Hermitcraft Season 9 – The BIGGEST Farm in Hermitcraft History! – #40

Oh oh Wow hey hey guys welcome back to another episode here from The Hermit Craft Server if you goat hey what’s happening oh Baby I’ve been grinding I’ve been grinding like crazy check this out today we gonna start our biggest farm project yet the destiny of the perimeter a giant

So you never really know what to do right um so yeah we’ll find a good good middle ground um yeah talking about the grind let’s sleep real quick you never know I laid out a bunch of copper and maybe you remember up there we had a large copper or pillar I mined

Down about half of it what you guys doing here and uh morning gem that gave me enough to produce six stacks of copper blocks we’re gonna need them we’re gonna need a lot of copper half slabs for design reasons so yeah a bunch of that it’s doing its thing and now

Check this out absolute Insanity here so first we need 70 777 black glass this is like 35 sugar boxes full of black glass it was a lot of black dye a lot of squid hunting a lot of sand shoveling but thank God we got the you know furnace array here

Smelting it then no problem then we need let me see um yeah that is the tinted glass so over 11 charcoal boxes of tinted glass and then we need Soul Sand um 7.77 tracker boxes of Soul Sand so we made it eight there was lots of

Shoveling and then we need ice or water um I got a bunch of ice we would technically need more for the whole setup but I’ll try with water buckets um and um yeah also with ice just to figure out what is better to do because yeah drown Farm needs lots of water so

The drones can spawn in there so that was my main grind so far and it took about a week of coming on daily and you know grinding away but it’s fun I love the silent grind as well in Minecraft you know that brings back just new chilling playing the game

And not narrating everything you do so yeah it ain’t the worst so the drowned Farm goes straight smack in the middle here and is ginormous um we’ll start building today let’s see if we can finish it then there’s also another side to that but before

We do that quickly when I look at the spider slash iron farm you like that design a lot last time thanks guys much appreciated um I have a lightning rod over there but I think we would need one a little bit closer by just to make sure we get no

Lightning strike that was one of the comments I got in here we’re actually missing a glass cuts to pick that up and fix that but yeah on the top layer here actually I had also the tinted glass and that prevented spawns on the top layer um yeah observing a little bit here so

Now I added another matte layer oh there’s still glass in there from me fixing it wait let’s quickly get get that glass so we can fix that over here where was that over there over there all right all right cool cool perfect yeah I fixed it and then flew away so that’s

Tough yes um stuff here was not unloaded so I just stuck around the classic by the way with the iron Farms it’s the most annoying that was not so smart so that’s the most annoying thing um right now you can see we should have seen an iron golem by now for sure and

It’s the old bug that is still in Minecraft enhance iron farms and villager trading setups and all that sometimes the game upon reloading makes it so it’s a bug that the villagers clearly forget where their beds is so now you know when it when one night time happens what was that

When one night time happens um it resets itself then the villagers refined their position and all good who the heck just called me and hung up right away interrupting my intro here anyways um so yeah um all works here now now it’s perfected and I’d say I start work

Here with the drowned farm and basically everything starts with a massive layer of Soul Sand so we get an idea how big that the whole thing is and I guess that’s how we’re gonna start it’s gonna be so much fun with the Slime spawning on me constantly all right

Um I guess let’s grab the Soul Sand and get going Thank you yep that was some serious Soul Sand placing man this took over two hours what the heck oh God why well yeah you know if you want to do an efficient drowned Farm it gotta be big um and yeah it’s not built in a random location here of course when we decided

Where to build the perimeter right we kind of uh yeah picked a good location and there’s a huge River biome inside the perimeter and um yeah this drown Farm is completely inside a river biome these days biomes are 3D biomes right it’s not okay this

Is all River it could be like River by your home and then there could be cave drip Stone cave where nothing spawns and actually that’s the case here and there are some spots of drip Stone cave in between but that’s not a problem drowned can spawn there anyways just not as good as

