fWhip – I Spent 100 Days Building a Village in Hardcore Minecraft Survival

Hey folks whip here and welcome to hardcore minecraft where i have survived over 1600 days inside the same hardcore world my base has expanded from a small farming settlement hidden behind some very precarious walls to a massive castle overlooking the sea but i’ve never connected the two builds there’s

Always been an empty void of grassland and planned out buildings just gathering dust where nothing has happened to them today i’m setting a goal for myself to finish the entire village within 100 minecraft days between planning building editing and the works this has taken over 50 hours to produce if you enjoy my

And if i want to finish this entire village within the next 100 days oh boy do we have a lot of work to be doing with one two three four five six seven eight nine and ten more buildings to finish up we are going to be needing a

Lot of blocks for this but mostly all we have is cobblestone and stone ignoring the unsorted shulker boxes for now it’s time to get to work gathering up the first set of materials we need right now is a bunch of deep slight first i needed to move the beacon as this mine section

Was completely out of deep slate going about 100 blocks east i was able to set up the beacon again in a fresh spot and got to mining deep slate right away beginning the first grind of the day my goal is to fill up two full shulker boxes of cobble deepslight so i don’t

Worry about running out for at least today’s episode surprisingly finding a good amount of diamonds and tough blocks along the way we’re pretty rich now oh duh we had a whole shulker box already okay well we have a lot of deep slate now and now it’s raining crying about

The three days i just wasted to get two more shulker boxes of deep sleep regardless of the weather it’s time to take stock on everything else that we have a bunch of stone will be needed cobblestone can’t hurt definitely some granite definitely andesite and yes to diorite all of the calcite’s probably

Gonna be used coarse starts gonna be useful for a lot of decorations around the area too since everything’s grass right now yes to bricks might need to go to mooshland to get some more definitely need a lot more crimson and warped unfortunately with way too many shulker

Boxes of items ready to go finally it’s time to get started on the build today picking one of the more detailed builds out of this one i want to start with the blacksmith this build is going to be a mix of a lot of different blocks so i

Wanted to start out with building up the walls just to keep my head straight and not get overwhelmed with this guy now it is a blacksmith after all and i don’t want a sign that just says bam look at me i’m a blacksmith so we need to build an actual forge workstation outside

Before jumping in the detailing though i need to raise the roof going for a rounded spruce roof to make this feel more like a village building instead of an expansion to the castle on the hill behind us i finished the roof on the calcite tower as well and created a

Covering for the workstation outside a bit of a progress update at this point the build is starting to look really cool with the first round of detailing going in but boy do i still have a lot of work to do all right let’s get back

To it next up for the forge build i want to make this feel like a centerpiece so i figured we could bring a bunch of copper in over here strip it all down to the first two stages and head up to the greenhouse to get ourselves some honey

There we go i hate wasting copper so i got exactly what we need to finish up this little forge over here all we need is a few soul campfires i think we have a bit of a diagonal entrance to the forge so we can toss a blast furnace in

Right over here and work our way up creating a really cool shape for ourselves about like this we add in some granite right over there and use this as a way to build ourselves out up in the center i’m really happy with this thing it looks so cool over here with all the

Copper in it i love it most of the details are done we’ve just got a final few elements to add in over here and i was thinking a really cool cart out in front that is just carrying some lumber by maybe we have this log going sideways

Throw a nice little trapdoor there on the front and border it with some signs yeah that’s looking really good oh i like that and i got the backyard built out which is looking super sweet back here so we have a full little garden of our warped roots in a nice coarse dirt

Bed item frames acquired and i wanted to grab there’s our original silk touch diamond axe and do we have any more and loot in here no axes but we could throw a pickaxe on there reason being on the front of the blacksmith i wanted to

Throw a few tools right up here with the glow item frames just because it would look pretty cool yes that is looking amazing the next step that we used over here is vines quickly running over to mooshland to pick up a bunch of strings so the vines don’t grow too crazy and

For the final steps we can light the candles we can throw a banner right there sure why not now we’ve got a bunch of vines that we can use that i just love how they look on top of the stone but i want to bring some string in so they don’t grow all

Over the place and there we go the first new building in the village is now done and we are on day 1647. it’s taken 10 days to build one building we’ve got one we’ve got what nine more to go oh this is gonna be a big one next

