Fed X Gaming – How To Make A Working TV In Minecraft

Hello everyone fed here and welcome back to another how to build video in this video I’m showing you how to build a working TV inside of Minecraft without any mods and of course without mods that means we can’t have any moving pictures and things like that but I feel like a

Capture to working TV quite well in this video now I didn’t want to have we’re just lit up the TV I’ve done that in the past already where you know flick a lever turns on the TV flick up the lever turns off the TV now in the past I have

Done flickering lights so I felt like I wanted to capture what a TV really is when you’re watching a TV at night or in a darkroom or even in a light room TVs always give off a different lighting effect depending on how colorful the screen is depending on let’s say you’re

Watching a horror movie it’s a little bit more darker and other shows on the TV so I want to capture that you know light level so this TVs light level will change randomly I have it set up to a random generator in the back and another

Cool thing is I haven’t hooked up to an actual jukebox the only way to turn this thing on is with the jukebox of course I’ll show at the end you know you just switch it to a lever in case you want to just use it as a prop but

I’m gonna do something that I haven’t done in Minecraft in quite some time and that is turn on the music I have not listened to minecraft music itself in about two years I always have it off completely because what I’m doing tutorials it gets a little bit annoying

So I’m going to set this to I guess 50% and man I haven’t heard minecraft music in a very very long time so let’s go ahead and watch some TV so here we go And there you guys have it that is the working TV’s let’s go ahead and turn it off by pulling out our disk from the jukebox and you see the lights came back on now that is optional I’m not going to be given the resources for that but if

You want to do that at the end of course I will show you guys how to do is I’m gonna go ahead and switch this over to daytime and we can check out all the redstone in the back alright so I quickly went ahead and just turned off

All the music I said it the daytime so let’s go ahead and check out all the Redstone and the backwards gonna break through this fake door right here I’m going to go over here over to our courts now the reason why in case this thing in courts is because the light level will

Show up on the outside and you don’t want that to happen you wanna have your light level contained for the TV want to make sure that the light is only coming through the TV and nowhere else as you can see this thing isn’t too crazy big we have two random generators right here

This random generator will activate the lamp at the bottom at certain times it’s completely random that will give off the most light level back here and then this one will turn on and off the redstone torch over here that gives off light level at all times

Giving it that real TV feel you know the light levels change depending on the color of the TV the saturation of the TV so that’s the way I went with this video I wanted to make sure that it worked in a certain way that was different from

Everyone else’s so let’s go ahead and start building this thing all right guys normally I like to give a definite spacing for my build up we’re just gonna build this straight with you because it’s quite a simple build it’ll be a lot easier just to build it with

You now the resources were going to need for this build are two Pistons three droppers three hoppers three redstone comparators two redstone repeaters nine redstone one redstone lamp two levers one jukebox one music disc of any choice it really doesn’t matter and a painting alright guys so the first thing we’re

Gonna do is start off by building our TV now the cool thing about this TV is you can make it as big or as small as you want it now what we’re gonna start by doing is coarse finding a wall so let’s just pretend right here is my walling of

Choice so what I did was is on my wall I broke out the bottom four blocks on my wall and I placed in bookshelves then I took out some court stairs and I place a court stair upside down here a court stair upside down right here and then I

Placed in to court slabs then one block above my desk that is going to be holding the TV I came up and I broke these two blocks right here and placed in two Pistons next up place two more blocks of choice where on top of those Pistons and then place the lever

On top of any one of these box and flip it down it will extend out your pistons now if you want to just make it a one by two all you have to do is just place it right here on top of the pistons however

You want to make it like mine which was a 2×2 what I did was I placed in two dark oak wood stairs right underneath it side by side and actually that looks pretty good too to be honest that looks really good so what I did now is I’m

Just gonna take out a painting and I don’t know if I can get my hand oh look at that that was absolutely perfect I used the wither because I absolutely loved the wither painting okay so now it’s time to get started up on the redstone so right over here to the

Left-hand side we’re gonna place in our jukebox it’s going to activate our TV and also give some music effect while the TV is playing then right behind this jukebox we’re going to go ahead and place in a redstone comparator because if you did not know if we place a music

Disc inside of the jukebox it will actually give off a signal so if we put in our music disc Boop as you can see it comes on and then when I take the music disc out it goes off and that’s what we want next I’ll place a block right in

