EP1: Overpowered Start – Minecraft Vault Hunters!

Foreign Hunters own the void Hunters SMP if the fully Enchanted netherrite armor and gear didn’t give it away this is going to be a little bit of a different style eating started episode that’s because we’ve already spent some time on the server getting to know this incredible and amazing group of content

Creators we’re going to be playing Minecraft with also wanted to spend some time familiarizing myself with the Modpack because I’m used to more progression based mod packs and Vault Hunters is very much an RPG based mod pack it focuses on the Mysteries and dangers of a dimension called The Vault it

Features many Vault Hunter specific items and mobs like armor weapons totems currency and even bosses players can develop their own talents and abilities while trying to achieve the goal of collecting all 25 unique artifacts which unlocks the final challenge as we progress I will continue to introduce more elements of the mod pack

But for now how about we take a quick look around and see what everyone has been up to on the server Thank you but we’re currently located in the server’s Visitor Center well they have a really cool map of Spawn that we can take a moment to look at the Green Dot is where we’re currently located and around that is what I presume is a modded pre-generated village where they’ve turned all the

Houses into starter homes except for the castle the castle is the actual spawn location that you log into and where the spawns nether portal is located to the north is some Community areas so we have a trading Hall an empty building that’s not currently being used and the

Community storage where we also have the scare floor and we’ll go into what that is and take a tour of that in just a bit to the south of that we have some Community Farm it yourself areas and even further to the right is where they started setting up some automated Farms

So we have a wool Farm a modded create circular Farm that’s multiple stories and some additional buildings that are under construction and around spawn there is a couple builds popping up but most people have moved further away for the most part that’s spawn on a map how about we take

A venture outside and look around so we’re currently located at the castle where the nether portal is at there really isn’t too much more here there’s a couple cool buildings on the back side of the castle here as well as two of The Bays that pump up near spawn

If we hop down you can see there is a vault portal and we’ll get into what this is in just a bit right outside the castle doors is in C’s house which is a really cool design I’m curious if this was regenerated or if you built this because it doesn’t really

Match any of the other build if we head up the stairs you’ll see Misty’s starter home and over here is short Zelda starter home behind that is where we’ve got some new buildings going up where the sheep farm and the create Farm is at and if we head down this way this is

Where the visitor center is located and oh someone just flew over us hello over here is the community Farms that we were talking about and these are really nice I’m not sure who designed these but I think they turned out right now we can pop in and take a moment to

Look at the villager trading Hall inside of here we have several villagers available for various trades we’ve got sent up so we can Farm a whole bunch of emeralds and then over here we’ve got some Librarians where we can get books like mending I’m breaking free and a few other useful items

But now I think it’s time we head over to the community storage area and check that out as well as the scare 4. so taking a moment to look at the exterior of the community storage building I am pretty confident that short Zelda put this design together but I could be

Wrong if I’m giving the wrong person credit definitely let me know in the comment and that design was also replicated over to the villager trading Hall and this new building that isn’t being used it’s a really cool design I like the bridge that goes under the buildings that is a really cool element

But if we head into the building itself we can take a tour of the inside so coming inside to the first floor is where we have a whole bunch of storage set up for various items that we’ve been collecting in the game that is for Community use but that doesn’t mean you

Can just come in and take whatever you want it is kind of expected to replace what you use over time if not with the same amount or even more there are some additional floors but they’re not quite being fully used but if we head down these stairs this is

Where the scare floor is at as we come down the stairs there’s this really nice hallway where they’ve used Sun metal from Architects pilot to create these little bars with lighting behind them it’s a pretty neat effect especially with shaders turned on if we come into here there’s a few manual

Farms there’s a drip Stone farm and in the back wall there is a lava Farm they’ve got some smelting set up so here’s a roll Temple smelter setup here’s a massive vanilla style super smelter and we can just take a peek at all the Redstone so this is way beyond

My understanding I don’t really do vanilla Redstone it is something I plan to learn in the near future though all I know is if I want to smelt quite a few things in bulk I just put it in there and then I think it auto drops

