EPIC Minecraft Battleship Tutorial: Master the MC Iowa Class!

Welcome back guys to the Minecraft military force and today we’re going to take a look at the Iowa class Battleship and this is a USS Wisconsin during World War II it’s in the measure 22 camouflage and it is designed by vayne shinden so thanks him for making this video

Photo Recreation Contest video which you can see with its Collision incident with USS Eaton but I’ve been in contact with him to rework it to make it for World War II and make things more accurate than the version that you had before so um yeah this is the final product and

Also special thanks to zykjrix for helping with the whole he fixed it a little bit but yeah let’s go take a look at this build alright so let’s start here from the front with a bow where we have the two anchors one on on each side

Hole here in the middle got a flag as well as these anti-aircraft guns now this ship has two types of anti-aircraft guns one are the bofors which are the 40 millimeter and the other one is the 20 millimeter now I’m guessing these smaller ones by itself it’s probably the

20 millimeter and there’s 49 of them and the for the bofors there are 80 of them and the bofors they probably will combine the guns together so like this one might be like two of them or four of them I’m not sure because it is Minecraft though but yeah we have a lot

Of these anti-aircraft gun nests to shoot down enemy aircraft and then we have these big boys these are the 16 inch guns the Iowa class Battleship has none of them three of them per turn and then right over here on the side we have some of these winches which I believe

That’s what it is but they are asymmetrical so like two on one side they’re the none on the other side and then this one it’s not going to be the same so they are all a little bit different then on the side we have a ladder some lifeboats and this thing

That’s sticking out this is actually a range finder and it measures the distance between remote object and it helps fire it and aim it then behind we got some more anti-aircraft guns right here another one of these turrets now this turn is different and I was actually confused on what this box is

Actually for but it turns out it is a gun director for the bofors that are on this so this is like a turret on top of a turret so that’s kind of funny but yeah they help with that and apparently they were used in World War II uh even

The USS Iowa had one on its back to rent not all turrets will have it though and behind we have the captain’s Bridge up here and the Admirals Bridge here on this side then we have some more machine gun turrets there’s like two levels to

This deck so this is like the main deck area and then we have the secondary level and then there’s like all these layers on top then we have these five inch guns there’s actually two of them per turret so there is 20 of them in total and 10 turrets gonna be five on

This side and five on the other side so yeah there is a ton of them then down here we got a Lifeboat and then over here a lot of these anti-aircraft guns more anti-aircraft guns even more up over here with bofors yeah you can tell

There’s just a ton of like any part of the deck they have anti-aircraft guns pretty much just a shoot down enemy planes cause planes were kind of dangerous to ships and then we have some of these exhausts there’s like two of them here very large smokestacks here’s

What it looks like on this side over here we have like the fire control system or like gun director that’s what I believe it is maybe Radars something there’s like a lot of mechanisms here and I am not by any means educated in like World War II ship Anatomy yeah I

I’ve learned a lot of things actually just like making this video and then here we got the American flag go America TNT and then we got some stairs or ladders here on the side um and another anti-aircraft Gun Nest um and then Fire Control range finder

Gun director here bofors and this is the rear turret yeah and then of course this turn is different from the other turns because the winches are in different places yet again I don’t know why they put in different places let me know in the comments if you actually do and then

We have some more anti-aircraft gun nests right here right in the middle and then in the back we got a crane now this crane is you can see Coast Guard ship in the background this crane is for carrying uh aircraft I believe they’re like seaplanes they launch on the

Carrier in World War II we don’t have any planes right now but I guess you could add them after you have built them in even more anti-aircraft guns nests over here these ones actually stick out a little bit out in the hole and here’s what it looks like out of water because

We need to also show you what looks like underneath the water surface because there is some details there so we got like the Rudders we got the propellers it’s actually a very nice design and yeah there’s like four propellers and here’s the ship hole and there are also these stabilizers here

On sides I remember when I had no idea why people would add that but it is for the ship to remain upright or in stable position um but yeah that should be pretty much it for the ship this is definitely not going to be an easy tutorial it’s going

To be very long and painful but at the end I think it would be worth it because it’s a really cool ship a lot of people have been requesting this over time and actually won the recent poll so if you guys appreciate Vine shinden’s work and

