Minecraft exploded in popularity during 2011. what’s going on guys and welcome to a new let’s play however after all of those golden years minecraft started to slowly fade away i mean this entire minecraft community has fallen apart over the last few years the game that was on top of the entire world was Slowly falling to the inevitable death that every video game has to face but it’s not that simple to take down the greatest game of all time this is the story of how one simple block game took over the entire world a simple block game that was supposed to just fade away And how over 100 million people decided that minecraft can’t die just yet after minecraft’s initial blow up in 2013 the game didn’t instantly decline in fact according to google trends the game stayed pretty much the same for three years straight in terms of popularity however in 2016 minecraft began seeing a Pretty drastic decline in popularity way less people were playing minecraft and the overall searches were going down fast and from that point on it wouldn’t be going back up but why why did minecraft even decline in the first place other people also seemed to agree that minecraft was dying In 2016. so just what was the reason for its slow death there are three main reasons why this happened when microsoft bought minecraft for 2.5 billion dollars in 2014 it definitely contributed to the repetitive part of things after being bought by microsoft the frequency of major updates being put Out to minecraft slowed down a lot and compared to the almost monthly major updates back in 2011 minecraft updates were coming out yearly if not much much longer and since no new updates were coming to the players the game started to become stale and boring but luckily there were Fresh minecraft content youtubers to watch right well no when minecraft initially blew up let’s play content was unbelievably popular and major youtubers like stampy captain sparkles and all of your favorite childhood youtubers were carrying the game’s youtube popularity however due to let’s play content getting repetitive and youtube content Progressing most massive creators saw their views dropping the old content was becoming stale and minecraft was losing its youtube popularity after minecraft was just starting to lose its popularity a certain game was about to take the entire world by storm a game called fortnite battle royale fortnite destroyed the gaming scene by Becoming one of the fastest growing games of all time with everyone’s immediate attention on fortnite minecraft was in the background and declining even more and minecraft was losing its initial charm with everybody’s focus on other things happening minecraft was turning into that game that we used to love it was Turning into a thing of the past a game that comes and goes just like every other game we play it was accepted by many that minecraft won’t ever be as popular as it once was and after all of this minecraft hit the very lowest it had ever been in history two years later On october of 2018. now it seemed impossible for minecraft to become popular again it was 2018 fortnite was more fun than minecraft other games were being played and no one was covering it on youtube however i suppose we can call this the calm before the storm because minecraft wasn’t done Just yet a certain creator named j schlatt created the video a tribute to minecraft a very heart-touching video that highlights minecraft’s timeless nostalgia and our childhood love for the game it reminded people of minecraft’s timeless gameplay gameplay that can’t die some say that this video was the beginning of minecraft’s revival and Even though minecraft hit the lowest after this video was made jae schlatt’s video reminded every minecraft player of something minecraft is a game we stopped playing but it isn’t a game we stopped playing for good it’s the game you stopped playing for months and then randomly spend two weeks straight with Your friends playing and having the greatest time of your life jay schlot’s video might have left a small spark on the people’s hearts a small spark that turned into a massive fire gaming freak say it with me gaming tweak oh he doesn’t play enough games anymore gaming we starting off with the ultimate Game of all time minecraft that’s right i have not played minecraft and just like that the man himself a god among youtube creators came down from the heavens and created a series that sparked the entire fire pewdiepie created his minecraft let’s play series after an infinite amount of Requests to play minecraft a series that would end up being unbelievably successful a series that would spike minecraft back up to a point that hadn’t been seen that high since the start of minecraft’s downfall in 2016. this series brought minecraft back into the limelight it reminded people of why They loved the game watching pewdiepie have absolutely no idea what he was doing half of the time was a good throwback to the old days of minecraft it was safe to say that minecraft was back but only for a short time you see pewdiepie’s series was very hype at the Beginning but over time it was bound to lose the hype eventually a couple months later search rates for minecraft died back down and the initial hype was gone if it wasn’t for what’s about to happen minecraft would have just died back down again but there’s a reason i introduced Pewdiepie as the star of minecraft’s revival you see before pewdiepie announced his let’s play series there was a certain youtuber rumbling beneath the surface of youtube waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike and take the world by storm you know this youtuber as dream when pewdiepie was at the peak of his Let’s play dream uploaded a video on pewdiepie’s minecraft world seed and gained some good traction this was the start of the most popular minecraft player of all time dream would end up changing the youtube landscape but if minecraft was going to return to a point anywhere near 2015 it Would take more than just dreams videos coincidentally multiple channels you might know were about to use this opportunity to completely take over youtube in early 2020 youtubers like dream tommy in it george not found and many others began seeing rapid growth with their channels coincidentally or More so planned out at the beginning of 2020 minecraft saw a massive rise in search terms a rise even higher than the beginning of pewdiepie’s series with a fresh new set of youtube creators being introduced minecraft now had a community of thriving youtubers that brought the game more life But it’s not just the youtube creators that brought minecraft back with new major updates such as 1.16 the game saw a whole new side to the nether 1.16 was the icing on the cake it brought more people back to minecraft to check out the new update and in the Months that everyone was blowing up and new updates were being announced minecraft hit an all-time high in search rates rivaling search rates all the way back in 2015. minecraft was back and as 2020 ended this time minecraft wouldn’t be going back down and in a way the hype was only starting At the start of 2021 everyone was ready for the 1.17 update to be released the cave and cliffs update would be a complete game changer in the way we see minecraft eventually in the same year the 1.18 update would also be released only a month ago and this update is a Game changer as well with more frequent major updates minecraft was coming back youtube content is thriving more than it ever has since the og days and it’s safe to say the minecraft has been revived since minecraft has been revived i wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few Years it died back down a little bit minecraft has been out for over a decade a block game that has captivated hundreds of millions of lives even if minecraft has a billion players or even just a thousand the people that loved minecraft will always be coming back to the game It’s not a timeless game because the updates are so crazy or because there’s drama keeping it alive minecraft is a game that you can just simply play forever regardless if you quit for a couple months or years it’s a game that you can always come back to the simple melodies in the background How you build the same looking house every time you play somehow it feels like you’re experiencing it for the very first time minecraft truly is a timeless game Video Information
