EPIC Fishing Dock Build in Minecraft 1.14! Watch JWhisp’s Survival Let’s Play – EP 4

Hello everyone what’s up – wispier and welcome to episode 4 of the Minecraft 1.14 survival let’s play in the last episode we did some semi-successful mining as well as fixing some things up around the village as you can see I have done a little bit since the last episode

The main thing I did and kind of off-camera was pretty much all the seeds and wheat and extra things I had I composted and used to make bone meal and I bone meal the heck out of this area there might be a little too too many

Flowers but I don’t know looking at it from afar I think like right here you know what I mean that’s the money shot I think it looks pretty good I wanted a very you know flowery kind of vibe for this area I don’t know I think it looks

Good but anyways what I want to accomplish in this episode is over there we kind of have a port um coming from the village leading off to the sea but the land kind of blocks it a little bit so what I would like to do is dig our

Way through there and make a nice opening out to the ocean as well as make maybe a small boat dock or a small kind of fishing area that I can use one to look good but to you know it’ll serve a functional purpose and I want to make it

Out of oak wood and since I don’t really have much left after building my house what I’m gonna have to do is just take some from this forest I’ll try to replant maybe what I can I might not replant everything right away but my plan is I don’t want to make

Anything small and I want to make this boat dock kind of connected to the village what I kind of want to make it look like is since I’m gonna put a wall around the village this little boat dock area is gonna be a place where it would

Look like it’s kind of like a trading port and you know boats will come in and out and that’s how you kind of access the village at least from the water I’ll also have an entrance on land and I’m not going to be able to accomplish all

Of that this episode once I actually build the wall and we upgrade our village a little bit I think and that’s when I’ll start doing most of that stuff for the time being you know I’m just gonna make a little bit of some nice decorative stuff that I think will look

Good once I actually get some diamond tools and you know we get a little more established that’s what I’m gonna start these really big building projects but for the time being most of the episodes are just gonna be small little projects with me gathering resources as well yeah

Also I’m planning to mention you guys oh my gosh you guys have shown tremendous support on this episode and and you know well I don’t know about this episode but on this series in general I don’t even understand I was the other day I was talking about it on the other episode I

Credit it to one person but I thought it was a good idea and I think it’ll kind of fit the theme of the world as regards to my builds though I’m not really gonna have any specific theme like I’m not gonna try to make this village a

Medieval village and then make like a Norse village or something like that we’re just gonna kind of I don’t know look at the terrain and see what I think fits again not that I’m like some amazing builder that could do anything but you know feel like I can make it

Look decent so this should be enough wood for now I also forgot I want to grab some stuff from my house because there are some some other um I’m trying to think so implies I’m gonna need like I want a little bit of stone because I think I

Want to implement some stone cobblestone slabs something like that in there I think it’ll I’m trying to get a picture of a fishing and or a boat dock in my head I’m just trying to think of how I can build it and I think some stone

Slabs will be useful so I want to grab those like kind of like these notes apps you know what I mean that I put around my house do I have any extras though okay you know what let’s just take all this stuff with us I’ll honestly I’m

Just gonna take a bunch of crap and and I think that’ll be good okay so we’re probably gonna abuse the heck out of this shovel here trying to dig our way to the ocean there there’s not too big of a gap but here before I start digging

I’ll kind of show you what I’m talking about so the reason I want to do this boat dock is I was kind of inspired so there’s this little hot right here and the next to this hood you know there’s you know this isn’t supposed to be a

Dock it’s just a little pathway but I thought this would be a good area because this is kind of like a canal that leads into this village so I’m gonna have the wall surrounding this yeah and then you know the walls gonna go around here and then here will be an

Entrance for boaters but I also want to turn that house eventually into some sort of fishing or boat house or something like that just a very you know oceany looking house but here well here’s this giant channel we have and it goes all the way over here it doesn’t

