On the Discord now since we set up an amazing mob farm last episode and we’re getting tons and tons of items that are going to help us in the future I think we should definitely get into the automation aspects of everything definitely diving into the tech part of

This mod pack we’ve done a lot of magic thus far uh including apotheosis last episode was definitely Magic based and the last two have definitely been Magic based but we’re to get into automating with refined storage a bit more diving deeper into all of the automation things and automating Industrial forgoing which

Is going to be very helpful considering that I’ve already ran out of space since last episode like immediately after ending the episode uh we already ran out of space for our experience and it’d be nice to have a infinite container almost to be able to store those things in at

Least I think it would be I was also thinking it would be kind of nice to have this set up in maybe a different building um and I do have the space now because this corner right here I made some stairs that lead up and you know

What that left that left a giant hole that could be filled right here where these trees are at so I’m thinking about building another pillar like this but right here and uh that is going to house our industrial foregoing machines all of these things and our automations that

We’re going to set up so without further Ado let’s get the building process started and voila so this is the area very similar to this one over here uh on the interior and on the outside uh I kind of went with the same style but I did add a

Little Loft up to the top and uh yeah it’s a really nice little area up here um I do plan on adding some more things up top here here but uh the main portion of this is mainly going to be set out in order to move my industrial Fork going

Outside of my rats area and move it into its own dedicated space so that’s where this is going to come into play so I should be able to pick these up all of these machines just like so and move them into a uh a better place definitely a better

Better place here and and all of this definitely needs to be moved including these barrels all of these machines nice well let’s go ahead and try to move our latex processing first so the latex processors the fluid extractors AKA um we need to basically get the wood that

We’re going to send to it and we need to send that into uh or out of the modular router so we already have a modular router and then we need to change our puller upgrade to pull from the top which is where this Barrel is at and put

It in the wall it’s going to be kind of nice that it’s there in the wall and we’re to make sure this sends into the face so now it’s going to pull in logs from up here and it’s going to place them so let’s go ahead and grab any log

AAA log is the best so let’s go ahead and use it so there he goes so now it placed an AAA log and what I want to do is potentially have this going flush I don’t know can the extractor face down uhoh we have a special kind of moon

Going on right now let’s give giving me anti-gravity um let’s see how does this situate I don’t think this actually goes I guess it could face down definitely not facing down though right no so let’s just go ahead and maybe have two for right now two that are facing this way

Facing into this that should be producing latex and then one here so now we have a a do a dual setup here and that should be plenty for our use case um if you were using this more often it’d be a little bit harder but um and

Require a little bit more but this should be nice and clean so this is producing and we want to send that into these two Singularity tanks um and I can access these from the bottom here and we’ll place them down just like so and then we’ll make sure that this is

Sending uh make sure it’s pushing the latex into that machine same on this side make sure the latex is getting pushed down into the singularity tank perfect now how are we going to interact with our refined storage system and be able to access these fluids that we’re

Going to need well let’s let me kind of demonstrate the fluid interaction with it let’s go ahead and connect in some cables first so we’re going to line the cables down here I like to sort of dig a hole to get the cables to route through

And this is going to run all the way to our refined storage system so remember that external storage that we used on the back of our refined storage uh a while ago and uh just to SW and demonstrate well we’re actually going to use this again but it’s going to

Actually work for fluids this time um so we need to just basically get our pipes down here and on the bottom of this we can place external storages on both of these uh that way it interacts together we could have piped them together but I just want to make this nice and clean

Looking so I’m going to use two not that big of a deal but on here we need to specify a few things cuz by default it’s not going to work we have to turn this into fluid mode and then set a priority to one to make sure this is a higher

Priority than any of our other base fluid systems um and that’s going to be pretty common throughout all of our fluid handling we’re going to do it this particular way um so this is going to essentially use this tank as a buffer both of these tanks as a storage method

For these fluids when we get to automating with these fluids well it’s going to pull from these containers and that’s basically how it’s going to work now I want to make this next part as simple as possible to understand and uh I I think this is going to work but

We’re going to get into the dissolution chamber right and this is something that quite tedious to do by hand and is one of the primary reasons why I want to get the get in the automation uh there’s a lot of powerful things that we can make

