EPIC WHEAT FARM – GopherCraft Minecraft SMP!

Hey everybody basket here I’m on top of basket Tower um this is a a new level I’ve been doing a whole lot of work on the tower um so let me get in first person uh right now I’m just growing some uh these guys don’t grow very well

In my other area because their saplings don’t drop as often so I don’t want to lose any uh so right now they’re up here on the roof until I gather up enough saplings and then I’ll and then I’ll cut the you know get rid of this dirt down

Here want to head down here um I don’t think uh in my last episode that I showed this place I had my my lava um pillar in the middle the reason why I’m doing lava instead of like water or something is that uh the beacon once it’s actually back in there will

Actually be able to shine through all the lava so that’s why I have lava going down the middle then it’s encased in the iron bars we’ll go and head down here uh this level here I don’t have a plan for yet oh also yeah so I guess these are

Also new uh I decided to um kind of encase or support the the middle stairs so there’s um I use SPS uh pillars and then or column pillars or whatever and then I have these guys to provide light cuz this provides light all the way but if these torches aren’t here this is

Actually light light level seven uh which is too dark and monsters will spawn so these guys help light it up and kind of add a cool Motif to it um so then up here these will be uh stairs I haven’t put them in yet uh this level

I’m not sure what the plan is quite yet um I’m going to come back to that one and then if we head down the next level here on this level this is going to be the library do I have sound on I do okay good so this is going to be the library

This is going to be filled up with a whole bunch of books um enchanting tables and other things in that sort of theme um you know I have a start here uh probably next episode I’ll actually build this out I need to get kill a whole bunch more cows first before I can

Do that so then this is the the main area uh when you com to the nether portal this is the area that used to be the top of the tower um and so up here there’s a little balcony that looks out onto the the front of the place let

Me got some uh Sprint uh Jitters so we’ll come out over here this is the view in front of uh basket Tower um I need to pretty up the bottom of this right now it’s all just flat but I need to sort of make it so this is more

Supported um and I need to still work on that uh that bridge there but so there’s the front and then there’s another balcony like that in the back we’ll go and show it off off I guess come on over here so this is the back uh there’s

Where my beacon is while I was doing where I’m doing the branch mining um so there’s the back back view um I guess it’s probably better view up there but whatever um and then I still have my I think I pretty sure I showed this over here yeah that’s right in the last

Episode I showed this so that’s my the same bridge I have to get down into the Ender Ender um and I have these pillars going all the way down o I I think I’m considering on this level putting in rails going on the outside just so people don’t automatically uh or

Accidentally go down there um oh and then yeah so I also brought this out some so as you can see all the way all the different layers going down um there’s kind of extends out from there so it’s a circle going around the stairs um and then you have these little uh

Stairs that come off the main staircase to be able to get to each level um I’ve set up some more more sorting um so now I’m sorting these different monster drops and nether stuff and things like that um and we’ll head down further down um this is my cow pen um right now

I have quite a few cows in there I guess 200 or you know 250 or so uh but then when people aren’t actually online some people online right now when people aren’t online um then I then I breed up a whole bunch of them cuz I’m going to

Need a whole lot whole lot of leather for that Library so I breed up a whole bunch bench and then kill him off using my looting sword looting three sword and this is my old Wheat Farm um that I’ve since sort of replaced it’s still there but so I there’s

The this main level here um I brought this out because I I wanted that same Arc and as we had further down um and these I had to collect a whole bunch of quartz because these these took quite a bit that goes all the way down over here is my tree

Farm I have to put in stairs here still but um I tried a few different designs um and these these dispensers right now I don’t have a lot of bone meal so uh but the idea is you put bone meal in here and then they get cycled

Through the bottom and they end up in these dispensers um but the this one seems to work okay but I think that I need to change where these things are because some a lot of the trees like this probably should have grown so I have a feeling if I put the dispenser here

These will grow okay because I think when it when it checks to see if it’ll grow um I try to look up on the wiki but there wasn’t any info on there I’m pretty sure that um depending on the direction uh North southeast west it’ll

Allow it to grow or not so it sees that this is in the way it won’t actually grow I believe so if I had put it here um then it would then it will connect up so might rearrange this a little bit um and then over here if if you put

Anything you put in here goes through some Hoppers and ends up uh going all the way over down there and then up the the item elevator up to the uh the Sorting area so that way you can chop a bunch of trees put it in there put the

Saplings away in their in their proper spots I still need to get some aadia wood or saplings but um yeah any so the the general idea is you can step on this and then I’ll trigger all these dispensers to um to use the bone meal

