EPIC Vintage Story: Eastern Empire Rises!

Hello everyone my name is Raven and welcome to Raven gaming labs and welcome back to Vintage story you know I funny enough I was actually going to cover a more obscure old RTS game today uh but for some reason it kept crashing so we are doing this instead which is

Fine cuz you know vintage story is a prettyy nice game so where we left off yesterday is we needed to you know fill all that in and I do believe the first thing we are actually going to do is go over here fill this up open this

Up and we are going to water the crops because it’s kind of necessary and and I definitely don’t want our crops dying or anything like that won’t take too long and then we can finally get started I’m really happy to be in a place where I don’t have to

Freak out and you know rush to like I don’t know if I’ll really need to do much food gathering in this episode certainly will need to be done but not initially anyway oh man without like bone meal or anything to improve the soil this stuff is yeah I mean it’s looking pretty good

I do like the way the crops look you know when they’re like really starting to come in who knows maybe we’ll finally deal with the Wolves let see how we doing on on this 5% okay another thing that we also need to do is uh jugs we need jugs and the

Reason we need jugs is kind of obvious but also maybe not so obvious um but we we’re going to need it for bread yeah all righty got two out of nine upside though at least with the way that I you know water the plants at least I

Can get about you know two done so since we have some Daytime I think I’m going to go over this way and harvest I think I’m going to leave these trees I mean we’ll have you know way more later as well or at least I’m hoping we’ll

Eventually have you know quite a bit more um I mean hope y these will start coming in okay oh shovel is for some reason there fair enough another thing we’ll do is we will get the uh we’ll get The Crucible working yeah that’d be nice totally messed that up

Yesterday uh someone mentioned to me that that it it it needs to be in the left hand which I mean okay I mean that’s fair but you know okay wow didn’t get a single no didn’t didn’t get a single one bit of a bummer I’m going to let that one

Grow try to get one of the bigger ones like this one here I mean I’m sure over time the forest will will grow so to speak and eventually you know I’ll get access to the scissors and all which I believe have a higher chance at dropping the um the Seeds yay I got one I’ll just immediately plant it but it would be pretty nice later on to you know Harvest a whole bunch and get a bunch of seeds and then you know plant like a really nice uh like a really nice Forest around here I mean it take a

While for it to grow sure but that’s okay if we get one from here I will yeah just getting rid of the little I didn’t get any at all huh that is very unfortunate oh good I managed to get a nice little birch Tree I just hit tearing down the forest cuz they look so much better especially like from a distance than you know just big giant open you know monstrosity I guess but I’m what in the World uh okay well that was weird anyway let’s try that again I guess one thing I could do is travel to like you know far away and chop down a forest there but eh I am whoops very much fine with this as well all right let’s uh let’s try this again shall

More actually it’s really not that much more fortunately though this this will give us a absolutely ridiculous amount of uh charcoal I mean the the other one before was nice but this is just so so much more charcoal and off so yes let’s see th this is episode N I believe

So on Thursday the video that I wanted to originally record should go live which will be pretty cool um I’ve been wanting to cover that game for a while now but uh yeah as I was saying you know it just just kept crashing and that that was annoying

So but I am very happy now that I actually get to uh you know actually kind of like properly oh good we got the Christmas music uh no I’m actually kind of happy that now I get to like you know actually kind of properly play cuz that’s always been something that’s been

Kind of uh you know like I love this series and I’m really glad I started it but 100% wish that I had there there we go yeah I guess I should try to you know get more of the leaves before I chop it down I suppose oh cool I got two pouts

Nice I will take that so let’s see two stacks 32 that is still not enough let me I guess I well at least I don’t have a shortage of sticks anymore oh that’s working out pretty well actually Creatures in the way no there’s no way there’s a creature in the way What oh man so slow yeah one thing that I don’t think is the tool durability is a thing it doesn’t feel like it anyway I’ll have to look up the stats at some point cuz you know I I turned the durability like way up so okay let’s go down I mean yeah

Okay I mean certainly wasn’t the the best but also certainly wasn’t the worst either and at least we got you know three pine cones so even though that was actually very slow I do appreciate getting the repine cones I still don’t think this is going to be enough but let’s find Out I’m not falling for that I am 100% not falling for That nice okay so we have that so now we can you know regardless as to what happens all right so I can get the charcoal I wasted so much charcoal I I just almost don’t even want to talk about how much charcoal I wasted doing this but you know

