Hi guys next here welcome to the actual 15th episode of my spellbound caves to developer commentary uh today’s episode we are going to check out ravenheart labyrinth which oh boy uh we’re about to get a difficulty spike if my memory serves and this is going to be last video i put out Was a not episode episode where i talked about the 1085 and 1086 updates to the modpack which added fishes undead rising and uh there might be um i just want to make sure i wasn’t on peaceful because last time i hopped in creative mode to show off a few things about the update Uh someone would be back toward you back at being a normal player um but yeah okay does the air here feel strange to you you get wafts of cold air hot air and even sulfur so hint magic is crazy here truly you approach a place of dark sauce where you gone mad um I was trying to figure out like so what is this like what is sorcery right because it’s an element right so uh yeah uh sulcery is one of the uh there’s seven elements right right right one two three four five six seven yeah that’s correct there’s seven elements uh fire ice lightning necromancy Earth sorcery and healing so basically there’s fire ice electric dark grass force and like there’s dark and light um but i was thinking what does a and you’ll have to pardon me because i have for whatever reason i just have a hard a harder time saying the word Sorcery sorcery sorcery there’s an r in it uh i have a tendency to say salsary like sauce um if vex made a sauce would it be called a vsauce stupid uh oh that’s slate tile dreadstone tile um sorcery your sorceress ways lord vader yeah i have a tendency if i’m not paying Attention to say sorcery as in like a saucer uh but you’ll have to just excuse me i it’s just awkward for me to say for whatever reason i’m not sure why um at the very least though i can say purple burglar alarm just fine so that’s cool apparently uh Uh the meme is that uh scottish people cannot say purple burglar alarm and uh uh german people have trouble saying the word squirrel for whatever reason squirrel oh that’s a fancy skeleton oh that was a ver oh my gosh that was a very fancy skeleton why was he so fancy Why were you so fancy mr skeleton looks like some of my quests got reset well it’s whatever i have more loot than i’ll ever need okay i i do i am very curious about uh i have some advanced i have tier four loot crates oh i gotta open these these are We got a random advanced warrior uncommon oh well i’m kind of good on armor oh hello well that’s i can make a uh i can make a dread queen blade now i think i’ve got a wither bone handle maybe maybe i’m actually not sure oh it got dark Probably want to use dark vision in here since i can’t see that far anyway but i might switch back and forth um do i have lantern on me no i don’t do i have uh how do i make one stick glass paint oh i’m not i don’t Have glass panes on me hey dude oh three hits really yeah i am using a mage weapon with mage gear ah did it hit me oh it hit me the stupid thing walked on it you dum-dum yeah there’s traps in here so this is a labyrinth um Yeah i really i really like the way uh the block palettes in here turned out the mixture of the slate tile with the dreadstone tile uh i am a fan oh wait i should go back to that room and uh look at the stuff that i got i i didn’t actually Finish looking at it like a dum-dum uh i can spawn a frost maul just in case i want that boss fight there’s a multiple oh there’s a wither bone handle right there jeez okay and there’s a fire dragon heart that’s some really rare gear i got uh and a block of diamond wow That’s a fantastic loot chest we get we got a ring of grand vitality oh yeah i think i already had one of these um i’m geared for uh i’m geared for offense i think right now and i don’t really want to slow down my clear speed by stacking more hp It’ll put all my really sweet loot in this chest in this backpack here a block of copper and ooh what’s that a pendant of eternity it’ll recast the chosen buff spell forever if you have a wand on your hot bar with a spell bound to it No bound spell bind a spell at the arcane work oh the process consumes the book though oh that’s really cool i could see well there’s another way to get permanent uh oh hey hey wait a minute uh Magelite can i just get permanent mage light with this i do have the met the the regen necklace for my armor though oh i kind of want to go do this i want to go i want to go play with this thing and also re-roll it to be like way better um i Permanent mage light would be really handy it would be very okay okay we can we can come back here very quickly all right um i don’t think i’m gonna use the ring of ground vitality anytime soon i don’t i don’t know if i actually want all of this diamond gear tbh This run out of fuel it did if i remember correctly i have like a ridiculous amount of coal alrighty um do i want to make a why don’t i just why don’t i just put this stuff in here and then craft it like from inside there using it that seems like a smarter Way to go about things uh but let’s see heart of a giganite and then i need to craft one of these so that’s 15 damage and this is 12 and this is 1.6 and this is yeah this is actually a pretty great weapon uh it also looks awesome I don’t know