Quite lead into the ocean you know if I go you know it stops here I might be able to dig it through the cave but that might look weird so I’m thinking what I want to do is I kind of scouted this out earlier I’m gonna make an opening here

Through the canal and so they come in from the ocean through this low canal and over there so I think this will be a good spot let’s take this tree down cuz this isn’t the most I don’t know it’s not the most efficient tree okay so I’m

Trying to think how I should do this what would be the best area I think right here you know if there’s a little curvature to it it’s fine okay this this won’t be too bad I thought I don’t do a little bit more digging than this but

I’m gonna have to dig it down a few blocks because I want well I want to make sure there’s plenty of room and it also like to build a lot of fake boats around this area I think it’ll look really nice you know not just the dainty little Minecraft boats but some pretty

Legit pretty big sized boats you know what I mean I think it’ll add like a nice little aesthetic to the area let’s see how how much bigger should I make this I want it to be decently wide because the boats I’m gonna make I feel like I’m gonna

Make some pretty big boats so I want it to look somewhat realistic I don’t want these giant boats having to squeeze through a really tiny area oh I’m also gonna have to you’re gonna have to fill this up you know if I just dig more out

I think I don’t think I’ll have to fill it up with water I think it’ll kind of fill itself up let me see it oh I’m not entirely I know they changed some of the water mechanics too so now some things are kind of weird and I’m still not used

To it a lot of people commented how a lot of simple 1.13 things I don’t really know and yeah that’s true you know I’m not a Minecraft bro I’ve been playing minecraft for a while that’s how I’m able to you know build some pretty nice-looking stuff and you know I know a

Lot about the game but in terms of 1.13 and 1.14 i didn’t really play much during 1.13 and 1.14 i haven’t really I haven’t really looked at the update notes too heavily so a lot of this is a learning experience for me but yeah I think I think that’s pretty good I don’t

Know if we need to dig it down another level I mean it looks like there was obviously land here once before but yeah I don’t think I’m gonna dig that all out right now that’s I don’t know it’s looking better this looks somewhat natural I don’t want to just make this

Look like a totally unnatural area I’m trying to think what can I do like I’m not gonna be too worried about making it look like amazing and all like perfectly natural but I want it to look like there was like a natural divot in this area that kind of broke but I think

I think that’s fine so let’s go back to the village let’s build some sort of dock or like I want to do this one I’m gonna make just a small boat dock that will fit actual minecraft boats I would like to eventually I think I’m

Gonna knock out a lot of this land and make like a pretty big boat dock to house some big boats but for now I just want to make something small and I want to you know I want to make it usable for Minecraft boats I also just want to make

A small fishing dock a lot of people also talk to me in the comments though that one of the reasons I couldn’t trade with the villagers was because they weren’t assigned jobs I just assumed that all villagers kind of had these new jobs I didn’t know that the village only

Came with a set number of you know the new special they’re talking a few tables and the smokers and the furnaces and all that stuff I just like I just assumed that they came with enough but I guess I’m gonna have to add some of my own

That’s a pretty easy project that’s not anything big but just something that I didn’t know so I appreciate you guys for letting me know about that but okay let’s get out I think Pat’s waffles pretty bad I mean I used cash locked by my house um just to fit in the current

Style of the village but definitely in the future I want to add my own path I like using anywhere from like leaves to stone slabs to cobblestone just things along those lines on gravel usually – looks pretty good I think it’s getting night here so let me place down some

Torches really fast not too worried about sleeping in my bed it’s okay we haven’t really enjoyed the night too much so why not here as long as I put the torches in a pretty big radius I think we’ll be pretty protected okay yeah I mean this looks pretty good here

Let’s make this all the dirt I might need to make another shovel here in a self cuz my shovels pretty much destroyed now okay I’m trying to think how can I go about this I have to get the image in my head before I just start building so

Okay let me try this let’s put down the furnace excuse me I’m gonna need some stone really fast and now I’ll need a crafting table so okay I’m gonna make it out of oh let’s do oak planks with oak logs I think that’s pretty standard so

