Hello everyone my name is Raven and welcome to Raven gaming labs and welcome back to Vintage story and now we are finally is that a bear up there no I think it’s just some kind of goat uh that that concerned me there for a second

Yeah that’s not a bear it could be a bear n it legs are too big it’s kind of moose maybe I don’t I have no idea anyway so we’re back and I had to look at the map I’ve been kind of looking at some stuff um you know the planes is a

Not a half bad place but I think I’m actually going to build around here I like the Hot Springs area and someone mentioned that there was some Terra Petra but I didn’t see it uh I went back and reviewed the video I didn’t see it of course I that

Doesn’t necessarily really mean anything to be fair but um yeah so I think I’m going to build here like there’s a fair bit you know we have all these uh pine trees and all that good stuff we’re going to have to import in some stuff but I think I’m

Going to try and build like up along this and of course you know build my road and all the other stuff doing this solo is certainly something uh let’s see here let’s see what do we have we have carrot seeds flax seeds some onion seeds we also need a

Bucket and all that good stuff fortunately there are tons of materials and minerals around so that’s good okay let’s see is there all right so so there’s some water over here so let’s go check that out I wonder what this is I guess we’ll see all right let’s go

Check out the water area over here really quick and of course you know grab some food and all that good stuff is this the uh yeah it is okay so there’s no uh reads or anything here let’s go to the next one ideally I would like to not die here so Granite sand Okay all right oh and more copper and some blueberries nice oh no I don’t want that Pinned I think I might end up just getting enough copper just from you know walking what’s this each one getes five so yeah I have enough now for um a pickaxe which is quite nice quite nice indeed I mean there could be copper here but going to risk it

Okay so we’re kind of getting back into uh oh boy know where the big one is so let’s see we’re going to we’re going to need some Maples around here okay not a bad area look a little better when stuff starts growing oo turnips ah let me throw those out h

Yeah oh come on there we go these are a little more important oh nice spark clay I will uh I will mock that right here what is this they’re kind of still low fertility soil though but all right I’ll just use the oh no that’s rocks uh

I guess I’ll just use this in the bright red and call it barlay cranberry bushes yeah it seems like we’re probably going to have to like run over here every now and again and grab stuff good news though is that there are cattails here so we will be grabbing a great deal of

These because we’re going to use this early on as uh some storage whoops and we even have some medium fertility soil which is very very nice how far away am I getting not really that bad I’ll probably run back a different way just to you know

Just uh grab a little bit extra there’s some stuff here but nothing that I especially want right this moment ah here we go uh let’s see here ingredient for a re chest oh wow yeah it takes quite a lot of them I’m also kind of running around looking

For clay just regular clay that may or may not happen to be nearby I know we’re going to have to you know expand outwards so to speak but we’re also going to need a lot of stone and wood going to be a lot of work should be

Fun but then of course you know eventually we will be able to um actually uh you know build and produce things more a bit more locally but for now we’ll just have to travel should have enough for at least one crazy all that and that’s uh all I’ve picked up but yeah actually

Making and doing potery would be a massive massive massive Improvement okay let’s see y let’s go back this way because that should take me right through this way and I went this way and around so let’s go this way and let’s just see where it takes me it’s like the Cattail Roots I

Guess I know walking would you know slow down the hunger rate but eh it’s okay I’m not that hard up for food not like I’m doing super great for food by any stretch of the imagination uh but I’m not doing that bad for food forest floor well at least there’s some medium

Soil around here well we’ll keep our eyes out cracked Granite Granite sand probably don’t want to run on that and there is you know quite a bit of water around everywhere oh hello hello hello hello and this is spelt so I’m going to mark this right

Here and we will come back for it shortly um maybe to give it a bit more time to grow as well by the time we you know get there get back hopefully anyway all right am I going too far no but there’s some more uh oh there’s definitely copper here H quartz more

Quartz and a lot of pine no Oak unfortunately wo hello big copper field here yeah uh I might end up staying here because this copper area is this this area is just so rich in Copper I mean I know in part due to the fact that you

Know I I turned up the uh the settings there but you know Still yeah quite a lot I should have more than enough now to make some basic tools well at least it’s easy to find your way home all you got to do it’s just look for the giant glowing lava I mean come on giant pit of lava this yeah I was already marked with

T okay that is fair okay so we’re going to somehow build up this and I’m not really sure exactly how we’re going to do it just quite yet uh we are going to need quite a lot of resources in order to to do it obviously and sorry about squeaky chair

There but a lot of this is gravel and whatnot so uh we’re going to have to we’re going to have to do something about that okay perfect and uh yep that’ll that’ll just have to do so I’ll put all the seeds in here I’ll put the Cattail roots in there

And that in there and the granite Stone nice now we’re still going to need a lot more but at least we have a sort of start actually you know what let me let me see that can I actually plant I can literally plant these here