Um yeah in River biomes the river biomes is definitely the best way to build a drowned farm and you can see a glass blocks here um in the yeah massive the sauce and floored those are marking out our sections each of that is about a chunk size and yeah

We funnel the drones into The Nether and we kill them there so it’s pretty crazy and well technically this Farm needs two players to operate somebody needs to sit here in the perimeter and make sure you know we load the area and spawn in runs while the other person is over in the

Nether killing so you ask yourself well you know did you figure out a way to duplicate yourself now Mr goat no but you know we take advantage of our surroundings who’s addicted to DSG TCG right the whole server so it’s very simple by the way here’s the dragon some

People be asking where’s the drink it’s just not rendered in when I don’t go there position it this morning perfectly circling around the flag but yeah the point is I’m gonna put my TC G Arena and now you can see again the scale of the thing right smack in the middle of top

Of it and then when people are playing TCG which will have a special game mode of course if you play here in the um perimeter that TCG game will have a special game mode but I’ll reveal that soon and people will be playing I’d be chilling in the nether farming away

That’s right that’s the plan so I nearly there I might ask other hermit if they got nothing else to do they can hang out here and load the area a bit but that’s the point you know efficiency get people to play dzg while we get you know rich

On copper drowning in Copper pretty much and I guess yeah basic plan is laid out now and now I just need tons of glass the outer walls are um if the prismarine glass so no light comes in and the inner walls between the yeah individual Chambers here are made from the dark

Glass so the black glass and yeah used up all the all the Soul Sand minus this little bit here all these charcoals are empty so now I can grab all of that and just toss it into the storage system and here there’s some yeah black stained

Glass yeah I’ll get that now and then I’ll start placing 77 000 glass blocks plus like 15 000 Dark Prince Marine Yo why why is this so big well I guess we like it big Looking in from the side you can grasp the dimension still will never get used to the shulker boxes making the world like see-through though it’s like it’s like what is that Ayah my shocker boxes so yeah this is a big project I’m at it for a few hours now and everything takes

Really long if things are big that’s a simple simple logic here in Minecraft and I flooded all the base layers now so we gotta build up several layers here of course and I’ll just spotted this here forgot one water in here to make sure everything is perfect yeah we really need to double

And triple check that we don’t screw up any water so earlier I think going layer by layer might be a good move you know I build in the next layer and then water again but I surely also want to try out a technique with ice to create the water

In here and see if that is a little bit easier so I left this spot open here and I’m gonna build up a full cell all the way up with the ice pattern I have in mind and then we’ll see how that feels and how that goes and also will give you

A bit of an idea what the design will roughly look like but yeah it is big very big Foreign this gives us a good idea how tall the structure will be now I just have to repeat this wait one two three four five six seven eight nine one two three four five six fifty four fifty three times oh man and it’s not you know the top

Half is still missing you gotta install portals on top and uh lava based lighting system but yeah let’s worry about that later now let’s worry about if we mind the stuff so we oops that was a quite a drop man it’s tall but yeah we want maximum spawning spaces for the

Drone to spawn so what we now would have to do is we just go in here and break these water blocks out and then our ice blocks and then we can flood the whole thing and that was quick and now comes the tedious part right we will start bobbing around like crazy

Because of the water columns and now if I have to go in and place water buckets all the time to flood everything you know it would also be theoretically quite easy to grab a bucket and then you know just place them like the the ice but I think oh my God this is

Yep this is definitely got to be annoying so where do we best no matter what this is gonna be annoying but maybe if we sail here yeah if we stay here where the water is floating it’s not fully bubbly yet and then we can go around yeah that’s maybe doable then it’s not

So annoying super bubbly annoying but bro this is gonna be a pain I have to do this 53 more times you kidding me and it floods oh man what did I get myself into here again you know now I know I kind of know maybe you know subconsciously I was just delaying

