EPIC Chaos Unleashed in Crafted Chaos

Hey, what is going on everybody! It is Nolan or the Optimistic Gamer here and welcome to episode one of Crafted Chaos: a modded survival series and boy am I excited for this I’m just going to chop while I talk here so that we do not waste any daylight

So this is a project that has been months in the making making sure all the mods are compatible with each other and and Making sure I have enough mods to add to the aesthetic feel the adventure feel kind of changed the way we can explore the world give us new methods of

Going about that the pack features over 200 different mods so there is no shortage of content with it and I have a lot of very well-known mods such as Biomes Oh plenty and Twilight forest I have the create mod with a bunch of

Expansions for that and then I also have some lesser known mods as well if you want the full list that will be in the Description I’m also working with uh-oh also working with curse Forge to Upload this mod. So we have a lush cave right

Here to get this mod uploaded so that you can Download the pack and play it yourself and you can play along with me I’m just trying to get as much done here and stay focused on this as well Talking and working at the same time just a standard start for us

I’m going to make a pickaxe real quick and an axe I do have a tree Capitator whatever you want to call it a timber mod, whatever you would like to call that So the axe should tear down that whole tree It will do quite a bit of durability to the

Axe, but we will get all of that wood much faster But as you could probably tell from some of the aesthetics that you noticed the lush cave the cherry trees You may have seen those off in the distance. This is a 1.20.1 mod pack

So we are playing on almost the latest version of the game now as the game continues to update the pack won’t necessarily Update right away. I’ll need to wait for all of the mod developers to update their respective mods, but it’s very current so I am really excited about that

We will still have things like ancient cities trail ruins and of course the Beloved sniffer, but we will also have many other New mobs as well. So that will be exciting for us. There’s actually some iron Right away for us here. So I will grab this that would be great

If we could get an iron chest plate on the first night And I’m sure many of you have been keeping up with the optimistic survival series This is gonna have a similar fuel to it in the beginning but later on once we start dealing with Complex machinery and getting into that

Whole aspect of the game. It will definitely be a Large step up from what we have right now in that survival series. What do we have right here? Sulfur I wonder if we can harvest this. Yes, we can with our stone axe

I’m going to need to make a backpack here before long. I do have Just enough items so I will be able to quickly look up recipes and We can be good to go with that And while I am familiar with many of the mods I have added

There are a ton of mods that I have never even played with before. So this is definitely going to be a Team experience for us if I’m not doing something correctly or inefficiently Please let me know in the comments so I can correct that or check the wiki and read more about that

I’m just waiting for this iron to finish up and I think I might actually make a couple tools Instead of a chest plate that would probably be Better for us. So that is done smelting. I think we will go ahead and make a pickaxe here

I think we’ll go ahead and make a normal axe as well And then we can make a sword. I think that’s a little bit more valuable to us than a Chest plate because we can shelter ourselves away for the first night Which is exactly what we do need to prepare for it is

Already past midday as we can see in the top right corner With the mini map that displays the time of day So we will be able to easily keep track of that the nice thing about having this Tree mod is we are able to quickly get large

Amounts of wood and that’s the big thing about modded gameplay in general, it’s all about getting large very large quantities of materials as Oftentimes you will need those for projects and whatnot And right over here, it looks like we have a meteor that seems to have

Struck the earth very interesting. I will keep that in mind. Of course with spawn being right here I don’t think we need to mark that on the map But our big goal for this episode is going to be finding a place where we would like to

Settle down and live and I haven’t really thought that through we have some ants over here I haven’t really thought through exactly where I want that to be I think there are probably over 200 or 300 different biomes that we could choose from

So we definitely have a lot of options here, but definitely a more temperate biome nothing to extreme nothing on the Those look hostile We’re gonna slowly back away and that is exactly what I mean. I think I have a Gravestone mod on here So if we do die our inventory will be saved

And we should get a waypoint from where we died But I I would like to go as long as possible without dying I think I died in the very first episode of the optimistic survival series So we’ll try to make it at least until episode 2 and try to set a record

I think I can safely drop in here I’m not really sure what that red thing is it almost looks like a gem I’m eyeballing that iron right down there and I think what we may do Actually, I think we will go ahead and drop down in here

