EPIC New 1.17 Blocks Build ft. fWhip! MUST WATCH

Hey everyone flip here and welcome to the minecraft 1.17 snapshots i am so very excited to be checking these out today we were just standing inside of some of this snowier snow or snow powdered block which comes from snow powdered buckets i want to talk about the blocks a little bit today

And then we’re going to be getting into doing some building and experimenting with them mostly just experimenting with building a new house i’ve been kind of testing a pallet down there and i absolutely love this stuff so the second snapshot just came out this thing was just updated check this

Out right now the amethyst looks amazing the spy glass looks absolutely amazing inside of the new update if you haven’t seen it yet we’ve got the calcite block we’ve got the tough block we’ve got the tinted glass block we got the block of amethyst block we got the butting amethyst block

We got the amethyst cluster not not a block then we’ve got all of the different types of copper which looks so amazing these ones down here come with the slabs and stairs as well then on top of that we also have the lightning rod which i think looks absolutely amazing with the acacia

Colors here you make a little bit of an awning to be able to get under places i’m going to use that for sure for like a doorway going around like these right in there that’d be a great way to walk inside cause you can’t go around the sides but you can still get

Like a wider doorway with kind of a little bit of a skinnier entrance it’s really really cool so very excited for all these things the candles themselves come in every single color that we have first and foremost though the way this stuff works is basically the tough and the calcite spawn on the

Outside i believe it goes like this and then this then you have your amethyst in here then it’s give me another calcite and another tough so it basically creates these geodes underground which are gonna be super cool to find very very rare but very very cool the amethysts themselves

These clusters i believe give off a light which is going to be so fun it creates some really cool sounds when you walk on top of them as well and also placing them you might be able to hear that a little bit right here

My goal i think is to make a bit of a wind chime you can put a bunch of bunnies on them i’ve seen some people do and it creates an awesome little wind chime for itself back up here at the top now i’ve tried experimenting a little bit with the

Black stained glass being used with down here we also have the tinted glass and tinted glass is basically a type of glass that will not allow light through it so previously i’ve done a lot of these fog effects like this and i wanted to see

If that would help get rid of the glow but still keep it intact a little bit right down here and head back up you can see it’s a lot brighter now so unfortunately not gonna be able to use it for that stuff there but i’m very excited to be able to use

These blocks in general i think the one that i am most excited about definitely has to be this tough however i’m a survival builder so it’s gonna be quite tough to find hahaha okay moving on now with my spyglass we can zoom in on a bit of a

Block palette that i’ve been messing around with just kidding we won’t be doing that anymore but over here we’ve got the jungle wood which goes into the weather lightly weathered copper block which goes into the copper block then into brick i feel like that’s a pretty cool transitionary color palette on there so

I wanted to try and mess around with that stuff a little bit more and then i started coming up with this type of an idea over here i’ve seen other people like i know green originally when he put a video out a while back was using a lot of

The diorite block mixed with the calcite block and then i added in some of that polished art around the outside i think it looks absolutely awesome then those over here i think we can make a really really roughened up area using the cobblestone and some andesite and then

Also a little bit of that tough block looks really sweet especially if we come to this back side you kind of see everything working in here together what i want to do today however we went over a lot of the features so i want to build a house starting a

Little bit of our base plan down here i’m kind of forcing myself to use a lot of these newer blocks just because i want to see how they work on a larger scale so over here we’re going to have a large white tower coming up then using the

Little bit of the tuff back in here i always think it’d be kind of fun to have some windows so we can have these big old windows i’m thinking big square windows right down here honestly might make them three tall i don’t know might shrink it down because that could

Be a huge house here if we’re not careful about it then we have this little side section over here which i figured we could bring a doorway into i want to go back into like a little bit of like a medieval city type of a house

Adding a little bit of a palette for ourselves down here with some coarse dirt and i got this thing stacked up i think that’s like 11 tall right now i’ve been starting to come through this lower area here and detailing some of it with bringing in a

