EPIC Minecraft 1.14 Base Hunt! 😱

Hello there ladies and gentlemen boys and girls my name is waddles and welcome back to the minecraft guide episode 8 you know I really need at like like some matching clothes like better boots and stuff and actually I have the the iron to do it now so let’s start off nice and

Strong with a brand new set of boots and maybe even a hat at least for now because the gold ones are just they’re uncomfortable and we need good shoes for what we’re planning to do today today in in this episode of the guide a I think

We’re going to go exploring we we need to find a new vase location now I’d like to be clear there’s nothing against this area right I love the cave Basin we definitely will be coming back to it I’m not done with it by any means and we’re

Not moving today today is not moving day but it is scouting day so the plan for today’s episode is to explore the world around us and find the exact spot that I would like to settle down long-term at least for this first part of of the guide series or or whichever whatever

You’d like to call it so a lots of exploration today I hope you guys enjoy it I have some fun stuff in mind and I’m very excited to see what our seat is like what the world is like and and everything like that now before we go

Exploring we do need to collect up some things there is that little exploration checklist that I went over and whatever other episode we explored and but basically we need a bed we need a map we should probably bring a cartography table this time because I’m considering

Possibly going off of the map that I’m currently on which means we also need to carry a little bit of redstone so maybe a block and iron we we have the iron but I should be smelting up the other iron so there we go we’ll throw that in there

A bed a map a table all of this stuff and I I honestly think that’s I’m sure it’s not i I bet you I will I will get away from my vase and realize something but it’s okay so I think to begin our journey today

I’d like to go out a little north so a little back that way and then and then over that way into the center of the map if you see my pointer in the bottom corner I think that’s the way to go oh oh oh and you may be wondering about

This I made a little dirt staircase up here to get some grass in here I saw a few comments from you guys saying wattles tried dry grass in here and I think that could be a good idea I I’m not sure why I didn’t think about that

At first but yeah so I am letting the grass go up here and then I’ll mess with it a little later on but yeah basically that’s what that is this isn’t permanent or anything like that but anyways we need the sugarcane and then let’s start exploring a little bit before I do what

I’m thinking about now ideally I’d like to not be on the edge of a map when we settle down I like the idea of being more central on this map and that is why I’d like to head towards the middle of this map because you see when we’re in the middle

Of a map I can make you know like the second level zoomed out er or something like that and I don’t know it’s just a really random small thing that doesn’t have much of a just solid reasoning behind it that I’d like to to do so

We’ll go up a little bit I think probably like this and then start heading over we need an area in the world that is inspirational yeah I will know what the area is once I see it I think location is everything when you are making a base if you settle down and

You start to set up a base where you’re not really inspired you’ll get tired of it and you’ll want to move and that is exactly what I’m trying to avoid I really would love to find the perfect area so I’m inspired the more that I’m inspired the cooler the projects will be

And the more fun the series will probably be too but I I do need to collect up some things on the way over there because I would like to start a comment of the day wall and to do that I need books so I can write the comments

Down in books that’s how I think I’d like to do it this time around in season two I did nuggets in season one way way a long time ago I did signs and I think this is the time that we do books and this is like a squid farm in here this

Is crazy I just watched more spawn in front of us like I may need to remember this anyways getting back on oh oh oh my we were getting back on track well I guess this is but hello village number two are you better than then the

You were impressed with me I think some grindstones cool cool what do we have oh oh wow you know we’re probably going to have to just come back to this village for the loot I didn’t really want to to fill up my inventory quite yet I don’t know how far we’re going to

Go and I need storage space right so who are you weaponsmith you have the chance of trading a bell don’t you hmm I I could do this there’s no way we could level him up though let’s not let’s not well we’ll wait but I’d like to whoa we we

Already do have a bell I guess so hmm guess I don’t need one here’s more paper though and the sticks of this time cool we almost have enough well actually we do have enough for a new map hey little guy what are you doing just running around okay um let’s see if

There’s anything else cool over here lots of sheep I will be sharing them but I’m doing something else right now so there’s two now we’ll have to come back for the Sheep but I think these are for the most part oh this is something or maybe it’s just a small house

Are these all small houses I think these are all small houses this is a large town though ah you are the leather whoa oh oh oh I apologize and you know what oh you’re already in bed do the kids go to bed sooner our li ER than they and then the

Grown-ups we’re gonna be that guy and send everybody inside though I don’t I’d like them to be indoors at nighttime oh that’s a bunny okay all right so we’ll remember the village it’s it’s just north of our base pretty much but it’s time to carry on ooh an

Ocean awesome uh wherever we settle down I’d love to have a little bit of ocean access that could be kind of cool I think but not in an ocean season two was all about building underwater in that whole little series we built a base completely submerged it was like a city

I guess underwater and I’m done with the water I I had a little too much of it and and I don’t like the idea of going near it that’s not to say we won’t set up like an outpost or something like that but but yeah but anyways I think

