Hello everyone welcome to a building tutorial today i’m going to show you how to create this simple starter farm area starting with the barn these are the materials that you’re going to need for this tutorial so if you’re building in survival mode go out and gather a barrel Full of this stuff right now maybe some extras if you’d like to detail all right grab all of the wooden blocks you need and go to the area you’re going to build the barn we’re going to start by building up the pillars so we’re going To space these out by five in the front and then seven in the back and this is going to be connected together with walls this side here is our entrance and this is the general layout of our barn we’re going to then build our pillars up until They are seven blocks tall so one two three four five six seven and do this to each pillar then we’re going to come along this roof edge and add stairs to both of the longer edges of our barn’s roof just like so on each end place an upside down stair should just overhang That pillar and then on top of that a full block on all sides on top of our full block we do another stair all four of them and then an upside down one next to that right side up one again on top of that and then upside down one more time and Then we’re gonna switch over to slabs on top of this and then a full block again slabs and a full block and that should give us the shape of our barn’s roof which is lovely you can do this as tall or as short as you would like to on The pillars obviously for your own world now let’s go ahead and just fill in this roof i’m going to be using spruce wood for this and we’re just literally matching what we just did so stairs where there’s a stair full block where there’s a full block and Just filling it in when you get up to the center of the roof we’re going to drag our dark oak all the way across to give it a nice divide and then do the other side all right our roof is looking great now we can just go ahead with our Oak wood and completely fill in these walls in the front here we’re going to leave a gap for a doorway so just making a nice little rectangle like that figuring out how high i’m going to go three by three for my doorway just like So and then just fill the rest in i am going to want windows in this of course to dress it up so i’m gonna make three wide hole right there and then again in the back i’ll do another three hole now if you wanted to be finished or process here you could But of course we’re gonna add some details out from this pillar block here we’re gonna come out by three and then again on this side out by three giving us a three gap right in the center here we’re gonna build this up by four and then fill it in with walls punching A little hole for a doorway right about here and then we need to get our roof on the roof is gonna be built out of slabs so just on each side aligning the edge with some slabs coming inwards and then staircasing them up to a point At the point once again we’re going to drag that slab across put a oak wall right there to kind of fill in that gap and then grab your spruce slabs and just fill in your roof that is beautiful okay let’s grab some of our detail blocks now we’re going to Go ahead and grab our stripped dark oak log and make it look like there is a beam running all the way through our roof by just using this top full block under our roof one and placing two logs this is a really cool effect and we can Also go ahead and hang a lantern right off of that on each side for some lighting if you want to you can finish this off with a little oak button right on the edge beautiful going to grab my oak stairs and just go on each side of This window and kind of lean that in and then fill that in with a fence perfect let’s do that on both sides so stair stair and filled in with fence next we’re going to create an overhang over this part of our roof so i’m going to go Ahead with our campfires right here of course we’re gonna want to put those out and then also a trap door grabbing a spruce trap door and shifting as we do this so that we can place them on each other just like so beautiful and of course placing some Fence to make it look like that is supported if you’re keeping animals in here this may be a good place to put a gate instead of some fence so that you can just come in and out very very easily at this point there’s not that much left to detail it’s pretty much up To you to figure out what you need or want i’m going to place a door in and i like to stack a little bit of hay as some detail on the side over here just in different orientations i think it looks pretty cool looks like an area where you would Want to feed the animals so that’s really nice and that ladies and gentlemen is our barn next we are going to be building up this stables this is roughly what you’re going to be needing in order to build this make sure to get a little bit of extra just in Case you were wanting to detail things you don’t have to go back and it’s a lot easier to build so to get started on the staples build we are going to begin with some pillars we’re going to build these spaced by three so one two three and Then a pillar one two three and then a pillar and then one two three and then a pillar so we end up with these three separate stalls then we’re going to space it five wide and do three again so your layout looks something like this five and then three three three we’re Gonna build each of these pillars up until they are six tall next we’re going to begin on the roof going on the longer side we’re going to just simply drag our staircase all the way along lengthwise overhanging by one on each end then on the ends to complete Our roof we’re just going to staircase this up so an upside down one with the right side up one on top over and over again until we reach a peak at the point where it peaks we’re gonna do an upside down and a right side up to get this Sort of shape and do that on both sides once our roof shape is in we can connect the peak of this roof together with a slab we are then going to use our spruce stairs to just fill in this roof just dragging it straight across all the way Along until it’s filled in next we’re going to begin placing our walls we’re going to completely fill in this side with some oak planks and the other side to match it and then along the top edge of each of these stalls we’re going to put some planks on both sides I’m gonna do this on both sides now this is the stage where i would like to make this roof a little bit more interesting we’re going to take away this section right here and kind of change up the roof a little bit so i’m going to change this stair on the pillar To be upside down then i’m going to come in here and i’m going to place a staircase on top of this kind of staircasing it up into a point like so upside down or right side up so this is almost the same shape as what we did on the end Then i’m going to bring this oak wood all the way up to match it like so and we’re just going to curve our stairs in and bring a slab here replace this with dark oak so it connects and there we have it that’s much much nicer i’m gonna punch a hole right there For a window and then we’re going to use some stairs here to make little archways as openings in these areas once that’s done on all sides you should have something that looks a little bit like this we’re then going to add a little bit of detail to the roof by just adding Three of these little slabs to each of the edges it’s a nice little detail we can do that on both sides and of course over on this side we do have to once again just bring this up into a more interesting roof just like so the final Step to this build is a little bit of detail so i’m just going to be adding my fence gate here nice and wide so any horses can get out of them and then fences all along on the ends of my pillars i like to decorate these with some barrels i think They make great little end posts here as details and they’re also a great place to store your leads or any other horse gear that you may want in your staples then going to simply just fill in these windows with my fence gate and i’m going to take my pillar just Like i did on the barn and just add two to each corner so it looks like it’s running all the way through and supporting the roof at this point the build is complete so this is sort of how i imagine these two buildings looking together you would probably connect them together with Various paths whatever you wanted those paths to be and add different little bushes and decor all around them to really liven up your world and add a lot of detail i hope this tutorial helped you out and that you enjoy having these simple starter builds in your own world Don’t stress out about getting them exactly perfect it’s going to be beautiful either way and you’ll have an amazing firm by the end of it thank you so much for watching this tutorial everyone good luck in your worlds bye Video Information
