FTB Interactions EP30 Infusion and Alchemy Prep

Hello everyone this is double 20 and welcome to episode 30 of ftb interactions where today i’m uh expanding just a little bit some stuff so i want a logistics chassis here and we’re going to put in a polymorphic and a provider module hooray we will probably have to do that

A little bit here and there as time goes on not the end of the world right but uh i i got to the point where my resources chest is full so i’m doing what i typically do which is splitting the resources chest between dusts and ingots right i’ve been processing some

More service quartz because i wanted to have some more quartz shards but like i think it’s i think it’s time right so anything that’s a dust or a gem uh i’m gonna just place uh in here right and that seems like a good time so like all this stuff anything that’s a gem

Or a dust so like diamonds emeralds quartzite pretty much anything that’s not a metal ingot i think would uh would qualify sure i guess flint and appetite also qualify sure why not so today’s episode i have uh do i sound like i have a plan

I don’t have a plan i’m bad at plans all right so you should be cool right a few more dusts and gems to move and that should be pretty good yeah i like that that is way cleaner and more organized one could make the argument that because we’re like

Kind of doing everything over here we don’t super need organization over here you know what that’s a fine argument to make you could make that argument if you want be my guest that is the end of that sentence i don’t have anything further to say on the matter

I think it’s fine if you want to do that right if you want to say that you could say that but i mean i like i like a little bit of organization in my chest even though most of it’s going through the ae system right or the logistics pipe system so

Let’s see i’ve got some quests to hand in uh i went exploring a little bit found myself in uh emerald vein hooray uh so that’s part of why we’ve got some stuff going on up here i wanted more air infused ore uh so as a result i went exploring and found

It was like way up here-ish everything’s loading up uh this general direction or diamond or stib knight or ignis there it is or emerald like right on the edge of this little watery area i climbed up this little mountain and found uh i saw a plant that i hadn’t

Seen before i’m like what plant is that uh and it was like a green one like a lily pad almost but like on sand so i was like that’s weird looking uh like a tall it’s hard to describe what the plant looked like but uh i i was like that is pretty much

What it looked like cataplant yeah so it’s like a little lily pad on top i was like never seen that before and i looked it up i’m like oh that’s an emerald vein and that’s air uh that’s where we get air stone so did a little mining uh got a little bit

More gems of all different kinds basically so that’s cool um let’s see what else do we got quest wise here i never really actually did this yet one of the things we have to do for sure is oil processing uh we definitely want to look at that i

Don’t know if that’s what we’re going to do today i think i want to stick with magic for a little bit because we did so much greg techery i want to progress through magic a little bit more i want to get thom craft and fusion crafting going because there’s a lot of

Infusion crafting recipes it seems uh having access to that would be cool uh i would like to you know do the essentia transmission stuffs like these guys the filling essentials and all that would be super cool to have that would also make bronze crafting a little bit easier which would also be great

I’d like to automate alchemy so we don’t have to use this thing no more that would be super cool uh and that’s kind of the plan uh for what i’d like to do right away uh let’s see my lucky star we we made this uh starlight crafting altar a while

Back but i never picked it up so i never actually got stuff right so i never actually got the quest rewards for it so i broke the block and picked it up and i got some things hooray uh let’s see what else we got here celestial research notes uh

Various celestial research notes on constellations are now craftable with access to the starlight altar you could create a few of the basic variants that interest you for future research and attunement note that these no longer appear in temples ah good to know seven uses potion of flight that’s kind of cool

That’s kind of cool i like the sound of that i do at some point we’re gonna need on the diamond chest up here to do more junk collection but we’ll deal with that when the time comes uh what else we got under menomona yeah i picked up my mana spreader and got a

Mana potency lens that’s cool beans you can go on there and look we’ve got a full look at that a full manifold with plenty of oil coming in i had to move my oil oil was being weird you know what two things one i totally noticed that i did something wrong