Building this Farm because I knew this is gonna be a pain to make oh my yeah but here riding on the wave is kind of feel like a surfer but it makes sense you know riding on the expanding wave here that and then you don’t bubble like crazy

Placing oh God and this is already bad all right let’s let’s do this so we don’t can’t for you know one thing’s for sure by breaking all the ice like that it’s oh my God sure sure I don’t miss miss a water bit I mean that would be devastating you

Know if you have water messed up somewhere but Brock I can’t mind it I can’t do it from the top I need to do it from you know going upwards and I cannot just stand on their mind down and be happy that that won’t work I got to

Oh no that’s the wrong X okay no no oh God you get oh God you know I’m concerned you guys are getting seasick I’m starting to feel seasick okay okay okay oh stop bouncing like crazy can we not fight the bounds in any way not really

Yeah only good way is to serve you okay I’m I’m gonna go ahead and torture myself further by breaking all this ice here then I’ve got to build another chamber and then we’re gonna try the bucket method my new tactic is to remain in swimming mode AKA fly mode and yeah

Then you don’t bounce so much and it’s easier to fill in stuff but yeah it’s already decided I’m not gonna do that again um next cells will all be built layer by layer and then I can walk on the glass and just peacefully place my eyes or

Water that’s not a big difference then I guess but yeah this is oh God this is yeah pure torture but a while in fly mode at least it’s Oh wrong it’s a little bit better controllable I guess Nana see now I’m not bouncing much I’m not touching

My keyboard I’m just letting the water do its thing and it pushed me over here and then you know now it push me here oh a lot of Mercy there’s still so much to go yep layer by layer that’s the way wow Foreign I’ve built two more of those things and and I did the layer by layer mode that is way better than you know using the the eyes and bobbing inside the water and whatnot like I don’t need the IC I can just go along like this

Grab a sauce block from below fill up and boom another layer done super chill and then I just go ahead and uh yeah add another glass layer and we keep on going like that and I decided I’m gonna do to see three segments here at once it’s a bit more

Chill because you also get some more chilled glass placing time in between like you know that the glass placing is kind of mindless when you have to place the water you have to focus a little bit because you need more like precise clicking I guess I don’t know I just

Wanted to have more placing in between so yeah now we’re gonna do several segments at once and then just keep on stacking up layer by layer and finally I’m also High Enough that the Slime can’t reach me anymore I got this sound the Slime sound ah it’s

Imprinted in my brain since I got this perimeter every time I do something down here bro I’m so glad when we finally start doing the spawn proofing for the whole perimeter so I get rid of the Slime basically the sound can’t hear it anymore Matt drives me insane but okay ah over there

One more glass layer and then we can do some more water spreading still though um pretty much right now I have three 54th of this whole project done it this is a biggen this is a begin but when it’s done we for sure gonna have the most powerful

Um copper Farm on the server and we’re gonna need lots of copper for the whole decoration of the perimeter and then I have plans to building a gigantic tree as well um on this side we want to build a cool shocker Farm I have this design idea for

A long time now I never got around to do it and we’re looking good and yeah I wanted to sit here with a gigantic inside a gigantic tree Copper Tree then we need to do the whole side decorations there’s gonna be lots of copper so yeah copper Farm was needed from the get-go

And finally it’s coming apart you know of course there is the reinforcement copper Farms but um yeah I don’t like them too much I like a traditional Farm better that’s oops here we need glass that’s why we built the perimeter and it’s a nice challenge to build a real Mega Farm like

This is on a scale where for example the sci craft would build it also like huge and as think it’s it’s fitting you know to honor the achievement of building a big air perimeter yeah we we need to we need to also build a real crazy Farm normally several people would

Work on I mean look at it it’s it really is big yes I’m finished I wish but hey big progress we got this L shape now all the way back to here so I did this whole row just finished with the glass layers and yeah in between we will have

Um the nether portals here and then we also will have a water washing to the side so I have to do that on top but we’re we’re getting somewhere I mean let’s have a look from over there over Yonder on the spider farm oh my God so this segment I did now took

