Hardcore House Series: Time Off Survival

Don’t even think I’m going to be uh streaming very late tonight just going to turn the music down just a little bit as always and let’s go ahead let’s hop into the game so here we are in the hardcore series again uh last stream we started working on the

House which is just above us sorry I’m just trying to do some things off screen yeah like I said uh don’t worry about like staying too long or anything like that it’s probably going to be a shorter stream uh I wanted to work on the house just a little bit get your guys’s

Opinion on a couple things I didn’t do any work to this uh somebody said who was it who was it that told me to do do work off camera last time maybe it was Mac I can’t remember uh I didn’t do that I did not do that uh but there’s some things

That I need to do uh before I continue working on this so the first thing I want to do is I want to get the rest of the materials like the main materials that we’re working with um and then we will try to fill in the walls as best as we can and

We’ll try to do the detail saing uh shortly after uh yeah but how you guys doing on this Wednesday night the Wednesday night live stream night not a whole lot going on in here the cherry plant I’m I’m going to I’m going to put the cherry on hold for now

I’m probably going to have to go do some Mining and stuff yeah let’s maybe go do that I’m going to go take this bed and I should be okay I’m going to go ahead in the cave I think and I’m just going to start digging up some of the uh what is this

Diorite yes like I said I I can never remember diorite and andesite I can never remember both uh which one’s which never ever can I ever remember them uh the Sun is going down which is okay because we’re going underground that’s what I said last time

With last time I’m trying to get the resources worked out um it’s like a creative challenge trying to uh work with blocks that I don’t typically work with and like dior’s one of them for sure and the granite to the Granite roof what I was thinking about

The granite roof was maybe even mixing some bricks in there too I think that could be kind of cool I was thinking about that uh shortly after the stream last last week So the plan is to do a little bit more work today to the house but first we need to get some

Resources I have a new video going out uh Friday the new video is done I still have to finish the thumbnail I did one version of the thumbnail and it’s not exactly what I want it to be yet so I think I’m going to uh kind of redo

It I need to take a new picture for the thumbnail and uh yeah but pretty much like the layout of the thumbnail is there I just need to like redo a couple things but it’s uh yeah I I’m super excited about that series The 1.8 series

Super excited about it I hope you guys guys are enjoying it well it’s only one episode in but I hope you guys are enjoying it so far and continue to enjoy it all right so I don’t want to go caving too deep if I could just stay in this small

Is that feature available right now HP I think I heard about That so the only the only way I feel like I would try that now is putting out a thumbnail with a number and then putting out a thumbnail without a number that’s the only way I feel like I’d want to try it because at least for this thumbnail that I’m working on in

Particular there’s only like one well I I guess there’s a couple other different pictures I could try you know like background pictures should put in should put some thought into that oh it’s not out right now that’s going to be very exciting to see yeah I’ll I’ll definitely try

And the copper roofs are actually pretty nice if I do say so myself so I think I’d like to try that some point I’m already trying to get like ideas of like Aesthetics and stuff like that for my season 2 world that I’ll be doing for Minecraft single

Player I don’t even know if I’m going to call that series uh season 2 I might just call it like you know that might be like let’s play Minecraft or playing Minecraft or Drew plays Minecraft or something like that it might not necessarily be called season

2 uh so let’s do that let’s keep this iron on us just in case yeah I’ve been thinking the same thing hap so for example with the new series that I just did or that I just started the 1.8 series um I thought it was important to

Have a for to have episode one because when you watch series and stuff like that like episode one seems to be the most popular episode of any Series right so having an episode one on it is so like welcoming to new viewers and obviously it’s something like I think a lot of

People see that and they think it’s a good opportunity to start watching but after that episode one if you just stop numbering thumbnails I wonder if it would be too confusing wonder if it’d be too confusing for people like for the people that watched it and enjoyed it they’re

Probably expecting to see the next one saying episode 2 but if I just upload it with no number do you think that would confuse the people that watched episode one yeah I agree hap I think it is important too these are conversations we need to have with decisive obviously he’s like a

