EPIC UPDATE: Unlocked new mod in Vault Hunters!

So today is that day last episode i said we are gonna be jumping into a vault and using a key now that we’ve hit a level 100 and we’re definitely gonna do that today i did stream over on twitch if you guys didn’t know i do live stream uh

Usually tuesdays and thursdays over on twitch you can find me at twitch.tv4 sites chosen architect like get that plug in there real quick um but i did stream and we we did a couple of vaults so i have sort of felt what it feels like to

Run these now level 100 volts and i can tell you they don’t really feel that different not at all honestly i didn’t even see any new mobs while i was in there and i thought there was going to be some new mobs showing up but they they don’t show up very very

Often if they do because the last two vaults i’ve ran uh i’ve not seen any however the last two vaults i ended up getting like five echo just over the two vaults the last vault i ran i’m pretty sure we we came out with four echo

Uh that run uh which was insane so uh echo’s looking pretty good we’re looking pretty good plus i have three more inside there and i also say my level went up because uh every time i’ve left a vault um i’ve i’ve just eaten my vault burgers and we also ate the stew

So we do have some skill points um however my skill points i am saving currently for one more level of strength i can actually put another level in strength which is going to help us out in the vaults um i would go for soul but at the moment i

Think that’s going to be good and then uh yeah i’m also using this axe and this axe is really good um not to mention that uh not to mention the the axe or i wanted to mention the axe um we did also kind of experiment with tier

Two gear so tier two gear is now rolling in the vault um we did find that if i search um tier two uh right here is a tier two piece of gear here’s two pieces of gear that are tier two um notice this is scrappy and this is scrappy

Um but it does have more levels than what a scrappy would normally have these have three levels of piece and then the required level is 15 115 and 110 here now these are two pieces that i wanted to save these are both scrappy uh plus which means they could roll a common but

These are tier two um which means it’s probably going to be level 100 plus requirement look at that there’s we got two modifiers on this this is a common um it’s also a pair of boots that’s six this is actually better than the boots we have on uh technically

This is crazy plus four level modifiers which could roll anything so now that we’re at tier two uh our armor is gonna start changing this is not tier two but this is actually a really nice uh pair of leggings that did roll speed plus one and it’s actually

Better than what we have here as you can see with the plus two armor so i did roll this as well i’m kind of keeping some nice armor stuff in here but these boots are actually really nice that just rolled and of course this is scrappy wow yeah this is four levels

This could roll anything this could roll like four armor plus that’s that’s crazy plus two armor toughness oh armor is going to start getting uh really crazy really quick so without further ado let’s take a look at what i plan on doing with this key

Um so i am going to be running a room with a key let’s take a look at the keys um so of course i do need to make this the perfect black opal because we have to make the base there’s the cluster there’s the actual key mold so key mold is done

And now we need to make the actual blank key and then apply a crystal so we need any of the uh any of the base vault crystals um i guess it’s a gem so any of these base gems let’s see and by the way i have tons of ore but

Tubium seems to be pretty good we have a lot more tubium than anything and i believe all we need is basically an entire key surrounded by this if i remember correctly yeah with a tubium cluster is what i need for the key so let’s make some opal

And i’m going to go with tubium for this i don’t remember if i’ve done a tub in one or not but either way it doesn’t really matter so we’ll put that in there with the crystal and we get ourselves a nice green door that we are going to be looking for

Now as far as the crystal goes that i’m running this in it’s a super lucky lucky faster gilded crowded however um simple safe zone withering luckier and trapped so um the trap is uh changed um by the safe zone the crowded is gonna be fine because it is a simple uh vault

But everything else it is faster so we do have a little bit of reduced time on it but not by much uh by five minutes which is still going to give us what like 22 minutes in the vault to be able to find this

I’m going to be running as fast as i can to try and find this key and then after that it’s going to be all looting from there um so i’m hoping that we can find this as fast as possible this is this is going to be interesting now i do have an