Over four hours like four and a half something hours non-stop I did a short pee break too much information doc but you know I just want to give you a grasp of you know the amount of work that goes into something like that you easily underestimate it it looks like nothing

But brought the placing of water in all of that and you know the sheer amount of blocks 77 000 glass blocks alone that it is it is happening but yeah it’s it’s a brutal grind um but yeah doing it in Stripes like that kind of felt good I feel I think I

Will go continue like that you know the psychological aspect and creating big builds like that um is also a huge thing you gotta have a feeling of yeah making progress and that completely that slice there felt pretty good maybe I’ll try to do this L now and then

I only have the inner thing to fill in maybe that’s a good good way to feel progress yeah blasted through tons of glass already you’re down are my Shark boxes wanted to clean a few up I think pretty much this whole row is empty now

Yeah all the way up to here and then yeah that’s not all the glass I have have still tons sitting up there and yeah that’s a tinted glass we will need for the roof structure and so on later down the line but yeah we’re getting there we’re getting there but there

Definitely is a brutal grind but it will be all worth it in the end oh yeah all right my new tactic now for the second L shape is I’m doing double layers because you know double layers you can place really fast like that and it makes a real difference I wonder now

How it will be doing the water I have to reach down one layer and then do it there could be a bit more tedious but I think overall this will be fast to build progress it’s like you know if you gotta if you if you do gigantic bills like that you

Gotta try to optimize hey what am I complaining about you know if you try to do a monument for example the cologne dome right one of the biggest and most famous churches Gothic cathedrals in Germany took like about 600 years to make so you know if you want to do some

Monuments you gotta gotta put in the work I guess but yeah this is um a quick way to do these two layers oh wait I screwed up I went I went down here and didn’t do the L shape ah whatever I I guess I do a slice then

But yeah okay this is this is the new way now double layers welcome everybody to total chaos part four Believe It or Not hello hello this this version promises to be the most chaotic ever so you guys are in for a good time fun time and a deadly time

So um sweet yeah to make a long story short there’s shulkers now so you can levitate above the stadium which means the lava above you is now in play uh long story short don’t break blocks don’t leave the stadium and last person standing wins uh and also

Server right I mean I feel like I’m challenging him for his title with this crazy project here but you know cop is the grinder and him refilling that thing you see how long that shot oh yeah and ESO the official winner just joined got himself some five tokens nice nice yeah

I also got some tokens from some games I’ve been playing maybe we do a little unboxing today as well and uh yeah try to get a pack but yeah me personally I’ve been spending all my time here you know and yeah I confess I was whining about it a little bit to all

Other Hermits hoping somebody would say oh I wouldn’t mind placing some water for a few hours but didn’t get lucky but look at that it’s a giant L now hopefully the farm design is not a giant L got another row completely done which took forever and forever and um yeah now

I’m going crazy I’m doing all the sales at once always doing two high glass wall and then going in with my bucket and yeah I’ll keep on doing that now for another several hours and then I hope uh it’s day three now and uh you know real

Life since I started building here it’s not including actually you know the whole resource Gathering process which took a week so yeah this is definitely I would say the biggest farm ever made on the hermitcraft server [Applause] Who I’m in the building with unstoppable crew you don’t know who you’re dealing with boy act up and I give you one wanted I’m too skilled homie I get one shot of water day four working on this project now I think by now the last time lapse segment

You saw that was 10 hours 10 hours alone but yeah we’re there uh the cells are done but we’re far from finishing this project but still I quickly want to address something that is really really important to me as you know I often speak of the hive mind

Right this anonymous group of people but you know a bunch of names whose call members of the hive mind for years now for example methods methods has been helping me with designs and inspiration for years now and he has contributed so much to the Minecraft community and I really really

Consider methods one of the key players in the Minecraft community and a great friend and yeah unfortunately methods went to uh yeah through a bit of a rough time went uh you know on a bit of a Hiatus because yeah his beloved dog Bruno had died and yeah you know method

