Gaming On Caffeine – Minecraft Techopolis 2 | JUMBO FURNACE, CONVEYOR BELTS & AUTOMATION! #2 [Modded Questing Skyblock]

In the last stream we were working on setting up a somewhat basic cobblestone generator over here and then somewhat quickly replacing that cobblestone generator with a much more efficient compressed Cobblestone alter mining setup that is now continually producing one compressed Cobblestone Forest every 10 seconds effectively nine Cobblestone

Every 10 seconds and so almost one Cobblestone per second and then right at the end of the last stream we set up this giant multiblock tree absorber which is effectively an all-in-one tree farm that passively produces for us leaves sticks apples logs and not samplings surprisingly which is pretty

Cool though and we also have our jumbo furnace over here this allows us to smelt multiple items at a time currently we have six jumbo furnaces in here and so we can smelt seven items at a time if we put fuel in of course now right at

The end of the last episode we kind of started the coal and Lapis quest line here by breaking some of the Collard Stone this stuff right here this light gray Collard stone with our new prospector’s pickaxe in doing so we actually get these tiny fragments of

Coal and Lapis and we can craft these into regular coal and regular lapis we can also more importantly guess craft these into lapis ore and coal ore the reason that’s more important is because much like with our Cobblestone setup right here of course the goal is to

Automate the production of coal and lpus and the way that we’re going to automate that is by setting up new miners for coal ore and lapis ore now we have kind of two options in terms of how we want to do this it does work in the same way

In that we would need 36 coal ore or 36 lampus ore in order to to set up a minor that is then going to passively produce coal ore and or lpus ore but the two options we have are we can either craft the lapis and coal or using the lapis

And coal fragments with stone which is the more timec consuming way of doing it if we wanted to save some time there is an option in the ORS are o quest line to actually buy 36 coal ore and 36 lapis ore it would cost us 16 techbooks we do

Currently have 28 and I did notice that there is an option at some point to start crafting techbooks I don’t know if we unlock it until Advanced research yeah right here unlocks a crafting recipe for techbooks and then I believe there are actually multiple tiers which

I assume get better and better like as you move through the quest book there are higher tier Tech books recipe unlocks which I assume either give you more Tech bang for your book or they just give you more techbooks for a cheaper price either way I think our

Best option for the time being even though it’s going to be a bit more timec consuming is probably going to be to just do it the the good old fashioned way especially given that we already have the stone for it really all we need is enough lapis fragments and enough

Coal fragments to make this happen let’s quickly see how many we get from here and then let’s also just quickly see how much we actually get from this yeah that’s basically like everything we need already we’re 27 out of 36 on the lampus front and then I

Assume we’re going to be about the same on the cold front as well so I feel like for that reason we probably are best suited kind of keeping a hold of our techbook for the time being and instead just quickly smelting up some more of this Stone into smooth Stone and then

Again into light gray color stone to allow us to get enough of the fragments to make the remaining lapis and coal or at which point we can then also look at setting up two more of these tier 2 miners to allow us to actually alternate the production of coal and Lapis one

Thing that people have told me in the twitch chat is that we can in fact use these tier 2 support frames at the edge of this uh minor for the next minor so if we put the next minor kind of right up against this one we can use this

Support frame here and this support frame here for the miners either side therefore saving a little bit on the amount of support frame that we have to make it’s not a massive thing right now because these support frame are not particularly expensive but going forward when they start requiring lapis or

Diamond or emeralds it’s going to save us I think a lot of resources to be able to to cut down on the number of support frames that we need all right so 32 light gray collored stone here should be more than enough again unfortunately the builders ones are still locked behind

And unlock it’s quite possible we might be able to unlock those fairly soon oh we need bronze first day so I guess not that soon probably before the end of the episode we could unlock building ones but they are unfortunately not available to us just yet that is fine once we’ve

Got all of this down we can go ahead and break it all at once and that should be more than enough lapis and coal to get what we need of course we do need even more Stern to make that happen which is completely fine we do get seven at the

Time here and I’m also thinking it might not be a terrible idea for me to make some charcoal the wood is working but I think we are using the wood here faster than it’s being produced and so it is probably well actually to be fair we are

Also getting coal and we’re about to get coal momentarily so in that sense we probably don’t need to worry too much about fuel I assume once we get the coal miner up and running we’re going to have a limitless supply of coal that we can then tap into so we shouldn’t really

Have to worry about it too too much all right we need just a tiny bit more here seven should do the trick we need one more lapis or that’s 36 and then we need four more coal or fantastic and in fact one thing we can do here fairly soon

Once we have a fairly large amount of lapus is we can in fact upgrade our cap stones on our Miner spe specifically if we were to swap out the fence posts here for lampus blocks that’s going to take the current uh 200 ticks down to 60 ticks so instead of getting one

Compressed Cobblestone every 10 seconds we would get one compressed Cobblestone every 8 seconds and then I think coal is slightly better and that that brings it down to 150 tick so just under 8 seconds 7 and 1 half seconds to be specific so we could do with maybe a little bit more

Coal as well either way let me quickly get some more of these t to support frames and let’s see here if we can’t put the lpis and coal miners down right next to this Cobblestone Miner in fact though what I might do real quick is I might extend out the platform and give