Apple that would give us another level of luck but i’m almost positive i can’t eat that apple because of the uh the award that i have but other than that we’re on the new update i almost forgot cuz there’s so much news i am on the

Latest version of the pack now it did update and uh after we get back i’m gonna talk a little bit about some of the update changes and uh yeah let’s go ahead and run this vault first that’s the most important thing so let’s do this let’s go ahead and jump into this vault

I am super ready for this because this is a really really nice vault by the way i mean oh man and by the way uh i just wanted to mention this i have every vault i’ve ran so far has been kind of ridiculous it has been uh a scav vault uh since

Level 100 i don’t know if it’s because of that update or what but they have all been scavenger vaults oh there’s a room right about here i’ve checked so many rooms and ended up with nothing oh and this is the one this is the room um open oh boy oh boy all right

And open oh man okay we got rare that’s a rare treasure orb frame okay i’ve got to collect all this stuff this one looks a little bit better man did we really not get anything great a a lapierre a breeder that’s i mean kind of nice nothing really

I mean i guess you could think i’m gonna be running for like yeah we got nothing oh man because i have all this stuff basically this is oh man i could have i was hoping for better because we literally got i don’t think anything out of that that we could honestly use

What a bummer oh man i mean you can’t always win them all that’s what that’s what i’m gonna keep saying you can’t win them all at least we got uh some pog some free pogs i mean at the cost of echo i don’t know if any of this is like tier one or

Anything like that that breeder though is kind of nice i could have used that a long time ago though that is the thing oh my gosh time for the real fun of just looting as much as i possibly can by the way new thing that was in the update

Uh lime green concrete concrete now all the uh all the elevator blocks are gone so no more elevators to be found in the vault so i got two minutes left in the vault i can spin that you know farming these guys but i kind of want to uh to pop

Back out of here i want to talk a little bit about these updates because these updates there’s a lot that changed a whole lot that changed first things first now that we’re now that we’re back out i got i got a bunch of loot but first things first

Rampage no longer works uh the same way it did with shaman so uh in our our skill tree uh we were able to take rampage and then spec into shaman and uh shaman was doing like damage over time but it was additive every time you hit the mob it

Was doing an additional damage over time in its like own instance that’s been fixed that no longer does that so it’s gonna be a bit harder to start killing the bosses off after this update um another thing another interesting thing there was a whole bunch of fixes

Of course i recommend checking out the vault hunters reddit there’s an unofficial patch notes over there for a lot of things that were fixed um but you can now craft uh the the shard pouch that was fixed so that was a a major update um as far as item recipes

Go some of the major ones that you may want to take a look at is uh well this let’s take a look at uh flux networks i was really wanting to get into flux networks because this was really cheap before to craft but now it requires an

Omega pog for the flux controller it was the default recipe now has been changed so this is incredibly expensive now to craft uh with that omega pog um what is some other things oh yeah if you have refined storage for some reason they made the cables more expensive

Uh the the regular cables cost black opal now and compressed redstone which is interesting for eight of the cable uh don’t actually know know why that was changed uh but it’s it’s been changed um let’s see there there were some things some exploits that you were able to do inside

Of the vaults some of those have been fixed so a lot of the like exploits of being able to bring modded items into the vault has been fixed uh according to the patch notes which is nice um and then let’s see what is some of the other stuff oh yeah the catalyst i

Wanted to show the catalyst so the catalyst was a big change the recipe now looks like this instead of requiring uh two perfect uh larimar and vineyard tight it now just requires biniotype however i think the downside to this is it’s really gonna put a strain on those who maybe are into

Applied energistics and the reason i think that is going to cause it’s going to cause a little bit of a strain because of the storage cells used here so with refined storage your storage cells cost larimar with applied energistics it costs many a tight so those of you who chose a planergistics

Ouch your catalysts are going to be a lot more expensive for you than it is for those of us uh with refined storage uh yeah it’s gonna put a big strain on that i think um but yeah other than that there’s a whole lot of uh other like minor changes