Little bit of polished antisex i feel like that might actually work out fairly well for ourselves here with the tough block in it it’s kind of weird to match this one so i think we might have to mix it up as we’re moving throughout what i was thinking next is we could

Come up here and if we did this and then that will extend itself into the wall then we come to this back side i’m trying to think of ways that we can bring ourselves up into oh that’s going to be a little bit of a let’s just do it right there

It’ll be fine i want to contrast against a lot of the newer blocks to make those stand out quite a bit so it’s bringing in the dark oak here then off of that we can go ahead and bring in some of this lovely block right here but what if instead of it being

Three well if we bring ourselves over and do a five so that’d be five in here and then that’s five on that side as well oh that’ll be very fun because then we can do this and adding in some smooth sandstone and after it feels very much like a tudor house design and

I love it i think this will be awesome decided that it’ll look a lot more interesting having a bigger window right up here in front and then i think on this side so we get a little bit more height to ourselves we can start bringing our way up to the tipty top

Right here i really want to let the copper in the roof shine a lot which is why we’re going so crazy tall on this one but i think it’ll work out really well for ourselves in the end the reason why i didn’t build the tower yet is because

I didn’t know how tall his ass was going to be so now we know we got to bring this thing up at least a few more blocks i don’t want it to be too much taller than everything else going on here because i want to make the top

Look like a little bit of a house too for itself now i have no idea how long this stuff takes to turn and change color from what i’ve heard it seems to take quite a while so i’m gonna go ahead and use the base blocks in right now and as we’re

Building this one maybe we’ll get some other color changes going on not too hopeful on the front of it but we’ll see what we can get on this roof so far from working with this one copper is a very bright color compared to everything else that we have or at least

That i typically use but i’m really digging it it’s very shiny it’s got a good shine to it i think if we bring some leaves in around here and just kind of extend these things around and help make it look overgrown it’s going to start really bringing in a

Cool feel for this one maybe we can even really overgrow it over here you can see that i brought in a smaller roof to break the structure up running that kind of one off to the side that is way too much as lightning rods are new of course i

Had to work in a way to build one of those into here so i’m building a quick tower on this the top of the sign right here right in the center and so far it’s turning out really really cool i wanted to bring the iron bars across the top and find a

Place where we could throw a lightning rod in and it just felt like it wasn’t going to work out down there but what we can do up here is we have the lightning rod and i think if we bring in maybe some jungle fence and then lightning rod on top of it that

Actually looks really really cool not the best for fire tick but you know it’s doing a good job so far i like this house a lot i maybe up there we added a little bit of andesite to mess with that tuff you know i don’t hate that at all that

Looks really nice we’re really breaking up the structure too because that copper roof was getting very consistent up there as the backside over here is quite gross i’m gonna just ignore it for now this is very quickly turning into one of those builds where i have absolutely no

Idea what i’m doing but let’s just hope the blocks place together well let me finish up this roof here and then we can take a quick step back and see what’s going on with it right now just doing kind of the classic stair step up pattern that i typically go for

And it’s looking good so far but then we get into stuff where um we have this central piece up here what i wanted to bring it all to a central point but it didn’t really work out that way so right now the tower looks a little bit like that

I think this center point right up in here needs to be extended and maybe pointed all the way up so it ends up something like this right to there that could work out well for us or maybe yeah well let’s bring this all down like that something like that so the slope’s

Going to go all the way up there i brought in the dark prismarine just as a contrast to what we have over here and i like the way those colors blend together and they both have that little bit of the tile feature to them which i think is really

Nice i added in that white concrete powder into the tower and i gotta say the build looks absolutely amazing from all the way back here when the colors just start to blend together and you lose a lot of those textures and you just see them for that main majority

Color that they are it’s looking pretty good after a lot of headache and too many maths we are finally up at the top here i really look back at it it’s uh it’s interesting we’ll keep it it’s fine it’s okay let’s just go ahead and top it off here if we

