Ever wanted to make shiny items with glowing animations from enchantments, without actually having a working enchantment on it? Here you go!
Explanation of the Data Tag: {ench:[0:{id:15}]}
Here, we are working with NBT data, but in-game. What actually the tag does:
1. Searches for a TAG_List with the name of -ench-, which contains a list of all enchantments the item has.
2. Takes the first -Enchantment Slot- of ID of 0 for editing.
3. Takes the ID that determines the enchantment of the item and then changes it to ID of 15, which isn’t an actual enchantment, so it displays the glowing, but no enchantments are on it. In this case, 15 can be changed for any ID that is not used by an enchantment. You can use whatever number you want if it isn’t in the following list:
Used Enchantment IDs: 0-7, 16-21, 32-35, 48-51 and 61-62
UPDATE: This is all a mistake. The enchanted item animation appears when the enchantment compound exists in the item. This means you can simply do this:
/give [Player] [Item] [Amount] [Damage/Data Value/BlockState] {inch:[]}
UPDATE 2: As of 1.11, the enchantment glint will not appear if there is an empty enchantment list. Now it is back to how I explained it: You must include an enchantment with an invalid ID, such as -1.
WARNING: Putting one of this items into an anvil WILL cause a client crash.
