Open Modular Turrets 2 brings turrets to the game, serving to defend designated areas from unwanted mobs or players. Players can advance through the turret tiers and unlock new turret types, acquire upgrades and addons and with these, keep their bases safe against the foes of Minecraft. To assemble a turret, the player will need to craft two core components. First is the turret base. The turret base acts as the central controller for the turret, where players give the turret ammo, configure its settings and slot addons and upgrades. With the turret base, the turret types can then be attached. These can be connected to a turret base in any orientation. Each turret type has its own rate of fire, damage output and ammunition, each serving a different role The incendiary turret for instance, sets mobs ablaze with blazing clay, whilst the rocket launcher turret fires a volley of rockets for an explosive payload. If shooting potatoes at mobs sounds fun, Well, it’s possible with the potato cannon. Extra components can also be crafted that can enhance the turret’s capabilities. The base power expander adds additional RF to the turret and the base inventory expander provides extra ammunition slots for the turret to resupply from. Both these components can also be attached to the turret base in any direction, and could further improve a turret to last longer. Open Modular Turrets 2 adopts a tiered system for its turrets, to provide a sense of progression when crafting stronger turrets. Players can’t immediately craft an laser turret, but instead Must advance through the different tiers to achieve their desired turret Turrets in this mod come in five tiers. Crafting higher tier components allows the player to craft more advanced turret types, slot more add ons and upgrades onto a turret and can store more power. Turrets must be powered with RF to operate. Tier 1 turrets can be manually powered by a turret hand-crank All other turret tiers require RF to be powered into the turret base. Turrets also have a few handy settings that can assist the player in protecting their base. For starters, turrets can be toggled to attack or not attack Hostile mobs, passive mobs, and other players If using on a PVP server, players can access the trusted players section to add a list of players the turret should ignore. Turrets can additionally have the option to automatically disassemble a turret and the turret base. To better assist turret configuration, The turret memory card can be used. This copies the settings off a turret and can apply its stored settings onto other turrets, making turret configuration much easier. One method to enhancing turrets is through upgrades and add ons. These can provide passive or active bonuses to a turret To make them more effective in and out of combat. Upgrades are used to improve the base stats of the turret to make them more effective. These upgrades range from extending the range turrets can detect mobs, to increasing the turret’s rate of fire. Most turret tiers only have one upgrade slot, However, each upgrade can stack up to four times. Addons on the other hand, enhances turrets in other areas. A simple add on to turrets is solar panel; turrets exposed to sunlight will generate power. mobs killed by turrets with the fake drops add on will drop loot, Acting as the perfect add on for mob farms. Open Modular Turrets 2 is a great mod for those who want to protect their base against invading mobs or other players. Video Information