if you guys have seen one of these but uh it’s a big heck it’s a big chunker of a sword it’s a heck and chunker that said i am i just wanted to make it to look at it and be like yes this is cool I am a magic build because this is spellbound caves too so obviously i gotta be magic let’s see um how are we doing as far as the astr i don’t actually have that as much as i thought all right that needs to be rerolled into Well no the first thing i want to do is put something cool on it uh let’s see it’s going to consume the book how many mage light books do i have two okay so i put this on the thing and then it looks like i slot it doesn’t can i upgrade this thing What is what’s ah it will recast a chosen buff spell forever if you have a wand on your hot bar with a spell bound to it bind it to a spell at the arcane workbench the process consumes the book all right let’s try putting this thing on so it’s got magelite And i’ve got bat is mit is magenlight is mage light not a buff spell oh lame or am i not using it right do i have to cast it first it’ll recast this buff spell forever you have a wand on your hot bar with the spell bound to it That’s a wand on my hot bar with mage light bound to it okay bind a spell to it and the arcane workbench it’s common quality so the question is oh you know what i could have done if it just wants one that has mage light bound to it This one mostly just kind of sits here i guess we’ll see if this runs out or not and do i want to um do i want to reroll this where’s my rerolling bobber it’s over here all right let’s see well before i Before i reroll this i want to see how it works like is mage light a thing i can do five four three two one and it’s out oh nope okay so it looks like i need to cast it once first to start the process i wonder if that gets exp for the wand Well that’s really cool uh and yes i do want to reroll this thing this is going to be expensive oh never mind not that expensive i feel like i just used up a bunch of my luck though but all right well this is amazing so it’s got magelite bound to it it’s Legendary pendant of eternity and i got permanent mage light um without without taking up my charm slot hahaha and i’m gonna keep this on me because i might need to equip it sometimes to heal up my armor all right let’s get out of um let’s bank the xp that i do have And head back to the mission but this time with permanently recasting magelite i guess it’s not that amazing it is just a insane quality of life thing that i don’t have to mess with this anymore so now i always have light um which is kind of great Question do i want to light up the labyrinth or leave it leave it dark if i leave it dark it will divert spawns from like the future area oh i heard a weird noise of course the chest was trapped do these have nbt data on them no I actually want the 32 slot one um yes excellent uh these um these here are actually treasure chests that you can you can loot um well they have the same functionality um i believe these have the dungeon um they have the pretty good dungeon loot table there we go stop stop it uh I do want this though and that because i might use these for uh crafting uh where you do the thing or you combine you combine the uh the baubles make like a super version a wand range upgrade heck yeah a another magic mirror well if this is Multiplayer i would grab that but as this single player i already have one and i might as well take it with me just in case i’m getting choosier about what loot i even bother picking up now somebody’s got vengeance ah damn vengeance sucks oh that’s cute I think i need to zap you i think i could just whack you to death i mean i could whack anything to death with enough patience i suppose that’s a scary noise what is that oh it’s a salamander hello you so you’re a new enemy from that was a new enemy from undead Rising so we’re actually gonna miss out on let me think uh the only enemy from dungeon mobs that i actually miss is the outer thing you know the big green floaty thing that looks like an uh cthulhu monster that always says the uh that guy oh I’m pretty close to one of those um elemental pillars don’t know screw your flat percent damage dealt oh it’s an erect me hello goodbye i haven’t seen interact me in a while oh i still have the region right yeah i suppose the appendage of eternity is another way you could get permanent Regen being always recast on you as well i think i just went around and went back to the entrance i think i did i think this is a void creeper spawn room where are my torches at i don’t have any i don’t have any torches did i not bring a single light source With me i’ve got co i’ve got sea lanterns we’ve we’ve evolved beyond torches guys we use we use sea lanterns to light stuff up i kind of want to farm you guys i think uh did i ever beat any of the west’s uh let’s see hold on a sec adventure awaits repeatable hunting Magic hunting ah my bottleneck is gonna be witches they already all break sadness very sad oh yeah that’s a sick sense so these different shapes for passive and neutral mobs uh neat i want the spawner do i want to break the spawners do i want to go after the uh i look mimik I want to break the spawners or do i want to just annihilate these things from range chain