driver ratings so let’s begin with probably the star of the show Kevin Magnus I am going to lock in come on a see and another race ban for km mag the goat a one out of one no [ __ ] him 10 if it was purely entertainment this would be a nine or a 10 it was nothing fun with the Kim out of 10 however this is about how he drove and he drove he that is without a doubt his worst formula one weekend uh hands down not just in the Sprint and what he was doing with leis Hamilton but then you fast forward to the next day thinking maybe going to calmed down now he’s on eight penalty points he might be it might be just just a nice little p19 with no issues but nope sends Logan Sergeant into the wall and then gives Lando Norris a victory so km mag I’m surprised you’ve not been banned but instead he’s going into IM with 10 penalty points rather than 11 because apparently the FIA only give two penalty points for certain things like sending a driver into the wall but if you push someone wide around China no that’s three I have gone true why just burn him for a zero out of 10 yeah true zero Kevin Magnus he shouldn’t be a driver that is there to cause chaos for his teammate like it’s almost a joke really and the reason it’s a zero is not just I wouldn’t even give him a zero for what he did in the Sprint he did everything for his teammate would have been a low grade but he’s qualified way behind hulkenberg in the Sprint qualified way way way away way behind hulkenberg and qualifying so he’s slow as well and then after the [ __ ] was this D open next C cost one more okay so I need to play something all the drama and everything that happened in the Sprint race how you’re then thinking you know what I’m going to put a really audacious move on Logan sergeant of all people is just dumb it’s just really really dumb so he deserves a zero because it’s just it’s just silly driving okay all right well I gave him a one just purely because he helped hulkenberg get a point in the Sprint so he deserve no no he doesn’t deserve deserve a race ban please just him he deserves at least a little one and the fans did not think so because they gave him a zero we now go to Nico hulkenberg Sprint quality 10th Sprint result 7eventh qualified in the for the main race in ninth and finished 11th going for an eight out of 10 for n hulkenberg to get a h into to Q3 in both sessions is just niik hulkenberg things and um yeah it was another oh [ __ ] do I believe in Nik Monon should get let see uh seven I would say maybe the really yeah it was a very impressive weekend from from Hulk actually it’s a shame that he didn’t end up uh with points that’s why it’s maybe not a higher grade because I think you maybe could have got points in the Grand Prix as well based on who did um but it’s still an impressive performance it certainly is I’ve also gone for an eight out of 10 for niik hulkenberg yeah a very solid weekend once again from n hulkenberg that is qualifying it it’s just become a norm now that he gets into yeah that is the norm the norm for Kevin mangon is being bad and hopefully hulay will succeed with um let’s take F1 team kick stubber also Q3 or sq3 and he did that both times in the H so the H still has that raw Pace um but also can now race in the Grand Prix which is uh nice to see and very excited to see what ni hulo can do when he uh goes to well not steak next year but Audi for 2026 the fans gave Nico a seven can’t please them can you well this ass your hard play a C from underclass True Form what sure zunu maybe a five I don’t know anything what he did g for a five out of 10 foru because uh kicks halber showed some very solid promise in China and uh didn’t really work out all too well in Miami uh we we obviously put all of our eggs in one basket for valkyrie botas with our biggest good surprise that didn’t come in uh Z you cut the chicane at the start had to give the place back and then was basically stuck behind albon couldn’t really do much I think that was unfortunately the the oh [ __ ] bot doesn’t need to get that like a fre you4 man St kick stake F1 team kick sober deor is apparently so bad side of the Miami DRS trains was that a lot of drivers just got stuck um and Z was one of them was he stuck though or was that the pace who knows but either a five out of 10 sorry but not particularly exciting don’t care yeah time oh my God one more you have gone for a five out of 10 the [ __ ] what was well played okay wait okay well it all comes down to his qualifying he’s qualifying so poorly because he was you know tried something different in the race and like you say was stuck behind Alburn but you know if he’s not qualifying right at the back every every weekend then he won’t get stuck behind people people it’s a it’s a shame to see because in the races he’s really not as bad but his qualifying is let letting him down so much and it just puts him like completely out of contention and it just makes you wonder like how you how you going to get points really if you’re basically you know starting right the back every weekend so not not a great weekend for Jo the fans gave Joe a oh at least I can trigger that one Rush po at quick out of 10 for Val botas this is the a track and a scenario where he could be getting a good result and he was