Up what i think is gonna be very important is moving forward with building these two structures right here so for this we’ve got to move all of these chests out of the way and most importantly the map which i think for now can just be put inside the inn which

I’m realizing now i should have been a lot smarter about how i built this map pretty sure i just spent almost an entire another minecraft day here trying to figure out how to play the place the map back down but we’ve done it and it’s updated and the new building’s in there

It looks so good i quite literally did the sun is setting huh okay as we run out of time crunch here it is time to move forward with the next stage of the build over here which i think is going to be those two front buildings i just

Mentioned to get started though i want to bring a brand new roadway coming in throughout this section still can’t believe i haven’t made a new super smelter this is slowly turning into a little bit of a worksman corner over here but we got all the extra junk

Storage and it’s about time for me to get rid of the colored concrete as we can finally bring a new build in here the plan for this one is to go a little bit off of the old school nursery rhyme since i didn’t know what else to do it

Is time my friends to get the grind underway over here so starting off with the baker and moving into the candlestick maker let’s kick this off in a good old-fashioned time lapse mode and there we have it two more buildings ready to go we got the candle shop right

Here at the front which you know what we can light the little candle in there then over here i still need to go acquire some cakes but we’ll toss them in there for the baker which i realized we can get super quickly over at mooshland from the farmers i’m so glad i

Moved everything to the nether roof it’s so much quicker moving around hello golem look at this it’s really possible to get pumpkin cakes in minecraft all you gotta do is trade for the emeralds and you trade the animals for cake and now the baker is finished look at that it’s

Beautiful the interiors of these things will happen eventually we’re trying to finish all of the structures within a hundred days and these guys right here took another eight days to build in total so i don’t know if we quite have the time next up though if i keep

Building these structures i’m going to go insane i want to spend a bit of time doing some minor details around the area they’ll just make it feel more alive which is where we can bring in some dark oak stuff over here and we can bring in some smooth quartz and some prismarine

Bricks and right over here we can build ourselves a market stall now i love these two colors together over here so this should be really fun to work out with and what i’m thinking we just do some slabs extend this guy over to here and we take everything going upwards in

Little strips and we end with something a little bit like that yes that place with the copper on the roof already so well now i just gotta cram a few things in here to make it look like a market stall and it is a flower stand and

Perfect next up from here i need to finish a few more of the roadways stretch around this place just so we can continue on this darker pattern that we have now on the upper side we have a little bit more space to work with for the

Candle maker we’ve got a little bit of an outdoor workshop area up here thankfully i already have a few end rods so we don’t have to run all the way out to the end for this but i thought we could create a tiny station back here that looks like we’re building candles

Or making candles and just letting them drip hanging downwards not the most intensive operation over here and it honestly might not look the best but i’ll take it i’ll take it that’s that’s something this is really starting to feel like a village oh i love it instead

Of just being the one in over here we now have four buildings now for some of the more natural aspects of the village trees and shrubberies we need a lot of vegetation around here do contrast against the castle for one which also is pretty heavy on that so we gotta go to

The extreme and two it makes it feel like a village instead of a city or town more of the local grassroots types of vibes is what i’m going for here on top of that i wanted to spend a bit of time adding the village life into here right

Now it feels empty so adding a few things like a farmland right back here then a few more workstations around the place some carts moving around even just random rocky things just make it looks like things are getting turned up and movement and it’s happening in the area

It’s starting to look really really cool out here one more quick little walk through the area over here that we’ve been working on and things are starting to look absolutely fantastic and that is looking really cool down here now but we have spent 24 in game days working on the village so

Far which means each building is taking about seven days to complete and we’ve got one two three four five six and seven left to go which means roughly 50 days of in-game time just on building alone i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t at least a little bit stressed out right

Now with trying to finish this project on time next up we’re working on the shepherd punk oink which is this house is a little bit farther out of town i think we can get away with being more basic on the style over here so if we just go with a traditional slab roof

Bring ourselves all the way up here i think we might be able to save some resources on this doesn’t look like too half bad of a start very basic but it’s getting us somewhere but over here i think we need to jut this out so it’s

Not a super flat wall so we do oak logs on the corner for a little bit of the support action and then we bring in some birch right like in here work on extending the spruce slab roof going right out over the side of this maybe

Popping a window right up here and bam we got a little door now so the structure doesn’t get very boring and just same me all over the place i want to extend this diagonal bit out here using a bunch of cobblestone mossy cobblestone and andesite yeah i like

