EPIC MarioMania: My Hero Origins!

[Applause] you guys have been asking for it you’ve been asking for it for sure and it’s finally here after weeks and weeks of work we finally have it brand new poster commemorating the new origin series my hero origins we have the one of the smartest heroes in the series immortalized

Today’s lesson to turn in your votes and figure it out uh the class president candidates should be able to state their pieces and then can i run anybody can run uh if you’d like uh somebody come up here to get uh these uh papers so that you all have something to vote on

Over one of the more superficial but fun parts in hero work hero presentation i’ve also got more or less of a surprise for you all but we’ll get to that it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise you’ll some of you may even be able to guess easily what it is but

We’ll just hype up the excitement so we all know are costumes hero names and i know you’ve been thinking about them and probably want to share what you’ve got to the class but for now let’s talk about one of my favorite aspects of hero presentation the grand entrance the grand interest is basically

Any dramatic entrance you run into battle with it could be as complex as walk poking through a literal blaze of burning glory a series of fireworks are as simple as if the typical hero landing don’t recommend it’s not good for your back or even just running in with a catchphrase a

Teach yes uh wasn’t it said a couple years ago during one of the hero conferences that uh hero entrances might be might need to be toned down because of uh what was it i think it was like mako fire a couple years ago caused a city-wide blaze making a grand entrance

Oh no oh which is why i’ll you’re ex you’re absolutely right mario which is why i’m going to talk a little more on that side a bit later that situation must have been very heated at the moment so for example if the situation calls for it i may and i’ll emphasize this tactfully

Run into battle do please be careful um both staff in hand and say looks like someone is in the mood for a fight that’s really cool does that include does that include teacher ones or just student ones with the puns teachers as well but that’s her catchphrase there’s actually a reason for these

Catchphrases now puns are no joke puns being thrown around on the hero field actually has more than just an aesthetic or comical purpose humor and laughter can help keep you calm in a stressful situation it doesn’t even have to make sense if you confuse a villain all the better

Making these sort of jokes on the field only help to only help civilians to stay hopeful and also helps you re leave you and also helps yourself relieve stress during fights some villains even use the same tactics because well it works witty banter is always fun if you can manage that

Wait so that that’s does that does that mean i have to work even harder on my on my puns no oh my goodness feel free to do what you please nico in terms of horrible communication so yes moving on i know you all want to state your hero name and you will

But first i’ve submitted everybody’s hero costume designs and lo and behold they’re all ready already imagine having somebody [Laughter] we all can’t just take off our clothes you know but we aren’t all our armor are we so you know it never hurts to be prepared so what i

Would like you all to do and i’ll give you all 10 minutes to do this is to head down to the lockers where your hero costumes are waiting get dressed and come back to class so you can present your hero costume with a hero entrance and declare your hero name

Oh no he’s over complicated by the way if anything no no no no no chris jericho no need to over complicate the hero entrance if anything just run up enthusiastically just have fun with it you can even say catchphrase if you want and before you get changed

Before you get changed hero entrances do not apply on all missions especially stealth missions they are meant to give the people hope the villains fear and you enjoyment but they should not jeopardize anyone’s safety i’ll admit i don’t actually approve of fireworks because it’s a hazard in general but it’s happened

Yeah that wasn’t that why the pyrotechnics division was created to stop heroes from uh overusing those yes it was the first priority is the people’s safety not looking cool but if you do want to look cool you’ll achieve that by saving people so don’t put too much stress on your

Hero entrances it’s something many heroes do for themselves if you want to enter a fight without us uh so you said no fireworks are sparked soap sure minor sparks will do cool as long as it’s safe it works sweet i have a question yes uh so i’ve been thinking really

Really really hard on my hero name but i really can’t think of anything is it okay if i come up with my hero name further down the line oh absolutely all of this is a sceptical change your hero costumes won’t always have the same design your hero names may change throughout

Now to move on to the homework assignment don’t worry i’m just assigning a simple essay all right just an essay so um let’s see here so the essay is on the importance of hero costumes we’re going to be focusing on the symbolism of hero costumes phones just going off oh

Okay all right so homework assignment is going i have the rubrics right here please uh make sure to pick them up on your way out of class it’s basically on the symbolism for costumes as i assume that in the support class you go over the function of them so first two

First body paragraphs should cover hero costumes as a whole second body paragraph should be on your own costume and just a simple intro and conclusion will do you’re not being graded on grammar that’s for language arts uh it’s just on comprehensiveness all right you can submit them by email
