Hermitcraft 9: Artifact Explorations! (Ep. 78)

Well ladies and gentlemen it’s now day four of Axolotl breeding we are currently sitting at 1020 Axolotl slime so you can see right up here and that means that there’s 1020 plus these 50 or so X levels mean that we’re closing in rapidly on that 1 200 number uh that is

You know the odds the average odds of getting a Axolotl so I’m hoping fingers crossed legs crossed eyes crossed everything crossed that luck is on our side and very soon we will get the blue Axolotl the mythical blue Axolotl it’s Times Like These when you start to

Question if such a creature exists but we know it does we have to keep the faith we have to keep the breeding up for all these axolotls so that’s what we’re planning to do kind of look around every time we breed them see if we got the blue one but this

We’re gonna do is we’re gonna go ahead and just grab a water bucket we’re gonna pick it up and we’re gonna make sure to secure it in our artifacts chest right over here bada boom there we go uh so that way yeah we can have it and make sure we got

It so I’ve already checked off the blue Axolotl here in our book of mobs that we’re looking to get uh so as you can see the full first page is done why is there a random e in front of there uh but yeah the whole first page is done

In the second page we got to get the sniffer which means we gotta go look for uh some sniffer eggs somewhere we gotta get a camel which means we gotta ride a camel back from a far away land we need a charge creeper which I believe doc has

Some or we could just make it ourselves they’re not really too hard to get just put a creeper like in a boat next to a lightning rod basically and it basically will get you one and then we need to get gray and sun it feels great to have the blue axolotl

From all that Axolotl breeding we did man oh man that was a lot so I’m gonna clean this up I’m gonna let a few of the axolotls go into the wild uh and then I think we can give Cleo back her land finally because this is technically her

Land as you can see uh she has like some pillars here supporting her he’s part of her Museum so yeah we’ll clean this up and then we’ll go and uh maybe look for the sniffer egg that would be fun so guys I’ve decided to set the axolotls free in

The hermit sippy River because there are a lot of drowns here they could help out with this a little bit uh so we’re gonna put down a few of these one two three four we’re gonna try and take on some of these drowns hopefully not perish yeah

There we go healing power of friendship baby let’s go achievement gotten can help out with that and these axolotls will roam these Seas free he’s going to regen some health here he’s stunned uh but yeah they’re gonna roam free in the hermit sippy River and also they’re gonna take out some

Fish here apparently too so that’s pretty cool we’ll let those guys be free we also by the way got a bucket of Axolotl somewhere in here yes right here so if we ever need a bunch of axolotls for any reason we got plenty of extras in here

From this point on we decided to go ahead and explore Minecraft 120 the trails and Tails update because as you know our goal here is to get all the pottery shards and all the smithing templates for the museum so that means we have to do a lot of exploring and a

Lot of archeology work so you can see here I’m actually about ready to go down into a cold ocean ruins area after dispatching a couple of ground here which yeah showed up at the uh the worst time but it’s a big area so let’s explore this and do more exploring

Generally all right let’s see what we get here hopefully some pottery shards yes very good see what we got we got the Explorer Pottery Shard very good I think we got two of those already so that’s the third one very nice very nice all right we’ll grab that move on to the

Next one can we get lucky again what do we got here we can actually get lucky again wow okay Super Lucky another Explorer Shard okay back to back Explorer shards very good so that’s four certainly not a third time in a row right okay this is not Pottery sharp but

It is an emerald so that’s not bad another Pottery Shard are you serious all right that is the blade Pottery Shard very good I think we got multiple of those now four of those very good very good very good and another one dude actually High rolling this

That is the Explorer another Explorer so that gives us five explorers very good Okay so we’ve now gotten what I think is most all of the suspicious gravel in this uh ruins area here I’m just gonna go around and double check again but we got a lot of good

Stuff so check it out if we put down our box we got a couple more mourner shards so we got now three of those some more plenty shards another Explorer Shard and a blade Shard so we just need like a couple more mortar shards and I think

We’ll have all four from the uh cold ocean Pottery shards so that’s fantastic and the reason we want four is because we can make uh let me just show you here we can make a we can make a full full pot decorated pot like this with the Explorer Shard there we go bam

Right there uh plus we can have one left over to put in like an item frame to show what it looks like in item form so that’s awesome we’ll take this decorated pot with us here don’t really need this Cobblestone uh so yeah fantastic uh I think we’re basically done with this

