Fantasy Japanese Castle Base | Minecraft Tutorial

G’day folks it’s cortiserino and today I’m going to show you how to build this Japanese Castle now I haven’t based this on any particular real castle it’s fully from my imagination so I’m gonna call it a fantasy Japanese Castle but it’s also a castle base and I’ll turn off the

Shaders because we’re about to have a look inside so this is how the build looks with the normal Minecraft textures and if we go to the inside here you’ll see we have a massive storage room and behind this wall of chests there is enough room to build a storage system

And I’ve left enough room to build nembons automated storage system and I’ve created this world here which you can download from the video description so if you want to build this you’ve got the blueprint to do it and also in the video description you can find a full

Materials list for the entire Castle although that materials list won’t include the items you need to build the storage system but if you’re not a redstoneer you could probably use this space for a nice villager trading Hall but this area is just the bottom of the castle we have a fully decorated

Interior so if we come upstairs every single room is fully furnished and if I do say so myself it looks very lovely now if you’re using this as a base you might want to put some other kind of things in in these rooms so I have a

Study in here you might want to put a pumpkin farm uh you might want to put a brewing area or something like that so at any time you could just take one of these rooms and do anything you want anything you need for your base but if

You don’t have any ideas for a particular area then you can just use what I’ve already got here I have put in an enchanting room though so that is pretty handy but uh yeah every single room is fully lit up and fully furnished so you can take some ideas or leave them

You can do whatever you like and since this Castle is so big it will take us a few tutorials to get through the entire thing so by the end of this episode we will have finished building all of this so we’ll have the base of the castle the

Front gate house and our storage room okay let’s get started to begin build a square that is 35 blocks long on all four sides you can make this out of stone and where the entrance is going to be I want you to leave a 15 block Gap so

When you’re done you’ll be looking like this and now we’re going to build something on these two bits of stone right on the end and this is what we’ll be building now I’ve used diorite just so you can easily pause the video here and copy copy this but where every block

Of diorite is you’re going to be using a mixture of different blocks so where the diorite stair is you’ll be using either Stone Cobble or stone brick and then where the diorite blocks are you’ll be using Stone Cobble stone bricks and the occasional cracked stone brick and where

You can see this stone block behind just continue to use stone blocks there so your version is going to look something like this just a random mixture of those few days and just like that and then the same thing for the blocks just randomly mix in your different varieties and what

You’re going to do is continue this shape all the way around the building so when you’re done you should be looking like this with the wall wrapping all the way around and just a random mixture of blocks so now what I want you to do is grab some polished deep slate and what

We’re going to do is just at the corner here we’re going to come in one block like that and we’re going to run these all the way around the building in a great big Square so when you get to the next corner right there you’ll turn the

Corner and once you’ve done that come along to the middle and we’re going to knock out the three blocks right in the middle and replace those with Oak blanks and then what I want you to do is just come along and count all your blocks we’re just checking you’ve got your

Dimensions correct it should be 29 blocks long on all four sides okay now I want you to come along to this stair right in the end you can break that and we’re going to place Seven Stone one two three four five six seven and then in this Direction one two three four five

Now come along here and we’re going to place a stripped dark oak log right there and we’re going to build it up to a six box tool so we’ve already got one we’ll go two three four five six and then in this direction we’re gonna Place

Eight one two three four five six seven eight and then on the end we’ll do a stripped dark oak wood the one with bark all the way around that should be directly above your stone so now what we’re going to do is build the exact same thing right here okay

Come along to the end of this Stone and place a stripped dark oak log there then skip three blocks and place another and we’ll do the same right here and I want you to build these up until they are five block stores we’ve got one go two

Three four five and do that for each of these okay now you can look up to this log on the end and we’re just going to run a line of our dark oak all the way along like so now come to the back wall here and we’ll go one two three one two

Three and then with stone blocks what we’re going to do is starting here we’re going to run this all the way up then we’re going to run it along the side and then all the way to the ground just like that now in the corners we’re going

To add one stone block on each side and then over here we’re just going to run a line of them across and until we connect just like that okay so now we can look down at this Stone on the ground and against that last Stone we’ll

Place a stair and another one there and I’m using the diorite but when you do it use your mixture of different blocks I’m just using the same block because it’s a lot quicker for the tutorial but all we’re doing is running a line of stairs around like that and we’ll do the exact

Same thing on this side so that’s how you should look when you’re done and once again I’m going to be placing diorite blocks but wherever I place these you place a random mixture of blocks so now we’re going to use our blocks here we’re going to go one two

Three four five six seven and on top of those we’re going to place stairs now behind our stairs you can just use Stone here we’ll run that all the way along till we get to the end and then on top of those at stone block we’re going to