With industri for going but if we don’t have the appropriate automation set up it will be very very painful to do um so let’s go ahead and uh set this up so I’m going to have a crafter that I’m going to place on top of the dissolution

Chamber uh it doesn’t really matter what side but I am putting this on a a side for a reason um so we’re also going to need a refined storage wrench this is a pretty good tool to just have around because it allows us to turn this and we

Want this face right here to be facing the disillusion chamber and that’s how we’re going to automate a machine uh now this will need cables wrapped around so there’s going to need to be a cable connected to that crafter um but on the back here uh on

The very very back I actually want an importer because I want to be able to take the the products that are crafted and I want to put them in our storage so I’m going to need an importer so the way to think of this is import Imports into

The system so it goes into the system and then the export pulls things out of our system when you think of these for refined storage and applied energistics um you need to think of it from the perspective of the network that’s how I usually tend to tell myself and it makes

It a little bit easier to to understand but uh in the Importer we’re going to put that here and it’s not going to be sending things in uh it’s going to be Mak it’s going to be pulling things out um from the side that we tell it to do

So I just need to Simply get my cables here and there’s not much that I need to do as far as on the Importer side I don’t need to configure anything it should just work it’s not going to be super fast without any upgrades but it

Is going to just work and that’s all we needed to do so the cables are hooked in you can see we have our crafter ready to go and importer now is where we got to configure the face of the machine so on the top we are going to change our input

And make sure this is set to pull so it can accept the input uh and also for the fluid let’s go in I don’t think we have to do this but I do want to make sure that it is set and we make sure have it

Set to pull we don’t want to lock anything and uh we definitely want the output to be the back which is going to be the bottom right and we’re going to have that set to push to push the output out so all in all that should work and

Then we also need power we need to give it some power and uh same for the fluid extractors I’m definitely going to want to get some gates on them as well um so all this is almost all done and it looks very clean right it’s a very clean setup

We have it right here on the log I could have raised it up more and I guess set the dissolution chamber on the log you know what I’m probably going to do that yeah this looks much better so how exactly are we going to get the

Autocrafting to work let me show you as of right now we only have the regular latex that we can work with so we’re going to need to work with processing for this so back in industrial foro the main thing that we want to automate is first this we’re going to want to make

Sure we have Redstone being able to be produced go and toss a few things in here by the way we want to make sure that Redstone can be produced and then we want to be able to make these frames cuz that’s going to be required and then

We’re going to want to try and automate the simple machine frames so if I go ahead and I click move items this will actually automatically put the latex amount inside of the process and switch it to processing for us and so if I make this this should just work it is pretty

Cool that it does just work um now we’re also going to need to potentially set up uh nether brick uh nether brick Automation and we’re going to want to also set up autocrafting for the gears um so I can set up the the autocrafting for the gears and I think I’m going to

End up modifying the recipe for this whenever I do a update here soon that will eventually change the gear to require a nugget but for right now this is the gear recipe and should work as well make sure it’s set to exact and it’s going to give you this as the

Output so here we go we have pretty much everything we need um let’s make sure we have uh let’s see we are going to need brick and we do have a little bit of nether brick so this is just a good example to show but I do want to hook in

My refined storage system or or sorry my Ender o system up to be Auto smelted and we’re going to set that up for this as well in the same way so over here let’s go ahead and see if this will craft so all I got to do is put the main

Processor process inside of the uh crafter and then these just need to go inside of my normal crafter that I have set up up here uh that has a lot of extra storage so at this point we should now be able to craft this let’s get our Ender

Gate we have two of them let’s go ahead and put one here and one here make sure this has power everything should be ready to go well I thought it would have power definitely out of power for whatever reason I think I know exactly why we’re out of power yep I forgot to

Turn this off even though it is still working and still producing quite a bit of material it is still chugging along I’m going to actually go ahead and break the node so we’re not consuming power here anymore more oh goodness I will turn it back on I

Promise I’ll turn you back on once we get some suitable power because what ended up happening is the more things you add to your refined storage Network the more power overall things are going to cost so we’re going to see we are now using 83 Fe per tick to run all of these

