Everyone loves bubble elevators and Minecraft the only problem is they’re not the nicest looking build and it does look kind of strange for let’s say a player in a full suit to be going through all this water and so something you can do to make this a bit more

But also look good so you can use them in large build without having to worry about hundreds of hours of resource collection well this is one of the perfect features that was added to Minecraft 1.20 and that is the fact of bamboo wood because it solves this problem perfectly if you just craft

Yourself some Stone swords you can break a ton of this at once and get yourself a massive amount of bamboo stalks this also works just as well if you have yourself a bamboo farm and you can see already we have a large amount of bamboo that we can craft into blocks of bamboo

Really easily like this and then after just a little bit of work on literally the first day of this world you have three and a half stacks of bamboo these planks are useful as any other plank so you can turn them into for example The

Were added in Minecraft 1.20 now Mojang decided to show them off as being good for blocking two tall mobs without a ranged attack that is true this is a really good ability but there’s some much more useful mobs that the camel can block I’m going to show you right now

The incredibly dangerous vindicators that can kill you in two hits even with good armor are completely blocked by this camel in fact you could have a huge number of indicators all around you and none of them are going to be able to successfully hit you the camel can also

Be super useful though in reading a different structure the incredibly dangerous Bastion Remnant in fact the camel is so overpowered it can block the attacks of any non-ranged Piglet and even better it can block the attacks of the incredibly dangerous piglet Broods and so literally being able to go in

Here and just grab their items out of their chests without them being able to do literally anything about it makes the camel basically a necessity if you want to read the Bastion Remnant something I’ve always enjoyed in Minecraft is trapping mobs inside of boats then I can

Make sort of a mini zoo and I can take a look at these mobs although you do want to be careful about things like that if you’re capturing mobs like Creepers the only problem with this method is that with a lot of mobs a lot of their

Interesting details are lost in a boat for an example this Turtle here although successfully captured we can really barely see the actual Turtle as most of it is just within the boat however you can solve this really easily with the new bamboo raft you can see on the bamboo raft mobs are basically

Completely displayed for instance with this Turtle here we can really easily see the sides of its shell its flippers and just every part of it with this llama here too basically none of it’s obstructed and neither is this creeper or the husk although we should be pretty

Careful about getting too close to that creeper you see when a sniffer splots down like this one just did and gets itself a pitcher pod or a torch flower seed that one place where it sniffed up that seed is now invalidated and they actually save the last 20 places that

They’ve sniffed up a seed or a pod as being invalidated what that means that a sniffer will not sniff there again for a seed unless it sniffed 20 more times and so at this this means if you have a very very small enclosure for your sniffer

And your sniffer is looking for a place to find a seed and it keeps picking these invalid places that it’s already sniffed at it can make the process of getting pitcher pods and torch flower seeds much slower than it has to be and so the trick is to make sure to give

Your sniffers a big enough enclosure although they can be in a very small enclosure a bigger enclosure will allow all your sniffers to get themselves as many seeds as they need but speaking of things in the Cherry Grove biome we have the beautiful cherry leaves and Cherry

Leaves have a very unique property to them and that’s that cherry leaves have these pink particles that fall down from them they’re meant to represent petals now if you want to have these pink particles anywhere you can do that really easily by even placing down as

Little as one cherry tree leaf as you can see right here there is one that just fell down from this very small cluster and there’s another one what’s really fun though is that these are kind of smart and if you want to turn them off you can just Place trap doors on the

Bottom although they have now stopped as you can see if we right click on these trapped viewers the game is smart enough to realize that the majority of the underside of that block is now exposed and so because of that it’s going to make those particles turn on right again

And as you can see here we do now have particles falling down from here and so it’s really fun because it makes the system where you can turn these leaves on and off if you want by simply opening or closing those trap doors the problem with suspicious sand and gravel is that

They’re completely unobtainable in survival and so if you wanted to use that slightly different sand or slightly different gravel texture you can’t do that except for the fact there’s actually a trick inside of Minecraft Java Edition to collect suspicious sand and gravel completely on Survival it’s

Really easy all you want to do is just locate that suspicious sand or gravel and start by digging a little bit away from it downwards you’re making some room but we can break this block here and the couple ones beneath it now that we’ve broken those blocks I’m going to

Entity and is literally just going to float there until it eventually breaks how are we tricking it really easy we’re just making the game decide to pop that off because it’s been there for 30 seconds so because of that we now have this piece of suspicious gravel completely in survival skeletons can be

