I can work up from there now all I need is it to kick-start now if you look here it currently has the ash inside of there so let me flick this lever and we can see

This thing go to work and it will be relatively quick because it’s a very small item but you’ll also notice that all of the aspects will be activated when this launches but you’ll notice only one of them is pulsing and that’s the iron one because it is currently

Taking the ashes from that area so that is how that works from that it will pop off a piece of elk chemical waste you can see 89 percent accuracy so therefore I need to get a little bit closer to what it is I’m going to toss in two more

Ash piles and see if that’s actually going to be the correct amount so that is the variance there 16 to 32 it said well I’m just adding in like a couple more and seeing if it’s closer it might be less it might be more but I find

Starting at one end of the spectrum and working to the other is probably the easiest way to go because you never know if you start in the middle this is 89% if you need to go less or more now in this case I’m going to put that stone

Over here and I’m going to need to get rid of this I could always burn this alchemical waste and turn it into more ash pile but for now I’m going to grab another piece of iron now there is a little bit of experimentation on this so

You might have a little bit of wasted materials but in the end you should be able to figure it out oh there we go there was no delay on that one that time and it should if I if I correct give me a and there we go

I just got a piece of iron ore so with that you can then use your other setups to duplicate iron ore into multiple ingots and then you can take more of this to make more and more and more now the good thing with this so with the

Exchange tablet you can make a lot of things at least eight different recipes at this time copper ore you can duplicate silver or lead gold your standard or is really a plus a few from this month and then you can also make ashen fabric in a similar manner as well

As an inflictor gem and glimmer crystal now the glimmer inflictor gem is what you’re going to use the socket in your your cape or your cloak from the armor set and if you need ashen fabric it is also going to be used for that currently

I’m going to show you how to make a glimmer crystal which is a similar mechanic but the reason I’m showing you this is because these all use less than a stack of each type this one here uses more than a stack so I’m going to demonstrate this so that you know how to

Actually make recipes that require more than a stack in this case now there we go so it says that I need to redstone one on each on one side one on another a couple of gunpowder one Dimond on top and of course I’m going to need lots of

Ash pile and in this case I already know my recipe because I’ve made this recipe a few times now and it shouldn’t be an issue but because I have more than 64 so 33 plus 33 is going to be more than 64 and in fact here I’ll stack them

Together you see that there’s two left over you can split them up into it doesn’t have to be equal stacks but I just found that if you do equal stacks it’ll be a little bit quicker because it’ll take them at the same rate from these these pedestals here I’m going to

Put 33 and 133 and another you can make more alchemy pedestals and you know what you know you divide them up even more so that you can speed things up but currently when I flick this lever remember before I said that it draws all these lines to all the different aspects

On the pedestals that’s not a problem it’s just for forming a network if you will so therefore it’s accessing all of these pedestals but it’s only pulling from those that actually have the ashes in there and in this case these two you see the pulse is coming down on these beams feeding into

This situation and therefore it should make a glimmer crystal and you’ll just use a similar result in order to make the other pieces like the ash and fabric or so on and or the inflicted gem now it’s possible you may have a bugged recipe in 110 – version of Minecraft you

Might find that performing like an inflictor gem or some such might result with 0% no matter what amounts of ash and tiles or ash piles you put in your pedestals so in that case you might want to check with your server admin and see if they’ll just exchange some results or

You know products with you so that you can get the items that you’re looking for but it should be fixed in the version minecraft version 111 – which means you’d have to upgrade your minecraft version optimized version per say that your minecraft version up to the next version so that you can say

Version one more time but so that you can get that thing going on now this mod has continued on into minecraft 111 – for future mod maintenance if you are interested and there are good reasons behind that I recommend you check it out but don’t feel that there’s you know

Anything bad is it wasn’t like being abandoned for 110 – it just started in 110 – and is moving on to the future for a bigger and brighter one now with this glimmer crystal another reason I wanted to show you this is so you can make a

Glimmer lamp yeah the use for this is basically just some iron flights a couple iron ingots and around that glimmer crystal gets you that glimmer lamp now how is this useful well this is practically an infinite light source so if I just kind of aim here I can shoot

Down little like laser beams and they’ll turn into these little torches that will just you know kind of fade out fade back in again they should stay there forever unless you punch one and which case just goes away like most you know torches or light sources that are magical of some

Sort and if they don’t stick on something or they pass it for some reason you know don’t worry just try it again or put some blocks down nearby so that it has an easier way of you know linking into that spot it’s not a perfect thing but it is a infinite

Light source you can carry with you instead of stacks with actual torches plus it looks really pretty in comparison to torches in my opinion and is much more thematic for the mud now all that being said let’s get into the armor itself which has some unique properties without it even being just

Armor now first and foremost of course the ashen fabric you’d need to ash piles two pieces of string on that with the alchemy recipe in the wool in the middle and then for both iron and silver you’d need you know 12 to 24 ash piles on the

Side we’ll get you to ash fabrics now your boots are going to be the most expensive because you need at least three recipes of that in order to make these then you’ve got your ashen leggings which requires some dawn stone plus the fabric and you’ve got your

Cloak which is going to be the key part of the set it’s going to be your dawn stone plates ingots plus a little bit of fabric and of course your goggles which are done as such here with a piece of string at the back now if you have an

Entire set then your action cloaks can gain some special abilities if you add them if you do not add them it will not have the special abilities but allow me to demonstrate on the back of the cloak here you see that there are these little sockets this

Is the area that you can put your inflictor gems now the inflictor gems can accept certain damage types and when you take those damage types they will therefore give a specific difference like actually I’ll have two on my hotbar here and let’s say let’s walk into some some fire

And I need to be not in creative mode there we go so it now took some damage actually I took some damage it was just so quick that nothing happened or I don’t know it doesn’t matter it’s still in the like creative mode or something like that but it took an attuned damage

In fire now if you find other damage types you can also in be those or you can just add more fire to the inflictor gems and have multiples of them now the reason you would want these let me actually get a bunch more of these gems here gem grab a bunch of them

And I don’t know if I can actually do us back at a time that it looks like I might be able to yeah yes yes I can if you need to undo this you just shift right click it will take away half your health but at least it will unto it and

Then you should be good to go now the reason I’m showing you these is because if you have yourself a cloak plus some string just the single pieces enough and up to seven inspector Jensen you notice these ones are all fire for demonstration purposes you can make somewhat different damage types but you

Won’t find that you know every damage type in the game will not be available for inflictor gems for instance if I’m shot by an arrow from a skeleton then it’s it’s not going to give me like a projectiles or something like that but it should reduce the damage you take

From this type of dim from this damage type considerably about like 80 if each one were to represent 1/8 of the damage that you could take it would reduce it by about you know one eighth of that per gem so since you could add up to about

Seven therefore you can make yourself an ashen cloak that has socketed pretty much almost entire fire protection now you will take while standing in fire you will damage you over time now in this case you can see I am taking some damage but it’s taking considerable amounts of

Damage for it to happen and of course I can just eat some food and I will definitely out heal that without a problem you see I’m walking around and it it’s not an issue so I take considerably less damage now I’m just using fire as an example there are

Multiple damage types that you may have the potential to be able to block and the mod is currently being updated still to future versions that may include other damage types too and this should conclude the demonstration of the alchemy setup the glimmer lamp your embedded ashen clothing as
