Grian – BUILD BATTLES! [Minecraft minigame] – 3 Rounds!

Hello my name is green and today i’m going to be playing a bit of build battle so let’s get straight into a game i actually have played build battle before and i know what i’m doing so let’s see how this game goes i was i got a bit of a backlash last

Time for being a little bit harsh i did look over the video yeah i was a little bit harsh but not too harsh okay so the theme today is music hmm how am i gonna do that i guess i could do like a giant piano that would be cool so

I’m gonna get some quartz slab or i could get some wood yeah i think i know i’m gonna do roughly but it’s gonna take a little bit of preparation time so i’m gonna need a little bit of log a little bit of spruce wood and getting the blocks is the worst part of

This game okay right so i’m going to do four legs for the piano itself um and then it’s gonna have a bit of a curved shape so i want to have that and that and then that will make up the bulk of it i suppose and then i’m going to

Go like this uh four minutes remaining already so i’m actually gonna just do a very basic shape and like try and make something that curves around because you know how pianos will go like that that’s what i’m going to try and achieve here but kind of messed

Up the first time let’s have a quick look around it’s pretty stressful uh let’s see can get that shape a bit better i think yeah that’ll do i haven’t really got too much time to mess around with it so what i was gonna do for the keys is kind of like this

Or maybe even i could uh get a daylight sensor yeah that looks a bit better it’s not perfect but at least it looks like you know keys on the thing so i can make a quick uh stool so oh boy three minutes already right let’s have a look okay maybe that was

A bit too thick i think so let’s make that a little bit smaller okay so kind of know what i’m doing now i’m going to create the i don’t know what it’s called i’ve no knowledge of music but there’s like the thing that goes over the top like that so i’m going to

Need spruce staircase spruce is definitely like my favorite type of wood absolutely it’s like the best so i’m going to do that to begin with and then i think i’m going to go up with a shallow incline with the spruce log i mean the spruce step so going up

How much time have i got two minutes two minutes oh boy i think i can do it i think i can finish there’s nothing worse than not finishing in this game so i’m actually going to give it a little bit of shape so i’m going to make it go back a little bit

I don’t really remember what grand piano looks like okay the more i think about it the less this seems like i know the theme is music but like i’ve also seen the theme of piano so i guess people that play this a lot are going to be like well you didn’t

Actually do the do next to do it so i could actually get penalized for this but hopefully people understand that pianos make music so i guess i’m i’m in the right a little bit who knows so i’m just gonna make a quick thing like that there we go that’s that’s kind of okay

That’s that’s okay in my book so let’s get shift click mobs to attach leads okay that’ll be fine i don’t don’t need to know that um so right what i need to do is mimic some sort of string uh in here i don’t know how i’m gonna do that

But i can actually uh actually create some sort of thing like this just to give it uh some texture oh i got 30 seconds oh boy oh boy okay i’m just might have to just fill this in oh i was gonna put some uh music particle effects everywhere to

Make it look like it was actually playing something but i guess we can’t so i guess these are the strings is that what that’ll have to do uh eight seconds am i able to make uh sort of particles because music was music note oh so close okay let’s have a look um

I’m not quite sure what this is i know what that is although i can’t really remember the name oh i didn’t oh damn it didn’t i didn’t vote okay so there’s no blocks everywhere um villagers that’s kind of lazy i wouldn’t even call that a bit although i got they got notes

I guess i’ll go okay cause they got the theme at least right so they tried to make a note i’m gonna have to they didn’t finish like one of the uh i’m gonna have to poop it he didn’t finish because uh that he was obviously building a noteblock which is fine which

Is good okay so this guy’s gone for like a stage with armor stands i guess that’s okay actually they got the theme they got a build done which is the main thing uh okay i’m not sure what the what what was going on here so i’m gonna have to poop it

Gonna have to poop it i don’t i don’t understand where the connection is uh what this song is dedicated to my wife and kids okay i’ll give it an okay i mean they tried right um i think it’s like a phonograph or something or it’s a tv i’m gonna have to

Give it okay it’s better than a lot of the other ones i’ve seen today um again they haven’t really finished man really i don’t think when you give something uh contemporary like music to to put into a physical form it’s really difficult oh that guy went for piano as

Well hell yeah his is real good actually i like it he’s even got the little pedestals down there and he’s got the keys he didn’t quite actually i would say that’s pretty much finished yeah i’m gonna give that good that was really good um oh my goodness that’s really good i’m

Gonna give that epic he’s playing the violin and there’s music coming out of it wow i’m i really enjoy that okay so here’s mine with the the piano didn’t manage to get any particles off oh dear everyone’s got the poop out oh boy oh i won woo

I really thought the guy with the violin was gonna win he definitely did better than me i i wouldn’t have thought of that that was really clever with the person in the violin maybe people didn’t know it was a violin okay so let’s get straight into another game