it was worse than Anonymous he just was like genuinely like with the red ties in the in the race he were nowhere the back and last like all the time um somehow got a high percentage of the the driver of the day vote um but maybe his race was so bad that it just was a bit of a banter I have gone for I’d gone for a five out of 10 for V botas I’m going to stick with why why cuz I don’t think it was that horrendous uh he really was Co um well it was unfortunate timing of the safety car uh which basically screwed him completely he started on the soft tires which I mean a very strange strategy CU I think that was the only driver to start on the softs but um you know Saba just rolling the dice and just hoping something sticks yeah it’s unfortunate because I was really hoping that he would do quite well um alas he did not we now and the fans also gave vry botas a five Yuki Coda Sprint qual 15th Sprint result eth qualified for the main race in 10th finished seventh I am giving Yuki s NOA a nine out of 10 a very very impressive oh [ __ ] uh you could know nine that’s little too high I would say but if you record you get also like a nine then I always say yeah sure for me more performance especially in the main race finishing seventh uh just showing that RB if it qualified well and was in clean air it was cooking uh Danny Rick showed that in the Sprint Yuki soda showed that more in the main race and look it’s impressive is it going to be a flash in the pan for RB who knows but they’ve scored points now um occasions and Yuki soda we just thought the the shift of momentum was happening for Danny Rick with the change of chassis and then Yuki Coda says no and finish the seven well he did good in the spring race so can say somewhat shifted but he shifted back so n out of 10 for me uh I can’t give it a 10 I’m sorry I can I’ve given him a 10 out of 10 it’s a 10 really 10 no out of 10 for the race um in in terms of the fact that why sorry this is 10 out of 10 for the weekend bro yeah I’m explaining my reasoning on then pop off uh he got [ __ ] stupid what a ton of a 10 out of 10 I think you drove an amazing race you know to beat a Mercedes to get seventh when one driver retired and all those top drives we say how impossible it is to get points uh so to finish is pretty unbelievable and then despite a oh [ __ ] okay okay now done come on can I be lucky God damn it s q um he’s redeemed himself with points which is a really good result uh in the end so um I can’t even downgrade him for his Sprint in the end so that’s why I’ve gone for a 10 I think it’s a very very impressive at least nine performance and the fans gave Yuki s an eight wow that’s shocking shocking why would that is absolutely disgusting um but he we all can have our opinions right okay Daniel Ricardo Sprint qualified fourth Sprint result okay Rec oh wait 89 108 or 7 fourth qualified for the main race in 18th but started 20th and finished 15th I’ve gone for an eight out of 10 for Daniel Ricardo true it is such a shame that his qualifying and the main race was so poor because the the Sprint was an unbelievable result I wouldn’t have in a million years okay let’s see uh 8 12 that’s some of lucky [Music] quickly sure thought that one he could qualify forth and two stay there I think that’s the most impressive thing that he stayed there I was convinced that he was going to drop to the low end of the points in the spring well he had color signs behind him we already we have already seen how Kos signs get past people he more or less don’t and of course yeah he had a stinker of a race until he ruins someone r d can get past but uh so people might think that eight is quite high but at the end of the day five five points yes five points for RB is a big score so um why let the oh my God Al this healing he gets oh my God the [ __ ] is this now I get oh my God should have oh my God so annoying regardless of what happens you take five points away from a Grand Prix weekend that is big for RB so he’s got to get a good grade and that is why I’ve also gone for an 8 out of 10 um the Sprint Vol finishing fourth scoring Five Points is the most overwhelming 10 out of 10 performance for that Sprint that it it kind of even said after the Sprint it doesn’t matter what he does now he can literally sit out and do nothing for the rest of the weekend and is still worthwhile for RB what he’s managed in that Sprint and then he showed that if you don’t qualify well but you have a good car around Miami you can’t do anything because he finished 15th and didn’t even make it anywhere close to the points um so yes uh and then he fought Oscar pastri or he just proved that the car or if you qualifying good you can stay where you are right at the end and we so if you qualifying bad you will you will stay you more or less where you are stop fighting please Lando’s winning uh so the I gave him an eight but the fans gave him a seven they cannot be pleased this weekend Logan Sergeant it’s a five out of 10 from me for Logan Sergeant he was doing all right you know I was very impressed I me they not looking at one Sprint race or one qualifying they’re looking at the race also that that Logan was a couple of dnfs away from a point in Sprint that would have been fantastic and then the main race