Going to be relevant to probably all of your worlds um but it’s um something I tagged a few of the developers on that um I think are you know very good at Community uh communication and even if they tell you that like you know maybe I don’t work with this

Particular thing but I can tell the person it does or they’ll let you know that this isn’t possible or not on the um this is not on like the docket of things for us to do because of this reason like I love the communication even if I don’t

Get the answer that I want um it’s always nice to hear them kind of talk about these things but here we go so um I’ll zoom in for you guys so you can kind of see it so um basically it’s a conversation about villager mechanics right and how I

Kind of explain how they’re broken so this is me kind of just like reaching out to them right so villagers have a very limited detection radius especially when it comes to beds they can detect a bed plus or minus four blocks vertically and I believe 16 blocks horizontally so

Here let me show you guys let me hop into the guide world or the harder core world real quick right so if we hop on here this is really important stuff and I think it’s good stuff for you guys to know um but like if we go up here and we take

A look at our village that we’re working with you see we have a lot of vertical height differences right so like we have a profession block all the way down there uh we have some up in this area somewhere right and then like we have houses with beds here houses with beds

Over there houses with beds up there over here over here and they’re all on these different like vertical axis axes so one of the things that’s going to frequently happen in a in a place like this is these villagers like our buddy Jimmy here they’re gonna come around and

They’re gonna go to their profession block they’re gonna go to this like little Central area to meet and then once they go down there they can no longer detect that that house up there is my house because that’s where the bed is that I’m linked to therefore they

Will never go back up there again also they change then what bed they’re linked to he may decide to link to the bed in there or fight a villager for another bed somewhere else when that happens they start to also Shuffle profession blocks so that’s why somebody like Jimmy

Who I was used to seeing here um k-stack remember for three months three months on YouTube membership but a long time member yes thank you so much k-stack I appreciate it at that stone tier Stone tier is the way to go everybody to get you access to Eternia

Which is my like higher tier member server but anyways that’s why that’s why we don’t see um Jimmy working here anymore because he switched profession blocks what also ends up happening is eventually you end up with villagers that just don’t go to certain areas like you won’t have villagers come

Up here too frequently right I think I think the one this guy right here kind of gets stuck up here because he doesn’t have a profession block so luckily he stays but you won’t have villagers frequent up there or go to their beds up there also I believe that half of our

Village is completely empty because the villagers are getting more than that distance away from the beds because of other like factors here and they end up not being able to link or stay linked to these um these beds looks like we do have one guy

Here which is good but he is not within a range to detect the beds so also what may happen is you may have somebody that stays over here because he’s with his profession block but he doesn’t know that the beds are up here unless he just

Happens to wander up here so when it turns night time he’s probably gonna stay out he’s probably not going to go to bed because he doesn’t know the bed exists anymore hopefully that makes sense I’m getting spoilers right now I’m so lost I’m gonna get back to work Moon’s just been

Keeping up with the series via editing so that’s kind of like her life right now um so here let me go back to the tweet I’m gonna kind of skim through it I’m not gonna read the whole thing but that’s like that’s one of the cruxes of my like issue

Um so I this the next few tweets can’t tweet tweets kind of explains all of that um so also due to how profession blocks work if you wanted to use profession block somewhere let’s say you have an area not accessible to villagers we have a cauldron a stone cutters some blast furnaces Etc

Um villagers can detect them and change to those professions while ignoring profession blocks they are able to get to and this also applies to um things like oh let’s get these uh pumpkins here um things like uh profession blocks you may use to decorate I know a lot of you probably

Have used barrels to decorate in your world and maybe other things too right maybe Fletching tables maybe cartography tables whatever lecterns you may use these as decorations somewhere in your world um the grindstone’s a popular one but if you do that the villagers as they Shuffle jobs around they’re going to

Link to those so what you may end up seeing at some point is we’re gonna have like a leather worker that somehow has found its way down here I think we had one the other day I don’t know if he’s still down here or not um but may find this cauldron or linked

To this cauldron down here and he either may not know how to get to it so he’s just gonna kind of like stand above this area like right above here because that’s the closest he can get to The Cauldron or if he makes his way down here and gets in here

He may not leave the area and he’ll be stuck down here but the villagers they can link to those or um if we have a stone cutter down here for us to use to like make stairs and slabs or if we make barrels like put barrels elsewhere

Um those villagers they may link to those things and unlink from you know the composter they were because I wanted them to be a farmer or whatever so super annoying um lastly I’m sorry I’ve been ignoring your chats I’ll be I’ll be to it in a second

Um lastly I had a recommendation on that that Twitter thread um I’m going to I’m going to close the window out now you guys can go see the thread if you like to um but my suggestion was they go one of two routes you either make it to where you

Can link a villager to a bed in a profession block um manually so like let’s say I want this Village to link to this bed I would essentially be able to break this bed let’s say I could shift click it on him or something of that nature now this bed

Would be linked to this villager if I place it down no matter where he goes that’s his bed that’s it like he will if he goes way over there he goes way down there whatever he will remember this is my bed and when it turns nighttime he’ll

Come back here same with the profession block like if I broke that shift clicked it on the Villager right here and place it back down he would always and forever be linked to that block until I like break it and place it down again or something