That amazing and thankfully since we started with the slab roof already that’ll make this very simple to continue on this way because stairs on a diagonal no thank you now that i got the plan it’s just about filling in the blanks which in this case translates to

Placing a lot of slabs but there we go stage one of this guy’s all done time for some details instead of just looking beautiful this build over here has a little bit of a functional purpose to it as well i want to create a large paddock

Out here to store a bunch of sheep and allow them to live out their happy days right now we’re only producing a few colors of wool over in the tiny sheep greenhouse behind the inn and it’s time to change that my hope is a little lean

Too sticking out the back here will be really really good and perfect coming in here right beneath the roof line of the house at this point i got carried away with building at the shepherd adding in a small back deck area with a bunch of campfires above it just to create

Something really cool and inviting to hang out in and then from there moving on to building the entire retaining wall for the panic as an area to keep our sheep safe from everything going on around all the wolves in the forest then finally moving on to creating a custom

Forest over here by finally adding in a bunch more custom trees around the build to connect it up with the rest of the village from here our shepherd is pretty useless unless we get some sheep so setting off on a quest i first stomped

At the grain silo to grab a bunch of hay and then flew around the area before finally finding some sheep on top of one of the mountains where wow there were six of them hanging out there together and ensued the journey all the way back home oh hi everybody i’ll just be moving

On this way excusing the roaming band of pillagers we made it back home and the sheepies are safe within their pen i just had a realization while breeding up the sheep over here i still have to plant a field for today’s episode let’s do it Ah much better balance is restored with our brand new potato field and i’ve added in a new layout for a building as we need another farm building right up here it was just looking a wee bit weird going up this grand road right here to nothing being there so another building is added

To the list today next up my friends i would like to tackle the butcher shop right here to finish off our nursery rhyme however i have two stacks of spruce wood left in my name and i’m out of oakwood so grabbing a few more shulker boxes here it’s time to get

Choppin and back on the resource grind you got anything fun for me buddy nothing i want except your leads and new llama friends i decided to be smart about it this time as i need a lot more azalea leaves as well so growing a bunch

Of azalea trees as i just have oakwood i was able to tackle everything at once and also got some rooted dirt along the way too then after that it was time to fly over to the spruce forest and chop down all of the antennas i left behind when i was harvesting some leaves

Previously and now from there coming back over to the village i decided it was time just to get working right away so with that i started the butcher shop and it is looking absolutely amazing i really love how this one came together i used a lot of sandstone in here and some

Dark oak to make it pop a little bit more against everything else and i’m really loving how it adds to the atmosphere and with that we see the sun setting on day 1684. i’ve really been able to pick up the pace around here but the village is

Looking so good and i forgot lanterns oh that could be dangerous but we’ll do it in the morning all right there we go now it’s a little bit more mob safe on the upper level before we move any further i had to take a second here to turn the

Shaders on and i just need some eye candy i have been working so crazy hard on finishing up these builds and the shulker mess keeps it growing but just look at all of this look at how cool everything is looking over here lots of looking i did decide to store some wheat

Over here so we could breed up the sheep one more time as we need to develop the entire army of sheepies that we can keep shearing to get all of the wool we could ever need how did you get up there i don’t want to know i don’t want to know

There’s a way for sheep to get out you know what that would do it that would do it right there that’s a way for sheep to get out so on the butcher shop back here we have the back entrance which kind of this would be a large door imagine

That’s a door as well right there just a big diagonal boy and we’ve got a little cart over here where they can go around and bring in the animals for slaughter and everything like that so it’s got a little bit of the functional aspect to it where it really tells you what’s

Going on especially on the interior and we’re leaving but just wow from one building to now five six buildings oh six buildings we’ve done five today which means we only have one two three four and the little tiny extra guy we added all right time to keep on working

Continuing the grind straight away i would like to move forward with some ocean vibes over here we’ve got two tiny houses to build on this edge that are probably going to be sharing a wall right through here for now i’d like to spend a little bit of time focusing on

This edge over here so i think we’ve mixed in some cobblestone walls right along there we can do that little tower on the end eventually and then we bring in some stripped oak log walls around here it’s a good thing we spent a long time gathering up the oak wood we should

Be able to bring in something pretty simple but still really interesting and then that easily allows me to on the second building over here even though they’re going to be sharing a wall we can make this one out of stone or something like that and it should look