It doesn’t look like there are any hostile mobs around and we will quickly grab this iron It will be a very high value to us. So 10 more iron from that We have a little bit more right up here. That is Fantastic, and I may have mentioned this

Before but I will leave a whole list of all the mods I will be using down in the description Feel free to scroll through those and let me know which ones you would like to see me cover first or deal with or anything like that

That looks very hostile. I don’t think we can safely make it through that forest right there Of course, you will notice that occasionally when I switch biomes I think it’s every time I go into any biome not just new biomes It should display it across the screen in big bold font

So we will know which biome we are in I do see a cherry Grove right up to the north of us and it would be nice if I could get over there I’m just a little worried about

How we may go about that and you will have to excuse any lag that I may Experience being that this is the first episode and we are loading in a lot of terrain That will be the case at least for now, but hopefully moving forward it will decrease

Significantly, so we are now in a jungle canyon and it looks like we have a river biome right up here and A very impressive river biome – see this is why you can’t beat mods. I mean the Sure, they the new vanilla generation. Don’t get me

Wrong. It’s incredible, but it does not stack up to this at all I feel like we’re in the Amazon rainforest or something, but I don’t really see how this is going to help us I think what we may end up doing

If we look at the map here, we should be able to make a boat And just sail what is going on right here? That looks Somewhat interesting we should be able to sail around And try to find a place where we would like to live

I think for now we are high enough a high up enough in the canopy that we should be okay from moms I do spy a creeper right in there. I may try to venture back up to that top layer But I think we will wait out the night at the top of

This tree and we can smell a little bit more of this iron and make some Make a chest plate and Get a helmet if we would like while I wait for that to smelt We also have many different guidebooks for some of the mods

Of course these ones we get automatically upon starting the world others We will have to craft but these will serve as the foundation moving forward showing us what to Expect and how to go about each mod You can see I have some very interesting

Mods on here rail craft of course that will be Way down the road when we start working with the create mod and machinery and all of that stuff of course for now, it’s just going to be very manual lots of Axes and pickaxes doing the mining ourselves until we

Get resources for things like a quarry in which we can Set that up and quickly mine out a large region. So let’s make a chest plate here and Equip that I’m already feeling a little bit more protected. That is great

And while we’re at it, let’s go ahead and look up how to make a Backpack because that will definitely come in handy for us We have a few different options from a few different mods here So I think we will find the most basic of course these infinity backpacks

Aren’t exactly what we are going after I think the basic backpack will be fine for us so it looks like if we get a chest in the middle some leather and some string or If we look at the travelers backpack that looks a little bit more complicated

So I think we will find a spider to kill and Get some string and then we will just need to find some cows I also need to find a source for some food because I am quickly Running out. It looks like we have some monkeys right in here. That is

Awesome to see and we have a zombie hour for zombie we are just going to keep away from him for now and Is that just a common housefly? I think it is but I Don’t want to get too close to that either. There’s a creeper

We are just gonna move past it and another zombie still looking for any spiders that may appear and an undead knight That looks very dangerous We are just going to quickly See if we can land this. Oh, that was very close. All right We are just going to stay down here in the

Water and we have a skeleton right over there All right. I think we just need to make a boat and get out of this canyon I am definitely glad that we made our iron armor though and We have a chest right here. I do want to stop and

There’s a spawner. Okay husks we can we can deal with husks Actually, I may even be well, is it gonna require us to break the spawner? I think that’s what’s going on here I don’t know that we can open that chest So let’s get rid of that and we already

Have a lot of very interesting loot in there Let’s just grab it and Get out of there. We’ll go ahead and park our boat here in the middle of this river It seems like a safe place to do that. We got a cracked gem of the samurai It is considered a unique item

We also got an anvil a creeper head, which let’s go ahead and put that on I think that would be kind of fun and then a couple other random items as well still looking for a spider though That is the big ticket item. We need that string

For a backpack. Of course, this is modded minecraft so that means usually there is more than one way to acquire an Item as you can see right up here. So the spider essence we do not have any of that Nor do we have an alchemy table with all

Of these orbs. I think it will have to be a spider that sources our string here and we have what looks like a green squirrel Right up here a star Bunkle Interesting. We have some very large mangrove trees. I love to see that that wood is a pain to get in vanilla