Stack the lightning rods up do they connect they do but it also looks a little weird can we flip it oh you can flip it oh you can just have two sitting there right like that oh that’s kind of cool there we go that’s a much better way to

Connect them up i think that looks awesome now this is looking really cool right now but over here is uh very flat and i think the way we can break this up is by actually bringing in another structure so since this is coming out i want to

Keep it even so we’re gonna have two out then two back in and then let’s go here then we count one two three then we’ll have a doorway right there and then we’ll do four and then we’ll do five so we can do that and then just bring it back like

Let’s bring them five it could be a little five by five just kidding it’s not gonna be a five by five we’re gonna extend it out over there so we get a little bit more interest to that end face to the to the building itself now for this one

I’m thinking we just do a normal stair step pattern to get ourselves to the top i want it to feel like a village house we have the giant city house and then just this tiny little village one connected to i think that’s gonna be the way that’ll be the easiest

To get the idea across couldn’t leave the roof totally flat on the smaller guys so added in that little window it’s right above that other one so i think i would have moved it over a block but whatever next thing up is we gotta add in some chimneys right here i think

Some cobblestone be a way to kind of ground this build a bit better i think the cobblestone as we used it in the tough over there and then the andesite up there a little bit i think it’s going to help kind of bring everything back in together simple stuff like the chimney smoke

Coming up here really helps center the build and bring a lot more life into it and i’m thinking because we have all these over here i wanted to bring in a larger chimney so i’m thinking we can bring up like a two by two guy sticking out actually i

Guess that wouldn’t work realistically so we’d probably need to bring it something about like right in this point it’s minecraft and we’re just going with the outside shell of build so we’re not going for the realism here and i’m just gonna do this instead because otherwise

No matter what i do it’s running into something right now and finally a last one which we can make a little bit more on the wacky side sticking out of this crazy tall tower we have i figured we’d bring one right up in here and throw our little trapdoors around it

With a little bit of a kiss of polishing inside at the top it is all good to go check this build out here everybody i think this thing looks amazing again like i was saying zooming all the way back out here and seeing all just the colors to

Come together without the textures it looks really cool let me do a few final touches on this one like messing up the copper a bit further and just detailing out this central area and we should have a full scene for ourselves and there it is my friends this has

Taken quite a while to get to this point but wow is it looking absolutely amazing i finished up detailing out the roof so i did this half of it right here to show you all and then i purposely left the back as the beginning of what it was here

So this is what it was previously right and then we can bring it around and turn it into this mess by just letting it age i actually let a lot of this age by itself and then i came back and tweaked in add some of more of the greens in there a

Lot of it was stuck into that stage basically let all this stuff grow up for a while on afk to watch it go in so the rate at which farmland stuff can grow without any water is about what happens up here so that can tell you how slow it is

Then i came around here and started adding a little bit more detail and one thing that i absolutely love about this stuff which we’ll take a look at here in a moment is i have the lightning rods down here almost to look like a spoke

On a wheel or something so we got the horse out here pulling that thing tried adding in some bees because you know you’d need those to put the wax on the concre uh copper that’s the word not concrete and it’s looking super sweet i really like this building if we do that

Zoom out again we can see it really all coming together out here all those colors are so cool when they start to blur together we lose the texture on it you just get the colors working together here and i think it looks awesome but as mentioned i was messing with the

Lightning rods quite a bit and this is that spoke design i was using here you can see the trapdoor actually lines up right next to the lightning rod so it looks like you’re kind of connecting some wheels together there with this guy so go ahead spin maybe you could turn into

Some cars or something you can also extend it out with some chains in the middle and then it could also look like a pulley system of sorts where you could pull this section up and down then you have some long chains activating a forge or something who really knows

Then more of a futuristic kind of back to the cyberpunk vibes that i used to go for found this one in here and i was like wait what if we extend it out this could look like a super cool wiring system connecting up a lot of different things of just