Pretty good for this current building that we’re working on i want to keep it rather short the other one is probably going to be two stories but just so we can have those sight lines if you’re looking out of these windows you can still see above it and see the beautiful

Boat out there but at this point in time i just gotta throw some slabs on the top get a little three by three tower in there like those guys and just do the work of getting both these things done so with a three two and a one boop it’s

Done the second building has been added in as well and i am loving it i threw a little copper roof on there and we’ve actually got to dive out of the ocean and gather up as much copper as we can that stuff’s been aging down there for

Quite a while and i think i just got to get my hands on at this point but thankfully we gathered up that rooted dirt a little while ago there’s something i wanna do out here before we dive out into the ocean a little bit further and that is transform this

Little outer area that we have in here into something that’s just gonna be a bunch of coarser and rooted dirt as if it’s a small place for people to walk around recently i’ve realized that a very easy way to decorate your builds is simply just to get rid of the grass

Around it and that’ll make it feel so much more like a unique environment there we go that’s looking much much better the plan from here is grab a bunch of slabs and create a little bit of a boardwalk for ourselves coming all the way down to the edge of the water

Where i want to build the tiniest and simplest of docks that we could possibly have there we go i think i’ve gotta bring this sand back a little bit further so we can have more room to swim around out here or get a tiny sailboat in there because i don’t think it could

Fit through this gap all that well now for the small sailboat and boy do i mean small sailboat we’re literally just going to be building it right off the edge of the dock slap a few trap doors on it and i’m stuck underneath but we get something like this and from here we

Can take a post up out of the middle and just line the edges with some more trap door when in doubt when building tiny boat add more trapdoors and also a great way to go is fence gates with trapdoors on top of course we need a little bit of

Wool for the sails and i won’t make it neither will you just a few blocks right there in the front and we will do one more right like that kind of look like half curled up sales realism wise i know that’s not the best but it’s also my

Favorite way of doing it because it looks nice and now to get rid of a little bit of the sand out here i think i just made this dolphin the happiest dolphin to ever live but there we have it a way for the boat to actually get in

And out now and that is a good thing as we’re gonna need some more smooth sandstone for the next build before we get to the next guy being this big old building right here the cat cafe i want to spend a bit of time at detailing

Around over here i’ve never built a cat cafe before so i think i need to think about man i didn’t mean to break that but i need to think it over here for a little while and figure out what i’m actually going to be doing so for now distractions distractions are the best

Bet oh we will lie that nobody will know that i missed a block also if you’re like me and just now realizing that i have barely and i mean barely touched any of the deep slate that we gathered today why did i spend an hour doing that

That’s a great question i don’t know but what i do know is it is once again time to kick this off in a good old-fashioned time lapse mode and build up the cat cafe there we have it another little cinematic shot showing off our beautiful village the final touches for the cafe

Over here is we need to get a bunch of little kitties upstairs so hopefully off of these guys we can get a little friend come on buddy no you sit down you sit down i’m taking your child you’re with me now hello my other beautiful kitties

I’m also taking your child look at them they’re adorable i did want to mention the cat cafe is pretty inspired by a build i found on instagram by block down builds so i just wanted to give credit where it’s due as i thought that thing was beautiful just like these little

Kitties you sit here and you sit here it’s the little details right it’s the it’s the itty bitty tiny little details of putting cats up here i’m not freaking out that i’m on day 1707 right now so i’m using that instead of building things being distracted by moving cats around no definitely not

Definitely not no uh let’s go build some trees instead of make more buildings yay i got busy once again adding the finer details to the village with many many trees bushes some more boulders and even spamming mossy carpets around to give the grassy area some more depth to live

In and i love it so very much and then i remember there’s this nice thing in the game called bone meal and you can use that on the grass to create this thing called tall grass which my professional builder brain over here just forgets is in the game at different points but

That’s okay that’s totally okay so i started adding some tall grass around the area and it actually looked a million times better than i had before for some reason i just never think of it but here we are and we did it so that’s cool this is looking much better around

Here but even at this point my pickaxe is starting to stress me out with that low durability we’ve got like 15 or so more trees added inside of here and i worked a lot on the entrance to the castle just to bring a bit more life in

Here but i didn’t want to build any large trees so i added a few small baby ones that being said it’s time to head into the nether and just sit at the gold farm for a little while and repair all of our stuff oh it’s a noisy one up here