Where’s my oil well i relocated it so over there is where my old oil well was and i built out to here so i didn’t put a range add-on on the thing my bad so i made one between episodes um level three is made from level two with iron and rubber

Level two is made with lapis and rubber and level one is made with arcane stone and rubber that’s about as far as you can get uh for now uh foregoing range upgrade i could have gotten a level four but that needs you to start with like the better greg tech circuit which

I think these are mv circuits but i’m not sure i always forget i know there’s a quest i can look at to show me right and then from there it upgrades five six seven eight nine and it goes up to until you get to this tier uh

10. but this is a pretty good working area it covers most of where the oil is going to be so i think we’ll be fine so not having that in there i think is why we very quickly ran out of oil over there that said i tried to place the the fluid pump

On top of the oil that’s still there and it just refused to pick it up it recognized the filter of oil so it knew it was supposed to get oil but nothing i could do could make it pump again so what i did is i said forget about it

Let’s just move over to this other oil well over here and there’s probably other oil wells we can find at some point right and you know i know there was one like more off in that direction so you know that’s cool back home we go

So i just wanted to note a couple things between episodes of miscellaneous stuff i did i like you know unclaimed the chunk over there reclaimed that one did chunk loading all the good stuff right so let’s look at infusion crafting today i think that’s what i should

Really focus on getting set up i think that’s the next task let’s go through a few things that i know we need to work towards okay deal so one thing we should do is work our way towards the nether however to get to the nether we’re going to need this stuff

Most of which is easy right obsidian follow me on plate steel plates angel block is a starlight crafting altar that’s not terrible uh flawed quartzite we’ve already been making so that ain’t a big deal uh however we also need liquid death a bucket’s worth because we need 10 of these

And it’s 100 ml buckets per craft so we need 10 of these to make a portal to the nether uh which will also be a lot of fun not so i should also consider things like uh i don’t know some better armor maybe a ranged weapon of sorts

Like before we go to the nether i think we should be prepared for combat right i’ve been very lucky in that i found a couple peaceful candles so i’ve not had to deal with too many mobs around my base also i think in the latest version he changed the

Config option so that zombies no longer break torches if i’m right about that i can probably easily light up a big area courtesy of my building gadget in uh in uh in grid mode so that would be cool to consider so let’s get started doing thalmcraft today right so

This is going to be my astral area over here like i i don’t have like super big plans on how i want to expand out my whole area and and have you know a lot of cool stuff maybe should magic be over in this general location

Or is that too far outside the range of protection um other things we could do obviously would be to expand out over here on this side of things that might be cool we could have like a thumb crafty area over here that might be neat like this area here

Could be our thumb craft area what do you think about that i could just get a building gadget to flatten out like a big yeah i know anvil you’re uh well you take a long time to break mr anvil what is your problem sir thank you i’m gonna put you

Elsewhere you can go in that corner because i moved my cauldron that used to be there uh so let’s get a bunch of cobblestone weathered bricks and we can expand out i like the idea of having like a nice big area within which to do stuff and then we’ll

Uh do some torch placement grid style and that’ll be a nice start until we get i mean we have glowstone so we could totally do that glowstone nooks by the way are totally a thing which until now zombies couldn’t break uh so now zombies don’t break nothing so not a

Big deal either way so let’s flatten out a terrain so we want you in horizontal wall mode yeah that’s what’s up so we’ll just have like a nice big thumb crafty area does that sound fun i didn’t want that i want you more like that okay that seems neat it’ll just be like

A nice big platform for which we will do thumb craft on right and am i too close to my base for some flux events the answer is probably yes i’m hoping that i’m smart enough to well flux might be a problem so the other thing we can do is set up a

Teleporter system to teleport back and forth between our main base and the thorncraft area Maybe let’s try out grid mode so i want you to be a smaller range and i want you to place on top i forget what range is good here but seven might be cool if we do that are you gonna yeah well lit perfect and then you click