Front of that redstone comparator next we’ll take out a dropper place a dropper facing upwards with a hopper going into the top of it’s going to crouch mode like this and then go ahead and just place in your hopper right on top of it so as long as you’re in crouch mode

Should be able to go right on top of it then go inside your dropper and place in one item it really doesn’t matter what item it is so I’m gonna go ahead and just place in my bookshelves because I no longer need those number to place a

Block right next to our dropper with a redstone comparator coming out of this hopper next up place a block right next to our redstone comparator with a piece of rest on top of it and then take out your droppers once again replace another dropper right off the side of that block

Then I’m going to place a hopper right in front of our dropper next up we’re going to do is actually break out the block right underneath our hopper right here so go out and break out the block right underneath it go ahead and take out your redstone lamp and place your

Wrestle lamp right underneath your hopper next we’re going to actually need a slab for this part so take out a slab and what I want you to do is break down one more block right here place a piece of redstone break a block right here place another piece of redstone next up place

A slab right here and then coming out of this hopper we’re gonna place a redstone comparator going that way with a block in front of your comparator now what that will do is these two lines of dust will activate this lamp right here so if we actually go ahead and take out our

Lever and if you flip down your lever right here off this block as you can see the lamp came on and the lamp went off so just make sure your lamp comes on and then your lamp goes off next up we’re gonna place a block right in front of

This redstone comparator now inside this dropper we’re going to need two stackable items and one non stackable item so go ahead and just take out like a wooden shovel or something like that you take out a wooden sword when shovel any of these are non stackable items

Already take out a wooden shovel go inside a dropper and place in our non stackable item and then place in two stackable items inside of here sealant let’s go and just take out a piece of stone and some dirt so going to place a stone and a piece of dirt in there or

Whatever you really want to as long as it’s a stackable item so if it stacks to 16 if it stacks to 64 that is a stackable item so we have one non stackable item and two stackable items next up place a piece of redstone right here next to this block and then two

Repeaters going back this way set them both to four tix delay so now if you want to go ahead we could test out the bottom randomizer first so come right back over here go ahead and place it in your music this now if you don’t want to

Use a music disc and you just want have a lever over here you can simply just swap out the jukebox right here with a block and then go ahead and just place a lever off the block like this and that will activate it as well as going like

This boom it will activate and as you can see it is working as you see that is randomly coming on down there it’s not always coming on so that see it didn’t go come on then come on then come on it’s completely randomized guys so that

Will come on and off at random times so now that we know everything is working let’s go ahead and flip this up right here now it shouldn’t turn off because I haven’t set up every so to turn it off just break this redstone right here and

Then wait for it to go around like that Boop and then just place it back in so we know everything is working now I’m going to be using the jukebox I’m not going to be using this so if I place my jukebox here and now if I place in my

Music that’s like this Boop as you can see the randomizer is working so it’s going to take that out like this and we’re going to come over here and just break this redstone really quickly just like and wait for it to turn off next up we’re going to come over here next to

This your dropper and run a place in a redstone torch right here now that’s what’s going to turn off our dropper so now if we went ahead and did the randomizer bloop as you can see it will do the randomizer perfectly and then when we take out it boot that will turn

It off so Boop as you can see it completely turned off next up we’re going to place a block right on top of this redstone torch another block up like this put two pieces right so as you see the Redstone came on one block over with a piece of redstone another block

Over with some rice on top of it and then a redstone torch right off the backside of that block right there now that will light up the TV just a tiny bit at all times and then of course we’re gonna have the other randomizer here to completely turn off the TV so it

Has that awesome flickering effect so now it’s time to put in our last randomizer so place a block up right here off that redstone place the dropper facing upwards with a hopper going into the top of it once again and we’re going to do the same

Thing we did over here in this dropper where we placed in two stackable items and one non stackable items will go ahead and place into two stackable items in here so let’s go in place a hopper in here and we’ll go ahead and place a dropper in here and now we’re going to

Need a one nonce a couple items let’s go ahead and just take out another wooden shovel and place our wooden shovel right in here next I’ll place a block right next to your dropper by going into sanic mode place it in a redstone comparator coming out of this hopper right here

Going this way place a block up in front of it with a piece of redstone right there now what that will do is we’ll randomly generate a signal right here turning on and off this redstone torch so now everything should be set up you should be completely done so when I