Um that is just crazy to me that I can like just grow these in the gravel I wonder if they’ll actually grow I mean let’s find out you know I mean I’ll plant just those there there we go not a lot but just enough okay and I will start using the

Maple logs if you will start uh making some kind of a uh small home that is why I don’t like anything to do okay so by no means is this perfect or even or even nice looking um but it’s something please don’t cave in please don’t cave in please don’t C it’s going

To cave in okay and we’re just going to need to go here and start chopping this down cool got a pen seed say what there you go I don’t really know if it grows properly in this soil but there you go now in my opinion what I’m about to

Do is a really horrible idea I need I need uh I need grass now those are The Cattails that I planted now we need now we just need some Grass more quartz someone mentioned that The Birches uh these never actually grow but I actually think they

Do um but I don’t know I don’t one of those things just don’t pay enough attention to them I just know that eventually when you leave a forest alone long enough it kind of starts to you know grow into something sort of useful I mean this this is quite

Impressive yeah there’s like no oh wait there’s some grass there’s some grass there’s a gigantic pine tree we’ll sprout in two days yeah we’re going to need a lot more uh lot more of these cuz we got to make uh we got to make charcoal oh grass how

Lovely well didn’t get many in the way of uh seeds but eh that’s okay need some sticks I’m pretty sure these do grow but I think it’s like the single individual ones that you can just walk through that don’t grow but uh I don’t know we’ll just keep an

Eye on them in a couple days I mean we are we are planed for like literally another 40 minutes bound to have a little bit of time pass not a lot of time pass mind you but a little bit okay and a thought just recently occurred to me I don’t think that this

Will light on fire however why risk it give me back my fire starter nice okay so that’ll burn for two days let’s let’s make you know I really don’t need really don’t need that to be honest but at least that’s done no oops go back Granite Stones drops Granite stones

And we can use it all right so we’re going to need clay that’s right we need clay gosh we need clay well I guess technically you can use fire clay but I’d rather use blue clay there is a bunch of blue clay over in that direction But I think we need to go out and actually explore get more supplies um we have some if you will but uh uh uh could use we could why I keep why do I keep doing that like the first first thing you go here and you go here there we go okay

So I think we should go back towards like this St Direction there was grass and other stuff and plenty of other stuff to look around or we could go maybe well no this is all Cliff face that’s part of the reason why I like this area so the idea we can’t see it

But we’re going to build all up along here and of course you know into it because we’re going to build a massive M shaft basically and let’s see what do we need to make this well yeah we’re just going to build a basset M shaft we’re on a slightly different uh style

Of play so we don’t have like The Drifters and stuff but we do still have like wolves and bears and just other General things that uh you know like to kill us so it’s not like we can rest easy if you will wait a minute got to make sure

I’m okay we’re almost there should be like yeah there we go now we have some grass which we’ll Harvest a fair bit of it wait Did I mark this area with copper didn’t oh well I’m not really concerned about Birch anything to be completely honest oh goodness man we’re going to have

So uh so much of that when we uh finish but we don’t have underground uh farming or anything like that so it’s going to be interesting to see how we actually get you know goats and and bees and all that stuff but I have I have have ideas if you

Will going to just going to take some time 1 hour an episode probably end up being hundreds upon hundreds of total episodes man it’s hard to see what you’re doing at night lot of flowers though ah spelt wow thanks I guess I mean I could have waited but the

Main reason for the spell is just for the uh you know actually that’s probably the first thing we should do is grab some uh where where where did I Mark that spell it’s this way okay this way it is and uh I know that you know cooking and all that stuff

Is significantly better than just eating the grains and stuff raw but you know when you’re starving you just kind of eat whatever although there are a lot of these for I really want to mark this you know I think I’ll just oh yeah it’s right I threw out tin

Earlier I forgot the tin was called that that was a big mistake oh well because uh we may be able to harvest we may have enough we may be able to go straight to um bronze tooling well roughly straight to bronze tooling aha blue

Clay nice and for this I just get rid of it what was this again that was fire clay this is blue clay uh quite a lot of it too however right now a bigger concern of mine is wow this goes really far uh food and you know of course it’s you know

Nighttime so naturally we can’t see anything going need a lot more grass eventually we will have things like you know grass oh cool uh we have uh Pete right now next to us that’s that’s awesome so uh Pete’s really nice cuz that way we don’t have to burn our

Firewood and did I keep the Flint on me I did keep the Flint on me okay we are going to make a flint shovel really quick this is a very big patch of uhat here my goodness yeah we should probably also bring some soil with us o well that basically filled our entire

Inventory cuz you know we can’t really do anything with this um well I wanted to bring back some Clay and other stuff but I don’t see that happening so let’s just get out of here head back if we we see anything along the way that of Interest we might grab