obviously he gets absolutely yeated by Kevin Magnus four maybe oh actually no I’m going to give him a six no forget the five we’re putting up to a six because he was there or thereabouts with with Alex albon so I’ll I’ll give him I’ll give him an extra point for that um but yes then gets wiped out by K so I can’t give him any higher than a six but not not the worst weekend for Logan Sergeant yeah I’ve gone for a five out of 10 straight down the middle for for Logan it was a decent weekend impressed in the in the Sprint kind of came through the field on the soft tires again qualifying letting him down but I think the most impressive thing this weekend for him was he wasn’t he’s more where he should be in relation to to Alban uh and it’s a shame think five’s fair then really yes because well well yeah because of where Albin yeah for what upgrade I’m giving Albin yeah it is fair Loi sge needs some respect on his name but anyway fair enough uh and the fans also agree with you because they gave him a five they don’t care this weekend H okay let’s move to Alex albon then who Sprint qualified in 20th finished the Sprint in 13th he did actually start the Sprint from the pit Lane and then in the main race qualified 14th and finished 18th I’ve gone for a four out of 10 for Alex Alin I know the Williams isn’t where it should be at the moment and it’s it’s struggling but I’m surprised Alex hasn’t got a point yet you know like Aon for example true it’s so depressing he should have a point you know drag that Alpine to a point has a getting points uh and Alex really needs to kind of step up and have a good weekend and when we’ve seen in the past that that Williams can have a you know a cheeky little Sprint point and do do really good things in it so yeah they can apparently not this season now H is doing that yeah I think it’s a a really disappointing uh weekend for album to be honest for Alex I’ve given him a five I just feel as though that Williams is absolutely horrendous um but for his standard of five the main race was not showing any kinds of pace then that mistake that he ran very wide but I’m not going to be too harsh on him because that Williams does genuinely look like an absolute dog around this Miami circuit uh so it’s a five from me and Alex gets a five from the can I maybe win this hopefully as well estan Sprint okon all right Al seven Al a COR seven qu 13th finished the Sprint in 15th qualified for the main race in 13th and finished 10th I am giving estban Aon a nine out of 10 okon scored a point I’m going to have to give him a high grade because that’s not something that Alpine have done all year and I still you know Aon and gazley what a what a fight on lap one that is is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen in my entire life and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to process it uh but Aon drove really well I think he is driving better than gazley at the moment and he scored a point so well done indeed I have also gone for a n out of 10 foron n he is quite quietly uh being very impressive this season was say I think he’s getting his head down and just getting on with it he drove a a very good race and enjoyed the the battle that he had witho as well um good to see them fighting and and keeping it clean and even cheeky little selfie at the end which was good to see no need for Amazon Prim m [Music] fans gave estban an eight wow we let’s go to Pierre gazley now Sprint qualified in 16th finished the Sprint in ninth and then qualified for the main race in 12th and finished 12th gone for a seven out of 10 for Pierre gazley Sprint result was really impressive um very close to getting a point uh and he he was unfortunate with the safety car timing uh I think him and Aon weren’t a million mil apart um and obviously o oh [ __ ] what did they say about GLE Sprint result was really impressive no seven so eight for for me and gly seven um very close to getting a point uh and he he was unfortunate with the safety car timing I think him and Aon weren’t a million miles apart um and obviously Aon will get the the plaudits for being the first one on the board but I think gley still drove a good race so he’s getting a seven I’ve also gone for a seven you know solid weekend as you say the Sprint was was impressive unfortunately had no reward for that uh but I think it’s coming uh Alpine are heading in the right direction do they enter formula a at some point maybe uh but it’s going to take a lot more I think than what they’ve currently done um and uh yeah the fans wow we they gave Pierre gazley a five what what was in your cornflakes when you were voting for these goodness gracious me Lance stroll Sprint qualified seventh did not finish the Sprint qualified oh he should a free 11th and finished 17th threee have gone for a four out of 10 for Lance stroll I still think a lot of people are blaming Alonzo for that Sprint start oh he’s crashing into to stroll and yeah Alonzo had his part to play but he was oh [ __ ] trying his best to to to negotiate a Hamilton being dive bom me and Lance just does his usual thing of just turning in and I know he doesn’t he didn’t get that much criticism I don’t think for that but I think he should have I’m not saying he’s fully at fault for