No messing around with lobbies for me let’s see how this game goes so 4321 in we go deserted island okay so i think if i’m correct i can just water the floor there we go deserted island nice okay i know exactly what to do this is like fairly easy

Because i can just do sand uh a log i need jungles i’m gonna do like a palm tree just an island with a palm tree uh spam sand everywhere man this is the this is the sort of time that i really need my box of sniper uh

It’s terraining in like five minutes by hand oh this is horrible we can definitely get something nice out of this though i can do like a maybe like an x marks a spot on a treasure chest um like i can put a boat there i think i

Can put a boat there i’m not sure uh yeah so i can go around this is not not the most entertaining thing in the world uh but we’ll see how that goes right four minutes remaining nice nice nice nice nice um as long as i get the house done not the house sorry

The island done uh i can actually achieve what i want hopefully um right so got a basic island so the key when you’re doing something like this is to have the the first layer stretch out really far or as far as possible not to have like these two blocks here and

There we go like that and then i want probably a third layer just for the sake of it this is like really like sketchy in a uh minecraft kind of way right so now i want to do the palm tree so i’m going to go up to the side and like so um

This is where it comes this is where it gets really difficult so i’m just gonna like do something really quick instead of because i’ve got like a few things that i want to do for this island so i don’t want to waste too much time and i’ve

Already got i’ve only got three minutes left less than three minutes left so i’m gonna do like a oh my god that’s okay after we do that that one’s quite kind of bad uh so i’m gonna do a quick palm tree nothing nothing too fancy i’m actually

Gonna go and grab a head real quick oh where’s the heads uh custom skulls yeah i just want colors where’s colors oh there we go color uh brown there we go so i want a couple of coconuts they all have to do um right so now no no no i need a

Crafting table or something and then i can get a campfire going uh oh boy two minutes two minutes so i want a cold ore let’s make it look like someone was here perhaps then i want one of these with a cauldron there we go there we go uh probably want some like cobblestone

Or something just to decorate this with it’s a bit weird it’s all in the sand like fence coming out the sand doesn’t look doesn’t look too good so i could actually get some quick gravel just to like mix it in with the sand because cobble uh just going into sand

Is a little bit weird um then i can grab some red and do a little x there we go this is like an x and oh i want a boat i want a boat i don’t have time to make a proper boat so i can do that um

Deserted island what else can i do i’ve actually got a minute left i’m doing uh surprisingly better i guess i could fix up these real quick because these are triggering me there we go it’s a bit better and i can do that a bit i can actually improve my island now

That i’ve got a bit of spare time that’s kind of everything i wanted to do um i suppose i could give it a little bit more just tiny bits of detail it’s good your body know where all the blocks are because if you don’t know your your way around the creative

Inventory you can get really stuck i imagine um yeah that that was kind of all i wanted to do there’s only 20 seconds left let’s take a look what else i could possibly put in here really quickly no no no i’m fine with that i’m fine with that that’s okay with me

Whoo all right so there’s a lot of like uh i have a i could have put rocks ah that okay that’s good that’s actually i’m gonna go good because he thought of rocks and i didn’t he basically did the same thing as me with a little less terraining

But he did really well this person not so good not so good i’m he did it but like i mean that looks like a swimming pool we’re on a deserting deserted island okay here’s mine let’s see what people think let’s see what people think so got my coconut tree x marks a spot

There’s a boat come on oh someone said no just good all right i’m gonna i’m gonna have to poop though i’m gonna have to poop that one oh boy oh boy i’m not sure i’m not even sure okay this guy like clearly was going somewhere and then didn’t deserted island

Did did they think they meant desert island or something because i mean that’s good that’s like that’s okay they just haven’t quite got the uh ocean around it so it doesn’t feel like an island this one’s pretty good actually i could have put cactus on oh he did

Exactly the same thing that’s awesome okay i’m gonna go for good he did the water as well oh this guy got a similar idea not sure about the head i’m gonna only give this one okay cause it’s not quite good as the other one yeah not yet exactly it’s not much of a

Deserted it’s not abandoned there’s a house on it exactly oh this guy used red sand uh but he actually went grass on it i suppose that does count as a deserted island it doesn’t mean it has to be sand um no i think that’s a boat

Oh this guy didn’t know about the thing he tried to place water everywhere i’m gonna have to give it good though because he got the thing and oh look at the little mushroom he obviously didn’t know about the thing i can’t blame him oh i won yay

There were a couple of good ones in there but yeah i think that possibly mine was the best out of them although i didn’t put any rocks in and i definitely could have okay so let’s hop straight into another one no waiting around i absolutely hate it when youtubers wait around in lobbies

So we’ve got to just jump straight back in right let’s see pirates oh boy okay oh no pirates uh this is not good this is not gonna be fun i’m not the best at making ships in fact people keep asking me for a ship tutorial um

But i mean i could give it a go so let’s start so the basic way of making a uh ship is just by making the frame first as as i do with like most things that i build um but what a lot of people do wrong