Place in my music disco play my music and the randomizer will be going on and off down here and then we’ll also have the randomizer up here going on off which will randomly turn on and off this redstone torch making the TV completely work you are completely done guys so

It’s going to take this thing out and now if you want to it’s completely optional you can go in and place in some speakers right here so I’m going to take out some black hardened clay and place a black card and clay right on top of my

Tube box like that and then two more on this side with item frames off of every single one boom boom boom and boom and then go ahead and take out your buttons and place buttons right off the block so make sure you’re looking at the block

And place a button place a button place a button here not on the inside right there and right there just like that and that’s going to be the speakers on the side of the TV and next up we can go ahead and fill in the rest of your wall

But guys you are completely done but if you want to go ahead and place in the whole lights at the top just wait on a second and let me go ahead and finish up this there we go so there is our TV completely done now let’s go ahead and just make sure

Everything looks good at nighttime so I’m going to go ahead and quickly change it over to night time like this boot and now we’re gonna go ahead and start it up to make sure everything is going perfectly so Boop place that in and as

You can see our TV just came on a little bit and as you can see it’s flickering on and off and let’s see if we’ll get a big light coming on and off really soon there we go boom as you see the light just fully came on it’s flickering very

Nicely but what you want to do now is to make sure everything looks perfect and fantastic you want to encase this entire thing you want to make sure only the light is coming through these Pistons right here if it’s coming out of anywhere else it’s not going to look as

Good as it possibly can so we’re gonna go ahead and fill up this whole area and then I’ll show you how you can do the lights at the top area just in case you want the lights to come on and off when you turn your TV on but we’re gonna go

Ahead and just quickly encase this entire thing make sure you do this guys because it’ll make it look a thousand times better if you encase it so we’re gonna just place blocks all the way around it make sure you don’t cut off any of the redstone at all and we’re

Going to come right up here and then place blocks right along this entire area and place blocks right along this entire area as well and that will encase all the light in the back no light should be coming through the back anymore and boom there we have our

Working TV now I’m going to go ahead and set up the lights at the top for people that want it so let’s go ahead and switch it back to daytime if you turn this on survival then I guess you should have the way to check everything but as

Long as you do it in a dark enough room you should be fine and then we’re gonna go ahead and just remove our music just to make sure everything is off so for the lights at the top we’re going to place it in our ceiling I’m going to use

A white stained clay you can use whatever colors that you want but I’m go ahead and quickly place in some like this there we go I’m just gonna place in two lights right here off the front hand side if you want to add in any more

Lights in this then you can go ahead and do that but I’m going to add these two lights right here at the front next I’ll take out some redstone and we’re going to bring our redstone from this area right over here so just dig down here

And we have to find right here right here at the corner right above this hopper is where we’re going to have to place this thing and so let’s go ahead and use a different color how about we use up up up up up above let’s use right

Red looks good so right above this hopper we’re going to place in a block place a piece of redstone right on top of that block and just bring the power up just bring it all the way up to your lights like that and there you guys have it

Now when we place in our music discs down here like so but the lights go off and the TV will come on and the TV will start flickering on and off right now it looks way too bright over here so you can’t really see it as good but you can

Still say you can still see it let’s go ahead and take it out and now we’re going to go ahead and case this entire room uh well no let’s go to some cases we really don’t need to encase the entire room so place a block here now if

You wanted another block right here you’re going to have to use a slab you cannot use a full block or it will cut off the redstone so make sure you use a slab here as you can see did not cut off the right stone if you use a full block

It will cut it off so just make sure you use a slab and then let’s go ahead just in case this thing just a tiny bit more we want to make sure you can’t see any light you don’t want any light coming through that build whatsoever we’re

Gonna take out some more blue I guess and then we’re going to just fill my wall in just a tiny bit more right here and I’m gonna fill it in just a tiny bit more like that and there is the entire thing done so I’m going to quickly

Switch it back over to nighttime so set it tonight and then I’m gonna go ahead and take out my uh die actually get rid of it did notebook I got a ton of them nevermind I got like a thousand of Amami and let me quickly go ahead and just

Turn on my audio so audio turn on my music let’s turn it up to 50 percent and then we can go ahead and listen to cat or guys here we go let’s place in our music cat Boop and it should start playing cat and the TV should come on