That don’t know programming don’t understand um if that’s too difficult let me do something like name this profession block something like if I put any kind of name on it on Anvil then maybe maybe this guy can’t link to it anymore and then I could use this as a

Decoration somewhere don’t have to worry about it being linked to but I like the I like the first um the first solution I provided a little bit better because it just makes it easy shift click bam that’s his wherever I place it down that’s his until it’s broken

But how would that work for consoles so shift clicking just means you’re crouching right so if I take this bed and I’m crouching crouching down and I click on the Villager bam it would it would it wouldn’t pull up the interface anymore right you just have to regular click to pull up the

Interface um it would link him and then I would go in here and I would place the bed down and now that would be his bed that’s it that’s his bed he will always know where it is but if I break it and place it again it’s no longer his bed because I

Broke it I took it up so super easy to make it to where a villager is not linked to it anymore you’d have to do anything special you just break it and place it again that’s how if if I if I could dictate how it was done I think that’s how I

Would have it done because then it is it would then be incredibly easy to link any villager with anything you wanted to um and then at that point maybe they ignored the other rules like I said earlier like they can only detect the bed if they’re plus or minus four blocks

Above or below but maybe if they’re permanently linked even if he goes all the way down here even though he’s more than four blocks vertically from it maybe he could still detect it that’d be super cool and then so see the big thing to you

Guys if you do that is like then you can assign like I can I can say that that’s Jimmy’s house and that would always be Jimmy’s house um do I have oh hold on I gotta move my screen over there we go um oh gosh

Um and I could always have that by the farm that he works at I could put a I could make this blacksmith I could I could set a bed and at blacksmith somewhere for the blacksmith to live and then he would always return to here and that would always be Carl the

Blacksmith’s house or whatever it is you wouldn’t have to worry about them shifting around going to different places then your Villages actually become villages anyways it’d be super cool we chitchatted a little bit on that but I wanted to share a little bit with you guys Um tiger didn’t ask do you care if you watch on YouTube or twitch this morning I can watch on either so like I really never care which one you guys watch when you watch on whichever one you enjoy the experience on better or is easier for you um

The the biggest benefit the only real big benefit to you watching on YouTube for you is if gifted memberships get handed out um you’re gonna you’re gonna be able to to get one that’s the big benefit for you guys um would we say it would make iron farm

So much easier to build it would just make everything better like yes it would make villager based um like technical things easier whether it be Iron Farms or trading halls or breeders it would make all of those easier and it would make using either like generated Villages like these easier or

It would make making your own Villages easier it would just make everything a lot easier I would love to see that like it would be honestly I’m not kidding with this it would be one of the biggest and best things they ever added to Minecraft I’m really I’m not I’m not

Like exaggerating that I think it would because it would affect all players in a very positive way and really change how everybody is able to do things in their world hey demolish how’s it going so anyways let’s move on to what we’re doing today um today’s stream I think will be a

What I want to do is like give the path like little areas where it just looks wider or it maybe more specifically it kind of like has little spots where it fans out some now again I don’t know how good it’s going to look so let’s just like do this

Little stretch first right and I don’t know how much of it we should be doing either so we’re gonna experiment a little bit oh nope I did not no I did not mean to use this I wanted to put this here this here this here this here

And then what we’re going to do is areas where we kind of fan out like that a little bit and some of those spots that’s what we’re going to use to kind of like allow the um the pathing here to kind of come inwards like this

And it’s just adding like just a touch more like detail to what we have going on here what do you guys how do you guys feel I think I like it I think it’s worth continuing and like sometimes too like you have it like kind of like just little like bits

And pieces here and there that stick out a little bit further maybe not too often that they go out that far Bricks look too structured out that far okay foreign ow my knee just popped um I thought there was an option in the diamond store to name a mod villager but I can’t find it there should be it’s not in the harder core section okay stack it’s like up towards the top I’ll

Make sure it’s turned on give me a second proud of you have ours to sit in your family because you’ve been so darn lucky finding things right away in this hardcore yeah real that has been lucky a few Stone instead of bricks on the edge it might look a bit worn and maybe

I have another idea we can try to find a good area where I can easily like represent it all right there’s not really a lot of like good straight stretches here which is good means that everything’s very interesting maybe like this area right here um so instead of what we did over there

This is gonna be so hard to to do a b because they’re not right beside each other let’s do here I’m gonna like build a separate path over here and that way you guys can kind of see Okay so like if I just dig a little like it’s just like a little example path okay okay so option b is like every so often we have like little bits like this and then like it kind of cuts in a little bit like this right

And cuts it to the path every so often I need to get my weapon get out of my Village okay foreign which path is best um straight edges um um let’s see mixed with blocks out and in mixed with only pathing out whoa God please please please please please please please okay

Justify it with and it is so annoying because there’s no consistency to it so it’s either you want the game to be harder so then you should want Iron Farms to be nerfed mob Farms to be Nerf gold Farms be nerfed you should want all those things nerfed because they’re all

Too easy they are so freaking easy that you have no clue how easy they are until you play Bedrock Edition so because of that those things are too easy Nerf them all and agree to it or or you like the easy stuff so why not

Get some parody and add in some of these other things that makes gameplay a little bit easier like forward placing blocks and hiding Lights under slabs like which freaking one is it that you guys want do you want too easy or do you want too hard oh man I can’t with Java players