Hello piggies a good little grinding session over here at the pikmin farm i’m working very very hard up here my friends i’m already up to level 143 look at all this effort i put into gaining levels inside of hardcore woo i think i need a break we’re working really hard

On that one all right let’s move on to something new i really need to build a new storage system for that here soon but uh that’s a project for later that’s a future flip problem all right i can’t put this off any longer we are on day

1712 right now i have 25 minecraft days left to go as the sun is rising right now and we’ve got to build this building i still gotta finish decorating the area i plan to build a few market stalls in the central point we’ve got another building there and we’ve got this big

Boy which i have absolutely no idea what to do with i’ve at least got the winery planned out i just spent about an hour in a creative world figuring this thing out and boy do i have a fun plan for it before this video turns to be an hour

Look at this we actually have an entire village now oh amazing i never expected to be able to get all this stuff done in the hundred days but i’m feeling positive now the the emotional rollercoaster of working through this project and racing against the clock it’s been extreme let’s keep moving the

Big boy up there being the chapel is gonna need a little bit of mental planning i think so right now let’s go ahead and tackle this guy and just wing it uh we’re just gonna wing it and build up a farmhouse and see what happens good

Thing we already have a style guide so that’s pretty easy and uh man never mind the style guide we gotta do something different i’m really just channeling my best default minecraft villager house over here that’s that’s pretty much what this is turning into just a diagonal now

I’m gonna just keep this super simple on the roof coming up here and kind of copy what we did on that guy and there we go the front half is finished and hopefully looks okay we’ve still got a lot of okay um i got a lot of things i gotta

Fix on here i’m gonna keep chugging along i think this right here is just gonna have to do it for the little diagonal guy and i like it i think it’s turned out pretty well did i just spam windows everywhere yep pretty much but it’s okay it has a chimney so it’s a

Little house right yeah that’s how these work from there i still needed a good think about what we’re doing for the chapel so i decided to start decorating the town a bit more starting off with building up a hay cart just sitting over by the sheep farm and moving on to

Adding two more market stalls right along the waterfront just so we can be selling some miscellaneous goods in the area and from there the village is looking so full of life now and i actually love it we still have the one building left to tackle up here being

The chapel originally this was supposed to be like a grand point inside of the village but i realized if i do that it’s gonna take away a lot from the castle so i think we’re just gonna wing it and see what we come up with i added some

Entryway pillars in here that i actually really like so we’re gonna start off with those and then when getting started on the build over here i think we need uh probably some ground some ground to stand on is a good first step all right there we go we have a land to be

Building on and i know previously i had that giant layout with the orange concrete but i think that’s too big for what i’m able to do today so we got one two three four five six seven eight nine right over in here let’s bring ourselves

Back a few and then we’ll go over right like this something like this should work out for ourselves instead so if we come right back over here give ourselves a grand little archway we have a door to get in and then i want this to be a

Little open air section to walk between two different parts then for this little jet out i created over on this side let’s go ahead and just bring in some calcite and we can stack it up to being about yay high i’ve got some texture on this little side guy over here and i

Know this is going to stand out a lot i really know it is but i still want to try it what if we brought in deep slate tile along this entire build for the roof the idea i’m playing with here is this chapel has been here forever after

Trying to build in the same style for nearly 17 hours now going on this thing i i need a little bit of a break from it it’s definitely noticeable but i don’t think it’s a bad thing i’ma keep working away on this guy And there it is check this out my friends we’ve got a little garden over here on the side as well i changed up the top tower bit i wanted to make a dome originally but i couldn’t get a good shape on it so i did this little

Tower pokey uppy thingy right over here and then i also put in that deep slight trim on it which really helps yes that defines it so much more all right i am very very happy with how this build turned out we have the little living quarters off to the left-hand side and

That unfortunately i made it too skinny to actually walk through so getting the windows in here kind of blocks the pathway but that’s fine it’s totally fine we’ll deal with that when we do the interiors next year but we are currently on day 1732 meaning we have less than five days with

The sun being halfway through this until we’re out of time so i think i’ve just gotta clean everything up and get on out of here but i’ve definitely got time for a few more final little additions as i was cleaning up the shulker boxes i was

Like nah we need we need a little retaining fence right up here yes just little things like that oh it looks so much better all the shulker boxes are cleaned up and i’ma throw an ender chest right there in the center of our new village oh we can actually say it’s a