Run two lines of our random mixture of blocks so that’s how you should look do that on both sides so right here you will do the exact same thing and that’s how you should be looking when you’re done so once again here I’m just going to use my diorite blocks so I’m looking

At this little pillar of stone just here we’re going to place three blocks there and I’m just going to build this all the way up until we connect to the stone above and then just in front here all we’re going to do is build a flat wall going all the way up

Just like so so do the exact same thing on this side and remember to mix in your different blocks and once that’s done I want you to walk in your doorway and just in between these two pillars we’re going to knock out that block please see sandstone with

A spruce door on top and then we’ll put two Spruce blanks and then three and three up the top now in this Gap we’ll place our stripped dark oak logs then switch to dark oak wood the one with bark all the way around and place

One on each side there and let back to your planks we can put a little ceiling on like so and then Spruce stairs will go one two three whoops three upside down like that now go back to your stripped dark oak logs what we’re going to do is every second log here we’re

Just going to remove these and place them in in the other direction so we get this nice little pattern okay now we’re going to dig out some blocks so I want you to remove those ones there and then we’ll remove every grass block inside here just like so now grab some Cobblestone

I’m going to put two like that and then two stone bricks and then we can just fill up every other block with stone just like that then with Spruce fences we’ll Place one in each corner here and they will have lanterns on top okay come to the inside and just counting from

This pillar we’ll skip one two three blocks and then Place one two three four five six straight up same thing here skip three and then Place six then right here we’ll go one two three and next to that one two three four same thing on

This side one two three and then one two three four then you can just run a log connecting those two and once you’ve done that we’re just going to plug up our ceiling with Spruce blanks saute should look when you’re done and staying on the inside come along to our door and

Right here we’re going to place two Spruce fences with lanterns on top and then grab some snow blocks we’re going to run them up the stone here and across like that and and come down so we just made a little sort of arch type thing

Now just in the Gap here we’re going to put two podzol now behind the pods I’ll just put two Stone and then we’re just going to plug up the Gap with stripped Spruce logs this time and just in front of the pods are you can put some jungle

Trap doors plant some bamboo and either let them grow or bone meal them so I’ve done it on that side we’re going to do the exact same thing on this side okay now we’re going to put in some staircases and there’s going to be one right here

And another on this side and this will be empty space so you can just place a torch in there so nothing spawns so I’ll build one staircase and you can copy the same thing to the other side so we’re going to start with Oak planks just out diagonally from those two pillars and

Then in front of those we’re going to place three Oak stairs and then three Oak stairs on top and we’re just going to continue these stairs until we’ve placed six lines of them so it’s four five and you can place a stone block there if you like on top of that log

And we’ll finish with six like so now up here we’re going to place six stone blocks and then you can just fill in this area with nine Oak planks so build that staircase over here okay come along to the right hand staircase and whatever I build here I want you to copy the

Exact same thing to the other side so come along to this pillar the one closest to the middle we’ll put three more dark oak on that on this side we’ll do two and a stone block and then three dark oak across the top then knock out

Those three stone put in three dark oak and underneath that we’re going to put line after line of furnaces all the way until we get to the ground now diagonally out from the last furnace we’ll Place Another dark oak log and diagonally from that a snow block and

We’re going to have 12 snow blocks that’s one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and we’ll put a dark oak log there now build both of these up until they’re six blocks tall so we’ve already got one two three four five six same over here one two

Three four five six and then we’ll just run a log in between them like so then you can add two more and a stone block same thing on this end two more stone block and then just connect the stone blocks with dark oak now back to your

Snow just on top of these we’re gonna add an extra four and we’re gonna do that all the way along so when you’re done you should have that built on both sides and all this area behind here we’re not using so you can just put some

Torches down there and then up the back here as well put a bunch of torches down alrighty now we’re going to look at this stone block up the top here we’re going to add one log there excuse me a block We’ll add another one and then we’ll put

A spruce slab just on the side that slabs poking out toward the back of the building and now what we’re going to do is we’re just going to continue running all of these along until we connect over there and that’s how you should look when you’re done so now come along to

The end here just underneath the log we’ll place a spruce fence with a lantern and underneath the final slab we’ll do an andeside block then one two three four strip dark oak and another and aside block so do the exact same thing in this corner and once you’ve

Built that on each side go ahead and build one right in the middle as well and if you’re going to be building nimbon’s storage system behind this instead of an andesite block there what you’ll actually need is an upside down and a side stair because there’ll be a chest right under that

So that’s how you build it if you’re doing the Redstone but otherwise you can just go ahead and put in your wall of chests and they will be right here so you can just run them all the way Along on each side so you build another one right there and just