Um there was some items that were just removed like the britannia absorption brew was removed um glimmering wood recipe was changed like there’s some really small stuff um that were that were changed uh just some major fixes and things like that but i think those were the uh the few

Things that were definitely more expensive that were changed um so uh some other good things execute was buffed so if you did spec into execute which i actually haven’t execute was apparently buffed um and so that’s going to be kind of cool i’ve not specced into this and it looks pretty cheap actually

One just it costs one level to bring this up but it does a base amount of damage and you can all assign this to one hotkey if you really wanted to uh to have everything activated once similar to how i have shaman and i also have uh what is it tank

All activate at once so i have tank and i have rampage activate together um but yeah that’s the major changes um of course if you want to read it i’m going to try my best to get the uh if the unofficial patch notes linked down in

The uh the comment section so if you’re interested in seeing what those patch notes are i’m gonna try my best to have them linked down there so uh out of that vault uh the only good thing we got was an orb frame which is kind of nice

Um i need to save up i think i’m going to be going for strength and it’s going to cost me six levels so this orb frame is allows me to make a skill orb which basically gives me a free skill point which without leveling

Up um so that is kind of nice we also got a uh uh a lapidary dynamo which is kind of useless for us but in all honesty like if we gave this like a diamond for example um it will produce about 40 rf per tick um off of it off of that

And it lasts for a while like off of just one diamond so it is a way of generating like cheap power um and yeah diamond is honestly cheap i mean we only have compressed blocks of diamond uh so yeah that is uh kind of a cheap thing now we did get an

Unidentified relic i’ll open that and we got a t-wolf head nice so that’s not one that we’ve completed uh and then we got a breeder a breeder is kind of nice um we can put food items in here and put villagers and uh the villagers will spit out baby villagers for us um

And then you would need another thing to technically get them higher level but we don’t have that item but that’s kind of nice getting that item i just wish we would have gotten just anything other than that so the orb frame um this does use skill shards to do this

So let’s go ahead and craft them because we have tons of steel shards and bam i made my first kill orb look at that and then all you got to do eat it and then what it does though is it does increase your power level by one

And but it also gives you a skill point so kind of nice it’s kind of like what’s gonna happen late game is how you’re gonna get most of your skill points probably is through that method um now burgers i i do plan on running some more vaults

Uh at the moment we ended up getting four burgers out of that i have nothing i’m surprised oh i actually haven’t dumped my main thing yet so my vault goodies we ended up getting six vault diamonds which is fantastic because i’m on my way to dark utilities

Hopefully by the end of this episode um this is done i did put an upgrade on this so now we have a stack upgrade so you can see how quickly this actually pulls out of here with a stack upgrade and i’m pretty sure with statues and stuff we got three trader cores which

Are really nice getting those trader cores are fantastic uh eventually i want to put a trash can of some sort on my system um i’m gonna definitely need a trash can to be trashing out arrows and some of this other stuff that we just don’t need

Like at the moment i’m pretty sure our system is full so like arrows are a big problem uh they’re taking up so much space and it’s just absolutely unnecessary we do not need arrows not at all and just to prove it as you can see we ended up getting another echo

Out of this run it’s it’s crazy um now as far as boxes go we have i could probably open up some more mystery boxes and roll boosters seems like we get a bunch every uh every time i’m saving my modboxes at the moment i’m saving those so that way we

Can run them once we unlock dark utility so we have a chance of potentially getting a free dark utilities item um which would be really nice like if i rolled that and then all of a sudden i got something really nice like i don’t know a gluttony charm

Because uh the gluttony charm is going to cost me four pogs that’s not bad and enchanted apples are nothing we can create enchanted apples from basically nothingness well i’m only about 16 volt diamonds away from unlocking dark utilities and so i think this is gonna be well worth it pop into another vault

And let’s get ready to rumble this one’s a gilded tired and slowed by the way i did put the thing on there and it’s another i’m not going to get a chance to fight a boss that’s for sure this is another one you know what’s funny is all of my co-op

