You know you heard him say it’s our five-year anniversary obviously with older children we we haven’t been married very long we I was actually diagnosed when we had just been dating for a little while and a lot of his friends said hey you know you don’t have to stay you’re not

Married it’s not a lifetime commitment but I’m really thankful that he chose to stay because he’s right it did bring us closer together and it brought us you know with the kids as a family I have no family where we lived at the time and so

I had Raj and I had the girls and I had his family which was amazing to have all of that support and he really was my rock he took great care of me so when I was diagnosed there’s always a lot of information information overload there’s so many different types of breast cancer

I was just overwhelmed with everything that I was hearing from the doctors and going tonight and actually is an interesting Luke I kind of felt across this app this app on my phone called beyond the shot I didn’t know at the time that that was the National Breast

Cancer Foundation I was just using it as a resource there’s really great videos on that app and what I really really use the most was the question and answers with other survivors and other breast cancer patients there’s a really great forum on there to go and say hey I have

This question about this and then people will comment and answer for that so that helped me tremendously and I was so thrilled when we moved to Texas and I actually met somebody from the National Breast Cancer Foundation and realized that that was the connection for me

Amazing like in VCF also if you did not know I am recently married which is awesome and my wife has been working in the medical field for quite time now she is a registered nurse and she’s working on her nurse practitioner degree and one thing she does is she

Takes care of me but also I have to get back and take care of her because when he and our lives without these strong females I can let’s be honest we as men are pretty cool but women are just as amazing not more amazing my mom’s

Watching this right now but we have to take care of the females in her life and that also means making sure that they are getting their routine checkups and if you didn’t know my mom is kind of in that age group where a lot of females do get diagnosed with breast cancer which