But um right now I’m kind of low this is all the bone meal I have at least the bone meal I have down here I guess I have some bones in here but um let’s go aad and head down some more and I’ll show you with my wheat

Farm that’s that’s the zombie spawner from all the way from earlier so I have uh all these platforms for wheat um they’re all rigged up we’ll head down again so if if you come into here you can see there’s little hoppers in here so there’s obviously something cool

Happening going on so in here um each of these levels we’ll go up a couple um so each of these levels here um there’s a whole bunch of is this the no this is the top okay so that each of these there’s water there’s dispensers in there with water buckets um there’s

Hoppers here and each side takes it over to the side and then brings it down um and then they all collect down to the bottom area and these are all rigged up to um to the same button that’s right down here so when I push this button

There’s a little bit of uh issue with on the very top I’ll show you once we’re up there but so you hit the button once and all the all the water triggers and then then it triggers again shortly after that uh so for the most part it

Washes it all into these Hoppers uh but not all the time so sometimes there’s a little bit but as I’m planting I kind of collect the remainder um so this is already kind of full of of other stuff right now um so let’s go ahead and collect up some of these extra seeds

This is a trap chest is because I don’t want these guys to connect up um so actually let’s swap these up so anything I put to here will go into The Hoppers that you saw underneath go over uh hit a rail cart that will bring it

Around over to here and then it’ll bring in those Hoppers and send it all the way up which I can show you in a little bit um and I’ll I’ll skip replanting for you guys uh just so you don’t have to watch watch it replant but let me head up to

The top I’m guessing it’s probably broken a little bit so up here yeah all these other ones they’re working just fine but then for some reason this one has problems where um seems like it doesn’t trigger as long maybe it must be it because other otherwise the water would get all the

Way out here like it does on all the other levels and then for some reason there’s that one spot that um it actually it did pull it in but for some reason it it pulled it in in a different sort of sequence um so let me actually head back into

There see if maybe some of these repeaters are wrong no that’s all right so it seems I don’t know I’m not really sure why what’s wrong with this level these are just uh regular um you know a uh Redstone uh Power elevator I guess or whatever you

Want to call those and these all seem to be set up right so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong so I have to debug that here’s the uh um the exit or the the wood logs they come through there and drop all the way down into there let’s go and head down

Down there actually these are all the different levels for the wheat farm and then down here this is where the um wheat comes in comes through and then merges together with the wood uh can I get out of this no me see um okay good I can go around this way

And so if we come over here we can see that here is a um it all comes in here and then starts filling up into this guy once this thing gets enough stuff in it then it’ll it’ll trigger it and it’ll go down uh so let’s go ahead and simulate

That uh so it wouldn’t actually fill up that fast so the card actually fills up all the way before it ever leaves the first time um and then if we head down here I have a setup down here um I still have to improve that version because

Once this is done emptying like I so right now it’s actually sitting here and emptying all the way let me click on it once it empties all the way it’s going to kick off and go back up there um so this this is hooked up to an and gate so that

Um either or this the guy can’t be triggered because I’m inverting it right here so if this if the thing is coming in it’s going to turn off at first to give it a second and then and then it’ll it checks to see there’s a comparator

Under here you can’t see um and what that does it makes it so that the guy will come up it’ll turn itself this will turn off give it time to put stuff into the hopper here um and then that way this cart empties all the way before the

It it takes off again U the problem being is on this side um it’ll just grab a couple things and then take off right away uh besides the initial besides the initial thing so there’s a bunch of stuff in here it zips up um and fills up a couple things and

Then runs back down so there’s a little bit of inefficiency there um what I need to do is add a detector rail in here so that once that triggers it’ll start a start a timer um and then because there’s no way that I know of to make it

So it’ll see is that heart completely full if so go um I guess if I take the signal off of this find out if this is full and if it is full then the cart should go because that means that the that might work yeah I think that’s probably what I’ll hul rewire

This I don’t if that made sense so I’m going to make it so that right now if there is if this is full um okay no wait let’s see okay so right now I have it so if there’s anything in there at all it will

It’ll power it but really what I want is if this thing is full so I guess let’s while while you guys are here I I didn’t bring a lot of supplies so I might not even have enough for what I want to do um let’s

See see if we can do this well over it on camera probably not um this yeah I have a feeling I’m going to need more oh I know where the problem is too much stuff um yeah I think I’ll need to get more supplies before I can make this work but I want

To do that and then I need to do this so that’s on right now problem is I want to get the power to here right there oops and I need to two yeah I’m going to need a little bit more Redstone let me go grab some more Redstone and I’ll be right