Whatever was a little embarrassing but I mean you know whatever come on yeah M please please light ah there we go very nice yeah actually yeah I guess I might as well eat this stuff cuz it’s going to perish in a couple days anyway might as well eat it okay and let’s

This whatever reason I am having horribly bad issues with you know paying attention to what I am doing it is kind of impressive in a way now if you don’t mind I will like a mining pick mold or a pickaxe mold it’s no big deal you know having a

Weapon is not really the worst thing in the world so you know not not really the weapon I like but hey whatever and I know someone’s going to watch that video and be like hey you know that’s that’s that that’s not what you’re wanting and uh yeah I’m totally

Aware it’s a shame I didn’t notice it at the time but that’s neither here nor there now well at least I have the hammer I know you could cool it off but you know it’s just it’s fine totally fine yep oh I actually probably need like you know one more that’s

Oh I’m hoping that that will help probably not but at least if I recover the seeds maybe I could just you know do it in Mass um so I’ll probably have to have like open areas with uh you know in other words I think what’ll probably

Have to happen is I’m going to have to have open areas where I can um more effectively uh you know farm and then I’m going to have to have green houses cuz yeah this area is in a really odd spot but I mean it’s fine it’s

Fine it is actually fine it’s just it’s going to be a little Annoying I’ll just have to double the size of the farm to make up for the difference so I don’t think it’ll be you know like that big of an issue at least

In the long run uh but it will be an issue so and I’m going to just get rid of this one this one should provide everything that I need need so I’m going to just use this one here should also provide a fair bit in the way of uh yeah

240 okay I just don’t think the Flint tools are just that durable I think they’re just horribly they just have such poor durability kind of makes you wonder like how bad these things would be if I didn’t you know crank up the uh the durability probably be really awful okay wow

Okay and now we’re just going to go straight down just chop this down oh that was actually kind of nice was like super great on the whole uh well was a lot nicer for the Pines but uh wasn’t super great on the logs but I feel like we have

Enough certainly have enough sticks I’ll never have a shortage of sticks again I really I really hope that I don’t know I think I mentioned this in like a previous video one thing that I really am hoping for for at least the next version after the D chank is more like

Homesteading stuff but also uh more you know placing items that is a bear that is 100% a bear like right next door and by the way for those of you that don’t know bears really bad and the reason bears are very bad is because Bears don’t care about the fence

Bears can go over the fence that’s annoying much like everything else so I’m just going to ignore it and pretend that the bear does not exist because it’s either that or acknowledge its existence and I don’t want to do any of it literally so I’m just going to pretend like the

Bear does not exist is it healthy no actually we we will have to go over there and deal with the bear there’s no way in the world um there’s yeah there there’s just no way that we can’t deal with the bear we you know the wolves are one thing the bear

Oh wow we were like literally literally basically like you know right there okay well and we made a charcoal pit according to oh wait wait wait wait wait wait there we go okay an unlit charcoal pit yeah sure why not now dealing with the bear is going

To be sort of similar to dealing with the Wolves we’re just going to throw Spears at it it dies and by the way it is going to take quite a long time bears as it turns out are pretty darn tough okay charcoal pit achieved I don’t know how much charcoal that’s going to

Give me but hopefully and probably quite a lot now the bear so in order to deal with said bear I’m just going to eat this and eat this H yeah growing in June is pretty bad but I think next year will be a little better because I’ll have all my Fields ready to

Go so instead of growing in say June or anything like that I can just you know I can just do all everything in like one month and then just store it in the root seller cook it seal it done move on that sort of thing yeah okay uh don’t really need that and

Also don’t need either of these all right let’s go deal with the bear at night actually you know what I actually need the shovel I do need the shovel I know the bear is over here somewhere I’m going try to lure it over here actually I don’t really know where it’s

That I hate Bears I hate them so much they’re just so annoying yeah the hole wasn’t deep enough to be honest man he is like hell bent on killing me still chasing me oh yeah he’s still chasing me all right whatever yeah Yep this will work

Not really a preferred method by the way but you know oh never mind they’re so aggressive that they’re just continuously trying to murder me even though it’s completely unnecessary nice yeah I did not Build A Bear prooof house on the other hand they act you know like the the