lighting good question also you’re a butt load of skeleton somewhere it’s safer to just kill them from over here uh with ranged attacks but i could grapple over there and Get down to business of whacking the whacking the spawners and then i would get a bunch of red tokens which would get me some more astral diamonds what do i need astral diamonds for uh i’ve got 27 of them i could go for um do you think i want the astral market That i i mean i can i have enough for everything i would want to buy let’s hop over here and i think we’ll put some light down in the corner oh hello that’s an evoker let’s just go for killing them and i’ll zap them down as fast as i can i think I’ve got the mana to just spam this for at least a minute right and the more i kill the more i kill the faster they should spawn i think i just splatted another revoker like completely unintentionally i like how i think it’s actually they’re spawning up there and when i hit them It’s chaining to the upper levels of the ledge and hitting stuff that’s up there close to the ledge which is hilarious that these guys are getting getting the evokers killed we oh looks like i might need to grab uh stash some stuff real quick can i stop dpsing for a second For stuff in here the answer is yes you guys see why i like chain lightning and its big brother so much like isn’t this just amazing this is some of the most satisfying stuff like it’s just a chaining like death ray to blast enemies with Oh i could have i could have used that hop to actually get up the ledge i think i mean i could just grapple up there if i wanted to are they all dead they did holy crap well then this would definitely be on the speed runners list of something to probably Grab to make sure that you don’t die because i’m pretty sure one of the caveats for speedrunning is not dying unless it’s an intentional death for fast travel right that’s i could see that being a thing you would do i don’t think i’ll die i’m pretty Uh i have a i have quite a bit of firepower to deal with enemies um and i’m not like i’m not super tanky but i’m tanky i can take like a few hits from most enemies um oh there’s the there’s a behind her now that’s a that is a good question When the behinder does the uh there’s a few of these guys left and they’re not like not cooperating as much as i would prefer them to i think it’s time to go up and oh i got a gold token i’m gonna go up um actually wait a minute some more of These guys have built up enough to warrant another blast all right so i want to go up i think i want to go up there and immediately basically switch to my thing and blast anyone who’s up here holy crap it might be that the uh gold The gold tokens are they might be too good the or the loot might be slightly too generous we’ll see let’s see right here is some pretty cool master spells um one of them was pocket dimension the others i haven’t even identified i don’t have as much experience like i don’t have the Um i have the most experience the lightning tree of spells and what all they do um i have less experience with the i’m suddenly wishing i was immune to knock back less experience with sorcery um i was pretty reliant on the hello goodbye i was pretty reliant on my mod team and The community of veteran players to basically help me go through the library of like these what hundreds of spills and like figure out the most important thing for me as a pack developer was um uh making sure none of the spells broke the game either on single player or on Multiplayer servers that was a big consideration is making sure um some of this uh basically all the spells that are disabled were they’re either uh they ruin multiplayer servers for one reason or another um or uh or they’re they break the game or they’re not compatible or they’re overpowered in some way Oh that guy’s got vengeance ow ooh i’m in trouble oh they’ve yeah let’s dip out and heal up for a second back over here uh because i think one of the guys has uh or maybe mult you know multiple of them might have vengeance and my chaining attack could be uh pretty bad If they multiple of them have vengeance am i blind yeah i’m blind okay nothing nothing else followed uh there’s the new um there’s the new out of combat region if you stay out of combat for long enough you’ll get some really powerful basically it like quickly drains your Food to also quickly refill your hp uh so there’s less standing around just waiting on because like there’s not that much of interest to like tunnel into the wall and cry box and then wait for your hp to slowly slowly refill so i was like yeah yeah if you’re um I think it’s 20 seconds i think if you you’re out of combat for 20 seconds it’ll kick in and just uh uh rapidly drain your food to rapidly it’s like a you’re not like losing out on anything it’s just uh it just makes everything happen fast Because if you if you relied on the vanilla health regeneration from food to refill seven bars worth of hp uh that would be um that would be fairly tedious and not not so fun i think Hello ow no you’re not as strong as you maybe i should turn his damage up i mean i am kind of chungus yeah his bulwark doesn’t completely protect him from my chain lighting but it does seem to like he seems to have maybe some sort of