If I go like I’ll make it three blocks thick then this is just temporary how long should I make it okay we have some zombies let’s take care of them maybe I should have slept in my bathroom I don’t care it’s fine where’d they come from

Over here here let’s light it up a little bit oh my god okay why can they see me from so far away Oh see my iron golems they’re destroying some mobs I’m actually gonna have to make more iron golems because I was looking for my village after a video and I’m like what

The heck why is there like literally like two villagers in my village and I realized I’d looks during the video and the mobs were literally just going to town on my villagers a kind of massacred a bunch of them so I mean it’s not a big deal

But you know I think villager breeding is I know it’s a thing I don’t exactly know how to do it be some then I assume with 1.14 they made it somewhat different I could be wrong maybe it’s the same thing but I don’t know I’m sure I can figure

Okay did you guys see what I’m doing this kind of okay let me see I have to add logs somewhere else because I’m gonna be taking I’m gonna get rid of that dirt so how can i jambe get out of here I have to think what can I do

Okay that should be fine for now because what I wanted to do with the stone oh wait wait there’s actual stone slabs I wanted to make the stone wait hold up well that’s not what I wanted to make I didn’t even I forgot they added new slabs that that

Wasn’t my intention no crap okay I was gonna make the like smooth whatever I don’t know what it’s called okay I’m trying to think so if I have the logs how should I do this so if I I’m thinking a wild one put stone slabs on

Top of the logs cuz I think that looks good I’ve done it build like that before and then I don’t want the dark to be too long I wanted to be relatively small because I think this is gonna be a fishing dock and then I built the

Boating duct kind of off the village but the fishing dock will be in the village for the fishermen so I’m just trying to get inspiration here I don’t know what to do here maybe if I place down the slabs to see this is what I needed to do

No not stone bricks how do you make okay so in Minecraft do you used to just be able to place stone like that and it would make the stone slabs but they were like the different looking you know what I mean they didn’t look like the actual

Stone they would look they’re like a very light grey color they were very smooth they looks fancy like there that would’ve did in my house I made them before I just don’t remember what I did I’m gonna guess I don’t have to put them right now I can just put cobblestone

Slabs I’m trying to remember what I did these slabs I don’t why did I do to get those I seriously have no idea I’m lost right now please shoot each other skeletons so you can start fighting okay you know what we can for now all right I’m back

So I figured it out I went online and I looked up you actually have to smell regular stone to get smooth stone first and then you can make this with stone slabs so I guess we actually have smooth stone blocks now which is pretty cool I

Don’t know if you can make like fences out of them and stairs and I don’t know I left to Dolf to check that out I think that’s pretty interesting but I also have somewhat of an idea as to what I want to do with this so I

Think what I’m gonna do let’s put down points like that right and then I’m trying to think what did I what did I want to do next I wanted the slabs to kind of be hanging over a little bit I don’t know how I like that we take the

Oak logs all the way down that looks better okay so this okay it’s looking like something I don’t know if this is gonna oh oh that’s so weird look at that I’m not used to that okay here we go I also apologize again I keep everything

Clear my throat a lot my big deal but I don’t know it’s always a spring thing I don’t usually a bad allergies but okay this doesn’t look that good you know what what if I you I just I had an idea because I’ve been using these for

Decorating a lot so I wanna I want to try something it might be crazy but hold on don’t I’m not gonna say what it is yet just just give me I gotta think about this this might look amazing this might look horrible so what if I

Made some sprue okay suit I’m doing you feel me yeah maybe I don’t know how it’s gonna look hold up literally spruce trapdoors are good for anything they are one of the best blocks added okay that didn’t work huh best blocks add it to this game I think I use them

All the time now okay okay huh let’s go okay hold on does that look good that looks good I don’t know if the oak slabs really work okay what if I made it spoofs I don’t I just I didn’t want to express what I think looks better generally but I didn’t want to

