GeminiTay – Fox Sanctuary Build – Minecraft 1.16 Survival Let’s Play

Hello everyone and welcome to episode 23 of my let’s play series just going for my casual morning ride on bella sorry bella the berry bushes i should really do something about those berry bushes starting this episode with a little bit of deforesting because i’m surprisingly running out of wood i don’t know how

This keeps happening to me i should i should really have more wood on me for all the resource grinding i end up doing in a day today i think i would like to do a little bit of building out here in the megataga haven’t done much out here

Yet and it’s about time right picking some berries thank you very much ouch they kind of hurt you know i live in newfoundland and we do a lot of berry picking here especially this time of year when there’s blueberries in season and ouch they don’t hurt blueberry bushes don’t

Hurt these are sweet berries so i guess it’s not the same but i’ve never been stung by a blueberry bush oh there’s a fox oh i accidentally woke it up oh come here foxy oh my gosh where’d it go it was so cute i just want to see it again you didn’t

Fall right they are the most adorable little creatures in this game i’m pretty sure i love them i have a plan i am going to build a place where all foxes will feel perfectly at home won’t have to feel scared it’ll be like a fox sanctuary the only issue is that there’s

A lot of forest here and uh i i kind of needed to be safe for foxes so i guess i have to start deforesting All right deforest incomplete but don’t worry i am going to build my own custom trees in this area i just wanted to kind of clear it out so we can start on the buildings first now before we can get any foxes in this area i need to make it

Safe so i need kind of a place of operations to work out of and do all the things i’m thinking this spot right here is going to be absolutely perfect for that i’m going to build it out of spruce locks you know what i only have spruce logs on

Me i should probably go get blocks um one second and a back with shulker boxes much better going for a very rustic feel on this build so almost log cabin-ish and i’m gonna put it right up against this edge like this will be the back wall right here

And then we’ll do i don’t know maybe seven one two three four five six seven and then another log and then i don’t know maybe we’ll go buy threes yeah that’d probably be big enough and of course to add to that log cabin feel just gonna keep layering in the

Logs i often use dark oak with spruce logs because i think the colors just blend really really nicely together so that’s the choice that i’m going to be doing for the roof i’m not sure what i’m going to fill the roof in with though i haven’t thought this far ahead

But like what if the roof was soul sand like that’s kind of a look right but it’s kind it kinda is i kind of like it i’m not gonna lie it’s pretty cool okay i’m gonna try it i’m gonna fill it in so update here’s what our fox sanctuary looks like so far

It’s not bad it’s definitely a different sort of style and build to the other builds that we have going on but that’s a good thing i think okay so what i’m debating right now is where i want to put the wall i can put

The wall in one block to give us a bit of depth or i can put it out here i think i’m gonna go for depth you know what i haven’t been on a lot of my other builds i haven’t been doing a lot of depth in them

This is gonna be one of those builds that actually has the one block layer of depth definitely the next thing this little cabin is missing is a big chimney so i’m gonna try to get one of those in now maybe off to the side over here i

Kind of like doing them on the sides i won’t lie i’m a little bit addicted to that so i’m just gonna do a really big one over here ah yes i really really like that i think that fits it so well okay now my only problem is the bottom

Is a little bit large compared to this part so i’m struggling to put like windows in not sure exactly what i’m going to do about that but i do also have to finish off the end so i’ll do that first so i’m having a similar problem to the tavern

Where i don’t really have a place to put a front door so i put one here well wall blocks aren’t good enough to connect to doors yet so it doesn’t really work but luckily i can do the exact same thing i did to the tavern and

Just kind of build like an extra little doorway out here that looks way better already oh my gosh that totally fixed the problem that we had so now i can just get rid of this little part and put up some spruce walls out here and this will be our porch

Definitely gonna put some sweet berries all along the foundation as well as little details it’s gonna look so cute all right fox sanctuary work area is pretty much complete uh well there’s a couple things i could think of to do like um buttons i’m gonna use buttons on the logs to

Just kind of cap those off but in general you know we’re this part is done we can move on to an area for the foxes so as for that area for the foxes definitely gonna need lots of logs i have so much junk in my inventory what

Is going on what is all this um let’s just use these torches to just light up so there’s no baddies i’ll hide some lighting eventually sorry about the torch man i definitely definitely need to make a whole bunch of fences and now i basically just have to go all

Around here i’m going to melt some of the fences up with logs like this so random logs like so in areas and then we’ll kind of connect that together with some fences kind of just in the transitioning areas like that and this will kind of be the style we go for