that but he he could just run wider and have more awareness uh but we’ve said that he can’t he L roll he would drive like his paid to be there oh [ __ ] he is many many occasions for l strol and then the main race again he pitted very early similar to what gazley did didn’t work out for him and goodness gracious me he then gets a 10-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage ends up 17th shocking sure is I’ve gone for a for our test Lance strollers give him a free well of course he beat Alonzo and qualifying but you have to back it up by delivering a good race which is normally where Lance is much better than in qualifying and actually he was pretty atrocious and you know dropped down the order got penalties um was just generally quite well I say quite poor very poor you should be finishing 17th uh in a race when um you know you’ve qualified much higher than your teammate uh and when you’ve got the likes of yioda and hon in the points Lance should not be finishing 17 think Falls a little bit too he should have free but I’ve locked it in now uh the fans have given Lance a five all right why a five loll no you should have a three oh okay now the fans you know they’re like L yeah yeah that’s crazy let’s go to Fernando now spring qualified a oh [ __ ] alonsa okay that one is at least done ah we are done time for the next account let’s see Alon six or a five finished the Sprint in 17th well didn’t technically really finish did he and then qualified for the main race in 15th and finished 9th gone for a six out of 10 for Fernando Alonzo I think it is a wasted opportunity I I have to sort of leave my fan boym aside I can’t say that Alonzo’s not had a bit of a a shocker of a weekend really um he should have got more from the Aston Martin do you think in the Sprint um that it’s definitely Hamilton’s fault uh Lance has a bit to blame for turning in Alonzo has a bit to blame as well for going a bit deep um so he’s not entirely innocent um but still still unlucky there so yeah it’s a 6 out of 10 for Fernando I’ve also gone for a 6 out of 10 uh of course scored a couple of points but he was just not yeah he had a bad uh weekend let’s see play free game as rug Shaman or warlock more Shaman games oh and we will see if the deck I just made made yesterday I think will be good probably not not working with the car this weekend and it’s a rare occasion to see Fernando Alonzo struggling especially in comparison to his teammate in qualifying being out qualified by larm stroll on both occasions is um almost unforgivable I would say on from Fernando’s standards and then he fought tooth and nail scored a couple of points so it can’t be any lower than a six um but I think that pretty much sums up beautifully and the fans also agree with a six out of 10 Oscar piastri Sprint qualified sixth finished the Sprint in sixth qualified for the main race in Sixth and finished 13 oh that’s so depressing see wait didn’t they go do [ __ ] did it say to hear youre Sprint yes six so he did somewhat good in the Sprint now this is probably the highest grade to for anyone to ever get for finishing 13th and scoring three points in the Sprint but I’m giving him a nine out of 10 nine oh okay what would I pick first capacity I was remember AOS piastri because I think it was one of the most impressive drives from him in that main race especially uh to utilize the chaos a little bit at the start with Perez nearly sending for staffen into the shadow realm Oscar placed his car beautifully managed to get through on charl Clair was running in second and who knows what could have happened in that second stint with Max going over that Ballard but damage Could Oscar have won the race there is a definite possibility that that could have happened instead f with Carlos signs it didn’t work out front wing broke and then from there it was it was pain but I still think he deserves a really high grade because Oscar drove incredibly well uh so yeah that’s why I’m giving him a nine it’s not the highest grade cuz I’m giving him a 10 out of 10 um for that which I know and I’m going to argue I’m going to argue the next one because you need to behave on the next one cuz you’re going to give Lando a 10 and Oscar was just as good as Lando all weekend I right so let me let me go into the details so Oscar beat Lando in the Sprint qualified better in the Sprint uh he got a better start in the race uh he was on course to finish maybe second before a safety car and at the end of the day it’s driver ratings and not results ratings so he would have had uh a brilliant result if the race pned out normally and he was extremely unlucky I think that was the best Drive of his uh career so far in a Grand Prix interesting okay all right well I’m still sticking with a nine um the fans gave Oscar piastri an eight Lando Norris Sprint qualified ninth Sprint result did not finish qualified for the main race in fifth and finished first I’ve gone for an eight no I haven’t I’ve gotone for oh wait uh nor race what would I pick for Norris the springro was bad but the race was good and the qualifying was somewhat half bad good nine for a 10 out of 10 for Lando Norris okay so you still G him a 10 yeah i’ still giving him a 10 but what I’d argue is that it kind of it’s not