Hello everybody welcome back to another video today I’m going to be taking you guys through the process of building this epic heaven versus hell build that I’ve been working on over the last month this Bell took about 25 to 30 hours of building in total and I hope you guys Enjoy seeing my process of building this awesome build I seriously had so much fun making it I hope you guys have as much fun watching it the time-lapse and cinematic to start off with this build we’re going to be working on the train for the heaven side we’re going with Some soft hills and on the bottom of the floating islands we’ll have the typical island shape of a triangle done with world at its fierce once this is ready we will flip it over to the hillside and then take off the top and begin using go brush to shape some sharper mountains on The top of this side I want to work on really contrasting the two islands one having a lot of sharper more harsh shapes and the other having softer rounder shapes for the heavens side I’m going to be using a gradient ball to color around the edges we’re going with Some light green light brown and white colors for this train when you’re going around with a gradient ball and then using some voxels splatter brushes to paint the rest of the terrain once we’re ready we’ll move over to the hillside where we’re going to be doing the Mountains and a gradient of grey fading into an almost black color towards the bottom and then going to the nether colors of netherrack soul sand and magma blocks I love the way of this turned out now that we have that in place we can work on our wire framing so the idea Between these two islands is that they are the gateways to heaven and the gateway to hell the Gateway to heaven has an angel defending it with her shield the gateway to hell has a ferocious demon dragon coming out of it attacking the angel that is in front of The Gateway to heaven I’m marking out the dragon with some spheres here marking out where its head its shoulders and its hips will be for its head I’m going to mark it at the top of the skull with gold blocks putting the eye socket In with the top of the skull to make it look like it is all one I will then hinge the lower jaw down towards the upper jaw I will easily be able to add some spikes to this once I’m ready once the head proportions are in place I’m Then going to proportion the rest of the based off of his head this is where I began to struggle quite a lot because although I wanted to go for a very dynamic shape of Dragon I was limited to what I could do because of my idea of it Coming out of the Gateway I tried a bunch of different shapes and just cutting seemed to get the proportions correct or to make the shapes look natural like the dragon was moving so I ended up going for a more basic dragon shape although I do think I still Managed to learn quite a lot from this build I learned how to do much better wings and a much better head shape for my dragons so I think next time I will be able to use a more dynamic shape with a little bit less trouble now that I’ve Decided on the shape that I want my dragon to have it’s fairly easy to mark this in with some voxels spheres and then blend it with the voxel erode brushes and blend ball I do a lot of reports and changing and get people to come around and look to help me to get These proportions correct I always find looking at them myself I can never figure out where I’ve gone wrong but if I get other people’s opinions it makes it a lot easier now we’ll start on some spikes for some details on this dragon for the spikes I’m using the line Command with voxel for this hand here I’m going to be curving it down in sort of a casual position one of the key pieces of advice that I got for this dragon is actually to not use the flip command and make it symmetrical this is something that I did at first because I Wanted to save time but I ended up changing up the other hand and I think that looks better I’m going to be adding some ferocious teeth to our dragon and then MOOCs start on the wings for the wings I’m using the line command and the curve command to get the bone shapes in Place once the bones are in it’s a lot easier to think about the flesh of the wings you can see here I’m using the align command for the finger bones of that wing and I do them sort of a way that they have a joint in the middle there And then I connect the wing flesh with the curve command for the right arm over here I’m going to be placing it as if it is on a building so as the dragon is floating right now it doesn’t make a lot of sense but in the context of the build It will work out quite a lot better I wanted to have the organic interacting with the structures and Turing around it now we’re going to be filling in the wings this took a really really long time you got to have a lot of patience when doing this because you have to do It 100% by hand so by hand I go through and fill in these wings and it’s not as simple as just filling it in you have to make sure the wings have shape that look like they’re flowing I don’t think I did a fantastic job at this this time but Once the coloring is in place it helps out my shape and quite a bit next time hopefully I’ll be able to truly master some dragon wings I’m getting closer though what do you guys think now that I’m happy with my wings we could start adding