Loved his dog and yeah he wasn’t have not in a good place for a long time trying to yeah get better and you know finally he showed up the other week and today I’m I’m doing all right and you know that made me extremely happy and that’s the reason why I am relentlessly

Grinding right now I wanted to show methods that his contributions to the community are great and you know there’s so many people like methods that invent amazing things in Minecraft they don’t have to platform like I do I’m in this lucky spot that for years I can you know

Show off these amazing inventions of the technical community and the artwork and all these things and it just means the world to me and yeah that’s what motivates me also a lot it’s not only you know for the YouTube algorithm and trying to secure my livelihood and so on that this is all

Things that motivate you for sure but you know you always need a greater motivation in life I feel like something bigger and for me I feel my job and it has been for many years in this Minecraft Community is to shine a light um on some people that do amazing things

But unfortunately you don’t have a real way to present that to a larger audience and you know these crazy designs and inventions these people create um yeah you know entertain thousands and yeah if it means that I have to sit here and grind non-stop for 40 hours

You know then I’ll do it if that’s uh what I have to do I’ll do it gladly and yeah with that said we have this giant thing done now and now um I think it’s time to install the lighting system pretty much um and we’re gonna use lava as we did in

The spider farm over there and yeah prepared some more stuff here we need for the building project we need 77 lava buckets um we need 77 dispensers and a bunch of building blocks and so on and a whole lot of obsidian for the portals later on and I guess um yeah it’s time

To install the lighting system so in between the cells we always had these yeah slits or channels leading downward and this is where the lava will flow and it will be enough to light up all the farm to stop all the spawns completely which is definitely something you want with a

Large scale farm right you don’t want want to think running all the time oh crap I had no inventory space but I think to install that I will have to dig down for two blocks then look up then I can get the dispensers in here and then

In each a lava bucket and then yeah back up I guess and now I have to do that 77 times all the way through hopefully yeah maybe I should have placed him right away oh well we’ll see we’ll figure it out just keep on grinding all right got the lighting system in I

Just went through and checked if all pillars reach all the way down here and there I had some wrongly placed blocks I mean it happens you do a big build like that and the lava couldn’t flow down so yeah what you simply do is you go you

Can turn off one segment here for example and then I could go down remove the glass that was in the way and fix it easily lives like three sections where it was not correct but other than that from what I can tell we got the complete lighting system in and

That should make sure we can completely shut off this Farm yeah looks pretty crazy the weird rendering arrows though still with the glass oh well yeah lots of lots of lava pillars all the way okay cool so now um I’m gonna place a layer of obsidian

On top here and then we gotta do two more layers of water to bring everything up and and then we can start thinking about the roof construction and we need to do some trickery with the water flow um I guess I’m gonna use frostwalker boots to freeze the top layer then get

My water in that I need on top and then um we should be good and then just wait until daytime it melts again yeah slide my back get a spawn proved it quickly here Foreign Sometimes you know they’re setbacks I’ve started to lose completely but I’m not even mad you know this I’m I’m just indifferent by now my brain is complete mush but I don’t want to you know blame the mush brain I just uh yeah sometimes you can’t know everything about the game and now I

Remember though again but yeah I forgot so my glorious plan was right um as you see we placed uh more water layers uh and so on preparing the portals and now I have marked out these positions with the tinted glass up here this is where I want to have a double

Water stream going left and right that will push the drowns towards the portals and make glorious plane wars yeah it’s gonna be easy I’m just gonna make Frost Walker boots you know wait until night time then I’m gonna walk on here freeze everything and then I can place the

Water and you know daytime comes it melts and everything is perfect a lot of work is you know um saved well yeah I got the frost Walker boots on right and you see what happens yep yep there was this thing that bubble column actually doesn’t freeze and I was just like desperately