So it’s nice knowing that we can quickly acquire that here And we do have a spider with some skeletons. Let’s see if we can draw the spider Towards us. There we go. And we’ll back away from those skeletons We don’t want any trouble with them. Done five

Hearts now. I can’t sprint. This is a big problem for us I wonder if I can wreck any of the grass to get a quick source of food. We have another spider here and I just need to be very careful. Another spider has dropped down and

There are spiders all over the place now and we’re on three and a half hearts All right, we got them We have two string I would have liked to get a little bit more from that But I guess that is what we are dealing with

I really need to find a source of some food. It seems like normally whenever I play modded Minecraft I always come across a We have a tower over here. Oh good some pigs. I was about to say it always seems like I come across a Bundle of berries or something like that

But I will take the pigs and again still getting a little bit of lag But like I said that shouldn’t last for too much longer. We’ll get that cooked up real quick we will stay vigilant though as we are only on three and a half hearts and That isn’t very many

I’m gonna go ahead and make a set of leggings though That should help us out quite a bit and I also spotted another Structure off in the distance, but that actually looks like a village which would be very Comforting for us if we could find

Refuge in that village. So my health is all up now I’ve eaten a couple pieces of pork and we’re just gonna cook the rest of that. Hopefully we can find some String in the village that would be really nice and I’m sure we can make string from cotton

Perhaps if there is cotton well, maybe not but there are a lot of different ways to get string So let’s make our way down to this village over here and then we will check out that tower here in a moment Huh some of these houses actually give me vibes of the house

I built for the optimistic survival series similar palettes and roof patterns and whatnot Very interesting good architecture here and it does look like we have a village. I forgot I got a Mod that names all of the villagers. So we have Marcy Denise or D nice and

Goma and then I’m sure we have many other villagers around. Thank goodness. We have a bed that will be really nice for us Just checking to see if there are any hidden chests anywhere or any open chests for that matter I’m not seeing any here. We have a castle

Or at least the walls of a castle and I’m wondering if I can enter this without being harmed we will see Not really sure what that pressure plate is gonna do and it looks like it is just a normal castle They are all friendly to us in this chest. We have

Enough obsidian to build a nether portal plenty more iron a Lot of iron nuggets some vines and some cobbled deep slate. We will leave all of that put again right now I I’m hoping I can find some string. It looks like they have a birthday happening today Rosalie is it your birthday today?

Yeah, okay good talk and Up here a few more candles some chests any string any string look at that. We have some cobwebs It’s not string, but it’s about to be that is exactly what I was hoping for. So there we go We have enough string now – is there anything in the

Barrel there sure is lots of food for us. That’s good I think we will take refuge here in this village for a couple days just until we can get our bearing straight and are well equipped to enter back into the

Real world, of course, I still want to check out that tower up there But most importantly, let’s make ourselves a backpack so we will get the crafting table placed down and We are going to make this backpack right here a chest and for leather I’m still missing the leather though. So we will

See maybe we could trade with the leather worker if he sells leather the other thing you may notice about this series compared to the optimistic survival series This one is going to be a lot quicker in terms of the pace I’m going to progress in this world a lot more

Just because of the amount of content that there is we will just naturally we have a withering crossbow And string, of course, there’s string in here I could have just gotten it from there, but we have a withering crossbow. We will have to remember that Anyway, this will just naturally progress faster

Just because of how much we will cover per episode So it’s going to be a lot quicker paced compared to the optimistic survival series and look at that We have snowfall in the Calcite coast not a biome. I would expect to see snow. We have some cows in here

Hopefully we can get for leather from them. Of course, it may be better to Hold off for now and see if we can breed them and wow. Oh, wow. Look at this cave. I Know it’s kind of obstructed by the snow in the foreground

But we will definitely head down there to check that out in the future for now I’m just trying to find a leather worker. Uh-oh. All right. We have some crude oil right in here and some poor villagers Nikisha and

Whatever this villagers name is I fell into the oil. It doesn’t do damage to us though. That’s good. It’s just very sticky Debbie They are both stuck in the oil. We will have to help them out with that as well. So already our list of two dues is

Piling up and it doesn’t look like the best option is just going to breed those cows and getting off to where We can guarantee that we will get for leather because I’m not seeing any leather workers anywhere nor am I finding any leather in any chests, but there is still a lot of