Out from the floor yeah they’ve got a mechanism that shoots it up right here so if you put your items you better wait on it or you’ll lose them on the other side of the hallway is where we have the scare floor this is a really cool room designed around the

Vault system so there’s a community storage here of Vault items as well as a couple Community Vault portals on each end of the room wait I thought there was two I guess there’s only one right now and everyone has their individual Vault areas that they’ve been decorating and

How their personal portals so if they want to open a vault and run them solo they can some have expanded their areas and created these little additional rooms which is a pretty cool element I really like this sun metal block it’s pretty neat looking I know Misty decorated using bamboo

Which is pretty cool I haven’t seen bamboo used like this I also thought this four was cool I don’t know exactly how this is stacked for it to give it this layered texture we’ll have to look into that later but I think it creates a really cool effect

And on the opposite end Rogue has decorated his with like a armor stand room which is pretty cool and hopefully these people don’t mind me showing off their stuff but it’s pretty cool definitely go and check out their content most of them stream on Twitch a couple of them also have YouTube Pages

Like myself but that’s pretty much it for the scare floor how about we head outside and take a little deeper look at the Vault stuff as I was heading outside I realized wait I did not show you guys my area so this is my own personal Vault and yes I have

It decorated yet it’s it’s really ugly I have a personal fault portal I have a strip Walnut crate with a vault gear in it this is my current Vault gear that I’m using we just recently discovered that you can change the color of the enchantment or even remove it I have

Mine all really bright orange I think it’s hilarious I guess I could put it out and show you guys real quick and grab our vault Shield I don’t have matching sets yet because I haven’t been playing long enough but we will get there we will get there we’ll be the

Vault and server Master before it’s over yes yes we will but if we take a quick look at this oh my goodness this is just crazy it’s just super broad orange I thought it was hilarious and I’ve been freaking people out with it let’s go ahead and put our vault gear up

We’ll take that off real quick throw it back in our crate for now and we need to work on getting a new Helm and a sword because we have almost busted those we could probably get through one more Vault but they’re close to breaking we have some additional items that we’ve

Started collecting so when we first started playing we were dumping everything into the community Vault Storage now that we’ve learned a little bit more about items and what we want to do we’ve started collecting some of those things and that’s what we have here because I don’t want to burn

Through all of the Community Resources crafting the items that I need for personal use we will continue to add to the community storage as we see some things getting kind of low on inventory and as we may use some of it but for now we’ve been

Kind of building up our own Supply and I guess since we’re still down here we can just take a look at the Vault system from here so if we open what I call the Vault menu you can see there’s a few tabs here with different information under them and there’s some sub tabs

Occasionally and I did go ahead and put our vault armor back on and grabbed our vault sword because I wanted you to see our stats with our vault gear on because it is effective so if we take a look at one of the pieces of our vault gear you

Can see that this one does three percent grit it resist it also adds plus eight Mana plus two armor plus two health and plus five item quantity and each one has different effects that are added and these affect our staff so you can see we have

28 damage currently we have 23 heart our defense is at four percent we have 107 men and there’s a bunch of sub stats just like any RPG they’re also affected we won’t dab too deep for that if you have any specific questions at any point

About any of this let me know in the comments this is going to be very high level because one we don’t have time to dive through this we’d spend the entire episode and two I’m not super familiar with it myself yet just what I’ve learned about it so if we look at these

Additional sub tabs you can see that this one has some information about the vaults we’ve completed so we’ve ran a total of 28 volt and of those 28 we’ve completed eight and to get a completion you have to finish the Vault objective if you do loot it and you successfully exit before

The time runs out but don’t complete the objective it counts as a survive and a failure is when you or someone your party with dies and when you die in a vault it throws you out of the Vault and you failed and you lose anything that you’ve looted you do maintain your

Inventory though as it was going into the vault in vaults I’ve collected 58 000 experience I’ve built 29 000 damage I’ve taken a little over 1700 and I have killed 111 mob we’ve also looted 546 chests so we’ve had some pretty good success and the last sub tab is just a vault history

It displays your last 50 volt and you can also favorite some so they don’t disappear and now that I’ve just noticed that we let’s go through and favorite a couple of these that I know were really good like this one right here let’s mark that as a favorite this one was decent