Walking around everywhere for five minutes no oh really so yeah that means um thinking cap was on I was thinking what could I do maybe scaffolding or yeah one thing for sure I need to solidify the top layer and then I thought the best way probably is I have to use lava

Freeze this whole layer freeze Cobblestone the whole layer wait wait what it doesn’t even turn into cobblestone oh God no way yo okay the big oversighted building oh my God that means I need to replace this all by hand I gotta get dirt now and place dirt everywhere

Oh no why okay if I built this Farm ever again for sure I would place the Soul Sand last I’d have some other blocks in there or not no blocks at all or whatever and then you know go in last place to Source it that oh my God yeah oh God

There’s no better way I um thank God I have tons of dirt up there oh my God there’s gonna be such a pain in the butt this prolongs the building process like insanely I was almost like okay I can actually pull this off where’s all my dirt

Oh God okay this will be well this will add a significant amount of grind so technically now I have to place a layer of dirt in every single cell oh God placing all the souls and took around three hours so then I have to dig it away again and then replace the water

Again oh my God Okay so I guess third placing it is alright relatively quick relatively quick I sped up time you know and The Time Lord I mean I’m completely going crazy okay and then I do this get my eyes in place right and then I take my Fortune pick so we actually

Break that water here exactly yeah now that spreads out nicely and now I have to go in again Take It All Away yeah but the third is quick to dig I think yeah if going with the dirt here is is my only hope oh God and now I have to fix the water

Streams again okay I guess I have to do that from from the outskirts here it’s gonna be quite annoying though because I can’t really see to have a second bucket on me yeah okay now I have to take the bucket and then I have to do

Oh man the water pushes me that’s also annoying I have to put sauces there the dad helps me a little bit with seeing what’s going on well okay yeah we got Pablo we got bubble and going on here but I can only oh man yeah this is oh no

No no no and we just we disturb the water okay we can fix it by doing this right you can fix it by doing this we can do I have to go all the way back now to fix it really what wait will it oh no this looks for the oh

God okay this yep I’m officially in in hell now this will be insane this will be very insane I might have to use a water lock block here so I can simply break it out and don’t have to worry about fixing the water layer again yeah

I might have to use half slabs here half slab it all water lock it half slip it yeah yeah because otherwise you know this is like insanely tedious yep okay I’m gonna yeah the next attempt we’re gonna try use half slabs water logging all right filled it all in with half slips now

And had a good laugh with methods in the Discord about our stupidity you know in our One Design we had that had a scaffolding layer on in there already but we decided against it we were like ah I don’t really need that come on that’s where he’s at more elegant I

Regret it now but okay this is the way now our water is spread out and now yep we have to mine out these these again and everything turns into bubble column the way it should be but bro I might bring a beacon over here to speed up the mining process here a

Little bit because yeah on a large scale build like that every second you can shave off helps but I guess this is the most efficient way now question is would it have been faster to First build the whole dealio right as I mentioned and then swim down and place all the Soul

Sand or is this the better wave eventually I mean you know you Gotta Die one way or the other so you can choose your your destiny it both both will suck kind of I guess but yeah I I guess this this is doable but this will add several hours to the build

Last you know a lot of problems came from that I couldn’t use my ice pillars I have planned to quickly generate the water um I couldn’t uh use you know the frost walking to get the sideways flowing that added countless hours to the whole project and you know the water placing

If I would have had the eyes and easily can swim around in there quickly break the ice you know it should have shaved off 10 hours maybe or more the water placing was the most brutal bit brutal you really don’t want to do that the rates the real rates we will find out

Next week as you can see right there stuff spawning all around us the reason is um the spawn platform here is not so high up and we actually yeah in our spawns here um yeah you can see here at this line just spawned over there and so on so

They immediately take up the spawn cap and also of course under here under the cover right mobs are spawning in you can see down there they also take the mop cap so yeah but mainly the the Slime obviously the issue yeah not a creeper so yeah um gotta make sure
