Hello hello hello hello hello how are we hope you well hope you SW we’re live on both sites and it is going to be a good night we are doing chunk lock today chunk loock if you don’t know is this really cool data pack that you can run in Minecraft where basically every Single chunk of Minecraft is locked and a chunk if I remember correctly it’s something like it’s not 16 x 16 is it I think chunks are a bit bigger than that but basically each Minecraft chunk is locked and you have to pay items to the Chunk gods in order to uh pave your way through the world and unlock new chunks to explore new areas so there you go that’s the plan for today let me get my camera turned on and I can pop on screen and say hello to you where are you there You are nice um there is something else I want to show you as well actually let me pull up the old Twitter did I post that I don’t think I actually post it on Twitter in the end it may only be on yeah I think it’s only On Discord where is it let me pull the image up um here it is all right this is what I wanted to show you where are you uh this one just here there we go hi hello um so I was thinking of making new subscriber SL member Badges and we were Talking about this yesterday and basically this is what I’ve come up with so far so we were talking about bringing all of The Branding in fold with the data stream stuff because that’s kind of my main branding on the Minecraft Channel as well as on Twitch um it’s Only really this logo here on the fortnite channel and the fortnite channel is kind of this like thing that exists but we don’t really talk about it that much it’s just kind of ticking away in the background living its best life you know what I mean so um yeah Basically I’m thinking of getting going away with this and moving over to these loot shards instead so these are the loot shards that I actually created for the sales on my ship during Pirates SMP during the blonde beard AR um and basically there are different color variant and stuff like that um there’s Also a rainbow one as well which took a little while to get quite right but yeah there’s kind of a a rainbow one in there I think maybe we could pull a pixel off of green and give sort of the pinky purpley sort of color a bit more love But yeah generally I think it looks kind of cool uh if I turn off my camera as well you can see an example of how this might look in a chat capacity so it doesn’t populate as much horizontal space as the previous one but it’s there It’s doing its thing so um yeah it’s pretty cool I quite like it so if you guys are cool with that um either we can hit the ground running and just use those from the beginning of the new year I like the idea of ticking it behind um About ticking it behind you know uh 2024 you know what I mean new year new badges new start all that kind of stuff um in terms of like what each of these will mean by the way I don’t even know if I intend on using all of these These are More just a proof of concept just showing that we can do loads of different colors and away we go you know what I mean uh the thing that I do need to figure out is how we’re going to represent numbers so a lot of these We’ve had um for you know like one I think we started off with like one month and then like you know like three and nine and a year and blah blah blah blah blah and I think previously on Twitch I think it’s something like you don’t get A number on your badge until you get to um until you get to the 2-year Mark and then after that then it puts numbers on it instead so there’ll be a number in the center and then stuff around it so I need to figure out how I want to design Those and represent them um or is it three years onwards it’s something like that it’s something like that but we need to figure out how we want to do that if you would like to participate in the conversation regarding it then you can come on over to the Discord and when You’re in the general chat um you can basically click on threads at the top here oh if I drag it down a bit there you go you click on threads at the top and then basically you can go inside of here and there’s one called new sub icon And basically it’s in there and there’s people giving feedback and suggestions and things like that uh Cherry just wants everything to burn and be absolutely destroyed and broken into pieces uh so um so that’s a thing um so yeah maybe put it on the seek screen that’s a Really cool idea that is a cute idea I like that so seek if you don’t know is uh the sequencer um it’s the little thing o no spamming keeping this chat strictly talk I crave violence but the issue is is that these um icons are only 18 by 18 so this is how teeny tiny a sub badge is on Twitch with which a lot of people tend to make them big and then shrink them down but then I’ve always found you have to go in and tidy up pixel art so I thought why don’t I make It at 18 and then things will scale upwards perfectly fine but scaling down you obviously don’t get all the same real estate uh but that’s what it looks like in a shrunk down form there’s even like some minor tweaks I wouldn’t mind making to to some of this as well like You know just sort of playing around with it but yeah so there you go so that is where we’re at with that um aside from that I have gotten a thing together actually I’ll show you it real quick just cuz I think it’s quite interesting so this is a thing called notion um Which a bunch of people use for a bunch of different things uh but somebody that used to work at Yogscast and now works with Harris hel and all those guys over there um for like Senai ninja and stuff um he created this thing which is basically like a dashboard and like a Content creator thing so basically it’s a way of having a calendar um and putting all stuff into it um and kind of keeping track of everything cuz obiously in the new year I want to make sure that I’m