it should be nine a perfect weekend I think Lando himself would admit that that might not be best weekend but he has won so it’s a 10 out of 10 because of what he did with theen at the end but if you look at the whole weekend his Sprint qual he let let down there got taken out of the race which you know and then he was behind piastri fortunate with the safety car but what he did at the end was so good nice uh and so deserving of the 10 because he basically put all the haters but still T being a race winner you sure a t but the spring the qualifying I mean like this is just giving on 10 points because he won a race to say like shut up I can do this and he proved it so it’s a 10 out of 10 I have also gone for a 10 out of 10 valando Norris uh it is interesting how you say that you know are very they skew the the ratings quite a lot but you cannot give anything other than a 10 for Lando you can give a high n just the way that as you say he drove away at the end Max of course did pick up some damage after his mistake on the on the Ballard so I would be interested to see how much time he lost with that slight floor damage that he got from that uh but Lando just drove away just absolutely nerves of Steel put in the position that he’s been longing for for so so long since nerves of Steel now if Max was one second after him the whole race after he’s starting to lead and he still one then I was in nervous still but Max dropped off so he didn’t have he didn’t need to have the ner Ste Russia 2021 and he delivered so 10 out of 10 and the fans also gave Lando A10 caros signs Sprint quality fifth finished the Sprint fifth qualified third finished fifth I’ve gone for a seven out of 10 for Carlos signs I Love How wait oh [ __ ] Carlos signs um I didn’t get past p [Music] in the spring race right oh no oh done record didn’t get past oh my God it was even worse we just dropping everything and 100% we probably lose after this but oh [ __ ] he didn’t get pass downard then in the race he didn’t get past 3 in a good way until he crashed him out almost and then got the penalty then dropped off after s p so yeah maybe a salmon be even Max for stappen was like you know what Lando congratulations you won if my mother had balls she’d be my dad that sort of stuff caros oh nice I I this will kill one of my Min and it don’t comes out of it he like I would have won that race had I got more fortunate with the safety car I was ahead of Lando blah blah blah blah blah I don’t know whether Carlos would have won that race I mean firstly that would have been unbelievable had he again utilized or you know extracted the maximum as soon as Max has a problem uh but I’m not convinced he was slightly slower than Char all weekend I love how there’s not been any talk about Charlotte Clair back on top in that particular teammate rivalry uh it seems like people only gas up on one particular side of that but uh still caros had a good weekend but it’s uh yeah no more than a seven for me I have gone for a 7 as well it was a good a good drive but um not too much better stuff in the spring than race hugely special I think the you know the P stre incident it was a ambitious move that didn’t quite quite pay off and uh yeah it it was it was not good um and I think the penalty was deserved cuz we’ve not spoken since he actually got one it was a I think it was a good penalty to not I think it is worthy of a five like it’s not a 10 or a 20 the fans gave Carlos a seven as well Char Sprint qualified second oh this is the nine oh wait how did he and the both been TR in uh sh Clair oh spring too and then three in the race so nine finish in second qualifi of those three laps or one in the practice so finish the main race in third Maybe a 10 get out looking at those results blck what is going on here it’s hard to fault him so if I’m going by the same logic that I’ve given Lando a 10 and Oscar a 10 and Yuki a 10 then it’s got to be a 10 so well done charlot CL I think he was very very impressive delivered in qualifying it was the it was the shell that we know in qualifying in particular and then raced brilliantly um as well and delivered again just getting the maximum the exact match I would say Char Clair more deserve aan than Norris because how the Sprint and qualifying being for Norris but uh [ __ ] should 100% that time he could well he’s finished in the top four in every single Grand Prix and uh he continues that uh Trend after this weekend I cannot give him a 10 I’m going to give him a nine uh oh can I kill it with this can force spells let’s see I mean it almost killed it oh to of course he made that error in fp1 the [ __ ] you doing you’re you’re the sh Clair and Ferrari fan are you give him a knife back foot a little bit so you do Wonder had he had some more learnings uh [ __ ] off is hard it my is God damn it come on give me nope uh weekend he got absolutely Chef on in the main Race by Lewis Hamilton uh considering there was a safety car the [ __ ] return that didn’t happen at least I got a somewhat good secret okay that happened oh my God first time playing this card sure life Ste wind furry Li is not needed after hero ATT someone random eight cost minion battle deal six damage [ __ ] yeah this is okay so this is 100% a card fighting a Red Bull