Crystals i had they got uh they got eated by the way they they got deleted unfortunately uh that’s one thing that i’ve almost forgot to mention they uh they removed all of the co-op crystals so now all crystals are technically co-op um kind of an interesting interesting thing [Applause]

Oh nice i got a double portal in this man and this is like a gilded room very nice These are so nice so yeah i almost forgot to mention as well there was one little bug that i think we uh we noticed when i upgraded my world and that is it says i’ve died 21 times in the vault now yeah i don’t know if that’s something i

Can fix or what but it says deaths in vault 21. i i have no idea i’ve only died once in a vault i’ve actually i’ve not even died outside the vault once so yeah that’s definitely a bug maybe uh maybe that’ll be fixed or it’s

Maybe something i have to go in and fix could have been something that got changed for some reason and a two got added in there somehow call that run half bad let’s take a look 11 volt instead run i think we’re like about one volt away a hundred percent one volt away from

Unlocking after today’s stream and everything yes we’re unlocking dark utilities for sure today and then the next mod i think i’m gonna have to go for probably will be mechanism i think that’s gonna be a long haul mod though um there’s really nothing else other than power

Uh or the not power mod but the flux networks would have been nice to go for but man like now that the cost went up significantly the only thing this would be good for is chunk loading and even then it’s kind of expensive just to do that

Ah man and i don’t even think we need chuck loading anymore now that we have the things that we have i don’t know i still think dark utilities way to go that way we can eat faster in the vault and all kinds of other good things so it’s another tool that’s going to

Help us in the vaults um and it’ll help us outside the vaults as well i mean we can’t you can’t beat that four trigger cores gifter statues my goodness we’re probably gonna get an another omega statue today there was we ended up getting to echo that run as well

Man echo just it’s dropping like candy now i love this so i’m currently putting together another catalyst this one’s gonna have lucky unlucky gilded fast but i’m putting optimistic on here which is gonna give me an extra two minutes 30 seconds um and then it’s gonna have poisonous so this should be

Another one where i can hopefully run just enough uh to be able to complete what i need to unlock our next mod i’m so excited i know dark utilities isn’t the biggest mod in the world but it feels it’s gonna feel really good to have this unlocked

Um there’s also mining gadgets i mean i don’t think i would ever i don’t think i’d want mining gadgets this can’t i mean i think this can do the same thing with the chest that my other laser can do but it brings up breaking the chests

Garden cloches i mean none of this other stuff ooh a digital miner but we also need mechanism for that aquarius 17 i mean none of this really seems worth it other than what i’m about to go for like create the power sources are so expensive that it’s almost like a no-go for me

And everything else seems not worth it like powell we don’t really need the the power gin there a battery would be nice but we don’t really need it jet packs would be nice but also very expensive to make i believe um i think dark utilities will be great

For now at least it’ll make mob farm so much easier for us um because we can definitely route things a little bit quicker not only can we use it for that we can also use it for other things um and also the colony charm yeah i’m

Here i’m trying to justify why i need it but i don’t have to justify it we’re gonna unlock it that’s literally what we’re gonna do after this vault hopefully if we get enough all diamonds all right it is about that time oh i gotta dump this and

Then we’re gonna do it may the vault gods be ever in our favor you gotta say it every time you go into a vault ah but nothing like more gilded i will take as many gilded vaults now because gilded just rolls so such good stuff like i noticed echoes coming out of the

Gilded chests a lot of armor is coming out of gilded chests it’s all really good stuff also this might be the first time that we fight a boss four obelisk and this is the first one i’ve gotten since hitting level 100 also since we’re hitting level 100 um i have yet to uh

Uh see what that new uh addition like that the change to the uh the shaman does so this is gonna be this will be quite kind of interesting to see what this does another obelisk and it’s in one of my favorite rooms that’s my favorite room now that i have