Now so my fourth stream and I’ve talked about before when I started the series that my goal was to um collect all of the uh the armor trim templates and stuff like that now I I’ve accept it like it’s probably that’s probably not very realistic and I think

In the meantime I might as well like enjoy the world and and um you know just you know build myself up and build cool things and nice things with you guys but I think also so uh when the time is right we should go out and try to start

Collecting them and hypothetically if we ever do collect them all then we’ll end the series aha but of course that’s assuming that we don’t die which is probably a lot more likely how we’re going to die well we’ll find out I could die from a creeper right now you never

Know um but I’m getting this uh Granite here cuz the granite we’re using for the roof of the house as you can probably tell in the thumbnail uh but I need more torches I don’t have is there any coal in here I don’t see any coal like

Everything on Twitter I try to communicate as best as I can but like it doesn’t do any for the people on YouTube like I want it to so I think like what whatever it is like at 500 subscribers maybe or maybe you have to be monetized no you don’t have to be

Monetized cuz I don’t I don’t is decisive monetized yet on his second Channel but he’s got the community posts so I’m wondering um yeah I’m wondering if I can expect it kind of soon uh that’s assuming that my Channel’s like going to grow you know what I mean but I see you guys

Chatting but yeah like I said we’re just going to gather some resources we’re going to go back up to the house and we’re going to see what else we can do to it so I’m going to try to fill in the walls first and I will put the roof over

And then we’ll work on the detailing so once we kind of get the shape and we kind of start to see like the general um we kind of start to see the house and more of like a complete state is what I’m trying to say and I was thinking about adding

Bricks too to the roof I thought I thought that could look kind of cool oh ha I love the Rebrand by the way love love love the Rebrand I’m looking at my chat now and that yellow is popping love it all right so how much do I have on me

World I’ve ever had too I’ve always been like against hardcore worlds and I wondered if I should ever do like a hardcore series and then it hit me I was like I will do a hardcore series but I’ll live stream it that way it’s you know a lot

More it’s a lot more believable that I’m actually playing hardcore cuz pretty much I I pretty much place like every block in this world on on stream pretty Much all right so we’re back here at the house it’s not much yet this is the Neapolitan house and and let’s go ahead and make some polished stairs and make some regular stairs and make some more polish stairs uh like this uh-huh we’ll make some more like

That there we go and okay so that’s going to be that but we should probably take care of the roof first let’s place our bed down too and yeah let’s make some Polish cuz we’re kind of mixing the polished and the the regular diate with each Other so let’s build this up just trying to be a little bit random with it is that how high we want to go I guess something like This oops oh that’s a little too high actually so how so like this okay and I’m going to have to sleep again I would love to play phasmophobia again is that what you guys are talking About phasmophobia is a game I can only play with friends for some reason reason I just cannot play it by myself I I can’t I just I whatever I’m weird like that but I remember playing one time with half we were playing on the the campground level

Tall oh I don’t know if I want yeah we’ll see it’s just going to be a big Roof oh zingi how you doing zingi okay so you can’t even see much here then you move over the trees I got to get rid of the trees you still can’t

Really see much but you can see that the roof is going in right um okay I kind of have an idea now of what we could do I just want to see what it’s looking like over here to see how practical it’s going to be um yeah okay I have an idea

So I’m I’m going to need so much Granite holy cow I didn’t realize how much Granite I’m going to have to get but that should be it’s going to go in like that right and I need dirt oh I do have dirt yes oh I can’t do that let’s go ahead and do This and see if this meets up like it should oh just like that okay so I think we will do this for the roof and then I think maybe oh gosh how are we going to do this cuz I was almost thinking having this part of the roof come up like this

Right so something like that so say these these two points meet in this middle here right and then we could like kind of like diagonally connect this part and this part and then this part would have to blend at some point too but I don’t know how but that’s kind of what I’m

Thinking now so if we move this over it would just connect like this and then let’s try to give it like maybe a bit of a bigger overhang so that overhangs two blocks so maybe this should overhang two blocks too right or maybe well yeah let’s try this for now but