just driving off to him that I will Define as fighting over here okay eight points because he was fighting in Red Bull when he just drew off him I was Max in fighting London Nores no was even not even fans gave him a seven Sergio Perez I’m going to give him s p Sprint he was three and then he was four but more and less five a sevenz I’m going to give him a seven uh I was flirting with a six or a seven but I’ll give him a seven uh because the Red Bull wasn’t anywhere near as dominant as the rest of the weekend uh weekend season sorry uh and to finish third and then obviously get fourth as well it was by no mean Fe an incredible weekend for Perez um but if you look at where Max was it’s uh it’s not a disaster uh he is very lucky to not get a zero after the first corner of the first lap of the main race my so louon should also get a Ser goodness because he actually crashed into Alonso he he needs to buy a lottery ticket after that cuz it was I’ve never seen a closer uh non impact I think for a very very long time yeah he was a millimeter away from getting a like you say but I have gone for a seven as well Perez should be winning these races that Max either has a problem or a rare off day or you know Max has made a mistake and Perry should be the one picking up the pieces so he’s but he’s absolutely nowhere I mean us said Ferrari M should also be there if Max isn’t there so what do you mean near doing that and I think that’s where the frustration lies but then you actually look on paper that he’s third third fourth fourth and it’s solid enough like it’s not nothing spectacular but I can’t give him a six for getting you know a good amount of points on the board true the fans gave Perez a six and finally Maxx I’m nine maybe High nine maybe T but race one the uh Sprint race one qualifying one then race two that’s n the [ __ ] not a massive one in the sense of what it cost him still second place uh but it was a mistake and may well have given us yeah the whole week of noris is a mistake except in the end what the [ __ ] a showdown to remember had he not picked up that damage the fans also gave Max a nine and that is it who is r P1 well Alex Alan had like was it out the three laps the the T was bad 50° Celsius and what was happening was that if you extracted just a little bit too much performance out of that first sector out of those high speed Corners the tires were done you weren’t able to get a lap time out of them afterwards the converse is and our drivers did it many divers commented the same if you under hit that first sector in order to have the rest of the lap you weren’t sure how much time you left on the table and it was a fine Balancing Act between those two but in those very very warm temperatures the tires were just overheating and struggling as the result the second point that you may be referring to is Alex’s large lockup that he had in the race that wasn’t related to the tires actually on lap 50 Alex went across the same Ballard that V staffen did and he oh yeah he just something happened FL and the damage was huge we didn’t realize how much instantaneously but just a LP later it became very clear how much it was and it was something Circa a second or so of that time performance just to give everyone an idea and it meant that when he hit the brakes coming into 11 there was no down Force to stop the car he locked up lost all those positions and went off answering the question slightly back to fun but let’s talk about what is better than last year and then we’ll talk about what we need to do to make it quicker from where it is today so last year’s car had a very significant front locking problem you just very much hit the brakes just a little bit too hard you would front lock miss the Apex by a long long way and that doesn’t appear anymore that’s gone the track oh nice that is something good with this SC also specificity of the car last year was high in other words there were tracks where it was very very performant and others where it was very poor this year’s car is is actually a lot more balanced across near enough yeah and it feels look like that also that Williams doesn’t have this TR we are really good at and then we have tracks we are really bad at L they have a lot of tracks They are just okay with and hopefully all that information will then lead to even better car for next year so they can be good and not just okay all tracks but we’re not quick enough in part that’s a development race that we’ fallen behind on and we’ll catch that back up over the next few races but also in part it’s another characteristic of the car that we’re working on and I hope across IMA Monaco and Canada we should be addressing that the other attribute of the car is that we’re struggling a little bit to get a balance between all of the high speed corners and the low speed corners as well so a number of items that we’re working on in the background but the actual package itself has quite good performance one more fish for the collection it’s been fantastic having ped on board it allows us to really have more than one person having eyes on on what issues we have today and where we want to be in one year 3 years and five years from now because that’s the time period what the [ __ ] did did it say and where