The ability to literally break through it like there’s no problem at all also i probably need to change my i thought this was a wither room but no this is definitely a poison yep that’s got it that’s got to be fixed much better there’s my third obelisk and so far this

Is going pretty good 18 minutes still left i feel like i’ve looted so much one of the easy ways of doing this is by getting it from the top like this and if you get lucky just like this yeah you can loot it without worrying about all your stuff dropping down

Oh my gosh there was so much in that oh my gosh yep at least we get a omega room wow all these chests we’re gonna get lucky spawners oh that’s different oh this is a new room i have yet to see this room is this the pixel room this has got to be

Okay so these must contain like inside ah like the uh items like this right here okay so they have just chests inside them that’s interesting with spawners in them this is definitely an omega room but i’m pretty sure this is the pixel art room oh boy

So much stuff in here so little time i just need more time i’m being beat up i’m gonna end up losing my gear if i’m not careful this is insane this is so much good stuff though oh man okay i still want to fight the boss so just

To try it out and thankfully right around the corner is actually a boss this may or may not be a good place to fight it but i’m gonna go for it i think we have it we just got to give it time right oh my it is taking absolutely no damage

I’m out of here we’re going through the we’re going through it’s taking no damage what bosses are absolutely a no-go for me now that was insane like can the boss teleport here like i just want just to see like i don’t think the boss can we’re under a boss battle but like

I was hitting it with i think the wrong axe for one thing but still it was taking no damage i don’t understand i honestly don’t i’m i’m out i’m out so after all of that it looks like we end up getting 10 vault diamonds that run but look how much vault essence and

Then i’m pretty sure man those it’s that’s the way to go for sure like if you want to get vault diamonds go go the gilded route uh let’s check our trades we got wow seven trader cores that run lots and lots of goodies and three echo gyms

I am blown away at how many echo we get every run that that’s on par with just about everything else what so do we have enough that is going to be the question do we have enough vault diamonds to unlock the next mod let’s see so i’ve done it we have enough vault

Diamonds plus some we do have actually more than i needed we probably had enough during the last run but uh i didn’t actually go through and count i thought i thought i was still behind but either way all the vault diamonds nine blocks just like that and all of this

Uh we’re gonna need larimar thankfully i haven’t used up all of my larimar uh because we are going to need all of that larimar to spec into the uh the nine crystals see star there we go yep i’m gonna end up making a few more stars here

Yeah this is where we need all that larimar so i know i hyped you up i hyped you all up on on taking on dark utilities i hyped you up we were going to get the gluttony charm but the more i think about this is the use of the gluttony charm does it

Outweigh running out of storage which i’m currently doing i i think that maybe storage drawers while it’s not the most exciting thing in the world i think honestly this is the way to go i can as i can as of right now keep my power up and running for long periods of

Time by just manually farming into pearls not a big deal uh we can always go for something that actually i could probably even use conveyors from uh immersive engineering um to actually i could probably use those conveyors to move intermittent uh and automate them so do i really need the

Vector plates probably not i think regular conveyor belts can do that um so i am going to go for drawers i am 100 going for drawers i looked at everything else and the cost of everything else and the only thing that really sticks out to me is drawers

Now the reason i want to use drawers is because i can get by with hooking up to a drawer controller this thing right here so it’s a slave drawer controller which is really relatively cheap right and i can have trim and everything and i can line these walls with drawers

And then connect to it maybe even have two separate drawer systems i have one here and one there and line up all of these walls with drawers and that will contain the stacks upon stacks of items that we get i think this is going to be what is going to happen moving forward

So let’s consume them nine and we’re unlocking drawers yep is that gonna bring anything else up and that’s a good thing too because it actually doesn’t bring up anything except for utilities decorations is going up but we already have all those so yeah i think this is

Good um it does bring farming everything farming up by three ouch uh and it brings our power no no it brings this up by zero it brings power up by one and utilities up by one but that’s really all it’s affecting we’re going drawers oh boy this is gonna make storage
