EPIC MINECRAFT MOUNTAIN MOD REVEAL!

What’s up guys welcome back to the channel my name is dean aka the blue crusader and in today’s minecraft video i’m going to be showing you my brand new mod called the alpine update for minecraft forge 1.16.4 i’m going to show you all the features and show you everything involved in the mod

And how to use the mod so basically this mod is actually a mod that completely updates minecraft’s mountain biomes and slightly updates the forest in minecraft it adds some new biomes and it adds some new entities aka mobs as well some structures to the game to make everything much better

Now this is one of my mods in the collection of mods that i’m working on that improves minecraft vanilla’s natural biomes obviously minecraft 1.17 the caves and cliffs update is going to come out sometime later this year and that does update the mountain biomes but this mod

Is for 1.16.4 and will bring a few things early to that update that’s because my mod pack is going to be on 1.16.4 as well as the server that’s coming out for you guys to play on soon in the future so without further ado let’s get into

The video and let me showcase the march so this mod has a few different things in it so first of all we’re going to generate a few different worlds to show you because i’m going to show you the mountain biomes which the mod actually adds so we’re going to go into the minecraft

Single biome generator and you can see we have three brand new biomes at the top of this list this is because it adds three new biomes to minecraft the first is the alps the snowy alps and then also the alpine forest and all of these are grouped together so that they

Have a chance of spawning right next to each other to make sense in terms of geology and location on the world so first of all i’m gonna show you the snowy alps biome so we’re just gonna generate this one so as you can see this biome the snowy

Alps adds the snowy alps into the game now this is the first mountain biome that this mod adds and although it kind of has the purpose of improving the vanilla mountains this is the first of the three biomes which i decided to add so this is the

Biome with the highest elevation aka the highest altitude so although this world is generated just using this one biome right now so you can’t see the actual size comparisons of this compared to the other biomes this is actually a huge size biome okay this actually spawns a really high height because obviously

For snow to be on the top of a mountain it usually is a very high altitude now this will spawn right next to normal alps which are green and they don’t have any snow on them and the normal alps will be a lower level to these so these will tower above

The normal alps biomes with the snowy alps and then next to the alps biomes will also be the alpine forest basically this biome comprises of snow and dirt blocks there will be a lot of mobs which we’ll naturally generate in this biome soon i am going to add some more mob

Generation here but for right now the biome is actually quite barren because it’s really snowy so the next biome we’re going to play on is the normal alps biome okay so this is the main mountain biome which are added which will generate directly next to the snowy alps

And connect to it on a smaller lower level now basically all of these biomes have the parent of the natural mountains biome from vanilla minecraft so what that means is basically the mountains biome in normal minecraft is the parent biome to these custom biomes meaning that they will usually spawn naturally

Nearby a mountain biome which makes sense now as you can see this is the normal alps biome like i said before you can’t see how high up this is because this is using the single biome generator so you can’t see it in comparison to the other biomes

In the game but this is actually really high up and this biome basically is a very green biome with quite a lot of trees around and it’s basically a huge mountain so you’ll see a lot of elevation in the blocks around and you’ll see that it is comprising

Mostly of woods which is made up of very small trees now there’s a lot of animals which you may have seen roaming around here which i am going to give you a closer look at in a few moments but i’m just showing you mainly the biomes right now i’m also going to show

You the structures in a few moments too because there is actually quite a lot of structures which actually spawn in this mod too so you’ll see there’s houses on the cliff side and you’ll see there’s a lot of mobs inside you might be able to see a few of

The mobs as we actually fly past there is four different mobs i believe four to five different mobs which i’ve actually added in this mod and you can see there’s quite good variation in terms of the actual spawning of the mountains you’ll see this much bigger peaks in comparison to lower points

And the whole biome itself is on a really high point anyway when next to the other parts of the world now obviously this mods biomes are influenced by europe’s alps and obviously different alpine houses in europe so i did actually decide to add a few structures to the game

You will see scattered around although they’re a little bit rarer and not too common you will see a lot of these alpine houses which do actually spawn in the mountains now you can see i did actually build this and following a few useful building guides i managed to build a few different style

Variations of houses and then customize them to my own liking and i decided to incorporate these into the modern structures which generate in the mountains so as you can see we do have one of the alpine houses here now as with normal minecraft the structures sometimes do spawn a little bit elevated

But for the most part you will find these structures spawn naturally on the ground now as you can see inside here these structures will have chests they’ll have chimneys and fireplaces inside things like barrels and all the tools you need like stone cutters anvils to repair things crafting benches

Looms and much more and obviously on some of these houses there are actually second floors inside them so if we go up inside you can see we have things like beds up here lanterns and a few little decorations to make everything look a lot nicer and there’s four different styles of

Houses which can actually spawn in these alpine biomes in my mod i’m gonna show you the structures a little bit closer up and i’m gonna play on the super flat creative world i actually built them on so i can show you a little bit of a

Closer look at those houses in a few moments so the last biome i’m going to show you is the alpine forest this biome will spawn connected to the alps biome and then connected to the alps biome will be the snowy alps the alpine forest is at the lowest height

And then the alps is a little bit taller on a peak and then the snowy alps is much taller than that so these three biomes will sit next to each other and have varied heights in comparison to each other and different levels of altitude obviously the snowy alps will be much

Colder and have snowfall whereas the forest below will be slightly cooler and then warmer and have a higher chance of rainfall and different weather conditions so this is the alpine forest as you can see in here this forest is a little bit different to the actual alps biome itself in the sense that