Us a bit more space because I have a feeling we’re going to do quite a lot of it as we uh as we move forward especially so what I think I might do I might kind of Branch out this way so build another kind of extension like

This but make it a lot wider so we can put even more miners down going forward because we are pretty close to unlocking the next tier of support frame that being this one right here the tier three support frame in fact we could already make it if we want we already have a

Decent amount of lapis here and if we upgrade our tier 2 support frame here to a tier three support frame we could then upgrade from 1X compressed Cobblestone to 2x compressed Cobblestone which much like when we upgraded from regular Cobblestone to compress Cobblestone is going to massively increase the uh the

Rate of which we’re producing Cobblestone which is going to be used for because again we do need a lot more Stone going forward and getting more jumbo furnaces to make this jumbo furnace more efficient and just faster in general is going to be a good thing

And that of course is going to require a ton of cobblestone for all of the furnaces that we need and so I think I’m going to expand the platform out I’m going to set up maybe like two more tier one compressed Cobblestone generators to allow us to produce tier one Cobblestone

Even faster and then alongside those I think we’ll also look at getting the lpis and coal miners up running as well and at this point we can probably also get rid of this old monstrosity of a cobblestone generator cuz I don’t think this is really going to be that useful

For us going forward all right so not too long later we’ve built a little bridge over here to a new platform that I haven’t kind of finished because I kind of want to be able to expand it out in the future so if we need to we can

Make it longer in either direction to add more miners but my thought process here is that we can build kind of more miners next to this pre-existing Miner and as I mentioned these can share support frames so here normally we put it here but if I put it

Here that’s not where I want to put it I I put that one too far back that’s my bad if we do that but one further back this should work annoyingly because of the way I’ve done this now I’m going to break all of these cuz I think it’s

Going to be easier actually if I have a pickaxe that has a decent amount of durability what we should be able to do is we should be able to break all of these and then I think it’s going to be faster if we kind of temporarily once again break some tier one

Cobblestone right click here and then right click here perfect so now we have a space for a second minor that’s kind of attached to the first minor and my plan as I mentioned earlier is going to be to just make another compressed Cobblestone minor so in here one 1 2 3 4

5 6 7 8 9 and then of course we’ll fill that in all the way to the top and I’m going to do the exact same thing on the other side as well so over on this side over here we do have quite a lot of support for I’m actually not quite sure

How much we’re going to need given that we’re not building the full structure but uh if we want again grab our Placer and right click here that gets us our next one and so I’m going to build essentially three tier one compress Cobblestone Miners and then once we’ve got enough Cobblestone

To make 36 tier 2 compressed Cobblestone then we can like kind of replace one of these with a tier 2 compressed Cobblestone and then maybe reuse the the two tier ones for something like lapis and coal to make this happen we mostly just need wood for this I think if we do

This and this we can get two more pickaxes that is going to be basically everything I think for two more miners one and two fantastic those can go directly at top the current pre-existing compress Cobblestone and then we’re pretty close of course that’s not where that goes Isaac you need one more level

Of compressed Cobblestone before you put that down there we go and we’re pretty close to being able to unlock conveyor belts at which point we could then start sending all of the Cobblestone to kind of one centralized drawer or one centralized chest so we don’t have to

Kind of check all of the chests all of the time for all of our Cobblestone and so that’s probably something we should look at and also as I mentioned before putting down lapis on here instead of defense posts is going to increase the speed at which we get this compressed

Cobblestone okay so it takes 19 support frame per additional Miner that we want to add to our pre-existing setup we now have three fully functional tier one compressed Cobblestone miners these two of course are getting the lapis treatment they’re a lot faster this one over here is uh still at the slower one

Per 11 second speed because it’s not fully upgraded but now that we have at least 36 tier 2 support frames we can go ahead and add two more miners to this setup if we put one here and if we also go and put one down

Over here that is then going to allow us to actually throw down all of the lapis and coal ore that we got earlier uh that alongside two more of these miners first of all we’ll get two more pickaxes and then of course just like we did a second

Ago we’ll go one and two that is going to allow us to start automatically producing lampus ore and coal ore now the lampus ore and col or does have to be processed this is annoying because I think that if I try and can I carry on

This I can’t if I mine this I have a feeling I’m going to get lapis oh interesting okay that actually leads on to what I was going to say because the way that this works in this pack is you have to take the lapis ore and smelt three lapis ore in the jumbo

Furnace to get one lapis and by default here with the tier one setup also were we missing one support for him but with the tier one setup we’re only going to get one lapis or every 11 seconds and if we upgrade it with the lapis blocks we

Can then get it one every 8 seconds or with the coal blocks one every 7.5 seconds the same is true for the coal or here by the way it smelts into one coal for every three or so we are definitely going to want to kind of increase the uh

The coal on lapus production quite quickly my thought process here is that once we get our tier 2 Cobblestone gen AKA our double compressed cobblestone generator up in the middle I’ll probably Swap this out for another coal miner and I’ll probably Swap this one here out for

Another lapis Miner to double up on lapis and coal for the future because going forward we do also need to get more miners for copper and Tin but I’m fairly certain that both copper and Tin require tier three miners so those can’t use these frames anyway that is

