Axes simple tools in Minecraft most commonly used to chop down trees but is there much to know of these tree chopping tools let’s find out making their first appearance in January of 2010 axes were primarily designed as a tool to collect wood at a faster rate opposed to collecting wood slowly by Punching trees five tiers of axes were introduced to the game the wooden axe the lowest of the five tiers only wildung a durability of 60 uses this axe is the slowest at chopping wood in the next year we have the stone axe with a total of 132 uses before it Breaks this axe is the second slowest at chopping wood in the third tier we have the iron axe with a reliable 251 uses a great bargain for what’s required to craft it this axe is the third fastest at chopping wood resting uncomfortably in the fourth tier we have the golden Axe wielding a measly 33 uses if you’re thinking of using this acts without enchantments you’re just an absolute rebel however the golden axe is only just the fastest axe adds chopping wood sitting on the throne at tier one we have the diamond axe with an admirable 1562 uses only just is this axe the second fastest at chopping wood axes are not only great for chopping wooden blocks they also make for a decent weapon across console and Java Edition the wooden and golden axe share the lowest damaging values dealing three and A half hearts of damage on PC and two hearts of damage on console the stone axe steps it up a notch dealing four and a half hearts of damage on PC and two and a half hearts on console the iron axe holds the same damage on PC killing four and a half Hearts whilst the iron axe gets a little stronger on console with three hearts of damage the diamond axe again keeps the same damage on PC whilst its damage on console creeps up again dealing a nice three and a half hearts of damage what makes an axe an effective tool in player Versus player combat is when attacking a shield with an it has a chance to disable the use of the shield for five seconds the chance of disabling a shield with an axe increases per level of efficiency enchanted on the axe alternatively sprinting and attacking a shield with an Axe will give you a high chance of disabling the shield when struck axes obviously suffer from durability damage but like other tools axes can be repaired using the player crafting grid or from a crafting table or from an anvil the axe is also one of many items in Minecraft that can actually be Renamed using the anvil doing this will cost a small portion of your experience points by using an enchantment table access can be enchanted with a number of enchants the fortune in charmin gives you access to drop multiple blocks from chopping however it’s almost useless for axes as it doesn’t apply to chopping Logs as of currently it’s best used for farming Flint and seeds for crops the unbreaking in charmin adds bonus durability to your axe the silk touch enchantment allows the axe to receive the block that it’s chopping for example chopping bookshelves with an active silk touch enchantment will give you back the Bookshelf instead of books the efficiency in charmin increases the axis chopping speed by using enchanted books and an anvil you can inch on your axe with an additional five new enchants the sharpness in charmin increases the axis combat damage the mending in charmin allows the axis durability to repair automatically upon collecting experience Orbs The smite in Charmin increases the access damage to undead mobs such as skeletons with the skeletons skeleton horses zombies zombie pigmen and zombie horses the bane of arthropods in Charmin increases the access damage to arthropod mobs such as spiders cave spiders and mites and silverfish the curse of Vanishing in Charmin causes the axe to disappear upon death instead of dropping on the ground just like all wooden tools you can use a wooden axe to smelt and cook items such as ore and food although they don’t keep the furnace lit for very long if you smell to an iron or golden Axe in a furnace you will receive its respective nuggets a gold nuggets or silver nuggets axes do not lose durability when destroying blocks that break instantly such as grass and flowers golden axes have a high chance to receive bonus enchantments and high-level enchantments thank God using An axe on a log will turn it into a stripped log axes can also be found in naturally generated chests that spawn inside villages igloos mansions temples and other naturally generated structures in the overworld well there you have it that’s pretty much all you need to know About an item probably most thought were relatively simple feel free to request what you’d like to learn more about in Minecraft down in the comment section and if you’d like to learn more about two other items or even mobs I have an entire playlist for you that’s linked in The description full of episodes like this one however like all episodes in this series it’s cannot end without a trivia question do different axes have different attacking speeds Video Information