we want to be in one year haven’t it allows us to number of teams that have clawed themselves back up into a successful position and he knows how to effectively create the foundations to get there we have a lot to do day to-day what Pat’s looking at is what are we doing in order to make sure that we work from just one car program to three car programs how do we structure ourselves within the design office but also how do we work with operations in order to get the time it takes from an idea track significantly what facilities do we need how do we bring everyone together what ideas are being captured and are they being worked in the right way how should Arrow work together with a design office all of these are sort of by hiring and right Global questions and long-term and Midterm questions that we’re dealing with so his input is invaluable and it’s one around not what we do necessarily shortterm how we bring perform for IM but more around how we create structures processes and systems that allow us to get more and more performance for every hour that we’re working and that in turn have big impacts on what we do with a 47 48 and Beyond see where does this leave Logan’s car for IMA and are the still bringing for performance to em let’s see as mentioned the damage was extensive and at a point in the season where we’re trying to focus on bringing future performance it does hinder us and hold us back slightly you still need a stock of elements in order to go racing it was rear suspension gearbox and floor it won’t have a material knock on on the next three races because simply those W in the pipeline along the way through IMA might be a little bit more tough than it was previously we have to work around what componentry we have as a result of it and that’s half good to hear not like you will have got points with him Midway [ __ ] the main thing I’m looking forward to over the next two weeks is that we’re done with the Flyway races and that means I can dedicate time here in Grove with the team as to how we execute our long-term plan how do we not just bring the performance that we’re playing across the next two races but bring significant performance to the mar of the season to next year’s season to the 48 and those are the real questions that come out of where we are now but more importantly that’s the focus that I have and the fact I’m excited by it is a positive thing there was plenty of good new stories hotel in Aventura Miami and what a day it was today Daniel Ricardo absolutely killed it in the Sprint race ending up fourth oh [ __ ] Lon noris run over the track did he get any penalty for that or a fine or did everyone forgot that that thing happened later on the day not so good so the race started at 12:00 noon and by the time he’ got round turn two he was actually in third position I looked up at the board and thought whoa yeah got past c p is some amazing and I was almost hoping man po Podium for ricardio that would be amazing but it’s a spring race so it will not actually contest a Podium we are in for a ripper of a day here 19 laps later he crossed the line in fourth position in the media pen post race he said fighting towards the front is so much nicer he had Carlos in his mirrors for much of the race but he held Carlos at Bay and crossed the line fourth and there was much joy after the race with his team coming down to park F Daniel having to weigh in first and then he made a beline for his crew they weren’t huge in numbers I’m guessing they’re about six or so and you could clearly see that he was buzzing after that race it looks like the new chassis has certainly done its part and Daniel’s driving was exceptional I had a chat with one of his I was going to say support crew but it’s really one of his friends and he said Daniel had a small group of people this race to support him including his girlfriend Heidi burer who arrived at the track with him today in fact wearing these yellow sunnies that Daniel had picked up at a function the night prior so having finished four there was much excitement in the padic as to whether or not he could do even better in qualifying later in the afternoon at 400 p.m. the pit Lights Went green and all the cars filed out and how did Daniel do in qualifying bloody awful yeah nothing as the Sprint spring qualifying and the spring R 17th is such a huge difference from the morning to to the afternoon I followed him uh back to the TV media pen where he was explaining what had happened uh not that I could hear what was going on you probably know more than me as to what went wrong but it was just a roller coaster ride and that’s what one of his crew said to me earlier in the day Daniel realizes that F1 is a roller coaster unless you Max for stappen but there’s only one Max for stappen but definitely this is a cruel sport that can put you up on a high in the morning and in the afternoon clob you down I think what it’s done for Daniel though is shown his team that he indeed can do this and I think that’s going to buy him some time because there has been some talk that Liam Lawson might get that seat I don’t see that happening in the next few weeks and who knows what’s going to happen tomorrow he may well make up a few places and once again come out with a big