Completely fine let’s do this and then all the way over here let’s also do this um for some reason we are missing one frame I thought we had more than enough for to make this happen Apparently that is not the case that’s fine though let’s go and throw this down right

About here and of course just like before let’s go ahead and grab two more chests can we do this we totally can so eight logs there equals four chests just a slightly faster crafting recipe boom and boom nice now given that we have three Cobblestone generators I do think

It’s probably in our best interest to at the very least temporarily move some of these blocks here over to the resources that we want more of specifically because the coal caps are faster I think it’s going to be in our best interest to make the coal as fast as possible and

Then as soon as we can we can start to look at replacing these caps with coal blocks and then replacing all the other blocks uh with coal blocks as well although sooner rather the later we do unlock copper and tin and once we have those we can then go one step further

And upgrade to either a copper block which is going to be one item every 7 seconds or a tin block which is going to give us one every 7 Seconds so copper and Tin are identical in order to unlock copper and Tin we do need four blocks of

Coal and four blocks of lapis so again real quick I’m going to make some more fences here because we might as well squeeze out that little bit extra efficiency on all of our other miners if we can and I’ll take down those two lapis blocks we have there we’ll use

Those alongside two other lapis blocks to try and unlock the tin and the copper and then hopefully somewhat quickly we’re going to get enough coal although I have a feeling it’s going to take a little while here just because this is pretty slow like this equates to three

Coal and of course if we want to make four blocks of coal that means that we need 36 coal in total so you know we’re going to need a lot of coal all to make that happen but we should get there slowly but surely okay so I’ve got all

Of the fence posts down up there so those are running as fast as they can although what I have been made aware of here is that we can in fact set up a miner for the light gray colored Stone if we put down 36 light gray colored Stone we can then automatically produce

More light gray colored Stone and it looks like it might require a tier3 minor because this one on this also looks like it works interesting this does say any stone but it looks like the Collard Stone counts as a stone and then it also works with the T3 Miner as well

Potentially so if we can get 36 carded Stone we can then set up another Miner for that along the same vein here we do want to use some of this cobblestone in fact I think we’re pretty close let me quickly just check here how close we are

To getting 3 uh 36 tier 2 Cobblestone if I do this we’ve got it we’ve got 41 double compressed Cobblestone fantastic so I want to keep 36 of that the rest of these I’m going to craft into furnaces I’m going to try and get even more jumbo

Furnaces for our jumbo furnace because I do want to get that 36 color stone back over here though if we want to make this happen we do need to get 32 tier three support frame you get three at a time which means we’re going to have to get

11 lapis which is actually I think fine we’ve got nine honors and then over here we do have 24 more lapis which we can begin smelting in our jumbo furnace and that should get us basically everything that we need let’s throw that in here we’ll take you out for the time being

Just to uh make this faster I actually don’t know if putting that in whilst it’s working is going to get us eight lapis although we don’t actually have eight lapis but we got it nice okay cool so B over here let’s see about getting the tier three support frame for that we

Just need even more sticks and then if we H the the the thing that could be tricky here that I’d not really thought about I don’t know I I assume that it’s not going to work if we try and share support frames like this my thought process here is

That we could kind of replace the middle one with tier three support frame but I don’t think you can mix and match support frames like I have a feeling that if I go ahead and replace this with this are they going to stop working or do they still work if they still

Work that would be great there’s still the particle effects coming off them which makes it seem like it’s still working it is still working that is kind of great and so I think we should then be able to just kind of replace the center with tier three support frame and

Then have the ones on the left and right have this kind of hodg podge of of tier 2 and tier three support frames but somehow still work and there we go I have replaced all of the frames for the center minor with tier three lampus frames and I’ve replaced the Cobblestone

Here with double compressed Cobblestone and so now instead of getting nine Cobblestone every 10 seconds we now get 81 Cobblestone every 10 seconds because one of these turns into nine compressed Cobblestone and nine compressed Cobblestone then turns into 81 regular Cobblestone and so we are getting this

Cobblestone a lot faster than we were previously and with that we should be able to uh to really turbocharge our jumbo furnace here we can start crafting this down we can start crafting a lot more of these furnaces and of course we can then throw those back into the jumbo

Furnace to get even more even faster which is is fantastic so now I think the next thing I’m going to work on I do want to get the uh the light colored Stone automated but before we do that I might take a quick look here at

Unlocking tin and copper so for that we do need four blocks of coal and four blocks of lapis and we do have four blocks of lapis over there and I think we could could get actually we’ve got what it takes already to make full blocks of coal I think I’m going to take

Some of those lapis blocks down they are going to slow down our coal production a little bit but I have a feeling that it’s going to be better to replace these with either copper or tin blocks anyway so let’s steal both of those and then back over by our crafting table we

Should be able to get this copper and 10 research book going the only thing we’re missing is a bit more paper and as we saw before all we need for that is leaves and we’ve got a ton of leaves we’ve got some left in here and we’ve

Got loads that are being made by our tree absorber as well don’t use the wrong recipe there Isaac that would be a mistake instead if we do this and this and this and this we can then of course do this and maybe even this and that

Gets us a ton of paper which should hopefully get us through the next couple of research books in fact I’m just going to make a couple of these so we have them ready to go for when we next want to do research and with that boom and