I like it okay i’m working on the big fence going all the way around the property and i realized we kind of need an entrance i’m not sure where this is going to be but this is my path that i had from the campsite going in this way so i think

Maybe a little bit of an archway kind of right here might work yeah that’s pretty good as a gateway it’ll do the trick for now all right and here we are the fox sanctuary so you can enter through here i’ll put a bunch of gates here let me

Craft them so gates at the entrance whoopsie there we go see oh my gosh gates at the entrance that we can walk through here and then once we’re inside this is the area where all of the foxes can kind of roam within here so the next logical

Step is to make this into a place where foxes will actually want to be foxes like sleeping under trees in the shade and the day and roaming around at night so i think we make them a couple of little boulders and rocks some custom trees some water sources some food

Things that they would like starting with something pretty basic which is just the boulders i’m just gonna use some andesite to sprinkle some of these around they can be areas where the foxes can play on or just interact with or just aesthetic i don’t know whatever

These foxes want i will do i’m really inspired right now by a channel that i was just watching which is called save a fox and they kind of showed a little bit about their fox sanctuary in their videos it gave me a good idea of what

Those look like in real life so that i could properly decorate mine in minecraft if you’re interested i’ll try and link it below if i don’t remember somebody remind me now in the video that i watched there were so many different little hideouts and almost like dog house areas for the

Foxes so i think i would like to do that in minecraft as well so just an area where my minecraft boxes can kind of escape to maybe like down here in the back of the property we do a little one so just a simple little shack like this

Where they can get out of the sunlight if they’d like to and kind of hide under here lots of patches of sweet berry bushes of course for them and finally we definitely need some trees this is what’s really going to bring this whole area together so let’s get started on some

Mo is just the happiest when i’m making trees these are so much fun to create look at these cute little spruce trees these are this first tree these are the first spruce trees i think i’ve made in survival i don’t think i had any in my last survival world and

I haven’t made any in this one yet i don’t know single-player survival at least they’re really fun i think they’re one of the easier ones to make once you get the hang of it because there’s less leaves involved and no branches the fox area is now complete and is

Looking amazing i absolutely love it in here it’s only missing one thing foxes obviously um i do need to make leads for that though i have some slime balls but i don’t have quite enough strings so i’m just gonna head over to my string farm and it’s getting

Nighttime so this is a perfect time to camp out in the tent all right string acquired and we now have four leads that should be plenty for what we need to do the next step and i’m gonna use my electro for this is to scout out for

Some foxes so i’m just gonna look along the edge of this mega tiger here and see if we can find any i hope i don’t have to go too far oop i found a doggo you’re not what i’m looking for but you’re cute i’m starting to feel as though foxes do not

Exist oh my gosh the camouflage bro that is skill hey i’m crouching okay i got it it’s not trusting or anything like that um it said walk at us which is kind of cool but um i just need one more now one more fox can you take

Me to your friends i cannot believe how well camouflaged this fox was that was impressive look at the little fox it’s sitting oh my gosh you’re perfect come on we gotta get you a friend oh do you want that chicken do you want that chicken buddy a full-on nose dive

What are we doing that was intense like full full you just just eat yourself into the cliffside that is what just happened i’m what do you want the chicken here do you want that no you got a feather okay whatever as long as you’re happy i suppose

I saw another fox oh my gosh you’re gonna have a friend got it okay i have two foxes oh my goodness this is fantastic now i just have to keep you guys alive and i also lost my extra lead so there’s that oh my gosh the lids break again

What do you two think you’re doing stop that stop snatching your leads give me that my gosh come on guys we’re home isn’t it beautiful in here so now that we’re in here we can make baby foxes and look how cute so the two adults they’ll run from me

Kind of forever i didn’t mean to throw you a golden carrot um but you’ll take it so that’s fine i just want the leaves back thank you but the baby fox won’t be scared of me which i think is so beautiful and look at the picking berries i love them just

Munching on their berries sleeping under the tree oh my gosh if that’s not the most beautiful thing sleeping under my custom tree next to the sanctuary oh oh my heck this is beautiful this is exactly what i envisioned when i thought of the sanctuary the scene right here

Okay now let the foxes sleep i’m gonna back away and move on to the next project so i’ve been trying to decide what the next thing i should do is for a while now and i have a few ideas kind of rotating in my head but there’s one

That’s standing out that’s really needed this is our list of farms that i may or may not want to get to at some point at the top iron farm and i agree we kind of do need to get to that one so i think