Gonna do for this tutorial we’re gonna be splitting it off into uh segments and and the first part we’re just going to be focusing on basically the whole which is the stuff below the water line and for the water line we’re going to start it off with this red thing this will be

Placed in the water and the black parts will be above it so yeah we’re gonna be building this whole bottom section all right so to get start you’ll need water I assume you’re building this in water and again like I said this is gonna be where the water line is so imagine a

Bucket of water right there okay it’s actually not even falling this gravity um but you’ll basically need like 14 blocks of water it’s going to be in there all right so first off we’re gonna take out red terracotta and we’re going to make this line remember this is like where the water is

And then we’re gonna make this 13 blocks tall all right just like that 13 and then we’re gonna make it indent here and then we’ll make another red terracotta in this part it’s going to be all the way across 277 blocks so I repeat 277 277 like that

And then we’re to go directly up at a red terracotta 10 so 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. and then we’d go up eight one two three four five six seven eight now you want this eight block wide segment so there’s

Gonna be nine of them in total this is just the first one so I’m gonna make um eight more of them so first first one go dagley up another one so that’s two and it’s going to be three four five six seven and then eight like that and then the

Last one over here could do another one so that’s gonna be nine so one two three four five six seven eight nine and this one’s just gonna be the ten one all right so after that we’re gonna add in nine blocks long so one two three four

Five six seven eight nine all right once we have that we’re gonna do this uh three times so this is the first one and we’ll do another one here so second one and then third one like that so it’s going to be three of these nine blocks

Wide and then we’re gonna switch it up to black wool and we’re gonna add in three one two three I’m going to add in two one two and we’re gonna add in one like that and then I’m gonna switch it up to say Yan terracotta I’m going to add in two blocks tall

Then we have three blocks tall and dangly up one just like that I said we’re just doing the bottom half uh we did a little bit of the top half all right so now I’m going to add in this red line right underneath the black line so go in the front here

I’m gonna make this red terracotta so it’s seven blocks long then go to go daily outwards and I’m going to add in eight long all right then we’re gonna add in a daggle again and then again eight and then diagonal again and this time it’s going to be six six like that

And we actually want 11 of these sixes so this is just the first one so you want 11 of these so this is the first one and then we’ll add in the second one here third one like that fourth one and then fifth one six seven eight nine ten

And then last one 11. all right all right so after the loved one we’re gonna make this go vertical down and that’s gonna be 13 blocks so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen and would it make it indent I’m gonna make this 13 that

Way so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and then the last one should be 13 in the middle if you’ve done this correctly and I have also marked in the whole the real one so this is what we’re building this place

So let’s go here in the front and we’re just gonna go here skip two blocks add red terracotta 13 blocks long so 13 like that and then we’re going to add in 9 so 9 here and then for the next one I’m going to add another nine

And then after that would add in three sevens so it’s going to be a first seven and then second one and then the third one just like that and then we’re gonna add in five sixes so it’s gonna be first six and then the second one third one fourth one

And then the fifth one which is the last one that would go deadly and would add in four one two three and that last one should be four connecting with that if you’ve done everything correctly all right then we’ll take out right there I’ve gotta go here skip a block add in one

Gallery up add another one sticking out then we’re going to add in two blocks tall so one two then we’re going to add in three one two three and then I’m gonna add in five one two three four and the last one is five there so it should look like this

And next one let’s go here and we’re gonna add in four so after this one so it’s gonna be one two three four like that can you see four of them don’t count this one Pretend This one doesn’t exist before like that I’m going to add in one

Add another one and then we’d add two blocks tall and then we’ll add an eight blocks also one two three four five six seven and that’s eight all right so let’s go on the next one after this we’re gonna add in five so one two three four five blocks wide and

Then added one I’m going to add in three blocks tall one two three I’m gonna add eight blocks tall one two three four five six seven and that’s eight all right next one let’s go down here again and we’re gonna add in four so one two three four and then we’re gonna add

In two wide so one two like that we would add one and then I’m going to add in 10 going all the way up so two three four five six seven eight nine and that’s ten all right next one let’s go down here and we’re gonna add it so it’s six so

One two three four five six and after that’s going to be one and after that’s gonna be eleven tall so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and that’s eleven all right so the next one here we’d add in six so one two three four five six