A really difficult mob in Minecraft especially early game and it can also be fairly hard to defend your base from them the reason why of course is that because of their special ranged attacks they have a very wide range of places they can hit a really great trick though

In 1.20 now is to use the decorated pots as a narrow slit sort of like they would in medieval times what this means that more or less from about 90 percent of angles there’s no way that mobs can hit you or even see you inside of your base

Here but if you’re very very close to the pots you can actually shoot all the way through them and so because of that let’s say there’s a skeleton that’s chasing you like this one right here if we just go through the pots here it can’t see us anymore so we should be

Able to find that mob for really easily being unaware shoot it and then just go to a position where we’re safe that skeleton simply cannot hit us so next time you’re designing a base be sure to build yourself Arrow slits out of the clay pots one of the most important

Items for any Minecraft player but especially an early game player is bone meal that’s where the Cherry Grove biome comes in you see the Cherry Grove biome is actually one of the most bone meal Rich biomes in the entire game and it’s because of all these items on the ground

If we just grab ourselves a water bucket and we place it up here so that it gives us a large flow and then we pick that up again from just one water bucket on the ground we now have in our inventory three stacks of pink petals in fact

Almost three and a half stacks what’s also nice is that this item is instantly broken so if you don’t even have a water bucket you can still do this method almost as well and look at this we basically have 10 Stacks which is a huge amount of items for that little amount

Of time now all you have to do is set up a hopper or even just Spam right click using those pink petals into the compost faster and this means that you can get yourself a couple stacks of bone meal by just working for a few minutes harvesting pink petals signs have been

Upgraded a lot inside of Minecraft 1.20 and these signs can be used to show all kinds of text you can of course also dye them as well as use a glowing sack on them this is also of course true with the old sign that’s been in the game for

A long time an awesome upgrade though to signs in 1.20 is that you no longer just have to use one side in fact if we want to have a two-sided sign it’s as easy as right clicking on the other side just put whatever text you want on here such

Funnest things to do in Minecraft 1.20 the one problem with Excavating Trio ruins that it can actually be quite difficult and that if you make a mistake breaking one of the precious suspicious gravels you’ve now lost that valuable treasure you see the trick is you want

To excavate them from top to bottom and so what that means is for instance right here instead of breaking the block beneath us we’re going to break the blocks to the side of us to make sure this entire layer is completely clear of any suspicious gravel before we go down

Even lower the reason why of course is that if we do break a block beneath the suspicious gravel that can destroy it the trick to never destroying suspicious gravel is to never break blocks beneath suspicious gravel one other trick you can use if you’re having troubles finding out what block a suspicious

Gravel is you can actually identify them on your F3 screen if you turn it on and you look at a standard gravel block on the right hand side underneath targeted block it says Minecraft colon gravel whereas if we go over here and look at the suspicious grapple it says Minecraft

Colon suspicious gravel the texture of scaffolding was actually changed a while ago to make it even similar to the new bamboo wood set and so because of that fact we can use the Scaffolding in a special trick with this bamboo wood if we dig down a little ways from that

Bamboo wood floor there then go back up with scaffolding you can already see how well that scaffolding Blends into the bamboo floor around it but if we use a bamboo pressure plate that basically completely disappears you could also Place some of these pressure plates all around your floor to make it be much

More of a texture you could even Place scaffolding underneath each one of them but only have one of those scaffolding lead to a secret entrance scaffolding can also be used in other ways with the bamboo wood set putting that bamboo trap door there makes it look so much more

Like a table and by flipping it up we can also make it look like a chair another thing you can do which looks really cool is place up a line of scaffolding and put bamboo Planks on either side so this scaffolding now looks like it’s an actual sort of

Elevator and that it’s fully integrated into the items around it sniffers are a really fun mob but they do not generate naturally anywhere so how do you actually find this mob what you want to do is go to chunkbass.com type in your world seed and let’s take a look at this

Seed map we want to start by navigating over to a warm ocean or a warmer ocean now you want to find one of these structures that has a star on it the star means that this is a large warm ruin and you can see already why this

Simply going around with the easy to make brush so remember next time you’re having trouble finding sniffers in Minecraft or you just don’t want to go wandering around the ocean forever be sure to use this structure in fact as you can see right here we just found a