Chest to explore in this village lots of food in here. We will actually grab this wheat for the cows Alright, let’s go ahead and breed these cows real quick I will just move these fence gates here to the front. I think that will be the easiest plan

There we go, and we can just take out the wheat and we’ll go ahead and Read them and then we will come back a little later breed them. Once again We should have enough cows to get that leather and we got a nice dusting from the snow

I’m curious though to look out into the ocean and just see what this coast looks like It’s called the calcite coast this biome. So I’m just curious what it all looks like along the shore We have some ice and a yellow tree over there

We will have to go check that out. And what do we have over here? This is a very interesting mid-century modern type Build I’m not sure who inhabits this over here. It looks like there is a villager though

So we will go ahead and chat with him and see what he is up to Gatekeeper Can we talk to you? Mr. Gatekeeper? Can I wreck that? Oh he looks Looks evil He is trading for some Interesting objects there, but we will once

Again return to that at a later date in here though Not finding anything that is of use to us I’ll take that bread. Why not? Actually, I’ll take the emeralds too and I just realized we are not wearing our iron leggings

Let me put those on so I’m just keeping my eye out for some cows out here Of course though not seeing any that’s okay. We are just gonna play the game of patience and wait for them to grow up In the meantime, I suppose we could go check out that tower

I will empty out my inventory a little bit though. I do suspect that there is likely a loot chest in there. I Hope I know sometimes these modded structures can be duds I Just hope that’s not the case Where is a chest? I’m trying to find a chest

That I can just dump all of these materials in Alright, we’ll just empty out in here We’ll put all of the books in there for now And I suppose we could throw just all of these loose treasures and whatnot in there as well

And you know, this is a really nice biome. I would settle here except I don’t Really love the idea of settling in a village. I’d rather be Far away and this tall grass is making it really hard to see some of these pits and pools and whatnot in the ground

I need to pay more attention to where I am walking. So let’s see where we have an entrance right here through this spruce door Hopefully there aren’t any hostile mobs in here. We have a cracked Guardian gem and a flawed Lightning gem Interesting So I guess I wonder what these gems are for

It looks like they’re for the apotheosis mod. So Again another mod that we will have to experiment with later on. We have a chest right up here and That Would be a trap chest that red ring. I am glad I saw that I I

Yeah, I’m glad I saw that that is connected to a handful of TNT down here Okay. All right. Well, I think we have just saved our first death and Is there anything else connected to this chest on? any side Okay. All right. I think I think we are good now to

Open this and we have some diamonds right off the bat I would be more excited, but it is modded Minecraft. So diamonds are much more Common here as opposed to normal vanilla Minecraft and they certainly are not the most valuable Resource in the game and we have a raccoon

Right here. I don’t know if they are hostile or not I think they may be neutral and We are gonna keep a distance from them. We don’t want to get rabies or anything. That would not be a fun time for us

So, let’s see how the cows are doing. We should be able to Kill a couple of them now for some leather Of course, I may see if we can breed them It looks like they have about one more minute to go on their breeding cooldown a very nice feature from

Well, I’m not really sure what mod that’s from it could be the what am I looking at? Oops didn’t mean to wreck that Whatever though what am I looking at mod is? So let’s go ahead and get one more sleep in and I think once I make this backpack that will probably be

Where we end this first episode, of course not a whole lot going on but Definitely getting our feet wet in the whole modded world the modded side of this game and five more seconds for them and there’s two pieces of leather and Only two. All right. Well, we’re gonna have to wait for

Those cows to grow up then I wonder if pigs drop leather Well, no, of course, they don’t I already killed a bunch for food, but a little more food will not hurt So we have two leather out of the four that we need

We can go ahead and make the chest in the meantime There we go. So all we are missing is two more pieces of leather. I Have not seen a leather worker anywhere. I believe it is a cauldron for their Workstation and I don’t really feel like spending that much iron

For two pieces of leather at this moment. So we will just wait it out with those cows This is definitely a neat little village. I want to make my way up to the very top and kind of see What they have going on Out here, here’s the ladder up to the very top

