Hermitcraft 9: Shop EXPANSION and Games! | Episode 39

Time to address the ever increasing garbage piles that are happening on the server but first it looks like I’ve won some to believe of some kind in exchange for the uh the item that we left they’ve taken the item and they’ve given us a bag of whatever doubloons are

Fascinating and it seems we also have another wonderful shulker box that has appeared which has a bunch of concrete in it and that is simply because if we just zip through here real quick impulse is taken down I prank already although I still do see some teeth at the entrance

Here has he forgotten about this one either he’s forgotten about it or he’s chosen to leave that there and I’m not sure at this point in time and as I can also see too gem has taken off the face from the front of her base but has left

A cute little Pearl sitting in the tree impulses left his Pearl there too so I wonder if they’re both you to stay for at least a little bit longer seeing as the rest of it is being taken down though I wonder if these pranks will continue we will find out I suppose the

Ball is in their court if they do decide to anyway we have trash to attend to more about this later the bins all around the server are overflowing and twinkly trash just does not have the current capacity oh well user experience for that particular section to work with full potential so

If we want to offer the service on the server we also need to expand the business originally I was thinking of expanding to the back but it does look like XP has marked out an expansion of his own back here so we’ll be expanding out to the right today instead I gotta

Say I’m definitely excited to see what XP builds though it’s always really cool to see new things happening in the shopping district so as you can see I’ve already started clearing out the area to the right of our wonderful twinkly trash over there and I’ve also began a little

Bit of a dig for a brand new build Edition in that spot right there this particular hole is going to hold all the Redstone for a brand new auto sorting system because let’s be honest one cleaning lady just can’t keep sorting all of the influx of trash that’s been

Happening on the server but the main goal today is at least just to get some housing going for all the trash with a nice exterior so while we don’t have the Redstone this is where all of the collected resources from the bins will go and what is already here is all the

Junk that I had my in the chest from the bins in the past I gotta tell you it was very nice to clear that out finally speaking of bin collection let’s see just how much has been accumulating all around the server in these garbage bins the number one is this run right here

Hello hello nice and close to twinkly trash and looks like we have plenty in here too of course we saw that in the past but uh let’s just kind of collect all that up and then pop on to the next one the pile grows popping over to this

One next to I buy let’s see what we got in here we have one trash bag 308 liter trash bag another 208 liter trash bag and some chicken and Phantom membrane okay but not too much there beautiful now for scars which oh my gosh has uh

Quite clearly taken a mind of its own because now the garbage bags are on top of the garbage bin now oh dear okay well let’s just pick all this up even just picking up these is just oh so satisfying nice and clean love lovely can we talk about how adorable the name

Of this shulka box is I wanted Pals today oh why the helmets being so wholesome as they torture the cleaning lady I can’t help but love them the pile grows some more now the rest of them I don’t actually expect to have much in them because we have jebs one

Next the one that involves his industrial district and the one at soup group and they don’t usually get used but we’ll check them anyway nothing adjust oh a couple of little things in the soup Group Bin okay okay okay I’m proven wrong with that one oh and a little bit at impulse industrial

District I didn’t actually expect anything to be in here because he hadn’t used it ever since this has been placed in there was nothing in there every time I rejected well I am pleasantly surprised and hey a bunch of shulker shells some obsidian I can roll with

That yes plunk these ones in there and there we go all of the trash is collected around the server and my gosh if I can just jump up here look at the pile just from the garbage bins that I had I didn’t have many garbage bins I’ll

Be at a lot of this is from scars trash bin but I mean my gosh that’s a lot and not only were the garbage bins full of course every single chest in twinkly trash is also full too it’s just entirely full of all kinds of stones so

I’m pretty sure that’s from Joe who’s been doing a lot of digging it’s actually kind of Bonkers okay almost full I stand corrected but as you can see the current shop was just never gonna hold all of this but I also didn’t expect the cleaner lady service to be so

Popular I am beyond excited to make this idea properly usable so we do need to get going I’ve already got a few resources to get us started over here in the shulkers but I’m sure this won’t be enough and I’ll need to collect a little

Bit more later for now this will do and I’m gonna get building on that expansion let’s roll that time lapse thank you laughs it’s a new dawn it’s a new day and we have a brand new facelift expansion for our wonderful twinkly trash shop and my gosh is it looking fabulous flipping

Around here you can see what a huge difference it has made and I feel like we’ve honestly probably doubled our real estate size with this Edition as well I feel like how much space this expansion is taking up is really showing how out of hand this garbage situation has

Gotten to anyway let’s look at this a little bit closer shall we so I’m going to do a little bit of an overview flyover so you can see it from above first and would you look at that of course straight away you can see the colors are already a lot more vibrant