Continue to build these all the way up like so so that’s how you should be looking when you’re done and like I said earlier in the video if you want the storage system you can find a world download in the description of the video so you can go ahead and build that but

The materials for that are not included in the materials list okay look back to your staircases and up the top here we’re going to add one two three four five dark oak and then with Oak trapdoors we’re going to place five along there and flick them up and five

Right here and flick those down and just behind those trap doors we’re going to put 10 sea lanterns so that’s how it looks on this side and then back to your dark oak come along to this stone block and we’re just going to run this all the way along until we

Connect on the other side now this little pattern that we’ve done with the trapdoors and the Sea lanterns we’re going to do this in a few more spots so you see this big rectangle on the side and then this narrower rectangle up here and of course on that side as well we’re

Going to be doing the exact same thing so you’ll be putting your trap doors in front just like this and then behind those you’ll be putting your sea lanterns and then on this side it’s pretty simple just see a single line of sea lanterns with your trapdoors in front so go ahead

And put them in those three spots so when you’re done you should be looking like this now what we’re going to do is dig out one layer of the floor so everywhere where you can see a grass block get rid of it and once you’ve done

That I want you to come along to this chest on the end and we’re just going to knock out this line of grass all the way along here and just replace all of this with Oak planks and once you’ve done that you can turn to the front door here

And what we’re going to do is with Sandstone we’re going to add one two three four five and just do that all the way along here and fill in this little area now just in the corners here I want you to knock out those two blocks we are

Going to place sea lanterns in there and just above them we’re going to place Oak trap doors then grab stripped oak logs hold shift to place the first one and then just run them all the way along now this little pattern we’re doing with the oak logs the sea lanterns and the trap

Doors we’re going to do that all the way around the building and what I might do is give you an aerial view and there it is so what I want you to do is just go ahead and repeat this pattern you can pause the video to do it and then in

Between all those lines of logs just go ahead and place in sandstone and the final thing you’ll need to do for this floor is just on the walls where we’ve got the snow there just open your trapdoor replace that dirt with a block of snow it’ll look a lot nicer and then

In these Corners here you want to remove those bits of dirt we’ll put Oak blanks there and an extra stripped dark oak and you can put your trapdoor back in so just run around do all of those and if you you want to be really fancy like

This doesn’t look too bad here but what you can also do is replace these Sandstone with smooth sandstone and replace the oak logs with the one on bar with bark on every single side looks a little bit cleaner but I didn’t include that in the materials list and so we’re

All done in this room now what we’re going to do is just put a roof on it so we’re using smooth Sandstone slabs that’s the one with the nice texture underneath and just at this height right here we’re going to go ahead and fill in the entire roof okay now we’re going to

Climb up our staircase and I want you to look over to this bit of a dark oak here we’re just going to run snow all the way along to the corner we’ll turn the corner and get to this corner and just bring it all the way back to the building now with Spruce

Slabs we’re going to place one there skip three blocks Place Another and place one on the corner we’ll turn the corner another one there and Skip three blocks again like so and we’ll do the same over here so slab slab and slab and then two more just at

The front once you’ve done that add another layer of snow to the snow that we just placed so wrap that all the way around and then you can grab some stripped Spruce logs this time so not dark oak and we’re going to add two logs poking

Out just above each slab that we placed before now grab some Spruce stairs and we’re going to place them upside down next to our logs so we’ll place two there turn the corner we’ll go to here we’ll go one two three then two and just run those along now in

Between all of our stairs we’re going to place slabs Spruce Labs will also Place one in the corner so just run these all the way around one in the corner one there and another right there now grab dark oak fences and we’re going to place three in between our logs we’ll

Place two in the corners like that five across the front two in those Corners run these all the way around and then just in these Corners we’re going to add an extra slab poking out against our fence and back to your snow blocks on top of this snow

We’re going to place one two three four five six snow blocks and the same over here one two three four five six and then we’ll cover the rest of our snow with stone so just run that all the way around now come to the inside and we’ll

Put a single line of stone all the way along then we’ll put two stripped Spruce logs another two right there and then right in the middle here a smooth quartz block and then we’re just going to fill in the rest of this area with stone blocks we’re never going to see this now

Right in the middle of this wall just on the floor we’re gonna Place five stone blocks and then bone blocks like this and these are going to be 37 block stalls that’s one two three four five six seven and we’ll build this one up to the same height we’ll place a smooth

Quartz Block in between them with an extra one on top and we’ll also Place one on top of that quartz then grab some snow blocks we’ll Place one there and another right there with two dark oak fences to make a window and what I build