Boom I assume we’re going to have to hand in some tech book as well but let’s go up to basic research and then let’s see if we can’t find Copper and Tin oh no never mind it’s in or are us I believe over here never mind it is over in here

We actually hand it in in the main quest line and that unlocks for us copper and 10 fragments which I think we get inside of regular colored Stone again now so much like we were getting the lapis and the coal fragments before from the carded Stone I think now we can break

That same collored Stone and we should get inside of that copper and Tin now let’s give that a try real quick if I go and throw eight of these in here I’m being told that it disables lapis and coal from The Miner I wonder if I can

Reenable it with oh I can over here so I can like enable lap and call enable copper and 10 do I have to tick these and if I do tick these does it kind of replace the recipe I’m actually not too sure we’ll have to give that a a

Try let me quickly smelt this down that’s going to get us eight light gray colored Stone and then we can do a bit of testing to see how this works okay so right now if I put one down and I break it with the prospector pickaxe we get

All of them nice okay cool that’s actually pretty good we get coal we get lpis we get tin and we get copper so I guess if we really wanted to for whatever reason we could go and turn coal and Lapis off or turn copper and

Tint off I’m not quite sure why we would want to necessarily unless we really just wanted to specific get one thing but right now we get all four of them from breaking the the light gr col Stone which kind of makes it even more ideal

For us to get 36 light gray CED Stone and set up a minor to uh to produce that automatically so let’s get even more Stone smelting there and in fact it is I think always going to be worth us taking even more of our compressed Cobblestone here and of course crafting that back

Down into regular compressed Cobblestone and making just a ton of furnaces to make our jumbo furnace as efficient as possible of course with the end goal being 64 of those jumbo furnace upgrades so that we can smelt over a stack of items at a time in fact let’s see here

How many we can get with the furnaces we’ve got in here we are going to need so much more fuel earlier I said we probably wouldn’t need to make charcoal because of the fact that we had coal coming in but the coal comes in so slowly that that might not necessarily

Be worth it okay so we got 21 jumbo furnaces now we still need a lot more if we’re going to get up to to the 64 there but we can now smell a ton of cobblestone at the time if we go and throw in a stack here it is it’s not

Going to take long at all it does tear through the fuel at a staggering speed like it doesn’t use any less fuel than it otherwise would it basically uses as much fuel as it would normally take to smelt 22 stone which is kind of unfortunate but it does make me think it

Is probably going to be worth it for us to maybe spend a second here kind of producing some charcoal just to make things a little bit more efficient as opposed to to just relying on these slabs forever because they are burning out real fast which is is not

Ideal and as you can see the charcoal here lasts substantially longer which is real nice and of course we can make so much of it all at once which is great so let us see then if we can’t smell up a ton more Stone into smooth Stone and

Then a ton more smooth Stone into light gray carded Stone and then what I’ll do I guess for now is kind of replace one of these with Collard Stone I’m going to do the lapis one so I got I want this one here to be coal and in fact we

Probably have enough coal in here for me to set up another coal miner here which I think I will do the reason I want coal more than lapis is just because we can use coal for fuel and yeah I’ll replace this one here with the light gr Collard

Stone and I’m going to replace this one here with regular coal Okay so we’ve got all of the light gr col Stone down unfortunately this big red dot here means that it is not working so it does show in ji that it could work with the tier2 support support frames but this is

For stone and it looks like card Stone counts as Stone but doesn’t actually count as stone for the minor because there’s also like a separate uh entry in ji up here for actual colored Stone and this requires a tier three support frame so the the long story is here that we

Need to actually get a bunch more tier three support frame in order to make this colard stone work over here the coal is working just fine that’s all coming in as you would expect uh thankfully we do have of course more lapis available to us now we’ve got

Let’s see we’ve got almost two stacks of lpis ore and of course we can smelt this very quickly over in our jumbo furnace not that we actually need this much lapis to begin with we only need I think eight lapis in order to make all of the

Support frame we need and we’ve got enough here to make the remaining two and on top of that uh that’s not even how you make that Isaac it is this on top of that we don’t even need that much because we’ve already got some lpis frame connected to our tier 2 Cobble

Minor and of course we can share that with the new Collard Stone minor as well so let’s see if we can’t get uh approximately 19 more support frames We are tearing through the sticks that are being produced by our tree absorber here but it does still have yet more of them

To give so we’ll take a bunch of those 30 is way too many but we’ll almost certainly going to need more in the not so distant future let’s quickly replace these frames and then we should finally begin producing the Collard Stone and at that point we can begin potentially

Making a lot more of it uh we are not smelting that much currently but I do think it’s probably going to be in our best interest to also just make some more of the card Stone the old fashioned way by just smelting a few times so we

Can get a lot of it and start to get more tin and copper which we can then use to make tin and copper or in their own respective miners but also as Camp stones to make all of our pre-existing miners that much faster all right cool this is running light colored stone is

Being made Bank over here we’re smelting through a ton of cobblestone into regular Stone uh while that smelts again we kind of just want to keep going I think with the uh the furnace crafting let’s craft even more furnaces here let’s go and grab however much double compressed Cobblestone we have over here