Cold ocean uh area nearby to these ruins we also see an ocean Monument so I think it might be good we’ll set our spawn somewhere on the coast here and then we can basically roll over and try to get the tide armor from an Elder Guardian so we’ll quickly

Set our spawn right here just in case I’m also going to get out a chest plate so that way we can be a little bit more prepared we got some water breathing we got some night vision so I think we are ready to rock we’ll throw in half our food and then we

Are set to go so let’s go ahead and fly on over here pretty quickly yeah be uh hit with hit with mining fatigue that’s okay though there’s our sponge room that’s cool we need some extra sponges we can come here uh let’s see up here maybe

Here okay one of the Guardians will be here yep all right let’s boost away howdy boys almost dead almost dead okay I think we got him did he drop tide armor I don’t think he did no I should probably also put on my chest plate all right no tide armor from those first

Elder Guardians just got a sponge and some prismarine and the head uh so we’re gonna go around the back here look for the next one boost on down here past the main room this definitely helps to boost around a lot quicker I think this should go all

The way around because a lot of these are pretty much the same so Elder guarding should be here or maybe not okay so that means that it’s probably up yep right here bam what up dude where are you going where are you going I thought you was bad I thought you was

Bad I guess not bro I guess not all right there we go and and nothing dang it okay so once again no oh what nope we got it tight armor trim tight armor trim very nice all right cool this is one of the cooler looking ones I think it almost uh

The pattern looks almost like the uh prismarine block type pattern here with the sort of like branching off of the uh Central like line here so that’s super awesome so tight armor trim acquired uh we can now I think get out of here we’re actually still under mining fatigue though so

Should probably just go on down and then head on out hopefully our Riptide Trident takes us away yeah there we go baby let’s go back to the side excuse me somehow I also picked up the cover fish but way back baby a little bit further on I found a gigantic mountain range with

Huge towering Peaks and whenever that happens you should be thinking one thing yeah this is a pretty big mountain range so I’m gonna dig underneath here in this direction see if maybe there could be an ancient city that lies underground here so I think what I’ll do is I’ll just run down this

Way see how far this goes see if this opens up in any way so I think this is good I think we’ll dig down here and see if there’s an ancient city or maybe we could also find a deep slate Emerald if we’re really lucky I think we’re in snowy slopes yeah

We’re in snowy slopes right here so who knows what we’ll find well I think we know somewhat of what we might find because there is a skulk sensor here all the way up at 33. I don’t know how but that’s promising if we’re hoping to find an ancient city

Okay very promising deep dark oh that’s good only question is will there be an ancient city so that’s good uh okay I guess okay there’s a catalyst there we should probably just keep going down and see what happens okay Bingo baby oh yeah we are so good dude

So good didn’t even have to look it up just now all right ancient city time baby let’s do it let’s do it got some crazy stuff here let’s come over this way I block this off I think this is the only one this way hopefully okay piercing sharpness coal enchanting

We’ll take the leads and I guess the coal as well perfect let’s come over here same deal okay we’ll take some shards we’ll take the echo shards take the books uh do we need the Swift sneak do we yeah we’ll take it we’ll take it

All right what else we got what else we got not gonna lie this looks kind of rough here I’m not sure if there’s actually a way you can get past this part because this is right next to this so I’m just gonna open it okay this looks fairly safe

Famous Last Words let’s put stuff down there Swift sneak 3 will take some books we’ll take we don’t need the blueberries we got plenty of those so on to the next one another chest hopefully this is the one nope also Warden coming we gotta move there he is yep we definitely Gotta Move

All right we’re risking this dang it oh boy oh boy I don’t know if this is close enough to get these or yeah it probably is oh that one’s bad oh that one is so bad this is not good guys okay one warden’s gone all right I’m gonna do this

Hope for the best got it Ward armor trim shoot I’m out okay we’re just gonna slowly avoid this guy and get away with our Ward armor trim that’s really good that’s a five percent chance to get this so that’s fantastic as long as we can survive this Warden

Encounter which I think we’re far enough away can’t sniff us I hope still looking for that silence armor trim now so we gotta keep tracking chests all right Ward armor trim fifth armor trim very good we also got some Notch apples some skeleton skulls things are looking good for us

Things are looking good after we left the ancient city I decided we needed to find a sniffer egg because that’s something I still have not found yet and it’s on our list so we need to find a warm ocean and in particular warm ocean ruins to explore

Aha there is indeed a warm ocean biome here though which is really good because this is where we could potentially find some sniffers assuming that people have not been here yet before let’s take a look around see what we see obviously a couple of round we got to