It but at least now like I said you know we we have something uh that we can use in Li of fire oh man as see all this stuff interesting know in my luck though is it snowing yes I do believe that is snow anyway knowing my luck I’ll end up

Running into a bear or have a bear settle like pretty much right where I am cuz that that’s you know that’s that’s a thing that that usually happens to me so all right I’m not going south enough I guess in this case yes home sweet home I love that the lava greets me

Every Time yeah I’ve never tried to grow this stuff outside of water so I’ll just leave it there for a while and if it turns into something hooray if not well come on yeah all right just cook that you know I guess uh let’s see let’s put this yeah here is fine I

Guess now this right here is actually one of my favorite all features of this game is just the fact that you know not everything is just shoved into a chest you can just stack stuff like sure it takes up more space and all that but no

It looks a lot cooler when you go into a um like a forge room and it’s just filled with inits you know in the storage area it just looks so much nicer oops and uh I’m actually going to take all these out oh come on don’t plant that there we

Go burn duration 25 seconds burn duration 24 seconds okay so it does burn a little longer uh we’ll put the seeds in there I’m going to take this out and see if I can’t plant this somewhere um you know same thing like can I just

Plant this here and it’ll just grow in a couple days I mean that’s you know the million dooll question I mean if not I can always make a pond for all this stuff you know I got gravel and okay pretty much instantly grew I’m just leaving

It I’m sure we’ll find more of it later but we can use it for stuff maybe I don’t know uh let’s see I think I’ll eat my turnips I don’t not really very eager at you know dying particularly right now of all times so I’ll need to turn up so that’ll

Also free up some room I’ll get that out of there I have to do something with these logs yeah okay so I think I will go Harvest more I see do Hot Springs hot water yeah well okay anyway where have we not really yeah let’s kind of like moving this

Direction No it’s it’s it’s daytime and maybe we’ll find something edible inside the forest I mean chances are probably not spotty Moss layer this is a very big tree and it was holding all that up too I’m not really expecting too much in the way of uh

Okay I think we might have enough now at least when it comes to uh H logs no no yeah we’re going to need Oak at some point oh well I mean that’s okay you know it’s kind of how it goes in these games that are sort of like Minecraft

They take a long time to do everything and that’s all right un wrong with that okay so we’re kind of in here we’re actually really not that far in here uh what is no I am uh I’m good go over here where I got some visibility I just start grabbing all this I

Guess going to turn this whole entire little Hill here into a Barren Wasteland if you will yeah it’s maple I don’t know why I ran over to it like what’s this it’s like yeah I pretty much knew what that was so I’m not really sure why I was acting all suspicious and surprised

Like is this more oh this is more Peete wow it’ll be nice once we start having like actual Road system I’m going to need a lot of materials CU I plan to light it with lanterns so that’ll be fun I don’t I don’t really see much in

The way of anything over here there’s like no life for I Amat that that is something that is kind of funny I have no idea what this is for huh interesting yeah I guess I can mark it I mean you never know sometimes there’s a lot more underneath than you expect so

We do have a lot of copper and all but uh oh and this is a huge uh blue clay I guess well maybe where I pick is not actually really the worst uh the worst area actually believe it or not and I think what I can do is I can

Grow all of these like the sge or whatever I think I can build like little growth farms for these that way cuz apparently yes they drop dry grass so they can just have like you know rows of them for various things I do like a lot of the updates that

They’ve done with this game it’s quite nice okay we are going to resume yep it is horrible grass I mean uh soil so we’re just going to grab all of it and the good news is it’s literally nowhere near home so don’t have to worry about you know making the terrain look absolutely

Dreadful thought I heard something that is wolves that that is that is fortunately they’re not super super aggressive I mean they are definitely aggressive but they’re not homicidal like aggressive what is with the music I tell you I like trigger like some kind of boss battle music and I’m just kind

Of you know sitting here just kind of what it kind of what it feels like I triggered uh boss battle music okay and this is more spell nice I’m always a fan of getting more food because well yes I can turn this into like I can turn it into like porridge and other

Stuff um do I have enough for that I don’t actually have enough for that so I’m probably just going to eat This all right is there any other rounds just going to eat that yeah I don’t think I can eat the turn up seed unfortunately all right let’s head back and there even should be some food just chilling out waiting for me oh my gosh another massive Pete field this is wonderful and more

Spelt yeah I’m coming back from for a lot of this like the flowers and stuff cuz you know eventually I’m going to get into like beekeeping and all particularly since I do want lanterns going to kind of need it okay home is this way around the big pit Echo falling into water

Now no no no I’m not bothering you you’re not bothering me you don’t need to come barking at me or wow is yeah I’ve never I’ve never actually decided to build in one of these areas that is basically just huge amounts of travel in sand uh you know just cuz in

