What do I do okay um uh the the spongy sponge yeah what do I do the for when the tip gets burnt when you get burnt solder on like a crust yeah you wet the sponge and then you um wa the tip on that that’s maybe I might have been

Using it too liberally cuz I didn’t realize how potato the tip of the solder iron gets yeah that yeah it’s it’s copper and then they put a tin plate on it and depending the quality of the iron that depends on the it make you know the thickness of the tin plating and it’s

Probably just you know they sprayed it on or something like that um but you’re not gonna you’re not going to find an iron that you know G to have a real good tin plating you just have to deal with it yeah it’s just potato potato tip you just kind

Of I I put that piece of sandpaper in there yeah that you can use to resurface it a little bit I mean even if it just bare copper with the with the flux you’ll eventually lose the sharp tiil you know so just try to make something that’s

Uh know um try to sharpen one side of it put a flat spot put a little bit of flux on there and get your solder in there a pointy tip OU iron is always going to become very dull you know uh round blunt tip after a while so

Something that looks like a flathead screwdriver on the end will work a lot better than a pointy tip okay so you have to just kind of get used to it yep yeah those AR go through tips like crazy I see I see you will you will find your

Groove eventually and it’ll just fall in place you’ll be like oh I don’t have to use a lot of solder I just have to get the tip of the iron in there and get everything hot enough yeah yeah like I think some like there were two I was in

A Groove a bit like some of like the chips I was able to get it to feel kind of Good I CRA pocket that was fun I think I played that like a little bit yeah like I feel like I’m getting like I think I I feel like I was getting there like I starting to get the hang of it towards the end like I was like okay

That’s kind of how you do it but it’s kind of just like the muscle memory and like getting like feel for It yeah I will order more kitties we will get more we will buy more soldering kits I I I’ll kill like five of them if I have to or get there they’re so nice it’s just like like oh I get all the stuff assembled for me in like a little package

And it’s easy to work on that way and there’s no like guessing cuz I mean searching like Digi key and mes and going on eBay and trying to find components it sucks it’s just not if you can get little kits that are like you know five bucks 10 bucks they’re they’re

More than worth it it’s the experience too yeah like that’s what I for is just go through a bunch of these until I get like a good hang of it you you know if you really want to get into it I would say like find some old electronics and just start tearing stuff

Apart if there’s anything you you know oldd player something like that DVD players you know like try to find something older that’s through Hall will give you a better education on how to control the flattering iron surface mount stuff is fun but it’s a lot of

Work oh yeah I think I I think I’ve seen like I think I got like a surface mount kit but I’m like I might wait to do this yeah that that that requires a little bit more you know I’ll probably wait to do that kit