I’m gonna add in two one two I’m going to add in six blocks tall one two three four five six and then this time is different we’re actually going to go in the other direction and I’m gonna add it so it’s five one two three four and that’s five

Just like that then we’re gonna fill in the inside of all these with red terracotta so just fill it in all right so once they filled it in it should look like this and again I marked it off where we are at in the hole so let’s

Keep where I’m working on it so let’s go down here and next one’s going to be six wide so one two three four five six and I’m gonna add three wide one two three I’m gonna add one then we’re gonna add in three blocks tall so one two three I’m going to

Inverse add in two add another two add in three one two and that’s three like that all right next layer go over here I’m gonna add in five whites one two three four five and then we’ll have four wide one two three four then we’d add four blocks tall one two three four

That inverse three one two three and then two and then two at the top like that all right next one let’s go down here again and we’d add in five so one two three four five then we got three wide one two three then we’re going to add in one

Then I’m going to add three blocks tall one two three and then we’re gonna inverse and add in two I’m going to add in one and I’m going to add in two and then we’re gonna add in another two like that that’s the last one and then next one let’s go over here

Add in seven wide one two three four five six seven and then we’re gonna add in three wide one two three and I’m going to add in 2y 1 and 2. now we’re to keep on the same block like right on top of this and we’re going to

Make this like three blocks tall so one two three then we’re going to inverse and go do six then we’re gonna inverse and do one six times so it’s going to be one two three four five six and then we’ll add in two blocks so if you did that correctly

And then we’re gonna fill all this in with again all right so once you filled it in here I marked where we are again so let’s work on the first bit here so go here and get add in seven wide so one two three four five six seven

And then we’re going to add four wide one two three four and we’ll add in three blocks tall one two three then we’re gonna inverse and we’re gonna add in one and then we’re gonna add in two going sideways that and then we’re gonna add in one at two sideways again

And then we’re gonna add in one and it’s gonna be four times so one two three and that’s four like that all right next layer is going to be seven wide again so one two three four five six seven and then we’ll add in three y so one two three then we add

Three blocks tall one two three and go to inverse add in two so one and this is going to be sideways two like that and then we’re going to add in one another one and then two and then one four times so one two three and that’s four

All right now let’s move on to the last one here so go right over here add in so it’s like two wide and then we’re gonna use the same one and make that two blocks tall like that so it’s like an L shape then go over here add in four tall so

One two three four then go inverse add in two two blocks tall like that and then we’re gonna go diagonally and we’ll add in two on the sideways so two like that and then we’d go up and added one four times so one two three and that’s four like that

I’m going to fill in the inside of this with red terracotta all right so once you’ve filled it in it should be looking like this all right so now that we’re gonna work on this section here so let’s go over here and we’re going to add an additional three

One two three to same layer I’m going to go daily and add in seven just like that I’m going to add in another seven here and then we’ll add in another seven and then we’ll add in six one two three four five six and then another seven he had again

Like that and then we’ll add in this one it’s going to be nine blocks long so nine and then we’ll add in 11 9 11 of course magical numbers it’s uh all right after we do that I’m gonna go um dag me out I’m gonna add in

So it’s like two blocks wide like that and dangly out we’ll add in four blocks tall so it’s gonna be on the same block actually so one two three four then directly out eight so one two three four five six seven eight and then daily out would add in one

Just like that and I marked it out where we are in the actual build all right next we’re going to go over here to this part and we’re going to add it so this part is two blocks wide like that and then dangly up three so one two three and we have two

Deadly up another two belly up another two down dialing up one would do that six times so one two three four five six and then we’re gonna go a daily ups and two blocks tall like that okay so next layer will go down underneath here and including this block

We’ll make it 10 blocks long so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten I’m gonna go daily up three and then then we have two another two and then we’re gonna go up one and do that seven times so one two three four five six seven

I’m gonna add two blocks tall just like that to end it off it should be the same height all right and then let’s go to the next one and it’s going to go over here and I’m going to edit so seven wide so one two three four five six seven

And then we’d add two blocks wide and then we’ll add another two then we’d add in one and this time we’ll do it eight times so one two three four five six seven eight and then we’ll add in two blocks tall right here at the end

All right next one we’ll go down here and I’m going to add in four wide so one two three four and I’m gonna add in two I’m going to add another two I’m going to add one and do this five times so one two three four and five