With ships is that they go for like a really elongated nose like that but what you really need to do is like a a big bit at the back and then not too much at the front you don’t need you don’t actually need that much of a uh so

Like i went like this most people go like that really really pointy which is what you want and also you want to actually edit this part of the thing most people go for a straight edge along this bit what you actually need to do is have it so it curves round and then

Curves back up more importantly so i’m actually gonna do that and i’ve already wasted so much time explaining that i’m not gonna have time to finish maybe i could do maybe i could just do half or something so okay i’m gonna i’m gonna do this

Uh i’m gonna fill in the hull of the the ship just as quickly as possible now if i was doing this um properly i suppose i would uh be a little bit more specific and i’ll probably use welded to be honest with you because uh

I would like do half and then split it because a boat is symmetrical i could actually do a boat tutorial this isn’t too bad um so yeah i’m doing a classic mistake of anyone that makes a boat um a boat needs to come out wide and then

Up but i’ve i’ve just gone straight for a v shape boats don’t do that not really they have like a u-shape rather than a v-shape so that’s gonna have to do for that one um i’m not gonna have time to finish the other side which really sucks for me

Um so i’m just gonna have to try and do it the uh the old-fashioned way of like doing half and then hoping people understand but i doubt they will um so got like a little bit of a ship here it’s fairly awful right now i don’t expect to win this one

Um so i could actually do a quick mast so it actually goes up real high and then it has like a little one and then a big one i’m not gonna have time to do the other half oh i messed up that one okay so i don’t really know if i’m getting this

Right on both sides i could try and get this i’ll have to try it because otherwise it will just be unfinished and that’s not cool i’m just not going to make sure that it’s symmetrical because i know that triggers a lot of people like you messed up and it’s not symmetrical

Um but like in these situations where you’ve got barely five minutes to do something it’s not the end of the world so hopefully people spawn in on that side and they won’t see that i finished only half of the hull um so i’m gonna do pirate ship real quick come on

I feel like limited my brain’s working faster than my clicking fingers so i know exactly what i want to do but my my hand just can’t keep up with what i need to do um so i guess i’ve got a minute left so i need to get white wall

And black wool so black is first so i’m gonna go around this side and just do really quickly and really badly do some quicker some sales oh boy this is this is really triggering me all right here we go um i guess that’ll have to do oh my god one minute one minute

Okay here we go here we go here we go um so yeah that’ll have to do again um my hand hurts my hand has a good cramp in my hand little boy uh next i’m gonna have to do like uh some cross like white cross like that okay so

I need quickly quickly quickly i’ve only got 30 seconds uh not like that oh boy no all right so what we have to do really quickly i want that uh to come around what it’s called but it’s like the thing up here so yeah nailed it 10 seconds to get rid of this

Had that thing on the top oh i’ve reached the plot side and okay that left to two that’ll have to do oh boy oh no i spent so long making that’s really good i’m gonna have to give that a good they’re like they made pirate pixel people i really like that that’s cool

Pixel paint uh pixel uh i think is a bit rubbish to do in this one um that’s that’s better than the last one i’m gonna have to go epic on that one that’s really nice that’s a cool pirate they’ve obviously done this one before everyone’s gone for people i

Kind of feel silly now i’m trying to work on that that’s okay it’s not as good as the last one it looks like a white pepe the frog let’s have a look see most people went for pixel like it’s so easy to do a pixel person i’m gonna

Have to give it i actually have to give that good as it is a pirate most people go for like these uh pixel arty kind of things are now people’s okay so yeah come around this side everyone come around this side so i made i made a pirate ship everyone

Please love me and my pirate ship oh it’s so awful oh this guy did the same thing oh yeah i’m gonna have to give him good i mean he didn’t finish but he did he did what i did actually i don’t know he really hasn’t finished and it’s not great i’m

Gonna go okay okay let’s have a look uh this one’s definitely better i feel okay i feel a lot better now i i feel better because i could give that guy okay this guy definitely gets good because he finished and it actually looks pretty good so you have to go okay

Okay i came third yeah this guy definitely won that was really good of him i wasn’t too far off i got 34. so yeah that was really nice i did vote epic on this one it was really good okay so i think that’s enough rounds for today uh thank you very much for

Watching a lot of people have said like oh i do like your build battle and i have to apologize for anyone that got upset over the last few episodes something did happen with those episodes uh the one where everyone said that um i was being extraordinarily harsh what

Happened was the audio and the footage became out of sync so someone that had a really bad cannon actually probably had a good cannon but my audio was judging the one before so it wouldn’t have matched up properly but anyway that’s my fault and i was still harsh so i do

Apologize i’m not really that harsh um i guess i’d been playing a long time by that point i’ve been like doing i’ve been recording it for four hours i think and so i probably came across really badly so i hope you can forgive me for that and i hope you’ve enjoyed this
