How FAST Can You Travel 1000 BLOCKS in Minecraft Hardcore?!

In this video we’re gonna be answering one simple question how fast can you travel from here to here and to answer this question we’re gonna have to go on lots of journeys and even kill the ender dragon so be sure to keep watching because you’re not gonna want to miss

This episode of hardcore minecraft alright guys welcome to episode 5 of hardcore minecraft let’s get straight into this and the first thing we need to do is actually build a trap so we can tell just how long one thousand blocks is so let’s smelt this stuff up and

Actually whilst all that stone is smelting we’re gonna craft ourselves a jukebox and enjoy our music disc that we got last episode And then we’ll turn all this into slabs so that we have some more blocks nice alright guys as you can see we’ve now got over a thousand slabs so let’s grab some of these and now we’re gonna build in a straight line for a thousand blocks

In that direction so we’re gonna have to speed this up a little bit all right so we’re a thousand blocks away from where we first started and now i’m gonna do something very very boring i’m gonna see how long it takes me to shift walk all the way back to the start

Of the thousand blocks leave your guesses in the comments down below but anyways let’s not waste any time and let’s get on with it we’ll start the timer in three two one go alright there we go we have done it and if you guessed exactly 13 minutes then

You were wrong because it was 12 minutes 53. okay so that’s the baseline that is the lowest time we’re gonna get and over this episode that time’s gonna get smaller and smaller until we find the fastest way to travel 1 000 blocks so bear with me one second worst i get the

Time for walking and sprinting and sprint jumping so i’ll see you guys back in a sec okay guys the results are in and of course walking is the slowest with three minutes and 52 seconds that’s so much faster than shift walking oh my god anyway the next one was running and

I had to eat during it so it’s kind of inaccurate but i think it was around about three minutes and then of course the fastest one was sprint jumping which came in at around about two minutes and 21 seconds very epic but now we’re gonna

Have to step it up even further and i think it’s pretty obvious what to do next we’re gonna make some speed patients and see how they affect it so let’s go all right so let’s grab some water let’s fill up some glasses and brew up some awkward potion add a little

Sprinkle of sugar and we need some glowstone bye please drop a trident and glowstick nice all right let’s go try this out and see how it affects the speed all right so with speed 2 1000 blocks can be traveled in two minutes and 10 seconds which is just slightly faster

Than sprint jumping but to test this next method we’re gonna have to do something very epic we need to get our hands on an elytra so for that we need to kill the ender dragon let’s go and get geared up all right nice so we’ve got food we got blocks we got enchanted

Golden apples but one thing that we actually do need is a bow so let’s grab some string and stuff and we’ll use this infinity book that we got last episode uh we don’t have many levels so let’s just do this and see what we can get

Power one not too bad then we’ll go over here try and get infinity very nice okay so we’re pretty much ready but we actually need to find the stronghold first so we’re gonna head into the nether and kill a bunch of endermen and blazes let’s go oh my god oh my god oh

Oh oh oh oh oh oh i forgot we’ve got a bow don’t we where’s he going okay so the blazers are up there let’s go kill them nice little bit of practice for the ender dragon nice these guys just watching me through their little holes it’s quite funny die die die

Let me get to this place he needs to die skeleton versus skeleton who’s going to win oh my god the northwest skeleton won oh and just gets instantly killed by a blaze nice i will avenge you skeleton okay one more perfect all right let’s go find some

Enderman here we go our first victim oh a nice little ender peel all right now we’re just gonna do this for the next five to ten minutes so enjoy this nice little speeded up clip of that Okay we’re back i think we have about 17 pills yeah so that’s pretty awesome let’s craft up our under eyes there we go let’s grab some more blocks and we’ll take some deep slate why not it’s a hard block oh and we also got some diamonds

The endy dragon and go and find an elytra which way is it i think it’s going to be that way i don’t know why but let’s see oh my god why am i so lucky at the moment right guys so the eyes just gone down here let’s dig down