properly like you know doing everything efficiently and getting stuff Out on the shorts Channel stuff out on Tik Tok and Instagram re and all that sort of stuff like really consistently um so I think this will help me with that so there’s a bunch of like the demo stuff in here still and then you’ve got Like today I’ve got you know Chun clock number two live stream on on Minecraft with Timmy um and that’s that so yeah it’s cool it’s I’m I’m I’m slowly but surely trying to me a bit more just organized I guess I’ve always been professional like I always carry myself properly but I’ve Really wanted to um really wanted to lock this down and kind of have a good going into 2024 so there you go now uh the server is up and running I believe I’ve upgraded the server to um to 8 GB of RAM 8 GB is what it suggested but I Thought that was 8 GB for X number of players and the game uh but if I go to my servers and then I look at it yeah it’s saying 8 gabes I haven’t restarted the server since that point but I’m kind of hoping you can just kind of do it on the Fly it would have had a server restart um I think it does it a server restarted like 6:00 a.m. every morning or something like that so um that’s a whole thing um but yeah that’s basically where we’re at with things just very quickly going to um oh it’s not what I meant to Do just going to do this real quick because today’s goal with chunk clock is basically to uh try and beat the game so last live stream we had a bit of a doozy in the nether but then we finally found the Fortress and we found the Blaze Spawners I don’t think we actually Finished the blazes I don’t think we got as many as we needed to look a lot like a s at DFS oh no sorry wait what beginning to look a lot like a dealer Sail On It DFS that’s what I thought you were going for There um how you doing you good yeah I’m Merry Christmas hope you had a good one merry Merry Christmas Merry Christmas a video which I won’t show publicly because I I don’t think it’ll be fair to share that but um basically Amelia got a uh Slinky for Christmas which she’s been Super stoked about like really really excited about it and I was trying to show her like oh look slinkies can go down the stairs and it’s really cool um and imedia whenever she’s presented anything new good or bad she just kind of gets you know upset about it like Just doesn’t like change or anything like that so I knew she was going to get a little bit squinny a little bit cryy um so I was at the top of the stairs I went imedia watch this and I basically had this Slinky sat there and she was Freaking out she was like no don’t do anything to it she no it was like it was like rolling down the stairs and every time it was going she was like no and then when it got to the bottom of the stairs she just picked it up and just Lobbed it at the wall she picked it up and you yeated it but I said that to Timmy Timmy was like how’s Christmas going this morning for you guys I was like well here’s the first thing that happened um love it most of the time with Amelia if she’s upset or like Apprehensive about something I show her that something’s really cool or flashy or colorful and then she immediately turns the tears off and she’s like oh my God this is great so I was calling her Bluff this time h no probably shouldn’t have no yeah yeah didn’t work that time She was not a happy chappie absolutely loved it um by the way oh yeah that that’s the server right let me just read out these Qui mute and then when I come back just 2 seconds um we’ll explain where we’re at and what chunk block is for people who weren’t here basically sounds Good right I’ll mute my microphone whil he’s muted up as well then uh so I I I’ll wait to explain what chunk lock is for everybody else after the fact um but it’s a very simple concept Amelia is Iconic oh my God okay here’s a new one for you chat Amelia watched Toy Story 4 yesterday and and there is a skunk like remote control skunk that they have and that they ride around in or whatever um she was really excited about this and she wanted to tell me that she’d watch Toy Story 4 um and then she said the word Skunk when she didn’t say the word skunk she said a word that starts with c and ends with t because she can’t pronounce S’s and she just says that word instead and it’s the funniest thing ever I have videos of it again we’ll never share them but I just can’t believe that’s What she says it blows my mind um right it’s one of the funniest like slips ever yeah sorry I was just telling um chat about a a word that Amelia can’t pronounce correctly is it a good word uh yeah so she watched Toy Story 4 and in Toy Story 4 there’s a bit where they have a remote control skunk um and she was trying to tell me about this and I was like I’m sorry oh they they drove around you know what um if you look at your phone right now she was trying to say skunk but what She says is that word which you definitely could not put on your live stream yeah that’s that’s the word she says that she says that word it is unbelievable it is so funny um oh and I bet you get her to keep saying it right No to be fair I haven’t i’ I’ve I’ve got to say it once to get it on video as like proof uh as aun funny bit but you’ll have to show me that yeah I I will send you it after streaming just remind me to yeah yeah I will it’s Unbelievably funny if you if you where are you on the on the world uh I’m in the Overworld I was just trying to find like a full set of iron armor cuz I’ve realized I’m still just kind of not really armored up at all um I am um next To our chickens I’m just trying to breathe them you come here and we we’ll explain we’ll explain it all all right let me come upstairs hold on on my way so what was your favorite Christmas gift my favorite Christmas gift was being in the present of my friends And family awkward cuz I wasn’t there but okay um so chunk lock everybody