And just keep on keep on Crafting those down 54 more double compressed Cobblestone that’s going to be so much compressed Cobblestone and then from there of course that’s going to be so many regular furnaces that is hopefully going to again help us as we continue to push further and further forward towards

64 jumbo furnaces here all right so I’ve smelted up all of our Cobblestone into more jumbo furnaces we’re at 50 3 out of 64 that does mean now if I take like a stack of oak logs and I throw those in here we’re going to be able to smelt

Almost the entire stack of irk logs into charcoal in one go which is fantastic it does burn a lot of charcoal to get there but once it is done look at that 54 more charcoal fantastic you love to see it okay cool so we’ll take more of these

Out and we do of course have a bunch of stone available here look at that good stuff so I’m going to take all that stone as well as well and we’re just going to refeed that back into the jumbo furnace and that’s going to work its way

Into smooth Stone which we’re then going to smell again into light gray colid stone and then we can take all of the light gr colard Stone including what we have in our minor and we can hopefully use all of that to start getting a ton

Of tin and copper if we head back to the tin and copper quest lines we need to get tin and copper ore again much like with the lapis we can buy it from the store exactly the same price eight Tech books each but I think it’s going to be

Not too difficult for us to get enough of the the copper and Tin pieces for us to make it all utilizing just the CED Stone here so I’m going to place all this down without a building wand and then we’ll break it all using the prospector pick and we’ll see how much

Coal lapis copper and Tin we get okay so I’ve taken all of the stone that we had in the jumbo furnace smelted it into smooth Stone smelted again into light gray Collard Stone we’ve now got this giant block of light gray colard stone here I’m trying to give you an idea of

Just how big this is there are at least a couple of stacks of light gray colard stone here we’re going to take our prospectus pick and we’re going to break all of it just as soon as we kind of dump our entire inventory into this

Chest here just to give us as much space as possible to grab all of the stuff that we’re going to get from that look at that that is just so much copper so much lapis so much tin so much coal you love to see it we do have a couple of

Spare chests here let me do uh something like that but ideally I would prefer it if I did it like that they connect then we can kind of hopefully just dump a lot of this away and then we can do the same thing again taking all the stuff that we

Get and I guess for the lapis and for the coal we can probably just craft it down because we don’t need uh any more lapis or or coal or and the same is kind of true for most of the copper and 10 actually we can craft a lot of that down

What I should probably do before I break too much more of this uh giant wall of stone behind me is I should probably grab a little bit more regular Stone which of course we don’t have because we just used it all to make light gr Stone

But if I take a couple more of these we should be able to uh to craft those down of course into regular Cobblestone and of course throw all of that into here that’s going to get us a ton of regular Stone and then we can use that

Regular Stone to craft up all of the copper and Tin all that we’re going to need again we really only need 36 of each so we’ll take 54 Stone there we’ll take some and some copper over here we can do something like this and ideally 36 is what we’re after boom fantastic

And then if we can get 18 more Stone we can do the exact same thing here with the 10 fragments again 30 and six boom fantastic and now we can just take the rest of the 10 and oh I was going to say the rest of the 10 and copper and craft

It into just 10 and copper but that’s not how this works if we want to actually use these fragments at all we do have to first craft the the 10 and copper fragments into 10 or copper or and then from there it’s the same idea

Again where we can craft four 10 or four copper into one 10 or one copper Ingot that is not a particularly favorable trade I do believe in the future we’re going to get better outputs on that so in the future we can do things like throw it through the crusher to get one

Dust which is then one Ingot per ore or even through the arc furnace to get two ingots per ore so there are more efficient ways in the future but initially five copper or to one copper Ingot is a little bit expensive so I guess though for now then that probably

Means that we should probably take more of this Stone and just keep crafting the 10 and copper here into more tin and copper all let me put the 36 that we’ve got in the chest here that we’re going to save for later we’ll save this to set

Up minus for both of those so we don’t have to keep breaking more Stone in the future and then here let’s do this we’ll take a stack of you let’s take this we’ll get a stack of you and we’ve got so much of it actually this is really

Not going to be too much of an issue again the 5 to1 and 4:1 ratios are not ideal I would prefer better ratios but if we uh quickly get some more charcoal going here we uh should be oh gosh we’re running out of fuel you know we could

Probably do with um upgrading the caps on our tree absorber to make it a little bit faster because right now we’re using the fence post St yeah but we could maybe do with putting our uh like first four copper blocks onto the tree absorber to get the wood a little bit

Faster we could of course do some manual wood production but um but boy this is uh is really burning through the fuel quite quickly and we’ll also throw the tin and the coal in there as well we’ll do a stack of each just to allow us to

Uh to hopefully get some of those coming in oh we did some of both interesting I did not think that was how that was going to work I thought he was going to craft only one thing at a time but that is apparently not how that works

Interesting I put this up here what is it going to produce for us are we going to get like everything smelted yeah look at that crazy okay fair enough that is yet more Quest complete though boom and boom we get more as a reward the next

Quest here do want us to make a block of copper I’ll make three and and a block of 10 we’ll make four I guess fantastic boom and boom and then interestingly down here we can actually now use the jumbo smelter itself to smelt the alloy that is bronze so if I

Put in is it three copper and one tin it is which again is unfortunate given how um more expensive the copper is compared to the tin but once this is smelted that’s going to get us bronze ingots I do wonder if the bronze blocks can also be used as a