Very safely and see what we’ve got i haven’t found a stronghold but we did just dig into this massive cave where’s our where’s our tunnel here is look how far down we are and we’re in this massive cave and i’ve just looked over here and diamond right here we can’t say

Native some diamonds here we are we found it nice oh my god it’s right there silverfish die i don’t want to break this but i also do so i’m going to break it and we’ve got the perfect amount of eyes let’s go i’d be so annoyed oh my god oh my god ah

We just forced ourselves free because we would sell fire let’s get this ender dragon nice and killed we’ve got two enchanted golden apples i don’t really want to use them but i will if i have to okay let’s start shooting these things there we go there’s one

There’s another one ah the dragon just shot me it’s been a long time since i fought the ender dragon to be honest there’s one up there nice we got it ah the dragon’s breath oh yes we got it as well nice we gotta be careful we don’t even have a totem

Nice i’m gonna go up a little bit just so i can get a better view of all of them we’ve got feather falling so that should help a lot if we get knocked off oh my god the dragon just knocked me down nice that one’s so high up oh we got it

All right there’s one last one up there and then we can start hitting him with our sharpness four diamond sword we’re doing all of this just to get an electrode to test how fast you can go over a thousand blocks all right here we go uh let’s do that

Nice okay we’ll clean this up because we’re gonna do an end project later on in this series let’s do this oh good job we got feather falling for all right dragon it’s time to die all right he’s coming down we need to get in there why are they all the time

Oh my god i’m gonna eat this i don’t care why are they attacking me i don’t remember looking at them All right let’s set this up so we can kill enderman safely actually we’re like invincible now why don’t i just use that a bunch of enderman can’t kill me i’ve got a god apple we’re literally invincible oh look it’s healthcare now nice oh this bear is so bad all right it’s coming down

Gunpowder and make some rockets actually we’ll just take the paper and i saw some gunpowder there okay nice we’ve got rockets we’ve got our elytra let’s go test how fast we can travel 1000 blocks with an elytra and some rockets all right so the way this is going to work

Is i’m going to spam the rockets but i’m going to try and make it last for the full 1000 blocks all right here we go three two one go we’re just going to span the rocket There we go and it was pretty much exactly 30 seconds so that is by far the fastest time so far the next method i want to check out which i wasn’t sure would be faster or slower than the elytra was going to be to use a boat not

On water but on packed ice because it goes a lot faster and even faster than normalized okay so for this we’re going to need our silk touch pickaxe where is it there you are and let’s head over to the ice mountain let’s grab as much ice as we can

All right our pickaxe broke but we’ve got a bunch of ice let’s place it down alright guys the entire track is now set up this took a very long time but we have it nice and set up and we’re gonna see if this is actually faster than on

The light trip all right three two one let’s go we need to keep it straight it’s going to be hard all right i think this is pretty much optimum i’m holding down everything it feels a bit laggy but i think it’s just because we’re going so fast

My god this is really fast actually it might be faster oh we’ll see all right guys the results are in and i actually think that one was a bit faster i’ve got it down it’s about 27 seconds but the exact time will be on screen now i’m actually quite surprised that that

Was faster than an electro of rockets and it’s probably actually way more efficient to travel like this i guess you do have to set it all up in the first place though it’s actually quite fun to do this as well anyway the next method what are we gonna do i’ll give

You a clue it’s got something to do with the nether but before we get onto it we’ve got to tend to the carrots because if we go and look at episode three then we can see that we now have 24 000 likes on the video which means we’re gonna

Have to plant four thousand more carrots and we might as well call it five thousand so it’s time to get working All right and now it is carrot time All right let’s do this Okay guys and there we go we have now planted 25 000 carrots also i think them holes are from endermen it’s kind of annoying but i’m not fixing them and i think next episode i’m gonna take a break from planting carrots because my wrists are actually starting to hurt oh my god