Take care of I see some suspicious sand that is great let’s take these guys out and see what we can find in these areas all right let’s see what we got suspicious sand looks like a pottery shard this will be a one that’s unique to the warm ruins so shelter Pottery Shard

That’s pretty good I don’t think I have that one yet that is a gold nugget okay kind of worthless but that’s fine what we got here we got coal another one down here though that’s wheat don’t really care for wheat that much Golden Nugget I don’t want golden nuggets let’s try this

Come on baby come on baby come on baby another Golden Nugget two golden nuggets in a row come on something good that is cool that is cool okay this time okay here we go Pottery Shard that’s what I’m talking about another one we don’t have snort okay

One time sniffer nope Pottery Shard okay we got another shelter another Emerald man no sniffer egg we’ve been blanked on the sniffer egg so far all right all right that is like a wheat or something hey there we go let’s go sniffer sniffer sniffer sniffer smells interesting yes indeed ladies and

Gentlemen we have acquired the sniffer egg oh yeah that is what I’m talking about I’m looking to clear out the rest of this thing as well we’ll take a look and see what we got in here see if we got anything interesting see if we got any other Pottery shards

Around the area I’m sure there’s bound to be some in this suspicious sand but that is the number one thing we were looking for so I’m very happy about that all right so let’s secure our stuff we got some more Pottery shards uh which yeah we have enough shelter now and we

Have a second snort that’s fantastic plus the sniffer egg that’s beautiful love to see that we got two tridents somehow not really sure how but we did and yeah that is a pretty good haul right there uh I think we gotta go restock on our potions we’re out of uh

Water breathing we’re out of night vision as well night vision is like the main one especially like underwater you want to be able to like see properly so gotta go get some more of those so I’m gonna do that and then we’re gonna keep on exploring I think

Aha Outpost in a Cherry Grove biome next to a mountain bomb over there apparently let’s check this out check for the Sentry armor trim did we get lucky no we do not get lucky dang it yeah there’s nothing there of use anyways we keep going at this point I had restocked on potions

And was flying around looking for a newly generated desert biome to look for Desert Wells and desert temples and I happened to come across another portal that was actually completable we had one obsidian and there was a uh fire charge in the chest here which I could use to

Light the portal so I figured why not take this opportunity to jump randomly into The Nether hopefully find some new terrain and explore a Bastion and a fortress because we need I believe three armor templates from the nether of which we have zero so far so I hopped through

The portal and this is where it took me all right so now that we’re in the nether I think it’s probably best that we go ahead and try and search for a fortress or a Bastion given that we’re kind of way out here uh and speaking of bastions okay

Okay game I see you this looks like it’s potentially treasure Bastion 2 which is fantastic because that would actually give us uh the ability to get nether right let’s see if that is the case I think it actually is this could potentially be amazing uh let’s get some stuff out here

Okay got to be very careful because there are going to be brutes here as well as just regular piglens yeah this is treasure okay so assuming somebody hasn’t been here yet which they might have been but I doubt it 2 000 blocks out and another uh we should keyword there should

Be able to get some netherrite upgrades down below here let’s just swoop on down okay I see some brutes let’s make sure we got oh baby there’s some boots there holy you know what I’m firing gonna see how things go for us up here Oh they’re all coming they all coming all right all right let’s get back here safe distance away oh okay not a safe distance away oh that’s bad that’s bad oh that’s very bad you know those times in life where you know instantly that you messed up beyond all repair

This was not one of those times because luckily I had the coordinates of the portal because I had written them down as soon as I went into the nether which ended up basically being a thing that saved Our Lives because uh we could then just multiply this by eight obviously

This portal is pretty prominent on a hill so we were able to get back to the portal go back through and then just destroy the brutes after all whenever I die in Minecraft I always get super salty and then just go on a war path that that’s basically My Method so we

Got everything back no problem you can see we sniped out uh some brutes and then yeah we got all of our stuff back in here uh which yeah was kind of useful because that’s not the right stuff uh so with that yeah we were actually able to

Head back down and continue our assault through the treasure Bastion somewhere there it is there we go brutes down very good she’s gonna kill all these piglens because we’re not gonna really need these guys around here anywhere all right we made it down here got all the brutes flying around here I think

Except for that guy who’s chilling I hit his foot oh I got him look at him burning step forward guy I dare you he’s got to be close to death anyway that’s the only guy besides uh some piglens so I’m gonna start harvesting some gold here

