Hello everyone welcome back to the breakdown today I’m gonna be teaching you how to download and install custom maps for Minecraft 1.14 yep minecraft 1.14 just came out now we’re gonna be doing an in-depth video showing you exactly how to get custom minecraft maps in it this actually isn’t a super easy Process and it does take you know knowing a little bit about Minecraft to get it done so you want to do is go to the second link down below that’s actually going to take you here this is our list the 15 custom apps that you must play in minecraft 1.14 There’s all kinds of cool stuff here however we’re gonna be installing this one number one on the list freaky parkour it’s actually a cool parkour map and I like it because it actually implements 1.14 stuff it’s got scaffolding it’s got some bamboo it’s got cool stuff that is featured in 1.14 So once you’re here you can click on the green download button there that’s gonna take you off to the download page of the map it might be different from like what you’re seeing here for example but it’s going to be a download page once you’re here you do need to find the download Button as you can see download minecraft map click on that and it will download in the bottom left you may need to keep this file by clicking keep there let’s likely though it was go ahead and download now we minimize our browser here we do have freaky parkour right Here on our desktop if this isn’t on your desktop know where I speak these little windows icon in the top left for me but it’s in the bottom left of your screen that little Windows icon there go ahead and click on that and when you do It’ll open up this where you want to type in downloads here you’ll see a downloads file folder in windows right there click on that and then once you’re here you’ll find freaky parkour you can drag it to your desktop just for ease of use now once you’ve done that you can go Ahead and double click on freaky park over here and if it will open up this now when you’re here go ahead and double-click on the folder that’s inside of the zip folder now if you do that and it shows this stuff right here see this if it Shows all of this stuff back out one right hit the back button in the top left to where as soon as you click on this it says all of this stuff data data packs down a dim one dim – one all of that stuff and then drag that folder to Your desktop now once this is on your desktop it’s very important that you open up the custom map folder and make sure that it says advancements data data packs dim one dim – one right if it doesn’t have stuff like that it might not have all of those but it doesn’t Have some of that stuff then you need to make sure that as soon as you open the folder you’re seeing dim one dim – one right it should have both of those and it should have those as soon as you open up the folder if you don’t if it doesn’t Do that well then you need to make sure it does that or it won’t work in game speaking of game in game at this point we can go ahead and open up minecraft 1.14 at this time I’m going to tell you about our minecraft 1.14 server play it Out breakdown craft comm we have an incredible jobs based 1.14 survival server allow you to survive and just get the real essence of 1.14 we’ve got crossbows we’ve got pillagers we’ve got villagers we’ve got ill ensures everything is over there on our server plate up breakdown Craft comm come play with us 1.14 is that right so here we are in the Minecraft main menu we can go ahead and click on single-player here and then you just want to select any of these worlds now if you don’t have a world create a new world So that’s what I’ll do I’ll just create a new world and it’s got launches in the game but then we’re going to immediately back out of it so I’m just gonna let this load it and then close out of this world there we are we’re loaded in now We can go ahead and save and quit to title and now what you want to do is select any of the worlds in your like world menu here right so single-player any of these worlds in here click on them and then click on this edit button under the play selected world button in The bottom left click on that and then you should see open world folder see that’s a go ahead and click on open world folder here and it will open up this then up here in the top bar click on saves you see that if you this right Here will be different it probably won’t say new world but you’ll see saves click on that and then once you’ve found saves all you want to do is the map you downloaded freaky parkour and drag it into the saves folder once it’s there again double click on it and Make sure you see dim one dim – one if you see those two things then one dim – one you’re good to go if you don’t open the map immediately and see those two things it’s not gonna work and you need to make sure that as soon as the map is Opened you’re seeing those nevertheless we can now close out of that click cancel and sometimes it’ll be here automatically but you usually need to cancel out of that and then click on single-player again and it’ll pull up and of course there it is freaky parkour now as you can see this is actually Building a snapshot of 114 so if we double click on it’s gonna say do you do you want to do this as we do we know what we’re doing here we know this is a 1.14 map and it will load right on up additionally it’s a custom map so it’s Not like you can’t just redownload it if it does break but welcome to the free give argh or and there’s all sorts of different rules over here but I’m wondering you just jump off like I just kind of want to I just kind of want to Jump off this map was made by box click this sign to start this parkour alright here we go and then you just parkour around I not good at parkour if you can’t tell um but yeah I mean you can see there are some wind up 14 blocks up there I think we’ve See some some of the new walls we see em custom blocks right there maybe maybe yeah that’s scaffolding right there so all kinds of cool stuff and that right there is a new block as well so all kinds of cool stuff added in 1.14 showcased in this server I am horrible First and foremost, you need to download some maps for Minecraft 1.14. We have a list of the top 15 best Maps for Minecraft 1.14 linked in the description above. We try our best to have maps from every major category, so no matter what you are looking for in a custom map, we have it on that list!
After you have downloaded your Minecraft map for 1.14, we need to get installed. First things first, unzip your Minecraft Map, and open up the new file in created. You should see ‘data’, ‘DIM1’, and ‘DIM-1’. If you don’t, keep clicking through the folders until you do. Once you see the folders for your custom map, go back one folder and drag that to your desktop. You can now delete the zip file you downloaded.
Next, you will need to open up Minecraft 1.14. Next, click on single player, and then, click on any map you have in single player. You will see an ‘edit’ button in the bottom left of Minecraft. Click on that, then you should have an ‘Open World Folder’ button. Click that, and at the top of the screen, you will see ‘saves’. Click that. All you need to install Minecraft maps in 1.14 is drag and drop the map you downloaded into it. After that, you are good to go!
Go back to the Minecraft main menu, click on ‘Singleplayer’, and click on the map you installed. Congratulations! You know how to play Minecraft Maps in Minecraft 1.14.