magical he seems to be Take a little bit longer to die than i would have uh expected basically i don’t really want these stupid blocks ass thank you oh did it see me no he didn’t see me that is a new enemy from undead rising and the that is a banshee Um i made the undead rising enemies hit pretty hard and they’re always infernal and uh they’re pretty buff they’re basically they’re not too common or they shouldn’t be they should be uncommon enemies but when you see them they you should probably think of them like mini bosses basically Anyway let’s light this banshee up and see how he goes oh you’ve got vengeance out yeah see uh she got close enough to scream at me and that hit me for uh i was at what seven bars and now i went down to four so um yeah the banshee and the avatar Brave digger the sludge lord all right we’re gonna light i think i’m gonna light up this treasure room and we’re going to use this as like a mostly safe fallback point oh hey there’s an ender dragon girl where did you come from like actually where did you come from where did you go Oh i guess they are social aggro huh and so i’m aggroing them from like wherever they’ve spawned i’m a growing them from like miles away basically uh let’s see let’s take that because i’ll probably need to refill my stuff uh take the iron the grand crystal Um and the tokens please and the astral diamond shards and let’s take the new stuff from undead rising so we can play around with that later fantastic what is that that is a that’s a mycosis and a vengeance that is a that was a chungus behender and that is a hostile wizard And this is a artillery that works pretty well ah nope i thought we were chill i thought we were chill come on oh you hit it pretty hard too right yeah yeah i buffed up the uh especially the tier three the tier three grammar of gaia um enemies i They’ve been doing some push-ups they they’ve not skipped they’ve stopped skipping leg day they had been skipping leg day for a while and they were uh their threat level was not exactly what i was looking for let’s try going this way ambush die um sounds like another troll somewhere what a jump scare Well as long as you don’t have vengeance to return my lightning damage back to me uh i think we’re good but good job on the jump scare boo that was i was that was a plus jump scare well that would be great if i was a Ranger i am not i am a mage let’s see Uh that is the this is the end that’s void very scare the salsa void no that’s lava i’m not as that is scared of well i mean if i fall in the void i’m gonna have to like quickly pull out the mirror and just teleport home so it’s not It’s not as threatening as it used to be in old maps right where like in the old maps it was just unless you ender pearled perfectly and immediately you were kind of stuffed hmm i think a lot of these behinders are actually coming out of uh um they’re actually coming out of advanced One like advanced spawners so they’re um they’re hand placed uh one shots basically yeah i’m not sure but they i think they have resistance to uh i think they have resistance magic like they take a little longer to kill than some of my these other enemies that i just blast through They could just have more hp i think they’ve got about 160 or so that was a death word spawner all right how we doing on food resources and in your book inflicts blindness there are butler to death words in this room yes ow this one have uh let’s hop back down over here Oh i don’t want to grapple ow emergency retreat hi skeleton pardon me i’m running back to the uh the room with the the jump where the guy jump scared me originally i wonder what happens if i put that right at the entrance that buy me some safety yes actually it seems to I’m going to try the oh i’m going to try the blizzard just like right on top of that spawner i bet that would be pretty cool can i walk through my own blizzard uh not exactly sort of oh you little butt head that’s a big salamander look at him hey dude oh boy Attacking me That’s our ammo pretty bad now question uh do i have any potions on me i don’t think i do which is really unfortunate hmm now let’s see no potions huh uh let’s switch that out and yeah it’s regenerating pretty good all right food they’re done there’s a salamander app Was a salamander over here he is no more they’re still falling down from up above um okay let’s go back up here i think i cleared out uh i wonder if the spawner broke or not that’s a great question little sneak i think i’m spawning the death words damn it Trying to snipe him through the uh what the sh spider having a bad day ah good thing you’re squishy uh what do you hit me with arcane jammer okay we’ll just take a break for a second whatever that is we’re off i am arcane jammed my um armor is also Uh not doing so hot ah the damn vengeance i have to put i can’t just i can’t just mindlessly hold down right click all the time i have to put some thought into what i’m doing even if that’s just to pace myself and or a stressed out spider All right let’s try putting down a blizzard on the that seemed to work pretty well actually the only pro oh god the vengeance okay maybe i don’t want to do that okay so i had the blizzard down and then a bunch of guys responded that have vengeance on them