Combat animation the sound is just super funny cuz you know they’re basically it’s acting like oh you know wo was me kind of crap like oh how many Flint Spears does it take to kill a bear let’s find out let’s find out on the upside though I’m safe I mean I starved death

Maybe but I don’t know why there we go Oh my gosh would you just die already please I don’t know though but I I uh someone had commented and I don’t remember your name sorry that uh you know they had issues with you know Bears getting into their goat field I’ve had a similar problem in a previous playthrough

Actually live streamed it actually oh my gosh oh there we go upside I have a lot of bush meat now got my spear back I think I got all my Spears back wow yeah a lot of Spears yeah just pick a spear any spear creature weight decent nice nice

Upside probably get a lot of fat yeah I got some bush meat lump of fat oh yeah I get a lot of Bones too anyway now that no got wow I got one lump of fat I mean I was kind of expecting a little more from a bear I mean I know

It’s like June and all but still you know I don’t know if this game really cares about such things maybe it does maybe it doesn’t I don’t know okay ain’t that great all right let’s oh wait no no no no no no no we we are not cooking with the

Uh with that we’ll cook with the peep all right now the bush meat and all is not as nice but we will uh we will accept you know free you know bare meat basically yeah raw bush meat I don’t really know what it gives me but not suitable for meals I mean I

Hammer nice hammers are good I like hammers there we go we have a hammer um I think I think the next thing we’ll do is we’ll start crafting other molds well we’ll look at other molds that we have access to uh hammer mold got it axee molds a ho molds prospecting a

Shovel uh yeah let’s get a let’s get an axe mold going I mean like you know we don’t have too much time in the video so like running around and like Gathering a bunch of stuff just you know doesn’t seem very uh just doesn’t seem very good especially when it’s night time

Out let’s see how’s the yeah it’s cold now so actually you know what I’m going to go check that really quick how ah yeah it got too hot so it just instantly stunted it which is a bummer that’s something that kind of sucks about this area gets kind of hot during

The day and then cold at night so I’m going to need some way to regulate you know the heat I suppose we’ll we’ll work something out I’m not really all that concerned about it now I know we can just you know get the inits and all but the molds are nice

I literally just remembered that thing by the way yeah seven days yeah I don’t really want to waste the Pete I mean it’s not like there’s a shortage of Pete everywhere but I don’t really want to waste it unless I have to anyway we were we were doing so oh wait wait

Wait okay then oh well normally I would consider this a waste but given the more time constraints of all of this well not really the time constraints just me not wanting to uh craft a bunch of stuff I’m just going to go on ahead and do that yes Perfection

Will you know in other words we have actual fields and okay we have actual fields and then we have green houses for some of the colder stuff we’ll figure it out I’m not I’m pretty sorry I’m I’m pretty confident that we’ll be you know fine if you will it’s just it’s going to

Suck a little I normally at this point prefer my uh my really even nice Rose but doesn’t seem like we’re going to get that this time around the Rye was also stunted that’ll be all right just going to be a little Annoying now I think this area over here

Might actually be safe cuz you know it’s it’s too high so I don’t re well this spot might prove to be an oddity but that aside should be fine man all that stuff is just still burning okay let’s do this let us grab the bush meat and eat a bunch of it

It’s pretty bad so so let’s just grab a bunch of it and then just grab a bunch of Spears that I just so happen to have it’s crazy nice actually I’ll move this over this over this over and there we go let’s go try and solve our wolf

Problem now to be fair our wolf problem might actually be more fixable just by uh a pit I don’t know where the Wolves went by the way I think there might be like lava or a geyser or something underneath there anyway there there they are yeah they’re just going to like keep

Breeding and making more Wolves yeah found the wolves uh help out get off my wall thank you how in the what in the okay didn’t didn’t really solve my problem but certainly was an interesting experience there also a bunch copper right here H I actually think a

Pit is better for the Wolves uh I’m just going to run back because you know I got pretty banged up but uh yeah okay so that’ll definitely have to be some I’m going to make a pit for the wolves um might as well nice okay and then we put that

There and then we put that there move that there see if we can see him wonder it it just it it intrigues me as to what in the world that that bubbling sound is so I’m going to go over here and figure that out a little bit I think it’s either lava for