And then we had one where we got like over 8 000 XP I would like to mark that one as a favorite oh there’s one with 7100 where’s the one with eight thousand plus XP that’s big that’s my best run there it is right there let’s mark that

As a favorite so we have a couple marked as a favorite and so now if we go over here it shows those let’s go ahead and close that and move to the next tab which is the abilities tab so as you complete vaults and level up you get

Skill point and those are used on abilities and talent and I’m not sure what this does so you definitely use them on abilities and talent so abilities gives your player additional well abilities so there is vein Miner for example which allows you to mine multiple blocks at once

Currently the only one that I’m using is heel and I have two skill points of my total nine in Solo heal so the current cooldown is at 9.5 seconds it costs 12 Mana to use and it heals me for three I will probably bump this up another two

Levels I’m hoping I can get it to heal five heart with a little bit lower of a cooldown and I’ll probably stop there and start putting skill points and other things if you have questions about any of these others just drop a comment as we add

More we’ll take a look at them but for now that steel is the only ability I’m using the next one I was looking at was possibly either tank which looks pretty interesting or Dash which a lot of people on the server use in conjunction with Electro wing and of course veinmeyer those are

Probably the top three and if we move over to the talents path you can see there’s various talents that you can add to your player so for me I’m using speed level one and I’m using haste level one and strength level one I believe all these costs the first one I

Think cost one the second one costs two and the third one costs three so I have all three of those at level one and I do hope to level these all the way up or at least the level two it gets kind of expensive I mean you could just do the

Next one I need six skill points I don’t currently have any let’s move over to the next tab there’s these Arch tops I have not really looked into this once we know more about it we will highlight this but if we move to the last tab this is the most important tab

For a modded Minecraft player like myself this is where you unlock mods and be used and currently the only one we’ve unlocked is waystone so we can navigate around the world I need to do a little bit more research and really good path for unlocked and

Mods in a specific order so if you guys have any suggestions if you played a lot of Vault Hunters definitely let me know in the comments but initially I’m thinking one from the power section which will probably be power it’ll only cost me five to unlock it

But if you see it adds this plus six so if I wanted to do another one it would be what it costs plus six because I also want to unlock bucks networks we have a way to move power around so that right there alone is five plus another eight

Knowledge point and as much as we’ve played we’ve only crafted one knowledge star to unlock way stones and I’ll show you what that is in just a moment moving into the big mods I really would like probably mechanism if I had to pick from these we’re doing

A lot of create content on our stone blocks world so we probably won’t get in to create and some other people on the server have it so we’re probably going to look at mechanism for our or processing and machines and Farms potentially thermal expansion down the road but just to unlock that an

Additional one in big mods it’s gonna cost four plus 12 so 16 total that’s a lot of knowledge to use looking over at storage I’m probably gonna jump right into applied energistics which are going to cost us six knowledge and that kind of gives you an idea where

We’re going so we have some form of storage we’ll have a big mod for doing processing and then we’ll have a power mod that’s kind of the key mods I want to unlock other than quality of life mods I would definitely love to have torches trash cans elevators

Vault Compass would be cool actually I don’t know how useful it would be once you get kind of used to navigating the vault uh oh and I would also love to have mining gadgets and building gadgets but I’m not going to get both of those because it’s plus 12. I’ll probably

Unlock building gadgets I think it will be more useful than mining gadgets so we can set up arms and other unique ways of getting a bunch of resources where mining gadgets really only benefits you kind of early mid game when you’re doing a lot of manual mining

But we’re probably going to go with building gadgets which will help us with our Mega build and speaking of our Mega build we are going to skip our starter build this series and jump straight into a mega build that’s the bit of an ambitious goal but I’ve been working in a creative

Single player world own a build project for this series but before we get too deep into that how about we take a look at a couple of really awesome Vault runs that we’ve been running on streams okay 14 it is because it’s in my hand boom [Laughter]

I’m on it I’m on it I’m coming I’m just very excited Bounty check let me check I think I just need a crap ton of skeletons complete fault complete any kind of Vault well now we’re cursed it’s RS scaffold we’ve been missing you having a lot of fun