Then we’ll add in two blocks tall here I’m gonna add in one and then another two blocks tall just like that and then where to actually connect all these parts together so just go in a single line just extend it out until reach diagonal to the next block like this all of them

Well the one in the back there’s actually another curve here that we didn’t add yet so this one would just make it so it’s going to be uh eight blocks long so one two three four five six seven eight go dagley out and add a nine one two three four five six seven

Eight nine and should line up just like that then we’re gonna go down to this point here and add one sticking out and we’re just gonna go diagonally out straight up just like this you don’t have to think about it zigzag all the way up like that cool

All right next up we’re going to fill in the inside of this with red terracotta all right so once you’ve filled it in it should be looking like this go into the next segment here and we’re going to add in four so one two three four two

I’m going to add in one five times so one two three four five I’m gonna add two blocks tall another two and another two and that should be it next one I’m going to add in four one two three four then we’re going to add in two

One two I don’t know why I deleted that and then we’re gonna add in one three times so one two three I’m gonna add two blocks tall I’m gonna add in one and then I’m going to add in two blocks I’m gonna add two blocks tall and then we’ll add another two blocks

Tall and would add in one like that X1 is going to be four blocks wide one two three four I’m gonna add in two I’m gonna add in one and then we’re gonna add in two blocks tall here and we’ll do that five times so one two three four 5 like that

Last one here we’d add in three I’m going to add in two and then add in one another one and then three blocks tall and then daily up three and then daily up three blocks all like that all right so after that let’s go on top here and would

Extend it so that they go up to the diagonal of the next block right on top and then we’ll fill in the inside and by the way when you reach up to this point just make this part go all the way across uh just like that and then fill in the

Rest of it all right so once we filled it in it should be looking like this now we got their first quadrant all right so after that we’re gonna move on to the next section we’re gonna end right there so let’s go back over here and we’re gonna make this part so it’s

Going to be 10 blocks long then the next part we’re gonna make it 66 blocks along so 66 just like that after we do that we’re gonna make this go down at 10 blocks 10 blocks tall like that and then we’re gonna go down and add in two

And then we’ll go inward diagonally and add another two and then inwards again I’m going to make this 21 blocks long so it should go all the way back down to the edge here and that should be 21 blocks if you did it correctly this middle part’s 21

Blocks up into the middle point all right so next up let’s go down here and then go dagley here and then we want to extend this point so it goes all the way across over there and it should if you’re doing this correctly line up with the other

Side just like that we don’t go overboard yet um so it lines up with that bottom block if you did it correctly all right so now I’m going to go up to uh this slope over here in the middle sort of yeah and uh we’re gonna add in two daily down

So two like that too wide and then three and we’ll add in six one two three four five six go down and the last one it’s actually going to go all the way across in a straight line I have to think about this one just like that so it lines up with the

Edge there all right so the next slope is going to be right over here we’re going to add 1 but it’s going to be five times so it’s going to be like one two three four five like that and then we’ll add in two blocks wide then we’ll add another two

And we’ll add in three then we’ll add in four one two three four and then seven one two three four five six seven then go daily down and then this one it actually goes all the way across just like we did before cool all right then the next one could be

Right over here remember just skip this top one and we’d add in one here I’m gonna add in two blocks wide I’m going to add in one and then we’re gonna add in uh three blocks one two three and then another three and then five one two three four five

And then six one two three four five six and then ten one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and then we’ll go down one and we’re gonna make this go all the way across line up to the edge which it should just like that and then we’ll go back

Over here and then we’ll extend this Red Dirt got all the way across uh to the edge as well apparently because that is the same I don’t know yeah don’t make it stick out yet all right and then we’re gonna fill in the insides of this

All right so once we have filled it in it should be looking like this now we’re halfway with the hole so yeah I think that’s pretty much it for part one my throw is pretty uh exhausted and I need to go eat dinner man but we’ve done a

Lot of work with like halfway of the whole Hull is to be honest for me it’s the hardest part of the tutorial uh since it’s very easy to go wrong and I’ve actually had to re-record some part in the front and I realized it’s actually better and for you and me to do

The holes not just in like all one big layer but actually divide it like this quadrant here this quadrant that quadrant so it is easier to catch up if you made like any mistakes you’ll know early on rather than later on the tutorial be like oh no this thing this