What I’m going to do here is cut to a little time lapse so on Twitter I put out a tweet asking for some questions from you guys because a lot of you asked me to do a Q&A time-lapse and so that is exactly what we’re going to do I put a

Tweet out asking for some questions and I am going to pick some of those questions and talk about those while I wander around I’m just going to cut the wandering up a little bit and do a little music then in a little bit of a time-lapse so here we go

Not very well I’ve got to say though I really enjoy making redstone doors redstone doors are really fun to do especially those 3×3 spiral ones I really enjoy doing those and I do plan on building some of those eventually in this series in this world somewhere and also some redstone controlled farms I

Really do enjoy doing that as well so farms and doors not that that narrows it down any blocks 30 asks do I have any tips on where to get building inspiration yes I do you can find a lot of inspiration either on YouTube and videos or on Google

A cool feature and more of a behind-the-scenes thing but the cauldron water I love some diable culture and water ray asks if I had to remove one hostile mob which would I pick and why I would certainly pick diary diorite is just dangerous to humanity as a whole

Is already in pre-releases and and it’s fixed in in that version of the game but this is like really rough like I don’t know I’m sure you noticed from some of the time-lapse footage but it’s it’s very difficult to explore when your world you know doesn’t load and you know

That happens it’s like I’m on a really like it like a laggy server or something which is just really weird you know because I’m in single-player like this isn’t a server or anything but let’s go ahead and take a look at the village I think I haven’t I

As to where I’d like to live and this is actually pretty close to it so well let’s look at the village first and then we’ll talk about the base so a really cool village I love how now it’s on the mountain and everything this would be nearly impossible to defend though like

From a raid hmm and emerald for six Brad I don’t know if that’s it what do we have in here this is a stonecutter building okay I’ll probably come back and take like the clay and stuff from those buildings because I mean they don’t need to clay right we have an iron

Golem of course some some unemployed villagers or many unemployed for elders a bell – I don’t really need the bell though leather workers nice nice emeralds ooh I those are mine now guys sorry I’m stealing those what do we have over here a book I mean the book is okay but I

Don’t really need it so we’ll just leave it uh-ho some cats um I wasn’t prepared for that we need to make like a fish farm or something like an some kind of way to get fish you know a blast furnace cool cool cool we already have one of those

Though lots of hay bales which of course I can come back and take and I probably will I’ll probably come back and loot a lot of these villages after the fact just because my inventory is starting to crowd up I and you know at this point I

Don’t think I will fill it up actually but it’s just getting full and I’d rather not you know rip all the hay bales out right now when I can come back and get them later is this uh oh this is a stable that’s what it is okay we really need a saddle

Is there any way to get a saddle in any of these villages I feel like there is but I can’t remember if I could get a saddle that would be amazing because then I could have you know done the solo exploration adventure on horse and things would have gone way faster

Not that it’s a problem there’s something about exploring in Minecraft that I love it’s like calming you know and just kind of cool to look at the generation and everything mmm we need to zombie farm to utilize those guys and I I don’t think there’s anything up top so

Carrying back oh my gosh there’s another one I didn’t see that but our base location I’m thinking and this is a big thing I’d like to do a little bit more exploration before we we put our flag down over here but I I think I like this

Plains biome over here like a it’s pretty basic I hear skeletons hmm oh just one it’s a pretty basic biome right like the plains and everything but I I’m feeling kind of inspired and and that’s the important thing like I was mentioning earlier you need

To feel inspired when you set up a base otherwise things will will not work out in the long run right I’m just trying to fill the map and that’s what I’m doing over here but in this Plains biome like if we do this and then take a look at the map we

Have a two ocean well one ocean access point and then one and I’m pointing at it with my pointer now that way on the map is a swamp biome and then over there is the ocean so I kind of like that idea we could do like canals or something

Connecting everything and and yeah I’m still not 100% decided on the basis like style like if I’m going to do a future or like a sky base or or what I’m going to do but I think this could be a cool location I just need to explore to the

North a little bit and see what we have we unfortunately don’t have a lot of biodiversity in this area it’s really just forests Plains mountains and the snowy Tundra or taiga which isn’t really anything special considering we have a giant taiga forest to the south that we are

Currently living by but let’s see what this village has to offer uh-huh more emeralds very nice seven no I think we can actually make a block if we were back at our base our ravine just a small one but but a ravine and there’s a house over there but we want to go

Around this way and take a look at most of the village it looks like most of the town is over here you are a cartographer ah cool so I could trade all of my emeralds right now for an empty map that’s deal or not I think there’s a little bit

Of a ripoff a little baby guy cool cool and no chests in this one that’s like just tons of small houses that’s a bummer I mean there’s there was the one chest but here’s the second one some empty maps actually I will I will take those and a steak

I don’t need the bread then over here anything nope not really okay so not much here Oh what is that building is that a that’s not a farmer house is it I think it’s just a small house again right yeah small house mushroom okay so here’s the plan I continue exploring