They can and they do lower the total amount of time required down to 6 seconds which would be ideal and that is another quest line complete you love to see it fantastic so what I think would be ideal here is if we could set up a little bit of automation because right

Now we’ve got coal or coming in we’ve got lpus or coming in we can very easily set up two more miners here one for copper ore and one for tin ore but in an Ideal World we do want to kind of try and aultimate this my thought process

Here is that if we moved the jumbo furnace which of course we should be able to do using our wooden shears if we take all of this out and do this I was kind of thinking about moving the jumbo furnace after I eat potentially some more apples here because we are

Incredibly hungry from all of the jumping off of miners that I’ve been doing in this episode but uh if we were to put our jumbo furnace down like right here it’s a little awkwardly close actually let me move that one further forward not like that like that if we put the jumper

Furnace here I’m kind of hopeful that we can use some conveyor belts to move things like coal lapis tin and copper into the jumbo furnace automatically and then from there we could probably extract all of the uh the products all of the lapis all the coal all the tin

And all of the copper and then send that around you know to a chest or maybe at some point in the future to storage drawers and we could also potentially look at um at feeding some of the coal back into the jumbo furnace to keep it going the only question really is if

We’re going to be producing anywhere near enough coal to keep up with the furnace I think we should be I think really the only reason that the jumbo furnace uses a lot of fuel is when we put a lot of things into smell for example if I just put in one

Cobblestone it doesn’t tear through the fuel it only tears through the fuel when you try and smell like a stack at a time then it’s when it gets real and also of course that means I’ve got to put these in first let me show that again if I put

This in like this this doesn’t use a ton of fuel it’s only when you throw in like a stack that it really starts to uh to burn through the fuel at an alarming rate and so I’m hopeful that we should be able to make this work so if we want

To make conveyor belts here these are made with lampus coal and smooth stone slabs so right now we don’t have any smooth stone slabs that’s fine we can of course smelt more I guess Stone right here into into smooth Stone and that’s going allow us to get the slabs and of

Course over here we’ve got loads of lapis and coal and even more lapis and and coal fragments available to us should we uh we need even more which I doubt we’re going to and of course if we really needed to we could tear down even more of this like color stone to get

Even more the reason I’ve not t the rest of this down just yet chat is that as soon as we unlock Advanced Tech we can get iron and aluminum fragments also from this colard Stone I do have a feeling that’s going to take a little

Bit and so maybe I should just tear this down and make more when we need it because in the time it’s going to take us to get here we we do need to get a tech MinGa which is going to require quite a bit of work before we can get to

There so should probably just head this down and then use whatever Stone we’re making in the The Miner to use for the iron and aluminum later but um let me take this smooth Stone and let’s make some slabs here and then let’s see about getting some conveyor

Belts now we are going to have to get a couple of the extracting conveyor belts these ones right here these are made with the wooden Hoppers and regular conveyor belts thankfully I did manage to salvage all of the wooden Hoppers that we were using previously in our monstrous cobblestone generator that we

Had earlier and so essentially the idea here chat is that uh we can use the extracting conveyor belts to you guess it extract from these chests and then we just need to run it around and insert into the jumbo furnace when it comes to inserting to the jumbo furnace we have

Two options really we could pipe the conveyor Bel into a wooden Hopper although there is also the dropping conveyor belt which I’m fairly certain acts as a hopper in and of itself and so what I am fairly certain we should be able to do here is place down a droing conveyor belt like

This we then want to run this conveyor belt like this and I’m not going to put the extracting belts down just yet can I make the engineers’s hammer is my next question I totally can it is going to use two of the four bronze that we have

But I think it’s going to be worth it and we can always make more bronze should we uh should we need it in the future the hammer is useful here because it allows us to um to create diagonal belts for example if I put one here and then

Do this we can have that going down I do want it going that way though fantastic and I think actually what I probably want to do is grab a pickaxe which I might have put into one of my chests over here I totally did and we want to

Move that kind of diagonal belt one further over so not here but here like make this one here into an upwards diagonal belt like that and then essentially we’re going to run for example from the co we’re going to put the extractor down I’m not going to put the extractor down

Yet because as soon as I do it’s going to start extracting the coal ore that is not what we want to extract from Isaac you want to extract from here but as soon as that is down it’s going to start extracting the co or which is not what

We want currently instead we’re going to have a belt we’ll put all the belts down first then we’ll put the uh extractor down last so we’re going to put you here we’re going to make you diagonal because we want you to pull from that extractor

Down and then I think what we’ll do here I’m going to put some Cobblestone down just to make it easier for us to build but then we can get rid of this cobblestone in the not so distant future if we do this this this this and this we can rotate this by just

Right clicking to face that way and what should happen now if we put down the extractor and make sure it faces right way by right clicking that’s going to take the co or run it around and deposit it into the jumbo furnace so now I’m

Going to do the same thing here with the other coal ore and with the lapis ore and then I guess what we’ll also do maybe at the same time is build two more miners one on either side of the lpus and coal for tin and copper utilizing

The 36 tin and copper ore that we have in here okay so we’re almost good to go here I’ve added the miner for copper over on the left here and I’ve man and I’ve added the miner for tin over on the right here and so now all we need to do