Like I said I’m definitely going to need some more Granite yeah cuz I’m already almost out of stairs I think uh but yeah so I think this is the style that we’ll probably go with here just like that and oh what will this look like it’s going to meet with a solid

Block so we will have to do I think something like this so this will have to go kind of like this right so I think this is the general shape does this make sense to you guys I would love for half to join Quest I almost said the whole

Name I I haven’t I haven’t talked about it yet on my channel I I don’t know like we haven’t been public about the new server yet um but yeah I mean we we could probably talk about it I was actually going to make a video about it here soon too uh I

As well because basically I think when this new SMP starts s um it’s going to like cornerstone’s going to have to be put on the back burner unless like something big and juicy comes up on Cornerstone and we got to do something together and get a video out but my goal

And and this is this is pretty crazy this is pretty ambitious so just hear me out but my goal is to do one episode a week of Minecraft 1.8 and then also do an like a uh another episode a week uh of the the smpp so I would have

Two weekly videos one single player one SMP plus a live stream I don’t know how realistic that is I don’t think I could really I don’t think I could really do it uh but it’s worth a shot because my editing is a lot quicker now with how uh

My videos work so basically my videos work now is I record like 40 minutes straight of footage and then I edit it down to about 20 minutes um and I can I do the the 40 minutes of footage and like one sitting I remember like it’s

Funny because I brought that up or I bring this up now because um it’s it I mentioned it’s funny because hap and I were talking about this like I think a year or two ago we were talking about how we make videos and at the time hap

Said that he could only record a video or he had to record a video in like one sitting like what one session like he had to sit down and then by the time he got up the whole video had to be recorded and I was the total opposite I

Mean I started out that way but then I started leaning into making my videos like okay like today I’ll put in you know today I’ll sit down and off camera I’ll do an hour’s worth of work and then tomorrow I’ll go back and then I’ll record an update of what I did during

That hour and then I’ll stop and then I’ll finish the project and then I’ll come back like the next day after that and then whatever whatever so ultimately it took me if I was consistent it would probably take me about a week or two just to get a video

Fully record it and that’s bad that’s really bad and then another week of editing the video so um now I just do it a lot more simple um and the way I kind of look at it too is like there’s kind of like three traits when making uh when making videos

Okay so this part here oh I think I want to do this okay no that’s so that block was right so we’ll do something I think like this oops um but yeah I was saying I think when making videos there’s often Um does this look okay let’s see if this looks okay I think there’s like three three traits to making a video or like that a video can consist of so it’s like consistency uh quality and productivity and it’s like I I don’t think you can really have all

Three you know what I mean it’s like you can be consistent and the video can be good quality like consistent at getting videos out and the video quality is good and like you know your your presentation in the video is good um and your editing

Is good but you’re not going to get as much done in a video so you’re you’re uh you know you’re not going to get as much done you’re PR oh I can’t even talk anymore I’m losing my I’m losing my words uh or you could be very productive

In a video and consistent but your editing and your quality is just going to go completely down the drain so you know what I mean yeah the triangle of Truth productivity that’s the word I was trying to say earlier I was going to man I’m losing my

Mind I’m actually losing my mind right now all right so I think I have that shovel on me there we go I think in the meantime I’m probably going to go into the ocean here and see what I can dig up for some clay clay is pretty common in

Minecraft I feel like back in the day it wasn’t as common I don’t know I’m probably going to need a lot of clay if I’m going to mix in a ton of bricks for the uh for the roof but yeah how I make my videos now I

Think it’s going to be a lot more um um sustainable so that’s why I’m wondering I’m wondering if it is possible that I can do one SMP video a week one sing sing player video a week plus uh live streaming once a week cuz the live stream I feel like I could go

For maybe an hour minimum and then go for as long as I want I think the longest live stream I’ve done was maybe over two hours maybe close to 3 hours I’m not too sure uh it’s definitely not going to be one of those live streams tonight I think the building live

Streams are probably going to tend to be a little bit shorter uh let’s go yeah let’s go uh smelt the this uh clay all right let’s go down here oh I had glass nice nice nice nice nice nice nice all right yeah zingi I know what you mean