This game you know with all the way the blocks are you know it’s kind of unstable but also because it’s kind of like why would you you know I’m going to have to transport so many materials like we’re going to have to bring in huge quantities of uh soil and other stuff in

Order to you know in order to do what we need really wait wait wait wait wait lovely they’re just getting bigger yeah those grew already but we kind of knew that was going to happen now as for all these get out of my way all right and this did burn out but

It’s still actually uh lit to a degree here so let me just run around here and there we go okay so let’s see how much of this we can actually keep going it the wrong way all right let me recheck the guide 11 by 11 all right

So now we just get to do the next Super Fun Part which is make another ax head okay ow we are making enough charcoal to last Generations no this this definitely of course won’t be enough for you know Generations worth of uh charcoal or anything like that

But it’ll be enough for a while anyway okay you need to get out of my way Yeah I mean this really won’t make that much to be fair I mean you know it’s just a giant 3×3 stack um but it should work unless I made a mistake it should work so but hey at least we got to make charcoal this this video we we did the

Whole video and we made charcoal actually in In fairness we we did quite a lot so all right I like the look at that nice okay let’s chop all this down get all this out of the way too while we’ll Mt it cuz it’s annoying and in the way chop all this

Down actually I think we have a fair bit of uh of uh what you call it um firewood back there but yeah I’m going to need uh going to need to start growing some flax in order to no still didn’t get any oh well yeah it doesn’t feel like my uh my

Tools have the durability that they’re supposed to or maybe they do and that’s just how ridiculously weak they are I’m not I’m not really sure cuz I know I turned up the tool durability um but it still feels like they’re breaking way earlier than they

Should be so I don’t know I did this wrong again I keep doing it it’s strange no no actually that is something that I should check I need to make sure that everything is 32 32 32 no no no no no no no 32 all right we’re good on that

What the combat music playing come on see what I mean look at all this look at all this we have to do just in order to you know just in order to have a charcoal pit come on this is absurd hello this is where having Stone by the way would actually genuinely

Be so nice I’m might have to go get I’m going to have to go get more all right all right all right this this is getting ridiculous now this is getting ridiculous uh goodness um I guess the shortest is like just right over here so we’re going to run slightly over an hour

Because yeah I I I just want a little bit you know I all I’m all I’m asking for is you know just just just a little bit yeah eventually we’re going to build this thing into a proper um like sealed storage you know in other words we’ll

Make it out of sitting there eating everything that I don’t need to be eating um anyway yeah eventually what we’ll do is is we’ll we’ll build it into um you know out of like like Stone and all but for now what we have is what we have and if it requires more material

We’ll just get more material cuz you know it’s not Minecraft where you can just you know remove something and be like okay well you know I I did it now I’m done that sort of thing it’s not really like that so and that’s okay I actually quite like the fact that it’s

Not like that otherwise I could just go play Minecraft not there’s anything wrong with that but you know I’m not playing Minecraft th I don’t want Minecraft all right th this might be enough to get it going maybe I don’t know Strangely I might use some Pine

Logs to help hold it together so to speak which is kind of a weird thing to do but you know as long as they don’t light on fire we’re we’re good and then we’ll just have to wait a couple days and also we’ll have to go get some other supplies cuz we’re going

To need stuff like Cobblestone and all that good stuff so yeah there’s tenor basically just Mass transplanting you know soil uh but anyway let’s see if we can’t do this here really wow that’s annoying okay oh my goodness okay where’s my fire starter there it is come

On at least it recognizes as a charcoal pit you know that that’s that’s that’s good enough for me I might have over engineered this place slightly hang on whatever what in the world ah there we go okay that should be sealed and we even managed

To uh you know kind of do that thing pretty quick actually uh so I think what I will do is we’re going to plant some of our uh some stuff anyway we might as well we have the material for it and it’ll also clear up you know the

Inventory since our bushes here do not care at all what kind of thing they put in uh let’s see how’s this doing that did pretty good we’ll take that out put the food in there I guess take out the granite Stones yeah it’s only fresh for the next 18

Days two days okay perfect or uh how do I say 18 days 1.8 days yeah yeah yeah I guess this is right it’s been a while since I’ve played but I remember most things about it although that is a ridiculous pit of stuff there but hey you know eventually we’ll you know

Actually have the charcoal pit connected to the like the forage area and we’ll just yeah just place it it in but eventually it’ll stop burning in a couple days and we’ll go check it out uh let’s see so we have some firewood we can get that out of the inventory all we

Have to do is just place it there uh we do have more of these but now I have to do something with all these you know Pine logs and all that stuff but we have hit the 1 hour mark so everyone with that uh I will stop here

We did pretty good at least now we have a a slight area to rest at and we do have food so we haven’t died yet either which is pretty darn impressive just avoiding all the animals the animals are are deadly even if they don’t seem like they’re