Back so it didn’t quite work the way I wanted it to but that might be because this is part of that plan was that is that it would slowly trickle through I don’t have a good solution anyway so I’ll have to come back to this

Um and come up with a better way where I can make it I think it has to be based on a trigger so once it first gets up here it’ll take a while and I’ll have a timer up here because this particular approach I just tried to do didn’t quite

Work uh it’s kind of a shame uh but anyway I’ll head down down here and show you the bottom area so this is another thing I built over here um he way to go back okay I thought want to make sure I didn’t say he had to

Go um so in here this is a just sort of a regular mob uh Mob spawning room uh there’s two platforms on either side with a trip wire that knocks them into here um it’s not super efficient right now um I need to build more more of

Those pads but for now that was a sort of a proof of concept um I do get a tiny bit from it not a whole bunch cuz I haven’t really lit up the area around me um but what I’ll do eventually is I’ll like is I’ll put in more

Um uh more of these rooms going up to maybe to there so there’d be quite a few more platforms um I don’t know quite yet what I’m going to do the rest of the space like over here and so on um these trees here grow up you know kind of

Right next to those and look kind of neat um that’s this is where I’ll probably grow grow my most of my trees I think um what else did I do um so then I covered up the the item elevator and that seems to help out some

With the lag um I had some problems with the light updates from the all the Torches were causing some lag so that’s that’s all fixed up and I think probably the next project I’ll do is breed up a bunch of these cows um and then I actually I have an idea

For this too for a piston a piston door but I’ll I’ll come to that part that project later uh next I think I’m going to do the library or potentially this top floor if I come up here again onto the main what I’m calling the main floor where the where the this

Thing is I’m going to kind of decorate this room some too so either next episode will either be probably this room um or uh the library and I think what I’m going to do now is I’m actually going to head into the end um because I I made a

Couple changes there uh or at least one one main change that I want to show you guys so I’ll meet you guys at the end Ender Ender all right so now we’re at the Ender Ender um I haven’t been here in a couple days so I just want to see if

Everything’s the same uh what I’ve these are all now ender eyes or um ender pearls rather um and then food if people want to bring in food for everybody uh and supplies and then over here is where people can bring in uh donate iron for uh new

Anvils and then if anybody has any extra books that they don’t want uh either regular books or just things they’ve Enchanted they can put them in there um and then if we head up here onto the next level um All These Guys these are all set up now with Hoppers underneath I

Think last time I showed you this there was Hoppers under underneath this side um now there’s hoppers on this side as well um so they get they get uh picked up and all those collect together and they run down to those chests that are down here and if these fill up and over

And these fill up over here so it’s two different systems so these guys will fill up these over here and these will fill up these chest over here if those are all filled up then they move along the outside wall they come and they meet over into this area

Here and out here let me eat out here I have a um I come through here goes into an item sorter me make sure that it’s still working okay yeah so then there’s um uh ender pearls are all in there it collects together and if it’s an ender

Pearl it’ll go into this um right here and then when something’s in there this thing will will pulse it’ll just shoot the addition the extra ender pearls out um if it’s not an ender pearl let me get over there then it will go back around down and then in into

That dropper right there let me get in um so I’ll go down so in case somebody is up there and they die or in case somehow something gets CAU those Hoppers that they that aren’t ender pearls then they will end up in this chest here there is a slight a slight

Bug as you can see where there are some non-end pearls that are showing up in here uh but it looks like somebody might have thrown Cobble or rotten flesh into one of those Hoppers um and as a result it you know goes back through doesn’t get spit out because of the sorder and

Then comes and comes into here so this is sort of the you know oops I died up there and all my stuff got caught by The Hoppers that all gets uh stored in there um and then in case somebody has extra ender pearls that they want to get rid of

Let’s suppose that they’re up there and now their inventory is full of Ender Pearls they can just throw them into here um so if I throw also like a stack of seeds in there the ender pearls get uh I mean everything gets pulled into the system through those same Hoppers we

Just saw and then the seed start showing up in here um I think that for some reason uh Sometimes some of the um the ender pearls make it through for some reason but uh but that’s not the really the end of the world there’s enough buffer space

In there um and through all the Hoppers that it’ll be able to collect everything and then somebody can every now and then clear out the ender pearls that are in here I guess uh because for some reason the item sort doesn’t always pick up all the ender pearls not positive why uh but

Anyway um so I think that’s it for this episode it was sort of a a big huge summary of lots of stuff I’ve been working on for the last a week or two um next episode I’m going to try and show you more when I’m actually building the