I’m not believe more sorry if we get this got to see uh I know stolen don’t recardio mean smile at the end I certainly hope so because I think the sport needs Daniel Ricardo in a car the sport need the car I wouldn’t say [Music] that one did he was it turn 22 oh yeah he was still in mlar turn 22 and then was half the season 2023 out okay the foxes doesn’t look like they are dying off so the start of the season of 20 23 worked really good without recardio so not behind a microphone let’s go back to that Sprint race because I was at turn one photographing the field as they went round I uh was preps a little bit tight on the action when the cars came towards me and then I followed and I don’t know why I land to follow around but luckily I did because I managed to get this picture of land well when I say this picture I got 9/10 of his car in the air after he had that collision and uh the I when I was photographing I had no idea that he even been turned around it was only when I panned further to the left that I saw his car facing the opposite direction and off wait you sued to take all that photos and you doesn’t realize that and then he got out of his car he walked across the track and down yeah did he get on P so what’s called any P pit Lane and I understand that there is an investigation going on now into that particular incident it is very similar to what happened with lisis Hamilton in Kata last year where he too walked across the track but am I right in thinking there’s a huge fine for this I’ve just done my homework in the DDS he did get a fine he got a f so he did but nobody mention it [ __ ] 50,000 which is suspended commits a similar offense so really it’s a warning and what should he have done well I understand he should have got off the track on the same side of it that he crashed on which meant he would have been on the outside of the track and probably not have been able to get back to his garage for quite some time perhaps um 20 probably the end of the race because it’s only a short race I’m not sure what it is about Miami but it certainly attracts the partners and today I think we had pretty much just about everyone’s partner in attendance George Russell arrived with his girlfriend Carmen I loved her top I thought it was very classy Kelly P was also in pit Lane no pictures to speak with his girlfriend Melissa himz with his sister Lorena and Lorena’s daughter along with his mom Anna that’s the first time I’ve seen his mom at the track Pier gast’s girlfriend ke was with him although I didn’t get a photo of them as they came so so you can say a lot of money was spent to just get all these people there I’m in today ni hulkenberg’s wife egay is also with us or sunny as she’s better known to her friends and family and interestingly um Tiffany Cromwell came in with valter today and I asked them about these fans that I photographed the other day I said did you realize these people were out there and they said yes they are super fans we have met them we can confirm their status as super fans and they are lovely people they also believe those shirts are pretty expensive to get um perhaps I should get them but at the moment all I have um is bucket hats and this the blue one there’s still some of those left for pre-order they haven’t actually been made yet actually went for a hot lap with Louis Hamilton now I imagine that must be something special to go for a lap with a seven time world champion and I photograph yeah that only merch and can maybe get two points per weekend must be really amazing to be with after Kendall’s mother going back to in Monaco going back a few years ago now while we’re on the subject of Lewis let me tell you about his something so spectacular and if you’re lucky enough to get that particular dish when you go to the F1 garage I think you too will give it a 9.6 out of 10 oh and there’s also a little moist towet ceremony that they go through where they the [ __ ] oh [ __ ] the [ __ ] is that food thing special and Gary cutliff is the chef and he made me this stunningly presented an extremely tasting dish of anyone of note that walked into that Stadium area we get similar reactions but on a much smaller scale say in Brazil where the crowd sit just above the TV media pen but there’s certainly not several thousand like there is in this particular Stadium it’s something that really stands this race out from anything else briefly I want to tell you about this helmet this is estan aon’s helmet and the Grand Prix so far it’s been hellishly hard work there’s no doubt about that hot uh humid but the fans seem to be quite excited although I did not that the moment qual finished the stands were absolutely emptied very quickly I’m not sure what to read into that but um I quite like the Hard Rock stadium as a background for some of our images I think it it’s interesting and shooting a little bit wider like in I an interesting but man this is [ __ ] future Formula 1 I this 250 Formula 1 every Formula 1 uh Grand PR is in the cities and these shots here means that you can certainly place this particular track another thing that made me laugh today and I’ve seen this done before with Nick Dev where the vcar driv is draging a roller bag not that there’s anything in there it’s purely a