On top of the same block here and that’ll get oh that’s almost perfect i love how almost perfect that is super perfect see if you click on the right block see i’m clicking on this block here it expands the grid so it’s a very quick and easy way to

Light up a large area which i appreciate right lining up a large area is good how cool is that not too shabby all right thumb crafty time so what we want to get into let’s start it here and if we start having flux problems we can move it to another location

That’s kind of where i’m at thinking wise hopefully that’s not a stupid move on my pot we’ll find out so thumb crafty book talk to me what is our plan so first step i think should be to work towards essentia smelting right i think that would be cool

So i think i need one of each crystal type which is another part of the reason why i went mining i mean you can definitely make these in the cauldron and some of these i did make in the cauldron but you know oh my goodness that’s a lot of accenture

I really just want to click the button it’s going to give me a lot of warp though i really want to click the button i don’t want to do research i just want to build all right so the reason i was processing all this service quartz

Uh is because you know i wanted to have more quartz shards ready to roll and that’s what we got going on so let’s uh i’m gonna just drop a few things in here like you hey nice so what i’m doing is just accumulating some of these things

I on one hand i want to just like click the button and get the cheese right and do all the things but on the other hand i want to you know also be smart and not have a ton of flux also i looked at the quest there and i

Don’t think i quite actually have access to it yet so this is a task that adds research for eldritch but this you actually have to craft the cheaters thalmanominom um and you will get that but we need fengaram gem which is something astral which i don’t remember

Existing and we don’t have um crafted in world with glowstone dust and rock crystal and liquid starlight so we might be able to make this right now if we wanted to yeah we’ll see i just don’t want all the flux and or warp all right if i’m not mistaken that’s everything i needed

Hooray essentia smelting now we need to do a theory of alchemy and we have to make an essential smelter everybody going to the pool all right theory of alchemy that’s this dude all right so did a little bit of research now fyi having a bunch of these crystals is helpful

Uh for research purposes i should really organize some of this stuff i don’t think you need to be in here at the moment buddy in order to really you speaking of i haven’t checked on this farm in a bit uh 43 not bad i’m technically 47 now uh so that completes the

Uh aspects of this now i need an essentia smeltery i think that’s a quest is that a quest there’s a quest here that’s like cool the alchemical construct is the quest it gives me the other pieces that i need which is nice so essentia smeltery uh so we’re gonna want four brass plates

A crucible three seared stone and an lv machine hole so seared stone comes with grout around one of these flowers right isn’t that about right yep that’ll be your seared stone covered cool uh and then we need another crucible i like to i generally like to have an extra crucible laying around

So i think i just need some salis mundus and throw it on this cauldron i have in here and that’s about it do we have extra sales hanging around not in here i might have some outside if not i’ll make more let’s see extra sales mundus uh yeah one extra actually

Exactly one nice i can always make more if i need to remember thank you and then uh what else do i need for the essentia smelter uh four brass plates and that’s about it all right let’s give this thing a shot thank you so essential smell three go

Nice that’s what’s up all right quest complete essentia smelter that was a quest i knew it would be somewhere there it is no rewards boo boo boo no reward boo complete all right now we need the olympics right and we want two of these generally right at least two of these

Alembics uh we’ll need great wood planks and essentius melters and more brass plates and essentius melters are gonna be gold plates silver wood and white carpet so silverwood comes from silverwood saplings which is a starlight transformation so we might need to look into making a lens

Doesn’t look that bad but we need a collector crystal for our lens don’t we are collector crystals a thing we can make yet i don’t know so there are floating crystals is what they’re called so that’s a thonic infusion so we’re going to need to do some thermic infusion to get collector

Crystals going or we can do it that way interesting interesting so it needs an attuned rock crystal there or regular rock crystal will get floating crystal what about one of these also that’s celestial only okay i wonder if i can use that starlight over there to do it what do you think

I think that’s doable we’re gonna find out i was just wondering if it was like uh easy right to actually we might have some extra great wood sapphires don’t we did we get great with saplings i would have thought we would have do we not get great wood saplings from