Is throw down the remaining extractors and we should be good to go because I’ve put down all of the belts kind of where they need to go so we got the belts going down they all converge in the middle here where it goes down to the

Jumbo furnace so if we do something like this maybe I’m putting this down wrong if I do it like oh I can’t quite put it down on top of that eh interesting fine let me get rid of this and I guess we are just going to have to place them down up

Against the chests like that and then kind of just rotate them with the hammer that’s fine but all of that stuff should get extracted and sent around to the jumbo furnace and currently the jumbo furnace is holding up just fine I’ve not had to put any more fuel into it it’s

Still using the charcoal again mostly because of the fact that we’re just not smelting that many items all at once right now we might temporarily run into a problem just because like all of these are buffered especially the lapis and coal there’s a big buffer of those items

So those are all going to come in at once but even then things are holding up somewhat okay and look at that I love seeing all of those items just kind of flying around down along the conveyor belts round and into the jumbo furnace which is just smelting them all nice and

Quickly and so I think as I mentioned before we are going to have to use a wooden Hopper to extract from the jumbo furnace because I think the jumbo furnace here kind of acts like a big vanilla Minecraft furnace in that you input from the top you can put fuel in

From the side and then you can extract from the bottom so what we might want to do here is grab our EG we are going to want to kind of I guess break this I’m pretty sure if I’m not mistaken that you can Hopper into a belt so I think what

We could do potentially is we could have a belt like this we could have a hopper like this and then if we have this belt kind of go up diagonally like that I think we could bring the items up from the bottom of the jumbo furnace up to

Like the normal level and I kind of want that on top like that there we go and then let me give that a quick test just to make sure that does in fact work it totally almost does um it does nice okay it took a second there but it did work an alternative

Method that could also work there are conveying conveyor belts these like vertical conveyor belts here if I took those and I did something like this and then can I put a belt down in front of that to make that work as in not like that if I were to

Instead do something like this but I guess I’d have to move it over by one so instead I guess if I did something like this to extract and then like this to go up and then like this here to send it around into a chest it’s

A little bit janky but I think that might be more consistent than what we were trying before yeah I think that is more consistent and then if I would to put some kind of chest down right about here I think that will pump the items directly into the chest it totally does

Fantastic Okay cool so if we go ahead make a chest drop that chest down uh over here somewhere so we’re going to have a hopper here then we’re going to have the belt here then we’re going to have the vertical Riser here then a belt here then maybe our final chest is going

To go here like that and then from there we can kind of just recreate this setup over underneath the jumbo furnace and I think it should just work which is is kind of famous last words I am going to have to get down there a little bit to make it work

Though and I think the best way for us to do that is potentially going to be for us to just throw down a bucket of water real quick and and use that to kind of travel down I did have to use our last existing bucket to pick up the

Lava earlier so what I might have to do is quickly grab another unfired bucket and I guess I’ll smelt it in here just so we don’t uh mess with what’s going on in the jumbo furnace but over here we can take the ceramic bucket we can do this and this and then

Hopefully we can make this work I might have to put down some dirt or something here just to give me something to build onto cuz I think putting this conveyor ball down might be a bit of a pain so I’m going to try doing something like this we want a

Belt here that might require oh I see that’s actually kind of fine kind of perfect and then can I from there kind of sneak my Hopper like that that looks like it’s totally working nice Okay cool so let’s take you away let’s replace down some of

These slabs like that and I guess I also want one here as well do I have a spare slab I do I got loads of spare slabs fantastic boom so all of our stuff is making its way into here of course it’s not particularly fast at extracting but

Again we’re not really producing that much at the minute it looks like there’s a lot currently because there was a bit of a backlog but all of these are kind of producing one item almost every 11 seconds occasionally every 10 seconds but obviously as we upgrade the

Capstones every like 7 Seconds at best or 6 seconds if we get to bronze they’re not coming in that fast and so I think once everything’s kind of calmed down I think this setup will be fast enough to extract everything that’s coming in I think right now we are extracting more

Than we’re producing as you can see quite clearly here and so the final piece of the puzzle is kind of getting the fuel into the jumbo furnace and for that I think we could do with the item router this seems pretty doable actually item router it’s four wooden Hoppers

Four conveyor belts and a chest we do have more wooden Hoppers and we have the ability here to make a chest and so the item rout here is kind of useful and what I think we can do is you can use this to kind of you pump basically I’ll show you real

Quick like over here you can throw down conveyor belts like this to pump items into the router and then you can use the router to split out and kind of filter where you want things to go for example if we want lapis to go to the red side

We can open it up and put lpis in the red side and then if we wanted to say coal to go to the blue side which is here we could put not lapis but coal on the blue side and then if we start feeding lapis and coal into this it’s

Going to start you guess it’s sending lapis to the red side and coal to the blue side perfect so my thought process here is that we can take this and I’m also fairly certain that it can feed directly into chests or into inventories to be more specific so here we’ve got

Coal going to the blue side so if we put coal in here it should go directly into the chest perfect because the problem that we could potentially run into here is that we don’t want items to spew we don’t want things to overflow and so