Around this area and see what it’s like it looks like there’s just lots of snow I would build in the snow biome or a snowy biome but I I think the snow would get really annoying and just wouldn’t be fun but I think I need to head back over

To the ocean and explore that way because running on foot gets a little old to be honest it especially what I’m eating berries oh yeah I’m trying to use these up before I switch over to the steaks so that’s kind of what I’m doing with that Oh an iceberg biome that’s

Really cool so a frozen ocean mmm-hmm we will be coming back here for packed ice once we get into big roads and stuff like that but I I think I’m a little too curious I I’d like to go off of this map and see what we have over

This way because you know on second thought yeah I do like that one location but I I’m not a big fan of the surrounding area and you know it would be very very helpful to have like a desert or or something else nearby that isn’t just a forest because we can set

Up tree farms that’s not a problem but we can’t really set up a sand farm so I I think what we’re going to do is let’s fill this in and then go back over there I think that’s the best way to do it no okay so a little bit of time later we

Have pretty much that whole ocean area filled in now so I I kind of know what’s going on unfortunately there wasn’t any sort of like a ocean monument or anything cool out there it’s literally just an open ocean and that is why I think it’s time to head out and cross

The ocean but let’s talk a little bit about map making so to make the next map first you’ll want to make sure on your current map you are a square like I currently am just like that then usually I recommend heading out words like towards where the new map is going to be

Just a little bit more just you know to be safe and then I I think we want to throw our cartography table down grab an empty map take a look at it so there we go and then go into this table and expand the map a whole bunch so there we go

I don’t know if we have to keep looking at it but I I think I will just to be safe right like I don’t really want to waste paper here so here we go and then one more I think for a fully expanded map perfect okay so now we have the new

Map we can store our old one up there I will bring this with me and I think it’s time to explore a little bit more that I just wasn’t too happy with that one location on second thought so let’s try this we’ll sail and follow the the

Coastline here and see what we have if we could move this way um that would be kind of nice because it would be a bit of a shorter move so we’ll see if we can find something a little more good perfect for what we’re looking for you

Know looking around the world and the map it seems that this is going to be a pretty big ocean and I’m not sure if it’s honestly worth the time to cross it so we’re going to actually go south and make another map because this is land

And it’s like a play inspire thats kind of what I’m looking for this isn’t quite it but it’s almost there’s you know at this point I’m just kind of filling in maps I just wanted to cut back in and let you know I’m I I just

Really want to find the right area but that’s a little dangerous that’s an ocean monument we’ll definitely know a lot more about those later on but yeah it’s basically it’s kind of dangerous so we are going to keep sailing but it’s that’s it’s kind of close uh-huh

I like the looks of that I have my two maps out because I’m sailing like right near the border of them but I see I see hmm well we’ll be coming back for that you know I I think I may have actually just found our area I wasn’t planning on

Doing a forest biome base but I I think I like everything about this area we are towards the middle of a map we have ocean access I just went by you know that dark oak forest biome and a swamp and I I don’t know I I think this might

Be the area is that a warm ocean over there it is it is the lighter colored water is a warm ocean ooh I really like that this might be it this might be the perfect spot oh wow that looks amazing the coral out there Wow and and then

Once the rendering issues are fixed I I can up the render or the view distance and oh wow this might be it I think we found our house because I can rip down this whole forest and build whatever I need in here we could do bridges going across in here if we did

Like a town and oh wow all of the coral the ship – I think this is too cool to pass up and we’re kind of secluded to we’re on the it seems like a peninsula or an island so I think this might be it I I think I really like this location

We’re gonna plan on doing this one let’s see negative 1,400 negative 400 okay that’s that’s pretty easy to remember awesome now I think I need to head back to my base because I I think I love this area this is really really cool especially with the coral all right

Base location found for now ah finally ohms wheat home so we are actually going to be pretty close to where where we currently are of course there’s our mountain base and then the other base is just pretty much a straight line back that way lots of water too which means

We can just sail back and forth which is even faster than running but I I think that’s a pretty successful adventure exploration thing if you ask me I’m very very excited to build near that coral biome the journey certainly took a whole lot longer than I thought it would sorry

About that I hope you guys didn’t mind but next episode we will be back to building now I’d like to come back in here and add some sea grass that I picked up from the ocean because a lot of you guys said waddles the kelp alone

Is just not the best look and you know I agree I think sea grass could get mixed in here as well to make that whole area look even more alive in a way but I I think that’s just about it oh and lily pads too I got some of these

I’m sure you guys will be happy to see this so there we go just a few lily pads in the pond as well but let’s go ahead and come back up here place our cartography table down and of course make I think two more frames so

We can place our maps on the wall so one two there we go and then it should go like that I think that should be the order because we have this map down there then we have this map right here and then finally that map right there that looks sad just about perfect

To me so that’s our new base location that we will be moving to very soon and then this is our current one but before we move we definitely need to finish up this area so I will be kind of waiting around off camera over here finishing