The great wood trees or they may be in this chest that could also be oh there they are sweet well we’ll still make more because it doesn’t hurt so let’s head over to this place so we want our we want our linking tool now right that’s what we’re going to want

In order to use this so we’re going to want a crystal a couple wood it looks like any wood yeah any wood any sticks two aquamarine and a rock crystal right so rock crystal two aquamarine any sticks and two wood so now we can do some of this stuff and

Starlight transformation i think can lead to some cool things now it stinks that it’s all the way over there but maybe what we’ll do is set up a teleporter network to and from might not be a terrible idea oh wow that needs a lot of that needs a lot of

Starlight power i hope we have enough of that we’re gonna find out in a minute uh let’s wait for night time see if we have enough and if the answer turns out to be no which it just might be weird that those who didn’t convert

Right uh but if the answer turns out to be no which it just might be we might have to set up some uh other stuff like the the relays maybe we should look into those real quick while we’re uh getting to that point give me all the foods

Uh you we’re gonna want this and this so the relays should be doable at this point right we’re in the attunement chapter so that’s where some of the crystal lenses come in focus starlight all that cool stuff we’ll be able to make those in a minute

I wonder if i can like beam directly from the crystal onto it or what but we’ll we’ll see um i don’t know if we actually need that thing or if we can like aim the crystal directly at the sapling right or do we have to aim the crystal at one of these first

Yeah let’s look at uh where are the relays i don’t see them in this chapter so maybe they’re here i’m assuming the process is pretty similar spectral relay uh so it needs brass screws but otherwise not terrible and uh we need the squiggly and the cubed and a city

Okay i mean you know we’re gonna want these anyway right so four squiggly and four cubed let’s do two of them right so we’ll do eight of these and perfect we have eight of those already and then we just need the relays which needs brass screws um spectral relay we’ll need brass screws

Right so that we can just do the normal brassing kits for so we’ve got a file let’s get two of them i think two is what we want i think two is what we want so that’s two screws per relay right yes so we’re gonna want two more brass so let’s do that

And then this and then this there we go for those and then for the actual relay crafting which is going to be a luminous we’re going to want some aquamarines two chiseled right so that would be two more of you infused wood i think we

Have outside if not it’s not a big deal and then we’re gonna want eight aqua brains who were short on aquamarines how do we make these again uh sapphires sapphire sapphire sapphire good i do have some sapphire war let’s get you cooking buddy i just need

A few of these i’m trying to get this done Now you can be what you can either be that and then you okay cool yeah let’s get you going here for a minute give me just a little bit of sapphire cool we’ll get the rest of this sorted in a minute but this will at least get me started

With what i need over there so we need two lenses nice so here’s the question right how much do we have not quite enough right we’re getting there but not quite enough so we definitely want a couple of spectral relays right so um i’m gonna cut that in half because

We just want the two for now where’s my crafter dude hopefully hopefully i’m far enough away from bad guys that this won’t be too much problem oh i forgot my wisdom woods come here wisdom wood where are you at um or infused wood is that what it is

Yes crafting world by dropping a log and a liquid starlight it doesn’t matter what log i think those two logs that i just crafted were meant for the thing so let’s get two more of that so how are we looking in terms of night time it is just barely nighttime so we

Might have enough without this upgrade but we’ll see um so you guys are done right we’re gonna want two of you now craft i mean he has actually you know the starlight thing is filling up pretty good but having this the the multi-block relay would not be a bad idea

Right so i think we should consider it either way Cool so there’s your spectral relay let’s build upwards what i’m going to do is i want to say this was like a 16 block range right is that about right i want to say it’s 16 blocks right so it’s squigglies on the side and these in the corner squigglies on the side

And these in the corner and then i think you need to put a lens in it don’t you now that i’m thinking about it you do great a zombie is there and it’s going to be hard to get back up here well hard-ish well not the end of the world