So Misty how many items do you have since you need a completion five oh cool you want to list those off and uh so we know which word looking for yeah spider Soul charm okay uh zombie brain mob essence green bangle and an empty jar that actually sounds pretty plausible

Empty jar probably the toughest yeah especially since we don’t have modifiers I’ve got two empty jars on my thing I’m just gonna start running around which way is everybody going left out of the main room I went straight out of the main room does anybody else have an easy completion

I’ve got two empty jars three blood bottles and then seven purple mob so I’ve only got three things but a lot of them yeah I have eight purple mob essence I don’t even find the dang construction room for real right that’s just the easiest way chess are you talking about like the high-tech

Looking building with uh like mobs just spawning in it as soon as you walk in yeah yep for all that mob essence uh I was hoping to find out wants it yeah if I get it oh I wouldn’t normally hang out there I’m just saying like for the sake of of

Your objective that would be the easiest way of giving that hey yo where’d you come from where did you come from Um yes well it’s it’s some that but it’s also skilled based off the people in the wall foreign each Man I’m not saying any chest all right okay I just found a dungeon with it so hopefully I’ve got jars coming for you I just I just need the jars in the brain s this is the coolest because I got a pottery Shard anybody need a Pottery Shop

That that’s how yeah no aggro well like died but because you were in combat it included it in the synopsis because you were in combat I was gonna say I wasn’t even close to dying I had a trap chest go off above me and a creeper fell on top of me

Um and then a fighter it was chaos it was easy win yeah easy dubbed yeah who said that what did I say everybody shoot fro oh hey what did I do I was playing upstairs you were the one dying I think I think throws chat is right you were distracting

Guys shut up guys it was at this moment oh I was like mute sorry I’m reading chat and Laughs and he skips and you don’t think it was my fault do you I mean I died so that’s on me my shield broke oh no oh do you have a spare I’ve got plenty Misty I don’t use them if you want one oh they’re down here

There’s three level 14s in the bottom right of that I have one that goes healing Cloud one hit if foreign so after that last vault I uh so monolith I’m gonna go right and then loop around the back side okay oh about forget to set my point

So after that last run that we’ve done and completed and I got another 7 000 plus points I hit Level Nine and I unlock Ace level one so I now have speed haste and what’s the other one speed haste and strength all level one nice and I’ve got two or three points

Into heal a lot of definitely a chunkier investment now oh found one nice oh that knockback I will definitely be making use of that with a sword oh yeah I love knockback I didn’t put it on any of my previous weapons but now I kinda

See the use on it yeah it’s oh no not a Boom Boom Room you can see I don’t know if you’re on there but uh so tempting if we can often hear that anything’s spawning nope they’re already spawning it’s just so tempting because there’s always build at chess

Oh make a visit if you don’t want to uh I’ll stop and hit a few chests but I am getting out of here it really isn’t that it’s me chess as they usually are thank you About what I lose it’s also kind of like 10 things to just hit everything yep I was being quick but now I’m kind of like I’m being like super careful because I’m low Health back up and kill mobs and break the spawner which I want these stupid oars I just want the oars

You have a friend to run them with which is a good thing because with the way this mod pack is scaled like an RPG we’re gonna have to run a ton but they’re so much fun and they scale up as you continue to level so we will continue to include Vault content that

Is critical on moving us forward meaning collecting artifacts for the final Vault run I don’t know how long that’s gonna take probably plot some time but we are going to need to run a lot of vaults because as we progress you will see that a lot of items require Vault materials

You can only get by running vault if you have any questions about the vaults we ran or any suggestions definitely leave a comment what we’re going to work on now is collecting resources for our Mega build project we’re going to do this in pieces over the series so the first thing we’re

Going to do is collect some wood from our community create wood Farm I do have an empty shulker here we’re going to set this down and work on filling it up with wood and it should have every wood top here what we’re looking for is mostly spruce

So here’s a bunch of spruce right here we’re gonna go ahead and grab enough for close to a shulker’s worth there is a ton of this so I’m not worried about collecting a whole bunch of this I don’t know how much we’ll need let’s go ahead and just collect the full Soaker work