Just like this fall into lava and so in here get this gold yeah we should have a smithing upgrade very good very good all right hey that’s what I was looking for the snout armor trim and a piece of debris very good we’ll take it also take these nuggets don’t need that

Ax I’m gonna look around a little bit more though but yeah that’s fantastic all right so from this Bastion we got ourselves our next template snout armor trim very good liking it also got the pig step I’m gonna put that in there so fantastic trip and let’s break this put it away

And let’s see if we can find another Fortress around here all right guys we found a new Fortress this one looks to be a lot nicer than the other ones in that it has a lot more covered section like covered hallways so we look in here for some stuff uh

Let’s just go ahead and do like this and see if we can spot any of the rib armor trims in these chests here see a weather skeleton down there I thought I saw one of those it was a little bit weird looking but yeah okay so here’s the dividing line very good

Anything no all right don’t really need that to be honest let’s go down here ‘s some Blaze oh there we go okay fantastic rib armor trim acquired let’s go down here some more gold fantastic that is beautiful that’s exactly what we wanted to see so we also visited another

Bastion and got two more smithing templates another right upgrades so let’s just put these away in here so that is another one of those and two more of those I’ll put some of this other rare stuff that we got in here although we’ve now found all of the templates in the nether

So I say we grab this obsidian place it down here go up by three up another one and there and let’s get the heck out of here to the Overworld we’re gonna look for some camels we got jungle Mesa Savannah so there’s bound to be desert nearby

I’m wondering is this desert over here yes desert well fantastic desert village even better that could mean camels let’s first stop off here see if we see any ah suspicious sand yes indeed we do all right let’s get our exploration box brush out get our shovel out swap these out all right so

Big money big money big money big money big money it’s a stick it’s literally a stick okay okay luckily we got a second chance it looks like right here maybe a pottery shard another stick back to back sticks can you believe it okay so that’s no good and we’re out of sand

Here all right that was unfortunate back to back sticks at the desert well I don’t think there’s any suspicious sand around this unfortunately so I have to look for another Well somewhere nearby so let’s head on over to the Village hopefully we got some camels here maybe these places usually got camels

Did we find the one Village without oh nope camel camel let’s go there it is the desert camel let’s see if we can grab the saddle saddle on it there we go very good uh right and let’s check and see if we can’t find I thought I saw

The main building yeah right here blacksmith anything good nothing nothing good at all are you seeing what I’m seeing because I’m seeing a village that is integrated unbelievably well with the desert temple that’s right you see this this is desert temple here which means that somewhere like in here we Dig Down

Yeah I think this will lead us into the temple this is crazy actually insane legit insane there’s another one okay this is madness man this is like part of the village here this is like Village pathway area we gotta be careful of this here let’s fly down

Get rid of this TNT down here okay that’s secured now all right we do need Dune armor no Dune armor what is this all right fine geez we’ll settle for the enchanted golden apple dang it all right so unfortunately no Dune armor from down there but we do have the chance to find

Some suspicious sand in here and get some more types of pottery shards so that’s cool just dig this first layer out I think it’s probably best to go with layers here just so we don’t accidentally dig from the top down you know so we’ll just do like this and then hopefully something good

Gunpowder it’s not it it’s not what we want to see okay and I think what we should probably do is anything we don’t like we get out our cobwebs these guys And We Gather the suspicious sand if it doesn’t have a pottery shard in it so brush that is a pottery Shard fantastic

It is the prize part of pottery Shard all right I don’t think we got that one let’s see let’s see smithing template where’s the shards at here it is shards no okay so that is the I think that’s the fourth one we need from this Temple so that’s huge

That is a diamond so I actually will get that see what this one is this one is I don’t even know what that what is that oh it’s going powder it’s gone powder okay so we’re gonna basically recover this one so like that that’ll help us to recover that very good

All right so we got one Pottery piece and we got three suspicious sand plus some diamonds and stuff so not too bad of a hole from that guy I’m gonna box all this stuff up uh let’s just put it in this one here like so so that was definitely

Unexpected and yeah I’m glad we found that because yeah that got us another new Pottery Shard so that’s awesome uh and yeah it was right here in this Village uh right where we found the camel which is actually I think under here or it was where’d it go to it’s somewhere around here

It can’t have gone far right certainly not check this out check the whole village no camel right we found the desert temple underneath right here but then I see camel all the way out here what is bro doing out in the desert you crazy bro you crazy so ladies and