Use too much spruce wood cuz it doesn’t really match the village but I guess I can I don’t know add some spruce within the village hold up it might be too dark for the oak logs though okay I have to see I don’t know this is either gonna

Look really good or really bad and I don’t know how it’s gonna look so I’m just gonna kind of go with it and hope for the best see it really blends in with the I feel like it blends a little too much with the trapdoors if

I used oak trapdoors that look good I misplaced a lot of those wood oak trapdoors the work for the sides here let me just test this out I think the Spruce trapdoors look pretty decent I mean I can always change it later this isn’t permanent I can always just upload

This and you guys let me know what you think looks good oh that looks good too hold up wait a second I might like that better sorry spruce trapdoors because I didn’t want to use actual fences cuz I don’t know I’m just I’m not a big fan of

Getting there but now will I like it better with spruce slabs still I should have used oak slabs are you kidding me it’s raining how does it get instantly dark should still be daytime out okay whatever um I like that I think that looks good what it looked better with

Oak home let’s just try it I’ve got to try it with oak slaps hold up I don’t really care that I’m dropping stuff in the water it’s fine I’ll grab it later I know people who are gonna yell at me for that but it’s fine because this might be better since I

Wanted to stick to the theme of Oakville I’m just not a big fan of the modern oak like a slabs I don’t know well okay hold up how okay how much what if I like did something like this does this look bad I like to mix it up a little bit hold up

Why are they spawn it’s not even nighttime and literally just rare I’m so confused yeah well that doesn’t look bad doesn’t so like yeah that’s right you fall down does he just become around then if he stays in there I don’t know how all these new mechanics work okay so I think

Oh my gosh no no oh he popped up out of nowhere no no no why is he jumping all around my thing he’s like hot I want to blow up your creation it looks nice no oh my god I’m so dumb okay wait you stay down there

Hold up okay I can fix this maybe that maybe him blowing it up was a sign that that’s how it should be I just have to work a little harder for it hold up Oh yup he’s a he’s a drone no okay that is how that works yeah cool

Okay so hold up I think that looks pretty cool and then I had a log and a slab and then a trap door and then that was good okay let’s take a look at this hold up I think I think I’m pretty cool with this I actually I don’t know the the oak

Looks a little too smooth but I like the oak mixed in with the spruce I think I don’t know it adds some more texture to add some more uniqueness what if I added just like hold up dude these skeletons can’t aim what if I added like just those okay hold on

Oh my gosh get out of here why there’s so many what is happening okay good I got a bow I can’t even pick it up um okay are you digging it should I add them on this side too like does that look kind of no maybe just on the front

No I mean this looks okay all right dude there’s a turtle Oh guys we got a pet turtle who knows he’s just chillin dude man dude can I keep this turtle please stay in the village haha I don’t know I feel like I’m happy with this it’s not anything amazing but

It looks like pretty decent you know what I mean oh okay just as it breaks okay what I need to turn that into it well I don’t know I think I’m cool with that I think it looks pretty good I’m gonna make some new tools really fast let me know what

Minecraft Let’s Plays cuz you know my craft is making a little bit of a comeback now and I feel like a lot of people are enjoying this so I want to make this a very long series this is gonna be definitely well over a hundred

Episodes um so I want to make this world from the start and look as good as possible okay so let me just throw some random crap in here really fast hold up let’s grab the iron make some sticks oh I forgot there’s also different types of signs now that’s gonna be fun

Your pickaxe someone’s walking around outside I can hear it it’s also making ax or a hoe okay now let’s just make double of every tool I’ll just leave them in my inventory like that appache we don’t have this it’s fine okay I mean I’m feeling pretty good guys

You know everything’s not not perfect but here let’s go take us see it’s it’s daytime now and it’s raining but last time I was raining it was daytime I went straight to night I don’t know what’s up with like I don’t know oh my gosh you literally killed my villager let’s