Things we have connected here and that’s a pretty important number right um so now that we have this now we have power back perfect uh now we want to go ahead and create and and start a craft so from industrial foro let’s go ahead and craft our machine frame and we can actually

Watch this happen so it’s going to send it in and send the fluid from here by the way so fluid got sent and then as soon as it’s done crafting it’s going to send it to the Importer and then the Importer is going to put it into our

Network and this is amazing so now that we have this all of the processes can be automated in this fashion and we can also automate all of the upgrade components as well and this is where now this is what I would call it has some early game aspects to it but this is

Really like a later game mod for sure mid to late game is industrial foregoing you really need some good resources including diamonds to really get started with this now with all of our prior knowledge that we just went through with automating the other process we should be able to automate now our alloy

Smelter however it’s going to require a couple of other steps because we want to make sure we keep our Sterling generator filled so to do that we just need an exporter that needs to go onto the Sterling generator and I think what I’m going to do here is I’m going to go with

Coal shards uh from goor and so I can actually drag into the exporter and on exporters you have to tell you have to tell it what you want to send and so you get these you get this list here and you can drag from ji which is really nice um

Now importers on the other hand you can block things that go in like we did over here we ended up uh using a advanced version which has more slots and uh we are choosing to block certain items from being imported um but in this case we don’t really need to block

Anything right we need to leave what we have set up and we need a crafter that up here is going to uh send ingredients into the barrel and then those ingredients are going to get either smelted or converted into Alloys um and then on this Barrel we need an importer

So this should be pretty simple and we can go ahead and use the pass through that this allows uh with refined storage right so this block will carry as if it’s a cable itself which is pretty darn cool um and that means over here we don’t need all of this stuff instead we

Can use this to funnel our cables through so I do need to get over here so I’m going to pop down into here and and I should have a cable yes right here and then I can just go ahead and build myself up and we’ll just get a cable hooked

Directly in like so and uh now we can start doing autocrafts with our Alloys melter so now for the fun part let’s go ahead and uh create a recipe for this that does a couple of things uh and how about we go ahead and and have it work

With refined storage right so we should be able to have it automatically craft these prop processors that we’re going to need I think that would be pretty great um so we need to First make the processor binding and then we need to also make this which uh we can use

Quartz to smelt and so we’ll just smelt up some quartz then we need to put everything together to make the final product and uh perfect so once we have this that’s just basically making the crafting recipe I went ahead and move this down here um so we can keep our

Smelts separate and then we finally need to craft the smelt which is going to be a processor um since we already have all of the other stuff set up it should be pretty straightforward now to go ahead and make all of the crafting processes and then we should be able to go ahead

And make all of the smelting processes just like so and uh also definitely want to get these made as well these are also crafts uh because these are going to allow us to set autocrafts for all of our other uh ink all the other things that we’re going to use with our fine

Storage as well so perfect and uh this will get our first major smelts boy oh boy the technology has started and so right up here I can access this and then let’s go ahead and start a request so we will say iron and let’s see actually processors

Right so processors now if you already have some in here I believe it’s uh control shift to click if you already have some in and uh you can request more so I’m going to go ahead and start 10 of those and we should see the new

Processors going in and uh you can put speed upgrades in here to make it go faster and since this can smelt three items at once it would definitely be benefited from doing that but now that we have the AutoCraft set up for all of this making those things should be

Pretty easy couple of other things to Note covers can be made with just an iron nugget in the material you want to make a cover for and this will allow us to make some facades so if I hold shift and right click I can place it onto that

Extractor and then I can place it onto these cables too and if you want to just remove the facade without actually breaking the cable you can hold down control and use your wrench and that will pop it off so pretty cool that uh that is a thing I did wish if you held

The wrench it actually showed you where the actual cables or the facades were but this is perfect and there’s a a spot over here that we missed that we definitely want to get covered up as well and perfect so now with a few other things from refined storage in our uh in

Our autoc crafter we now should be able to access um an external storage so and uh and go ahead and craft One On Demand so perfect now we have an external storage and I should be able to use this here uh now for right now I only have