Open the trapdoor and we have a chest up here I mean just make sure this isn’t a trap chest and Just lots of arrows defense mechanisms and it’s actually a pretty decent sized village As I think a couple greenhouses I think there’s one right here and then I think

There’s one more on the other side of the castle right here We even have a bridge that extends across this little courtyard area And it looks like we do have some upgrades that we can add to our backpack as well We have some pickup upgrades filters magnets that could be very useful

Feeding upgrades we have restock upgrades and Refill so I’m wondering if there’s anything that expands our capacity That one could be very useful the everlasting upgrade But it doesn’t look like any of these upgrades allow for more storage So I think whatever we get is what we will get of

Course right up here once we get into these infinity Backpacks that can hold over 2 billion items then I think we will be okay, but for now We will Stick with what we have so it looks like these cows have anywhere between 5 and 10 minutes left on their growth time

So I think we may actually set out and see if we can find One or two more cows just somewhere out here Plus it gives us an opportunity to do a bit more exploring and figure out where we want to permanently live I’m also curious about these multicolored trees over here

And these mobs are these alays in the Alay family or whirly Spriggs and I’m not even gonna attempt that one. I’ll have to look at the wiki for a lot of these pronunciations But they definitely looks like they were a part of the Alay family that’s for sure

So now we are in a flower forest as you can tell by all of the flowers And that is the coastline. So let me see what this purple tree over here is This is Vexing Archwood and I see a lot of horses. There’s a pig over here, but no cows

We will roll with it. I think it would be fun if this was an ever expanding Mod pack and always giving us something new to explore So I’m in the journey map menu now just kind of checking out all of the different terrain. I should probably

Stay vigilant of the time of day. I don’t know if that progresses or not while we are in that menu We’ll step into the greenhouse and just looking at all of this It looks like we were in a very heavily forested area around spawn with the jungle and the rain forest the

Tropical forest tropical rain forest jungle Highlands Redwood so we’ve kind of escaped that and we are moving into a much cooler region along this calcite coast and Stony shore up here. I think in the next episode we will travel up this way and see what we have

Staying central to this village. Of course, this will be our Returning point each night until we do find that spot that we would like to settle down in But I think we will either go up this way or expand out into the ocean

Well, I was also looking at the backpacks a little more It looks like we have iron gold diamond and netherite backpacks. So I would assume that is our upgrade for the Backpacks capacity so we will try that out with iron, which means I will need a little bit more

I’ll do that while we wait for that other cow to grow up. There may be some somewhere in here I know we have a couple iron in that chest But there might be some ingots in a chest somewhere as well We have some iron nuggets in there and we

Have three villagers now in the pool of oil nice going Debbie and Nick Kesha and Krista I’m debating in my mind whether I kill these two cows now and then have to wait another 20 minutes if they don’t drop leather or

Wait a little while longer five more minutes to see but I’m feeling lucky we’ll go ahead and kill them no leather from him and We’ll take our chances To leather there we go. All right, so we have enough leather to make the backpack now

So I just found a crafting table up here and we will Assemble this backpack we are just missing the fourth string which of course is in the chest over in the castle So let’s head over there. We will swap that out for the raw pork

We don’t need that right now and I just need to find another crafting table. Of course, I could just place my own boat What’s the fun in that? Not to mention I don’t even have it on me. All right, let’s make this backpack Move the items and

The backpack has been created. There we go. If we right-click that we should be able to access it We have our upgrade module right in there. So if I can just find four more iron nuggets We will have enough iron to Upgrade this to an iron backpack. I’m just

Curious to see what it does. My guess is it is a capacity upgrade but again, I could be completely wrong about that. Oh and Totally forgot we have eight iron in the chest already. So now I just need to find a crafting table I’m just gonna make one and place it down

Here so that we don’t have to worry about that We will surround the backpack with iron And the iron backpack holds a lot more items So if this holds a large chest worth and two upgrade modules Makes me curious what the netherite backpack

Will be able to hold so we can throw all of our Valuables in here our enchanted books and whatnot the TNT These gems and orbs and of course our precious materials as well We will have a lot of research to do on all of these items in the future

But for now, it’s definitely nice to have those on hand for when we do need them But that is where we are and I still have the creeper head on that is where we are ending this episode of Crafted chaos episode one of this modded survival series. I really hope you enjoyed it