and That was going poorly for me question is the is it will his damage hurt me like if he if does the vengeance damage i can’t tell i think the Maybe oh we are sadly out of man on that wand i probably should have rushed i probably should have just rushed the spawner and killed it die damn it oh got it um well that was horrifying ah do you like to well at least he stepped on the trap screw your vengeance And how many are left in there i i’ve got to be getting towards the end of this spawner i’ve killed like 88 bajillion of you guys or at least that’s how it feels oh mike oh my god it’s not done at all death words with ender that’s Hey go in there go go in the go in the yes go yes go in the blizzard to die you stupid thing where did you come from i almost would want to say that you’re a natural small but no oh wait yes yeah ah i’m blind oh Good thing i had a little bit of ammo left on this wand okay okay i could take you on you’re fine you just just whack you get whacked all right i don’t know how much is left on that but however much is oh it’s dead okay I was about to just grapple in there and and go ahead and break it and just tank tank the damage with my face oh all right that was basically the boss of this dungeon effectively speaking and i really wink blue will get i would really like a uh a weight waste stone So we’re not going to teleport out i don’t have the energy to go through all these damn pots also i think since we’re low on mana we’re gonna switch back to uh old faithful here come on all right if you’re just gonna sit there that’s a that’s not a spawner okay I thought it was going to be a it was looking like it was going to be a spawner oh damn gonna wrap me right around the corner and i don’t have my ring of free action so she can web me i need to be mindful that there is void right there Just because i’m up on the second floor doesn’t mean the the void got deleted you know what i mean wait that’s two behind the hinders is there one behind me no all right if you’re going to levitate me like this i am going to zap you though those are behind your spawners That is horrible everything about that is horrible you know what this one’s full why don’t we completely misplace the blizzard all right let’s see here um so i kind of just want to break those spawners real fast so what are we looking at here one back here i don’t think it is All right let’s grapple to there there there and back around the corner to there okay hi oh god they’re pissed how about that [Laughter] suck it yeah uh oh i feel like there’s another spawner left in there maybe because i i thought i got them all but maybe not In any case if i move away from the area and get out of the spawners range we should be ah oh guys am i naughty nauseated and blind that is fantastic you win the prize for most annoying enemies so far in this dungeon nauseated and blind can you please not god uh All right let’s see let’s top off the water all right i’m good to go Stash my filthy looker in a chest in a backpack i mean uh well you’re creepy you’re also very squishy but they’re ah a little shh you little where’d you go oh there’s more there it is oh god grapple yeah grapple yep grapple hip grapple yeah Oh i outran the uh stuff oh god they’re chasing ow oh you’re oh you’re a chungus boy but i have a badass warhammer and you can you can die without ah nausea teleported that was a fun box absolute fun box that was a hinder fun box that was terrible absolutely terrible Oh it’s these guys right and i never finished off the upper area of the doohickey major here uh i would like to um no it’s too takes too long uh let’s see they’re gonna follow me right that’s so many of them ah crap well no i knock oh hello I never thought i would share a cramped space with the cecilia i don’t think i can get up on top because that’s what uh fitted flush with the ceiling i guess they’re just going to kill them yeah fishing mailed we’ll get them next time cause i can’t yeah i can’t there’s Nowhere for me to anchor i would need the spell that summons a block oh the spell that summons a block that that’s a good companion for grapple i never thought of that until just now yeah okay there’s they’re dead cool um Good stuff good stuff all right so that’s clear uh hey is there a hidden loot back here or anything no not really uh i think i cleared all those uh yeah i think i got everything um let’s go this way got the wool sweat ah you’re a very enthusiastic skeleton Warrior let’s go this way a behinder this one doesn’t have vengeance which is amazing they do seem to bull work themselves maybe that’s why the magic damage falls off a bit maybe bulwark has some effect on it or interaction with it okay yeah i don’t i’m assuming the best role you would get Out of the pots memory serves would be like ah hello i can’t help but notice that there’s there’s petrified bats huh all right are they hey uh diem um i would like to examine the statues what’s that you say these statues are incredibly lifelike okay understood thank you for the uh the hint I even brought one of these just in case not that they’re very expensive to make okay maybe it maybe i put this on prematurely uh ah right yes i’m literally standing on the gorgon’s advanced spawner right here by the trap chest