Because I mean look there’s 128 564 plus another 55 so there’s definitely 20. we’ll put these others back and I believe we have another one that’s kind of got random stuff in it you’re gonna need some dark oak as well I believe this is dark oak yes it is so

We’re gonna grab some of that add them to the pile we’re gonna need as much of this so that should be plenty that will give us a few empty spots but we’re gonna grab those and if we take a moment and look at our inventory you can see we have already

Gotten two choker fulls of Cobble deep slate and most of this I have mined myself I did not take that from the Community Resources the Blackstone a complete choker full of Blackstone I mined all that myself and we have some random stuff but we do have one empty shulker and I think to

Complete phase one of our Mega build we’re gonna need some more Call of Duty slate so let’s head down to the mines and collect some more Foreign So now that we have plenty of resources gathered up and our tools repaired we should have everything we need to get started on our build and this is the location that we decided to build in it’s kind of funny because if we look at the map I explored quite a bit I went

Way down there I went way up here and it doesn’t show it but I actually went way down here as well and we decided to build right here which is really close to spawn and if we zoom in I really kind of plan to keep my building farms in this general area

Right here I don’t know if we’ll use up this whole area but this is kind of where I’m planning to build at and our first structure and the only thing I really have planned at the moment is going to go at the top of the Little Mountain that roam

There is a new player he liked this area as well he was thinking about building here I said that would probably be far enough away he also considered building up here I said I wouldn’t build any further north than this biome right here so this line right here and I won’t

Build any further south than than right here but I doubt I’ll go out this far we’ll just have to see there’s just some really cool terrain for this Bay and this black stone Shoreline and then we have a really nice area for Farms right here we’ll just

Have to see we’ll have to see how far we get but definitely let me know in the comments what you guys think of the area I really like these purple trees I think they’re really cool and they’ll contrast well with our darker block palette at least I think so I could be completely

Wrong over here I set up a very temporary what Ninja temporary Hut there’s a little gate kind of protect our items this is where we got all our chauffers with all of our building materials and we can pull them out set them down and get things out of them as we need them

We got a crafting table a stone cutter and a Way Stone so if we need to go back and forth from the community storage we’re able to other than that there’s really nothing else left to do but for the first time this series let’s go into the profess build mode [Applause] Thank you [Applause] Thank you Thank you Foreign Foreign [Applause] Thank you [Applause] Thank you well after a couple of hours of Designing and another couple of hours of gathering blocks and around seven hours of building we have completed phase one of our megabase yes only phase one this is probably only 20 25 of the total height and if you

Haven’t figured it out by now we are building a tower this thing’s gonna be huge it’s gonna go way up here someone’s already came by got a little bit of a sneak peek before the episode released and they mentioned that it was a little bit dark and could use some color well

Some of that wasn’t intentional this is only the foundation so I wanted it to fill and look sturdy with that said I will like with all my builds continue to tweak and change and add things to this for example in the creative world I didn’t have this extra row right here I

Added that so we could have these Blackstone bits above and below the spruce area I also turned some of the sprue sideways here and I don’t know if I like that definitely let me know in the comments what you guys think about everything if you have any suggestions for this build

Any additional blocks that you would add definitely let me know I’m already considered replacing all the spruce and making it a checkered pattern instead of just straight up and down for this area and this hair the ends will stay alone I really like the end so let’s pop down

Just so you can see those we’ll try not to take too much ball damage but the ends I put a lot of effort into designing these and I think they look great it’s hard to see from the ground but at least from the ground you can

Just see the scale of the structure it is going to be very big wow and we’re sitting on a hill about 100 blocks up from zero so it is going to be very impressive if you’re flying into the area on the inside we’ve done a Basalt textured floor and the interior is far

From being done and we still got our skeleton of scaffolding down but I’ve used this Basalt design before and I really like it but everything else is a new design I I designed all this from scratch in the creative world it took me several hours and we this is the only

Part we’ve done and when I started building this on the survival side using scaffolding with no flight I almost gave up on completing the whole structure and just doing one side for the first episode but I stuck to it and we knocked it all out so going into the next