What I’m thinking is if we were to put down an item router let’s say kind of right about here it’s going to look awkward but the red side is now the side touching the jumpo furnace I’m going to set that to coal and I’m kind of thinking what I’m going

To try and do here somewhat awkwardly is extract the coal from this chest feed it up around into the item router have the item router send the coal into the jumbo furnace but then also give it the option to kind of send it just back to the

Chest as well because I want to create a loop so that the coal never spews out on to the ground now one thing that’s probably going to make a life a lot easier is if we get storage drawers unlocked which I think is available over here under basic research it requires

Eight Tech books which is fine we got quite a few of those now lying around 35 spare ones it also requires four double compressed Cobblestone four chests and a paper I think that’s going to be incredibly easy for us to do at this point we made a ton of blank research

Papers earlier in the episode we saw already that we could can do something like this to make four regular Minecraft chests and of course we have our compressed cobblestone generator churning away Cobblestone up on top of the miner over here and so we should have a ton of double compressed

Cobblestone ready for us to tap in so we do we only need the four perfect and then so back down here a little bit of fall damage never hurt anybody we can do something like this boom and boom hand this in here boom and boom and now we

Should be able to do something like this to make a draw for Co and in fact the draw controller here is purchasable and it’s only four techbooks and so if we do something like this we get a draw controller and this is potentially even better than what we

Already have because right now we’ve got 1 2 3 four four items that are being produced here and so if we were to go ahead and produce four storage drawers including the one we already have so you know three more storage draws here we should be able to put down one storage

Drawer for each of the coal lapis tin and copper at which point we can just have our conveyor belt here piping directly into a draw controller and then from there we can do something like this this this and this and we can basically designate these to Coal

Lapis tin and copper and the idea here for those who don’t know is that when you pipe into the controller it will automatically put that item into its respective draw if that draw is connected to the draw controller and so now we can kind of move this we don’t

Need you here anymore put that down over there and so now we can then extract specifically the coal from this coal draw assuming we have another extractor which we might have have kind of lost track of all the stuff we have even if we don’t the another extractor should be

Very easy for us to make so I’m thinking here we extract from this guy pump it into the rout and then from there if I were to do something ooh like this I do wonder if this can pump out if I put coal on the yellow side as well I’m not entirely

Certain if this is going to work by the way but I think it should if we put curl here and then kind of point that down oh we can’t point that down but we can point the next one down I don’t know if this is going to work at all actually

That might work hold on let me let me let me give this a try let’s rotate this to face the right way so that should start putting coal into here and it totally does right it totally works some of that coal is getting sent around and

Down so some of it’s going in here and some of it’s coming down and it does work it kind of gets dropped off and then goes back into the the system right now this might seem a little bit redundant like why not have all of the coal going into the jumbo furnace my

Hope is that we’re producing more coal than the jumbo furnace is using and so my hope is that by setting it up in this way going forward if we ever fill up the jumbo furnace with coal instead of the coal just spewing out which is what

Would happen by the way if the coal was uh going to the router and the rout had nowhere to send it it would just kind of spew all over the place which is not ideal instead now we’ve got a system to where any excess Co can just loop back

Around into the draw controller and we’re not going to run into any spew I don’t think until this storage draw here fills up completely with coal this can hold 248 coal though so it shouldn’t fill up for a little while at least and uh if it does we can always look at that

Point at potentially upgrading that draw to hold even more resources now as cool as this is someone does actually make a much more sensible idea that we should probably utilize so another thing you can make from Storage draws is trim trim is pretty nifty stuff because as I

Mentioned earlier if you want the draw controller to work your storage draw has to be touching the draw controller if not directly then indirectly so right now the lpis and the tin is touching the draw controller directly whereas the coal and the copper they’re touching it

Indirectly right so what you can do is or what we could do here actually which I think is going to be less cool I do quite like this little system we’ve got going on here but what is going to be more sensible and the twitch chat does prefer it when I’m somewhat sensible

What’s going to be more sensible here is if we get rid of this monstrosity if we move the draw for Co over to here like this we can then just use a wooden Hopper to feed directly into the jumbo furnace and then all we have to do from

There is just connect this up to the draw controller we could put three more storage draws down between here and here but if you don’t want to put storage draws down that’s where trim comes in you can use trim kind of like a cable to connect your other stuff up and that’s

Exactly what we’ve done here we’ve got our draw controller that is now connected to the cold drawer via this trim again definitely a little less cool in my opinion but it is much more efficient it doesn’t look the best I’ll probably have to try and find a way to

Make this look hopefully a little bit nicer going forward but I think we do have a Prett pretty good system here that is going to continually produce for us copper tin coal and Lapis and it looks like at the minute we are in fact producing more coal than we’re using to

Run the system which is good and so next time chat we’ll come back and I think we’ll Begin work towards finally getting our first basic techum and kind of finishing the basic Tech chapter of this Quest book this doesn’t seem too difficult we are going to have to set up

An advanced crafting table and we are going to have to start getting some C cook from a coven and that’s also going to be how we get treated with as well but we’ve already got bronze can make more bronze with the T and copper we’re getting we already know how to make

Clear and smooth Stone and yeah this doesn’t look too too bad and once we have that we can of course start looking at the next Tis of support for him and we can begin with the advanced Tech and we can work on from there but those are