Second sniffer egg bamboo is basically the best new fuel source in the game as well as also being one of the best new types of building blocks and now that we have of all of these pieces of bamboo in this very concentrated area we can use

These as fuel but not directly as fuel you see if we take all this bamboo and craft it into blocks of bamboo craft them into bamboo planks inside of java Edition this is your most efficient way of getting fuel out of the bamboo item and each one of these planks will

Actually smelt more than one item each if you take those planks and you turn them into slabs inside of Bedrock Edition there’s a bug that’s been in Bedrock Edition forever that is that bamboo slabs burn just as much as bamboo planks do even though they’re half the

Wood so if we replace those planks with slabs although in Java Edition that’s actually the same speed and of course less efficient because there’s less fuel inside of that furnace slot inside of Bedrock Edition by putting this in here you are doubling that again if you’ve

Ever made a sign in Minecraft you might have run into this experience where you put down a lot of text and you spell it wrong so because of that you have to break the sign and replace it which is all obviously quite annoying what’s awesome is that this was fixed in 1.20

That’s right all you have to do to fix this is just right click on the sign you can see this text comes right back up so we can go over here just using our arrow keys to navigate to this replace this with the correct letter and boom this is

Now fixed now there is one problem with this change and that’s the fact that you could just have any old player put whatever they want on your sign and so the way to fix this is really simple we can right click on this with honeycomb you can see that there are those

Interesting particles and that means that we’ve sealed this sign you could even seal an empty sign if you want but be warned about ceiling signs because once a sign has been sealed it can no longer be edited in any way let’s say you want a camel in Minecraft 1.20 you

Want to have a good looking and efficient camel enclosure but the problem is that a standard fence will not keep this camel in all you need to do is get some temporary blocks and some trapdoors of any type then place a temporary block every other block making

A pattern sort of like this on the edge of the pattern here just skip a block and place another one here so we have a gap like this and we’re just going to place down four of these in every direction all right now those are placed

On there place a trapdoor on top of each one of these blocks remove the temporary blocks underneath them and finish off by flipping up all those trap doors flip down a trap door so we can easily just go over the top and what you’ll notice

Even if we let’s say try and go to it while riding the camel ourselves is that this camel has no ability to escape from this fence in any way in fact this camel is completely enclosed by these very few trapdoors they just changed for Java Edition and 1.20 the ability of dying

Wool related items what this means that if you put an already dyed wool item let’s say brown wool inside that crafting grid we can also combine that with blue dye and it’s going to erase that Brown die and replace it with blue dye you can also do it with gray wool

And let’s say red dye in fact you can do it with any color of wool and any color of dye and what’s also interesting about with this is that it does apply to other wool items so for example these carpets right here we could turn these blue

Carpets red one by one like this or you could even do it interestingly enough on beds whatever color you want to change that bed very very simple now and it could be infinitely re-dyed inside of Minecraft 1.20 one change though that I’m not a hundred percent on board with

Which we do see in this update is a really big reduction in the enchantment glint so you cannot tell if your own armor is Enchanted or not if your own weapons are enchanted or not and the worst offensive all in my opinion is that I can’t even tell the difference

Between a golden apple and an enchanted golden apple outside of just reading its title however we can change this really easily by just going into our settings going to options after that you can go to video settings or accessibility under video settings scroll down to the bottom you’ll notice there’s two sliders down

Here the first one says glint speed the second one says glint strength now if you turn both of these to a hundred percent it’s actually still not going to be as strong long as it used to be on let’s say for an example the armor on its visual effect as we’re walking

Through but it is going to be a lot stronger than nothing and it’s going to get rid of issues like let’s say not being able to tell which apple is Enchanted or having our tools and armor looking boring the chiseled bookshelf inside of Minecraft I think has been

Largely forgotten as one of the most useful and interesting additions to 1.20 we want to go over here and select which things we’re going to put on this pickaxe I want this pickaxe to have silk touch I also want it to have efficiency 5 as well as Unbreaking 3 and mending

This is going to give us a really great pickaxe let’s say we had a lot of pickaxes though and we put tons and tons of silk touch on it now that we’ve selected those books we can go down to this chest and grab those out you can see there’s the silk touch the

Efficiency the Unbreaking The Mending and all those additional silk touch books we added you can also just make those appear directly in your inventory if you want I just think it’s kind of fun to make them disappear out of here and go through the cyst now what’s nice