On this side I want you to copy the same thing to the other side so down the bottom here we’ll do four snow blocks then two there and then we’ll go one two three and we’ll do that again and again and our fourth time and then we’ll put

An extra snow block right there and you can flonk a lantern in that Gap then grab a block of raw gold we’ll place it there in the corner and one two gold blocks so we’ve got a nice diagonal coming down there so do the same thing

On this side okay swing around to this side and starting on that log we’re going to place smooth quartz blocks all the way along finishing on the other log and then we’ll place an extra one like so then with smooth quartz stairs we’re going to place three upside down and

We’ll do that on this side as well and then you can put two quartz blocks against those other quartz blocks and we’ll finish with two dark oak buttons okay come along to our corners and with deep slate tiles we’re going to place two on top of those slabs and another

Slab just out on the diagonal and one on top of that block and we’ll do the same in this corner so two blocks on top of the slabs another slab on the diagonal and one on top of that block now come along here to this stair remove that and we’re going

To place tile blocks all the way along then we’ll turn the corner keep that going and same thing here turn the corner and when you get to the end replace that stair with a block then go to tile slabs and we’re going to start on the top half

Of that log run these along and finish it right there we’ll do the exact same thing on the opposite side so one two three four five six seven eight nine and then at the front we’re going to start against that log and run these along and finish against that log right

There and now we’re going to cover up the tops of our fences so just here we’re going to run these all the way along turn the corner and just keep putting these in above all of our fences same thing on this side now at the same height as these slabs in

Each corner I just want you to place an extra two on that side and two right there same thing here one two and one two now you can grab some deep slate tile Blocks place one on top of that stone block in the corner same thing there and then starting right

Here we’re just going to run slabs all the way around turn the corner at your block and just keep going until we connect okay swing around to this side and what I build on one side I want you to copy to the other so we’re going to start

Against that bottom gold block and place one two three four five six seven strip dark oak with two Stone underneath the end and then just on top of this three blocks long dark oak we’re gonna put three snow blocks and just build that three all the way up until we connect

Above and then just above our staircase here we’re gonna go one two three sea lanterns with Oak trap doors on the front so let’s say you should be looking go ahead do the same thing over here okay once you’ve built that on each side come to the top of your staircase and

Right here we’re gonna put three more Oak stairs and we’ll do the same thing from the top of this staircase and this area in between the stairs just fill that up with Oak planks and then just down here we’re going to fill up this Gap with stone now grab snow blocks

We’ll go one two three four on the diagonal there same thing on this side and plug up any areas underneath with stone and then we’ll go back to our stairs so three Oak stairs you can put some Stone in that area another three another three and put some

Oak flanks in that Gap then we’ll just put in a couple of end rods for light we’ll put in two there and two up the top okay now we’re going to start building up our roof and this is the same on both sides so I’ve done this

Side already we will do this side together so starting next to our sea lantern we’re going to use tile blocks and we’re going to place nine one two three four five six seven eight nine and then what I want you to do is just on

The end here we’re going to put a slab there a slab beside it and to break that one so this is coming up on the diagonal now starting on top of the sea lantern we’re going to place nine stairs so one two three four five six seven eight nine

And we’ll finish with another slab just on the diagonal now after this we’re doing 10 stairs so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten so the last one’s poking out on the end and we’re gonna do that three more times so three more lines of ten stairs just one

After the other so go ahead and do that on both sides and once you’ve done that come along to right here we’ll put a deep slate tile slab just there and then at the same height from this side we’re going to run a line of slabs all the way

Along to the end on top of the final one we’ll place a block of stone and then with deep slate tiles we’re going to place one every second block so put five of those in and you put polished deep slate blocks in between now come to the front with polished deep slate stairs

We’ll put one upside down then one right way up and then from this direction One upside down and then I want you to turn your attention to this big empty void here what we’re going to do is at this height here we’re just going to fill in this entire area with

Stone brick slabs we’re going to cover it all up so probably easiest to start on the edges here just run them underneath those blocks and then build them out so just go ahead fill in all of this area so when you’re done you’ll be looking like this and now we’re going to

Put a floor on top of it and this is using stripped oak logs so look at the front of your build here and then we’ll come to this corner and we’re going to go one two three then one in that direction another three one in that direction and it’s the exact

Same thing just three and one and once you’ve done that you can go ahead and bring these logs all the way down and then in between all of these logs we’re going to be running them in this direction so when you’re done you’ll be looking like this and it’s very

Important that you put those stone brick slabs underneath because some of these logs we’re going to break later and we want to be able to pick them up again and we’ll leave it here for today guys next episode we’ll get to work on the main part of the castle and with any