is a really cool data pack uh very quickly to explain what chunk lock is if you missed the last Liv stream chunk lock is a data pack where basically the entire world uh is divided Up into chunks if you didn’t know in Minecraft um it is 16 blocks by 16 blocks then obviously it covers the entire y AIS of the game and in order to get access to these chunks we simply have to give it what it’s asking for so If I wanted to go into this one I’d have to give it one wooden fence and then you throw it at the wall and it opens up the chunk so it basically just makes progress a bit slower and very specific to move around the world so in the last Stream we managed to uh find an Overworld bit of lava which was a huge um time save for us and then we’ve obviously got water we found some iron made a bucket and through some chunk unlocking in the nether we finally found a fortress um and basically we need to farm up the Rest of the uh uh the blaze rods that we need in order to get to the stronghold and that is kind of the goal today is get the blaze rods get to the stronghold obviously unlocking a million chunks along the way and then basically uh do the dragon fight yeah we’re going to Complete it today everybody completed it mate completed it we’re going to be completed it complet it yeah that’s all you need to know that is all you need to know we’re we’re trying to get all the way there how many BL you got stuff I’ve Got zero okay I think I had like one last time we probably need to gear up a ton oh wait I just saw a little bit of lag now I remember why what was going on oh was it still lagging I upgraded the server Ram to like 8 gig so it shouldn’t Be lagging just hopefully it’s fine want me to do a very quick server restart just to see whether that helps cuz I haven’t restarted the server since then yeah I reckon really quick to restart yeah yeah okay cool yeah I’ll go on this screen but yeah hopefully today we complete it I think Just before we go to the blaze spawner we maybe try maybe try find some more iron and gear up maybe I mean I guess I mean I was already in the ne just then so I could always just go ahead and farm the blaze rods whilst you get a bunch of Iron yeah yeah I’ll try find some iron yeah we’ll do that do that uh my servers B only for me we’ve just got like no food where is it stop oh there is a restart button silly me there it is yeah yeah I reckon this is doable I reckon we Can knock this out today I re we’ve got it in us I reom it I reom it the thing once you’ve got the direction opening up the chunks shouldn’t be too difficult cuz a lot of the chunks typically the chunks have the stuff in the chunk that You need in order to open it so like if you need I don’t know like grass you’ll be in a biome that has grass and stuff like that um so we’ll we’ll see my b right server apparently starting up I don’t know when it’s actually up up up come On we tried to do this uh before for those of you that don’t know we uh tried to play this during the jingle jam charity streams um and it was a bit of a doozy um we tried playing it before but then there was like people could donate X amount of money to charity in order to add in basically like troll commands which would spawn horrific things uh ranging from just a couple of innocent creepers and witches and stuff right the way up to a warden uh and a Wither which was not great so there you are right is The server up hopefully so yeah server’s up let’s get some gaming oh I left myself stood on a Ledge over lava is the server being kind all right go go go oh we really need to make like a better staircase to go up to this don’t We we just we don’t have one let me just try and make something that’s a bit more traversible might not be quite as nice to look at but we’ll hopefully do the trick nice right hey okay I’m on I’m on iron Duty then yeah yeah you got an iron Duty I mean I don’t know if I will perish trying to deal with these blazes but I’ll do do the best I can even if I just get a couple each time that I die like I’ve only got gold boots on so I’m not losing anything major Which way was it from here was it right yeah it was nice I have one loaf of bread as well which is probably going to be the biggest issue for me is just health regen whil it’s in here it’s just it’s just food man let me right I got four eggs please please Please please oh I tell you what actually I might be okay here cuz there’s no Blazer spawned in so I’ll be able to set it up so it does the whole like you know you build a roof over the top of it yeah yeah uh I’m going to see If there’s a any more animals around on the over Overworld thing I swear we had a sheep somewhere maybe he just disappeared yeah I think there was one before uh oh my God you kidding me I didn’t realize there were two Blaze Spawners right next to each other oh dear um Sure I didn’t know that yeah there’s literally one like next door to it which I had no clue about I don’t know if that’s like causing it so that the one that I’m stood next to will not spawn anything e there’s no torches on it and the other One’s popped out mobs but this one hasn’t which is a bit of a shame oh this is just two dirt I’ll do that there we go I’m getting block lag again I don’t know how much more yeah I don’t I don’t really know how much more I’m supposed To do if I’m honest cuz we got 8 gig and there’s only two players on the server and we’re not we’re not loading in Mad chunks of the world like I just don’t know anything about Minecraft server so I’m not sure what I can really do to Help him so strange yeah so strange it really makes it harder to crit the uh the blazes as well it sets all the timers off a little bit there we go nice did I pick up that Blaze Rod did it fall off on boy I don’t Know where is the little sheep where are you from I’m like staying forever Crouch just oh there’s a pigment for safety’s sake oh I found a one more