This amount I only have 32 buckets worth of uh Pink Slime but that should be fine for right now I’m going to actually go ahead and connect that in with the rest of these place this right here and uh yeah we’re going to hook in our external

Storage on this and this is going to give us access to this let’s go and make sure to set the priority one Higher and perfect so now we have access to Pink Slime which means we should be able to technically start working on the next

Tier of uh our uh machine frame if I can remember things so the next tier up so B basically making the advanced machine frame here this is going to require the pink slime it’s also going to require ancient debris uh so that’s something that we’re going to need or not ancient

Debris but netherite scrap um and the pink slime so all of this should be able to make and then it’s going to request the machine frame here first uh and should be able to produce this so all we needed to really craft was our first

Ingredients um and now if I go ahead and request this we’ll see that it will fire the first one first it’ll do this pattern first and then it will run this one and uh let’s go ahead and craft like two of these right um so in here and we

Go to Industrial let’s go ahead and make two advanced cuz that means it’s going to need to craft the simple technically first since it already has a simple machine frame it’s going to do this process first but then it’s going to continue to make the next tier so just

Like that you can see that it is making the uh the initial one first the so the simple so man there’s a lot of autocrafts that I’m going to need to get in place to make everything sort of run smoothly but it is really nice that we

Have access to this now as far as industrial 4go goes I really want to get all of these higher tier upgrades set in place and so these are going to require like uh glass panes and a couple of other things to be automated that’s one good thing that uh about industrial 4

Going is it really gives you a lot of things to definitely automate things you want to get automated and need and the first thing I want to upgrade after making all of the speed upgrades is well the disillusion chamber to make this a lot faster so now that we also have that

Machine frame the advanced one we can actually make something that holds 65,000 buckets it’s not infinite or uh the max in right here which is the 2 billion but it’s pretty good and I think this is going to be a really good substitution for the the way that we’re

Currently storing our XP from our incredibly fast mob farm that we set up last episode um so yes all of this does have a purpose and I have worked my way towards this uh this one thing for this one goal to be able to store tons and

Tons of experience uh because this ended up getting filled almost instantaneously it it did not last very long at all um so let’s go ah and break this and instead replace it with this and now we can turn our mob farm back on uh which yeah is kind of

Ridiculous and we should be able to see look how many buckets and how quickly this fills up hopefully this is enough uh to be able to store it because oh my gosh yeah it fills up with experience insanely fast now up into this point I have been using well this thing this

Right here in my hand I’ve been using the scry uh the the enchanter’s eye which is using a scry to access my storage but I don’t really need to do that and there are better ways of doing this um and it will allow us to use a hotkey

Just like we can use a hotkey to open up our crafting grid that is inside of our slot here we can also do the same thing but instead open up our storage and um our range is going to be limited for now but it can be expanded up to infinite

And even cross dimensional um so how do we do this well I need to go ahead and now that we have all of this stuff set up for AutoCraft Ing we should be able to easily make this I’m going to show you a cool little trick as well so one

Of the things we’re going to need is a wireless transmitter now if I don’t have any of these items you can see right here I’m missing the machine frame and if I go ahead and set up a craft for that machine frame I know this seems a

Little bit odd right now but once you have everything set up later on down the road it’ll be pretty easy to do let’s go ahead and place this in here um now that we have this and if I don’t have certain ingredients in such as these quch I can

Go ahead and hold down control and click the plus and it’s going to pull up the autocrafting menu for me and it’s going to automatically request the exact amount that I need to complete this craft and so there it is all of the items should technically be there it

Looks like it did go ahead and and this is a problem sometimes that happens is well it needed it for the machine casing as well and so it ended up using what I initially set out to craft but you do it a couple of times and there we go so if

You don’t want to just immediately set up an AutoCraft for something you just want it now or maybe it doesn’t really need to be AutoCraft it’s like a onetime thing you’re ever going to craft such as this then bam there we go we have it uh

And you can use that little trick which I think is awesome now along with this wireless transmitter we’re also going to need a wireless access but uh I’m going to use this this is a wireless crafting grid and it can go in my curio slot so it’s basically the same sort of process