Might be in part influenced by my own Mega base but I mean from the back it doesn’t quite look as big definitely has a lot more impact from the front probably because you’re looking at it at a lower angle speaking of angles I was experimenting with a few different types

Of shapes for this particular Edition we have a very slightly sloped roof for that piece there and the one underneath it but if you go to this roof over here you can see I’ve kind of gone for a little bit more of a curved look it starts off pretty steep and then

Gradually comes back into that shallow slope once again and if we fly down here over to the bottom you can see I’ve also got some very harsh just straight cut diagonals and then up top we’ve got a dome there is so many different little pieces and shapes that I have added to

This build but it still falls under the whole industrial Vibe umbrella but not only does the shape contribute to the styling your palette is also going to contribute to that as well you can see I’ve used some very orange and grungy type tones with some Grays with a little

Bit of Pop of green here and there and if you look up industrial that pretty much follows that same color theme so there’s a tip for building if you aren’t for a particular style make sure that you’re shaping and Palette work in tandem with each other if we look at

What I’ve created all the different segments have a different color theme to them on the right hand side of this giant weird looking thing which houses the new Trade sign it has a very bright red color tone to it get this piece on the middle is more of an orangey Vibe

And the one on the left has more Blues in it they’re all very separated but then they’re kind of brought together with the granite and terracotta palette that I’ve added here even with just a little bit of a stripe it keeps them all tied together like a Band-Aid let’s move

To this path down here and I can have a little do a little bit of a walk around for you so straight away of course we got Zuma’s shop down here and I wanted to keep his shop quite connected to the pars above without blocking him out

Entirely and although he’s got that path over here it’s kind of nice to be able to walk through an environment so that’s why I kind of let this path wrap around my shop and it also comes back out the other side all the while you’re walking underneath this kind of bridge that’s

Connecting the old piece and the new piece together making sure it’s one big cohesive building when you’re looking at it I could have separated them but really there’s no point and also it kind of serves to be easily accessible from one building to the next looking at the

Back here there you can see I’ve gone for a bit of a it almost feels like a garage it’s got the delivery Bay kind of stylization to it especially with this uh awesome truck that’s just sitting here which I honestly really love I’m so proud of this truck design look at the

Hood of it I’m happy with it but and of course like its original predecessor has these garage doors that make it really feel like they’re going to be offloading a lot of goods and supplies to a warehouse which let’s be honest with the amount of trash that’s coming through

Yeah that’s pretty much a true statement but as you can see of course the interior hasn’t been done yet that’s gonna be left till the next episode because working on the exterior of this place as it was was quite a big project in itself and we can make the interior a

Project for another day either way I’ll show you around and how it all connects to everything and how it’s gonna work so if we move down the stairs right here this is actually probably going to be where a lot of the foot traffic will end up because up top I just didn’t have

Enough space to put any of the automatic sort of redstone that’s going to go in so of course we had that little area dug out and it’s all going to settle down here in almost like a bit more of a storage basement because there’s just a

Lot of room you can put Redstone there you can put Redstone there you can put Redstone there it’s gonna be massive and this is a course where people are gonna get all their Stone their grass their Cobble their dirt just all the bulk things that pretty much everybody is

Throwing away hey that’s an empty sugar box anyway but it’s going to be all the stuff that people are most likely to throw away and henceforth is going to be filtered by the automatic sorting system now everything that is going to be in overflow that can’t sort into the system

Is going to be put up here manually By Me on these kind of mist shelves so when people walk in they’ll see more of the niche stuff and they can do a little bit of window shopping if they want to grab anything there otherwise everything they’ll need will be down the bottom but

Yes anyway that’s kind of all I have to say about the New Edition what are you guys think so far from the back it’s almost it’s had underwhelming but then from the front it just feels like I’ve expanded it so much more and I love the current layout of it all the different

Shapes and pieces that I’ve added to it really kind of come together as a bit of a fun structure to look at look at this I am not done expanding there will be more in the future don’t you worry about that so next episode we’re going to be

Adding the guts of the operations so we can bring this thing online but for now we’ll just have to deal with that monster in the basement and maybe feed it every now and again so it doesn’t get cranky in the meantime though I’d like to show you guys some clips that

So there you have it this episode was an absolute packed one from doing the mass expansion to the shop playing some random mini games with Hermits and acquiring this new thing that we’ve made called the cheese touch it looks like we’re gonna be doing some more scaring

In the future but maybe not just to impulse and I maybe we get other Hermits involved too hmm that should be a lot of fun at last that is going to be the end of the episode today because we have run out of time but thank you everybody so