the finishing touches Of the shaping which is just some spikes going along its arms and the long it’s back to add to the ferocious scary demon dragon head quite like the way that this is coming together let’s start working it on the angel side of this so for my angel I first start working with its Legs and feet and I get kind of stuck because human organics are not something that I’m super familiar with so I end up asking a fellow builder spiny for help now this builder is so insanely good at organics you should definitely check them out here they are giving me some Advice on how to do the torso and head and apparently it’s a good idea to start with the torso and head so that you can get your proportions correct a lot easier once I had their advice I was able to put it into action fairly quickly and get the shape that I wanted A lot easier so I’m very grateful for them to helping me out I think the next time I do a human organic I will be able to put the rest of their advice to work and hopefully it get one done a little bit easier and hopefully a little bit better as well Shaping this human was so difficult but it was so worth it I also found putting clothing on her was a little bit difficult but I think I worked it out in the end here we are putting in some preliminary wings on her we also have her shield and weapon marked in now We’re going to begin coloring the dragon wings so for the dragon wings I wanted them to look fiery like flames of hell are coming out of this demon dragons wings so I want some swirl colors and then a gradient of orange and I think that worked out very nicely to sort of Brighten up that background I think colored the spikes in with some obsidian and put a collar and chain on the dragon as if it was breaking free from hell now we began working on the gates of how I want the gates of heaven and hell’ to look similar but have key differences so For the Hell Gate I put a lot of spikes on it and made it very tall as if it’s looming over this island I think putting in all these sharp edges and dark colors really helped bring out that contrast now we color our dragon in that deep Bread and I will do some texturing later but some preliminary texturing with the nether blocks is never a bad thing now we start on our basic held structures the structure is something that I’ve always struggled with balancing structure with organic is very very difficult and I struggle with it quite a lot Putting the armor on this angel is also something that I struggled with I put some preliminary thoughts together based off of some reference images that I had but I wasn’t fully happy with it so I end up coming back to it a little later after I add some more details to hell For these buildings of adding in some sort of city like structures to one of them and the other one is a little bit more fantasy looking I couldn’t really decide on what style I wanted to go for but I think I ended up looking okay for The angel wings I’m going to be doing them completely by hand originally I put a curve up on the front up on the top there but it ended up looking better with me just doing it by hand and I really liked the shape of the wings and How they came out now we’re ready to work on the Gateway to heaven so very similarly to the Gateway to hell we’re going to be building up a big pillar doing a simple triangle roof on the top with a archway coming over for the heaven shapes we’re going to be going With some much more elegant shapes circular patterns and a light blue color just like the sky for the structures in Heaven’s same thing we’re going with some rounder softer more elegant shapes just stacking a couple of those on top of each other sort of fill in the space I like the little sandstone details and diamond accents that we used in this structure once we have the structures in place it’s time to actually finish the armor that goes on our angel I struggled with this a lot but I think what I ended up resting on worked out fairly nicely for Our angel now we need to work on her shield so that she can be shielded from this demon dragon’s fire so I give her a nice big shield and some magic to hold in her hand her hair is of course being blown backwards by the dragon breath Now it’s time to work out all of those small details that we’ve been neglecting for so long so on the heavens side we’re going to be doing some palm trees to sort of fill in the space on the hillside I end up putting some bones working out these Structures a little bit more and of course doing the fire that is coming out of our dragon here I wanted to make this very wispy so I did a lot of curls coming out of it now we’re going to put some clouds around the base of our Islands for the heavens side we’re going to be doing white clouds and gray on the hillside I tried to do different types of clouds on each one to again use that contrast to our advantage now it’s just a couple more details on our health side and this build will be finished I hope You guys like it please enjoy the cinematic that is about to come Video Information

An Angel and Demon Dragon fighting to defend the gateways to Heaven and Hell. This build was so challenging to create, but so fun! Organics, terrain, and structure combined will always be a challenging combination for me. I hope you guys enjoy this video, let me know what you think of the build! 😀