I’m going to set up an iron farm i may end up regretting saying that i’m going to do this but it seems fine right surely i’m making a shulker box specifically for this i’m following a tutorial by wattles i’ll link it down below basically he has

Listed all the materials that i need so i’m just going around and getting them i do need a lava bucket i don’t think i have one luckily for me though very easy to get lava at my build site so this is where i am going to build the iron farm

It’s a little bit out of the way so we will have the afk here it won’t be passively going but iron farms kind of need to be up in the air above ground and they’re a bit of an eye sore so i’d rather put it back here behind the

Witch’s head where it’s a little bit more out of sight and out of mind this is about how high up the iron farm needs to go and uh my village is going to have a view of this iron farm but it should be far enough from

Both of the villages that one and the one over there that it should it shouldn’t trigger anything so this right here is going to be the center of the farm this is where i put the zombie right in there oh my gosh i’m stressed building this

I’m going with a very very simple design but still i’ve never really made one of these so it’s interesting quick oversight i forgot about wool for beds kind of important luckily i have sheep here All right just placing the beds in now this is a little bit stressful uh that one gets a green bed perfect so zombie goes there villagers go here this is pretty easy so far i could totally handle this okay here’s our villager room and our zombie room all complete looks good just

Gotta get the mobs in there so the next step is definitely the hardest part of this entire thing i have to get villagers and a zombie up here i have to name tag the zombie um so this is not going to be quite as fun um

It’ll be fine though i’ll figure it out so the plan is to build a staircase this is what waddles suggested ah survival mode going to work on the villagers first because they’re probably a bigger pain in the backside than a zombie luckily though i do have a villager breeder so

It’s not really that bad i’m being a little bit dramatic i should probably turn this thing back on i’ve had it off for a while all right there you go sir very cute okay this is a little bit sad because i just cleaned up these tracks but whatever i don’t mind working with

Tracks so to conserve tracks i am once again going to be making use of this house and just storing some villagers in here all right first villager please thank you and off you go you know what it’s my turn to go on a ride oh it is genuinely just so much fun all

Right three villagers ready to go to the port to be boated over to our iron farm just gotta clean up this mess this feels much more efficient than the last time i did this and i’m very proud of that fact it’s nice it’s efficient

It looks good all i need is a button and off you go all right first test subject okay so from here we are going to have to build more rails you get to just chill there for a moment so that’s all the rails i have at the minute

Gonna go get another villager and i’ll worry about it when i have them all over here this is another really good reason to make paths some things you just can’t electro fly for like i can’t elight your fly villagers over there i just can’t but having this path made it so much easier

All right final villager is being brought to the iron firm so basically i just need the mine cart to fall in there should be pretty simple the hardest part of this might be transferring from the boat to the mine cart to be honest alright dude please make this easy on me

Please please please hop on shore hop on shore nope oh my gosh why now just just go up to the top should be easy right i’ve never been so thankful to see a villager this high up you did skip right over the drop down though can you fit Oh you do fit okay all right so now i just have to do that two more times and do the exact same thing with a zombie and name tag it this should be pretty simple i’m gonna go ahead and finish this now i’ll bring you guys back when

Some sort of pixel art over here to kind of blend in with the terrain so when you look this way it’s kind of like a curtain i don’t know that’s like the first idea that came to mind to kind of hide this area but i don’t know what i’ll actually

End up doing for now though this is going to be a great place for me to afk maybe while i’m away at school so that i can actually get some materials and be productive even though i’m studying so so far we’ve got 64 and almost another half a stack that’s like really good

I feel good about this i haven’t afkeed it yet so that’s awesome i’m very excited to have infinite iron and that was a very easy design so i appreciate wattles having that turning on shaders for the next part of this episode because i know that you all enjoy that

And i haven’t turned them on in a little while let’s go on a little walk around i want to talk to you so this week actually the exact day that this is uploaded which is tomorrow for me tuesday i go back to college and i’d be

Lying if i said i wasn’t a little bit stressed and a little bit anxious about this uh i am going to be going to the actual school i’m not taking online class because i have to get caught up in labs and our class sizes are really small so

It’s all good but it’s still definitely a big source of worry for me so i feel like that’s kind of come across in this episode a little bit maybe i’m not quite as cheery as normal but hopefully that’ll be back to normal soon as soon as i get into the school and

Actually see how everything is i should be fine it does mean though that we have officially dropped down to one episode of the 1.16 survival series per week this series is still the main series running on my channel i know that this week you have also seen x-life as well