Anyways let’s get back to the science oh and uh i’ve got a goat in a boat and i got the i got the achievement called whatever floats your gate which is pretty cool but anyways as i said the next method involves the nether and specifically it involves nether portals

So we’re gonna have to go and collect some obsidian let’s go all right we’ve got the obsidian for the portals now we’re just collecting some ice and we’re gonna bring it into the nether to hopefully make an even faster way of traveling 1 000 blocks so i’ll

See you in the nether all right guys so we’re in the nether we’ve got two portals one set up here one set up over there they’re about 125 blocks apart and they link to either side of the thousand blocks so this one goes to here and

This one goes to here on the other side of the a thousand blocks and the plan is to hollow out this middle bit and then put ice down and use the boat trick between them because then hopefully it will be even faster than just using the boat in the overworld because if you

Didn’t know one block traveled in the nether equals eight in the real world so we’re gonna try and use that to our advantage let’s get it set up and then see how long it takes to travel a thousand blocks right guys so what i’m thinking is i’m gonna have to include

All the times i spent traveling through the portals in the actual travel time because otherwise i don’t think it will be very fair and we’re gonna start here and end over there let’s do this and three two one let’s go go go go go go

Oh i hope this is faster we’ll see we’ll see we’ll see go go go go it’s surely it’s gonna be faster okay we’re done the results are in and that was exactly 15 seconds so that is a lot faster than all the other methods so far traveling through the nether

Definitely makes a massive difference what do you think about it gate thanks but this next method is gonna be even faster and i have a feeling you might know what it is if you clicked on today’s thumbnail let me give you a little demonstration i think this method

Is going to completely blow the other ones out of the water okay so we go like this we dig down uh we’re going to put water at the top and then dig down all right i think this will do then at the bottom of here we’re going to place soul

Sand and then we’re going to play some kelp if we can so now they’re all source blocks yes we’ve got a bubble column and now you want to get a trapdoor and some of you guys might know what it is yes it’s an end a pill stasis chamber and

This is what’s gonna travel with a thousand blocks a redstone signal we can use repeaters to extend it like so and then we’ve got a lever at the end so this will be at one side and then this will be at the other side and before we

Do it we’ll set up this so we’ll throw this down like that and that should come back up nice right i think that’s worked and then we’ll stand on one side and we’ll just do this and we should teleport pretty much instantly uh obviously there’s a little bit of delay for the

Redstone repeaters but it shouldn’t be much and hopefully we should be able to travel 1000 blocks in like a couple of seconds which will be really ap all right let’s set it up i really hope this works because this is like the entire concept of the video all right i’ve kind

Of just realized that we’re gonna need a lot more redstone so it’s time for a redstone mining montage let’s go Diamonds let’s go alright guys we’ve got the redstone and now we just need to craft up some repeaters and then we can get building it there we go okay and there’s the enderpearl stasis chamber set up now we just need to do the redstone All right guys it’s all set up the redstone is activated if i click this we should teleport so let’s start a timer and see how fast we can travel 1000 blocks leave any predictions you have in the comments down below anyways let’s do this three two one oh my god

Is it gonna work okay so what i think happened was the render distance isn’t high enough so let me turn it up and try again all right as you can see from the amount of lag i’m on the max render distance let’s see if it works all right three two one go

No all right guys so i’ve came up with a solution i’ve made a couple more endopol stasis chambers and put them along the line there’s about three in the middle and then obviously the one each side and this should enable us to do the entire 1000 blocks a lot faster and this time

It should actually work so let’s go and try it alright let’s do this three two one go Click click click And we’re there all right i’ve reviewed the footage and it was 11 seconds which is absolutely insane which is just shy of 100 blocks a second that is seriously fast i have one final bonus method that i want to try basically i want to try the same thing but in the nether and

Just see if it makes it any faster oh wait i have just realized you can’t use water in the nether i am stupid so i think that’s the title answered the quickest you can travel a thousand blocks is about 11 seconds you could probably get it down to 10 if you