all right let’s do this uh gotta be blind um blindness three And what sure once you get the blindness on you they don’t really do do very much there the fight basically turns into them being just bags of hp oh that’s a gorgon dead uh let’s see what do i get for gorgon dud neat stuff uh and we get the rare quality orb of Specs so if you were using uh if you were using sorcery spells uh these are like best in slot bobbles uh because they do give you plus 45 spell potency um so if you do want to specialize uh they’re kind of incredible hey um that’s fairly Um that would be really good if you specialized in siphoning mana i i think if you siphon enough uh you can just shoot forever i think that’s how it ends up working i’m not mistaken okay uh so optional boss taken out uh incredibly lifelike statues noticed you always want to notice the incredibly Lifelike statues if you ever play dungeons and dragons and your dm is like the statue you examine the statue it looks incredibly lifelike uh they’re basically just saying hey doofus there’s a medusa up ahead or a cockatrice or a gorgon you know ah get off hi guys Goodbye africans hello waystone just give me the just just give me the give me that ow you’re here now oh god oh right salamanders are from undead rising and they’re i don’t stupid cat uh salamanders from undead rising and they are also hecka chunker enemies that are blah another it is hello whack Uh speaking of which how are we doing on the nether hunting we need we need to find some of the suck uh i don’t know if there’s blazing juggernauts in here anyway i’m sick of this this platform over here being full of oh there is a succubus yay Get off the platform this is my platform dammit amazing yay uh we just got molten meat we can make the molten armor out of this stuff which is pretty cool uh was there a is there a waste at the top of this looks like i managed to not aggro the Zombie pigmen which is fantastic hi oh you’re an incubus i thought maybe they could change the display name you know because if you look closely uh succubus can also be male and they’re supposed to be called incubus at that point um all you have to do is is look at the boba Oh i wanna this is so precarious Yeah this one doesn’t have the boba so incubus are you clipped inside of a she aggroed you’re hostile that’s right and you’re a chunker and you’re kind of immune to knockback it seems i’m gonna hit if i hit one of these zombie pigmen i’m just gonna switch to The lightning wand and just light up the whole whole batch of them i’m not even gonna swing man you dead you dead boy oh well that wasn’t as bad as i thought it was gonna go thankfully oh something break oh wait a minute maybe killing the pigmen with my uh lightning wand doesn’t Technically aggro them because it’s not a melee attack This is a much less stressful way of of getting up here i should have just done this from the start um so now i should back up and heal for a second Oh tango groove and i just can’t i’ve just come from raven heart ascent uh uh pixies so pixies will steal your stuff they are little shits and i kinda just wanna leave them and not mess with them uh you can mess with them if you want to but I kind of just want to not mess with them uh yeah we’re just gonna just gonna do that maybe you have to listen for the don’t do it you know what you know what you know what how about how about you guys we’re gonna be chill And i swear to god if i hear their their their they do a little they do a special laughter when they take one of your items um if i see one approaching me i will mow them down like absolutely just mow them down let’s go this way looks slightly less crowded this way Those are spoilings so pixies and spoilings and and there’s the brown dungeon right there and i managed to not get anything stolen And intersection four whew all right that was a workout um that area um we only saw one banshee right we saw one banshee and vengeance behinders and vengeance death words are the well they’re actually you know they’re probably not that bad except that i have lower defense than usual than Like a warrior would um and i’m doing aoe attacks with lower defense so my reflected damage back on me is uh uh reflecting a reflecting area of effect damage back on me is pretty rough for my character that’s a that’s a pretty good counter for my shenanigans Well anyway i’ll probably sort my loot off camera and i will see you guys on episode 16 where we try to where we have a break from stress and go play around in the uh infinite duke works uh but until then uh comments about let’s see ravenheart Uh labyrinth um i really like it uh it’s short range room to room uh fairly vicious combat high intensity uh kind of lets you know what’s coming for the next areas um i think the next areas might be easier for me i don’t know we’ll see um labyrinth what might be eligible for What would you call it a casual filter maybe might be your casual filter i’m not sure uh but that was a noticeable uh that was definitely a noticeable difficulty uh jump uh but raven heart labyrinth is the gateway to the last intersection of the map so it makes sense right Uh well i hope it makes sense anyway uh i’ll see you guys next video until then as always take it easy Video Information