I should really do the torch thing now that i can remember zom what 51 health excuse me sir what explain to me why you have 51 health How much health do you have no sir no no no no no you’re not allowed to have 51 health excuse me now oh fancy boots ooh fancy armor okay uh so two more of you please good thing i brought the extras huh Because as i recall now that i’m thinking about it you need to put these in here don’t you boy i hope this is close enough looking good yeah that’s a lot of starlight that’s cool all right real quick while we’re here let’s get our linking tool

And then here we’re going to go about ten blocks up that looks about right yeah looks about right am i on the right y level here ish yeah that looks better so squigglies on the side you like how i’m using the technical term the squiggly blocks dyer’s a professional don’t ever forget that

And then the relay and then that sweet look at that nice and fully charged and then we main mine that and then we mainline that and it looks pretty good so that is not terrible and we have the linking block now which is cool so now what i want to do is head

Over to that astral temple and see if this will work without i should make the relay thingy what is this by the way a biker jacket can deconstruct or scan from cyberware okie dokie if you say so sir should really think about lighting up the area um so if we want

This guy the lens that’s not a terrible recipe we need a couple room marble we have we need a couple we’re gonna need another three glass lenses and two aquamarines should be doable well no because we need a lot more aquamarines we need no it’s one per yeah no we’re cool

Uh so we want three lunch so we need five aquamarines total right uh and then we need a rock crystal and a gold ingot and the logs that should be doable let’s get one of these and remember this one it actually does matter the attributes of the crystal

But we’re not at a point where we can make a care about our crystal attributes right like we just can’t care about that right now so we’re not going to we will in the future right but at some point engraved infused wood oh that would be infused wood planks times four

Which are made how infused wood in the crown okay cool so you you we’re losing starlight here folks I don’t know how much we need to make this but we’ll find out i’ll also be curious to see how much starlight we have uh in the daytime now because those things should help a day even not not a ton but some come on craft hooray we got two lenses of

Meh stature we’ll find out how meh it is but at least now we can make our silverwood sapling i think and away we go so we’re going to head over here to the astral temple that we found in the past we’ve got the collector crystal i don’t

Think i can pick him up and move him i don’t think the ones that you find in the temples can be picked up and moved might be wrong don’t really know probably am maybe not i don’t know probably don’t want to try because i don’t know if another nearby

Astral temple there is one that’s like under water way over there that i found that i really don’t feel like going wow that’s a lot of bad guys okay never mind you we are we are 100 homing this teleportation canceled running away now i had a feeling it would be dangerous

Over there but i didn’t actually like you know consider how dangerous i guess but yeah that was that was dangerous we need to run all right we’re going to sleep through this night even though it’s practically daytime already i mean i don’t know if we can sleep even

I’ll just wait for a minute let me tell you how happy i am to have this caster gauntlet that i can heal myself with definitely a good call um you know it’s not the most powerful thing in the world but it does a job and i appreciate it all right now that

It’s daytime we should have fewer killing me issues now of course because it’s daytime we’re also going to have issues regarding enough power to transmute these things it’ll just probably take longer but i’m that’s okay right i don’t i don’t super care about that right so that definitely

That’s cool there’s a lot wow there are 221 of these most of them probably around densors right that’s definitely what it looks like that’s gonna be that’s gonna be easy to pay attention to right like we’re gonna easily go through all these and know exactly what’s what

But for the most part it looks like it’s mostly dense ores i wish i could filter this to not dense ore but it looks like they’re all grouped together so that’s good at least we can flip through jei here and see what some of the other ones are oh look

It’s a silverwood sapling yay that’s cool block of saltpeter from salt blocks very cool uh thorium turns you 238 that’s that’s something we should keep in mind when we get to you know is that that’s greg tech uranium is nuclear craft in here you guys know i like nuclear aircraft

Right no nuclear craft that’s okay i like nuclear craft but i mean we played it a lot the last few series so you know can totally get sand into clay by the way which i think is going to play an important role in the future of our lives