Right we need a crafting grid uh a wireless one to be exact so let’s find it it’s always so painful that all of that is like that but um there we go so we’ll end up getting this got to get a regular grid and then turn it into the

Advanced version and this is just a good example of of using this a lot right so there’s the grid and with us having the grid we should be able to make this you can see though but it needs a crafting table so we can go ahead and quickly

Craft a crafting table um and this just makes it really nice really convenient um so yeah we should now have just about everything let’s go and get those items requested and then this we should have I’m pretty sure I just made the terminal right or the grid and we can put that in

There and now we have a regular crafting grid and last but not least the wireless crafting grid now I don’t have a way of charging this just yet um outside of a just a regular charger that we have over here so I think that’ll be something

That we work on next episode I think getting power better is going to be really really nice so let’s go ahead and just set this up by default so let’s get rid of the scry we don’t need this thing anymore this is 100% got to go right and

We don’t need this the the I that was linked to it instead what we can do is place this so a wireless transmitter Now by default it’s only 16 blocks but we can put some range upgrades in here to extend that significant L and there’s actually some really nice range upgrades

I’m going to explain in a minute all we got to do though to get this to work is we got to shift right click on the controller and that’s going to link it and now we can access that grid and we still have the same controls we can set

This to ji uh synchronized Auto selected or two-way I prefer two-way so I can type back and forth um but yeah this is going to work perfectly and we can put this inside of our curio slot as of right now I’m going to keep it in my inventory in my hand simply because

Because I want to be able to watch the RF go down uh that way I know when to refill it but like I said next episode we’re going to work on more power and uh we won’t have to worry about that anymore cuz we will have access to some

Wireless charging which is going to be super fun uh now back to the range that’s kind of important right because 16 blocks is not very far we can go right over here and we can’t access our storage anymore and that kind of defeats the purpose right whereas before we had

Quite a quite a bit of range so long as this chunk was loaded um so there’s a couple of different options you can go with your regular refined storage range upgrade and it’s not super great this will get you to a maximum of I think 40 blocks or 48 blocks something like that

In your base which is not very very much but we do have another mod that is in here that I think will help fix this um and I think we also we might need a uh a better transmitter so it’s this right here reborn storage gives us a better

Transmitter by default um it is going to require this which is going to require some netherite but it is ultimately an upgrade to our wireless transmitter and I think by default it’s base range is like a th000 blocks or something so it is quite a boost to have so let’s go

Ahead and make this thing now aside from this reborn storage adds a ton of other things besides this um so yeah definitely worth getting into and I hope we should be able like we should be able to get into it I think it it basically gives you a multi-block crafter so

Instead of using the iron Crafters that we’re using you basically have a like a big multi block uh and the speed on it can be very fast like you can craft things insanely fast um but either way let’s go ahead and make this which is what we’re working on now so just by

Default the advanced transmitter should have an increased range yes by default it’s a th000 blocks just by default and that’s without any range upgrades so let’s go ahead and see if we can’t automate the crafting of our regular refined storage range upgrades so range we already have the

Base upgrade set so we really just need this and it only has enough slots for four so back into here we can now craft four and we I I don’t know if this like how much extra this increases by for each but it should be a bit more than

Normal yeah 500 blocks per so this will take you all the way up to 3,000 total blocks to be able to uh to reach so that’s quite a distance around her Pace I will say that but it’s not infinite and there is a card that’s infinite we

Don’t have the power for it just yet though and this I believe does cost yeah 100 uh Fe per tick in order to use so much nicer right so we can travel all the way out here right all around our base and we still have access to this

And also don’t forget that you can set a hotkey to this so you see I’m not I don’t have it selected I just set up my hotkey and if I hit contr e it’s going to pull this up and if I hit contrl F it’s going to pull up my regular

Crafting grid on a stick uh just in case we’re somewhere where we need to craft something real quick we don’t have access to our grid hopefully in the future though that’ll be solved but for now that that’s basically refined storage autocrafting in a nutshell it gets a little bit more advanced than

This uh if you start to get into the Redstone components and how to control those but that’s basically it you have processes and you have autocrafts and we’re going to be using those quite a bit moving forward so guys with that I hope you enjoyed today’s episode hopefully you learned something new if