chicken it seems to me that I actually have to like step out from the Spawner in order to get it to pop Off by way know any fixes let us know yeah if there’s anything we can do to optimize this like maybe we’ve just got like render like server render distance up to high some random parameter like that maybe check maybe check what it is yeah check that SEC cuz if it’s really High then maybe it is I don’t know how much is needed to actually run the the data pack you know what I mean yeah right now they’re sping there nice boys I mean to be honest as long as I get these blazes killed should be fine yeah let me let me pull up Um pull up the old data pack there we go I sent Timmy a picture Everybody by the way on Christ uh Christmas Eve maybe even the night before that of the attempts at a gingerbread uh ah yeah oh yeah you laughed at me what did but to be fair it Wasn’t a solo project we had like Amelia um and NTI and then myself all trying to make this gingerbread house with like a you know like a proper kit and it just just wasn’t the one it just fell apart very quickly o hello friend how was it yeah get in Here no what is the oh dude these chickens are like moving every like Lise premium Minecraft right chat be big brain where do I look on my Minecraft dashboard to decide how far like the world load stuff is what what can you optimize on a Minecraft server It’s just a vanilla Minecraft server I don’t know if we were meant to put this on like a fabric server or something I think so I don’t even know fabric servers are a thing I guess it must be the fabric mods yeah yeah server properties let’s have a look in Here so it’s saying spawn protection size 16 view distance 7 oh dude that’s low what view distance seven is low yeah I mean if that’s low we can’t put it any higher we have we’ll have even more problems w’t we people said that maybe put it on um a paper server but we Can’t change the server now guys I mean I think we could I just grab the world file from it um I don’t want you do it unless we have solid evidence that it’s going to help I’ll look at the simulation distance that was another one people Have been saying but to to beir I’m already up seven blaze rods so we’re doing all right here okay um simulation simulation distance is only seven as well it doesn’t like anything here is like crazy high it’s got eight gigs of RAM you think it would be all Right maybe it’s just not dedicated enough we haven’t dedicated enough Wham I’m trying to remember if I was even at that minec con where the dedicated W thing happened I swear that was the like the LA right oh was it was it earlier than that maybe it was Paris I think it was Paris you know oh dude I I’m mining the blocks and they’re where I think it’s just When an Enderman runs at you they’re so fast that we obviously just never get a chance to really you know what I mean like to actually try and do that cuz they’re so quick yeah sorry I definitely just def from my accident mid sentence there say that again that’s okay um apparently on YouTube gaming um H if you’ve got memberships enabled you can gift 10 members every single month as the Creator but I don’t even know how to do it so oh we should set that thing up where we can raid each other as well cuz I think on on YouTube the way you do um the the raiding stuff is both people have to like have said yes about one That you do anyway now yeah I think they got rid of that okay right let me see if I can do it I think the server’s booting up now with paper so we’ll see see all the little icons and stuff like that I can see the icons but not the Border uh can you see the Border as Well when you say border what do you mean is in like the glass like the blue yeah yeah yeah I can see all the glass yeah should I do a hard log relog or yeah maybe I’ll I’ll relog but then if it doesn’t work I’ll do a reboot of the Whole Minecraft yeah I still can’t see it that’s strange can’t tell if it’s less laggy yet we’ll have a look I don’t think it’d be this hard to just load a Minecraft server and just play a little data pack uh oh have I overshot it here I think I’ve lost me Bearings some people lose their marbles I’ve lost me bearings N I think it’s still laggy is it yeah how weird if anybody familiar with chunk clock let us know if there’s anything in like the uh I don’t know in the in documentation for it I mean technically everything the Borders came back yeah borders are in now as well nice right I am can’t hit him from this distance stand over here real quick uh you are not supposed to be coming outside buddy tell you what it actually feels a lot less laggy with um combat which is Nice how much how much uh wh have we gotten at we’ve got eight at a minute yeah he recommends eight for like six players or something so I assumed this would have been fine right I’m up to 14 blaze rods nice we got one in the chest You’re on 15 ah I’m dead and he’s dead I’ll run back and get maybe like one or two more and then we’ll um we’ll start try we we have to try start getting uh access to a blue biome to get those um blue biome there so yeah like The nether one cuz that’s where the Enderman hang out oh I see what you’re saying so you want to farm do you want to farm the end pearls before or after though in what sense as in like do you want to and I’m not sure whether we just Get Enderman on the way to the Fortress I don’t know how cuz I’m sure we’ll pick up a few right we we need end we need Eyes of Ender no no but what I’m saying is there’ll be Ender that will appear at night time and stuff around the world Anyway so we might just be able to like pick up all the Ender we need on route to finding the Fortress uh so the stronghold cuz the stronghold is going to take ages to get to anyway yeah but we need ender pearls to get Eyes of Ender to go to the stronghold like to find the oh to get like yeah to get like one yeah yeah I guess so