And I I was kind of thinking the same for like my channel as well so like that’s what I like um that’s kind of like if you want to be consistent you got to make some sacrifices to your videos right But yeah prioritize consistency I think I think too the algorithm is it can be I mean it can be it it I guess it was good like not too long ago but it seems like it’s back to being like fairly harsh so while that’s smelting um I wonder if I do you think

Like I would have a video uh one video coming out Friday and Sunday and then Wednesdays would be the live stream live stream Wednesday and then single player on Friday and then the new SMP on Sundays I’m going to I’m going to try I’m going to try and if it’s just not

Sustainable then I’ll I’ll I’ll I’ll kind of give up on that and then I’ll do I think the S SMP would be at least at least bi-weekly and there’s a kind of of a particular reason why so that’s all that’s all yeah it’s a big challenge it’s a big challenge YouTube

Is a is a is a hard game for people doing it part-time and just as a hobby the Channel’s hobby a hobby first I’ve always told myself it’s a hobby but I take it fairly serious for a hobby you know what I mean oh my gosh that freaked me

Out guys I actually jumped holy cow man that ey jumped like you didn’t you can’t see me in real life but man holy cow that that scared me yeah burning out is is really important to avoid I don’t know if I’ve ever really been burnt burnt out on my

Channel um I don’t want to say bored and I don’t want to say like lazy or anything like that it was just I think I I think I just for what I wanted my videos to be I think I just got too intimidated to to work on them all the

Time you know cuz I cuz you know it’s like I I’ve even seen Mumbo I’ve seen Mumbo tweet on Twitter saying that he had to really kind of like burn it into mind to not try to prioritize making each uh video better than the last you know what I mean like

It’s not a healthy mindset believing that every video like the next video that you release has to top the last video and um it was just crazy cuz someone like Mumbo that literally has like tens of millions subscribers like even he had to learn that lesson right and it seemed like he

Had to learn it fair fairly late into the game but we’ve talked about it like I mean uh I’ve talked about it on on I think on live stream before too but like I I think of all the YouTubers that I like to watch and I really don’t care what they

Do in a video like I could be watching like my two favorite guys are like BDubs and Etho right or I even like Waddles too and and Waddles does a lot less work than like the hermac craft guys but it doesn’t matter I really don’t care what

Any of those guys do in a video I just want to watch a video I just want to eat my eat my breakfast watching Etho or eat eat supper watching BDubs or something like that you know cuz it doesn’t matter what they do it’s just I want to hang

Out with them right it’s just it’s comforting so yeah small YouTubers man like like small YouTubers can capture that right it’s hardcore don’t die but yeah that that being said so the reason why I brought up the whole Mumbo thing too uh was because I had that

Mindset at one point where I you know cuz I would release a video where I got so much work and it’s like okay well now I’ve set the bar of what my videos have to be and that’s so not true and so I think that’s what kind of kept me away

From doing some videos was it was like you know I don’t feel like working on the big projects right now and if I don’t work on the big projects then I can’t I can’t it’s not going to be worthy to do a video you know what’s the

Point of doing a video if I’m not going to do a big project like I did my last episode so you know what I mean there’s no rules there’s no rules and we’re making up we’re making up imaginary rules so we’re making up rules that no one really cares About yeah I I yeah I know exactly what you mean zingi well said very well Said yeah exactly and if you’re less stressed too and you know you’re more comfortable and you’re being the real you and stuff like that people are going to people will enjoy that a lot more I think a lot more you know for example like I I know

For sure like I can’t even really live stream too late tonight so it’s not like you know if if I told myself I had to live stream 3 hours tonight I’d probably be stressed and probably be a little bit grumpy but you know I told myself I I’ll

Subscribers this year if I was just like consistent like one or two videos is a week every week for the entire year just to see if there’s traction if anything catches on in a perfect world like my goal would be to like hit 1,000 subscribers but with how the algorithm

Has been I don’t know how practical that’s going to be decisive will do it no problem decisive will get to a th on the second Channel I have no doubt about that um but yeah so should that just stick out like this maybe like that I think that’s okay