These trees are actually much taller so in this biome you’ll find these absolutely huge mega trees that spawn around and it actually makes for a really nice looking biome now there’s no actual structures that spawn in the alpine forest right now i may actually decide to make the houses

That generate in the alps generate in this forest too because that would make a lot of sense and it would be quite nice so we’ll probably make those houses generate here in the next version too but for the most part the alpine forest has exactly the same mobs as the alps does

And it’s basically just a large forest which is a pretty high point in the world too but just not as high as the other areas in the new biomes which i’ve added but this should still be higher up than normal minecraft mountains because usually for the most part they’re not

Very high up at all so this is just kind of like a hilly mountain biome with these huge trees around and it makes for a really cool place to explore and make a basin okay next up we’re gonna move on to the structures in the mod so this is the first house

There’s four different buildings that can spawn in the mod and for the most part there’s two buildings with one variation each making for four different buildings now this is the main one this is the main alpine house which i built first and like i said this building was

Actually from a building guide which i followed and then kind of changed a little bit to my own liking and the next building was something which i created completely from my own concept and then built off a little bit with some more inspiration from some more other images too so

There’s some entirely custom houses in here and then some houses which were inspired by guides and ideas which i changed a little bit for myself now you’ll see these houses are really nice and i’ve showed you this one a few months ago this is the one that naturally generated

That we stumbled upon so let me show you the next house so this is kind of like a smaller house this the first one has two floors whereas this one only has one floor and you’ll see there’s some nice flowers around the front with this kind of stained glass material

With a combination of bone blocks and sliced wood and then around the back you’ll see some jungle leaves too with some lanterns so these are really nice alpine wooden houses which will spawn in these new biomes and if we go inside we have a huge fireplace for the chimney

Which the thing i really like about these house builds that i’ve put in the mod they actually do have fully working chimneys where the smoke from the fireplace will come out the top of the chimney above which makes it just look more immersive when you actually find these houses in the world

Now when we go inside there are a few things in here this house is a little bit more bare bones than the other one but you can see we do have barrels inside here to store things we do have a bed with chests a blast furnace a normal furnace

And different various upgrade blocks and tool blocks over here for an example we have the stone cutter again and then the grindstone and then various chests in here for storage so you can obviously use these houses and actually use them as bases if you find them in the biomes too

And then moving on to the second world we have the same houses but they changed a little bit so for an example instead of berries on the balcony here we have these white tulip looking flowers and then these go all around the other side of the base

And as you can see the flowers are just a little bit different now another difference about this house is if we go upstairs the house is changed a little bit in the sense that there’s actually an additional secret hidden flaw this is what makes it different to the

First variant that i showed you before if we go upstairs onto the second floor we can actually now take a ladder onto a secret third floor in the attic where there’s a bed a huge double chest and also a cartography table so there is actually an additional secret room in here

Which actually lets you go in the loft or the attic so that’s what’s different about the first house to this third variation here and then this is the second variation of the second house which i showed you before now the outside doesn’t have those multi-color types of flowers this actually has the standard

Berry bushes which go all alongside the front and also a new selection of berry bushes on the back of the house too to make it look a little bit better and more decorated so this is what the variations of the houses look like and you’ll see the front of the house on

This version also has a nice little fenced off balcony which we can actually access if we go inside the house so if we go inside there’s now a little ladder which lets us climb up and then go out onto the balcony here to look out into the world

So these are the four different structures which naturally spawn in these albions in the mod and they’re really nice houses you can use as a player base or just find when you’re exploring the world so now that i’ve showed you the biomes the structures and some various other features and

Explanations of what everything is and where it spawns i’m going to show you the actual creatures which spawn in these biomes now like i said like i said before we do actually have five different creatures in the mod so the first one is the brown bear this

Is a re-skinned version of the polar bear in the mod and it uses the same sounds as the polar bear and what i did is i just created a brand new texture for the polar bear and minecraft to make it into a brown bear so this will

Perform naturally the exact same as the polar bear does and it has the same health values attack damage values and the same characteristics as a polar bear as in minecraft all of these mobs spawn in the exact same biomes which is the alps biome and they’ll soon spawn in the alpine forest too

Next up is the goat this is the same goat from minecraft 1.17 and it uses basically the same model now someone actually sent me a texture and the model file on cursed forge on one of my old mods called lost chapters so i decided to download those and use them in this mod

To incorporate the 1.17 sheep into minecraft early so anyone who wants to play with the sheep added in 1.17 they now can because it actually is in the mod there’s also a re-skinned variation of the sheep but i actually changed the model a little bit to make it into a different animal

Which is the alpine ibex now these guys have longer horns which are curved at the sides and they’re a completely different color but these guys will spawn in the mountains as well as sheep and you can see they’re a little bit louder with their custom sounds

Now a lot of these animals like the sheep and ibex they do actually eat grass so you can see they do eat grass off the floor and then we have two different other animals so the first one is the alpine salamander this guy doesn’t really have that many

Sounds he just uses some of the spider sounds and as you can see he’s quite large and he’ll just kind of creep along the floor on the rocks and these guys will spawn in the alps too and then the last mob which is in the mod is the red deer

Now i did have a reindeer model which i used when i made it for my christmas mod so what i did is i got that and i made a completely new texture and skin for it and i made it into a red deer so you can

See it still looks similar to a reindeer but it just looks a little bit different these guys will spawn in the forest and in the alps too so as you can see these are cool new mobs and they all have custom brand new sounds where you hurt them

When you kill them and when they’re just walking around and that is the alpine update mod for minecraft so as usual if you guys want to go ahead and download this mod for yourself the link will be below in the description where you can get this mod for forge
