How to Build an Enchantment Cave! | Minecraft School | Tutorial Let’s Play | Lesson 22

Okay that does not sound good where are you oh god there he is ah that’s horrible you’re probably wondering what am i doing back at the starter base well we’re actually going to be building a new enchantment set up but uh today we’re doing it with more

Style so hello and welcome to minecraft school my name is jd and i’ll be your teacher today so our objectives are number one how to design an enchantment cave to create an attractive enchantment setup and three introduce a new building material specifically mossy stone blocks the real reason i

Came over here is because i need to gather some materials so first of all we’ve got 26 we got 30 leather i just need 15 more so that’s going to be nice and easy uh let me grab that as well so i can cook that

I’m gonna feed them in a minute in a minute we need 135 paper how much does this make let’s see um crafting table we grab this go like that at 63. okay what do we got not enough ah we need to gather some more sugarcane uh there’s more over here but probably

Not enough anyways i’m gonna feed these guys so we can make some more cows to crush them and we’ll have a bunch more leather so i have everything to build the the enchantment setup but i need to build the actual room for it and i have decided i’m going to be using

This wall here we’re going to make a cave in here and i want to be able to get around here but i’m not going to be designing this park just yet but i think i need to dig back a bit and we’re just going to use this and go

Back a little ways here and i think i think we’ll just carve a little passageway through here because we’re going to have to get over to here as well this is where we’re going to be building our brewing setup right in the corner but for now i think we need to dig out

This cave in here i’m going to make it fairly large inside but on the outside it’s just going to be a nice little entrance here all right so i dug out a bit of a tunnel here going down here i think i’m going to make this a bit of a shallower

Step down and this is going to be the main chamber this isn’t exactly how it’s going to look we are going to be making this look more cave-like this is just a general shape so far and we’re going to be using a lot of stone so i think what we need to do

First of all i want to have another crafting table in here can’t go wrong with having a lot of crafting tables uh let’s just go right here for now and we need to make our first and i actually need to grab my diamonds i forgot them over there

Uh i think i may have left diamonds back at the starter base so we’re just going to take a couple of these because that’s all we need uh i hope there’s no lavender nope okay so we got these two and now we can make our enchantments set up

So this is a bit of a review it’s pretty easy you just need the four obsidian your two diamonds and a book and there we go and we’re gonna place this right in the middle now i don’t care how everything around here looks right now because well we’re just going to get

This set up first and then what we need are the bookshelves now i have a lot of leather here and a lot of paper so we need the leather uh let’s just put it all in there and let’s put all of it there paper that gives us 21. that’s definitely not enough

What we need whoops what we need is a total of 45 books that’s 42 and we just need that there we go all right and look at that 15 bookshelves perfect we do have room for one more um but we’re gonna have to go with 15 because i didn’t make enough books uh

Ah well then okay maybe he’s up there but uh we’re not going to a village anytime soon so i don’t think we’re gonna have much of a problem anyways we got bad omen this is the first time we’ve had bad omen as well so when you have bad omen make

Sure you do not go into a village unless you want to complete a raid i am not prepared to do that right now because i do not want to deal with that at the moment what i want to do is build so our comment of the video is

By dimelo damn that bow is pretty strong what enchantments are in it yeah you notice it actually killed that guy very quickly so i’ve got unbreaking 3 power 4 infinity and flame i’d love to have power five but power four is plenty strong and usually i i do a lot of

Fishing to get good bows that is one of the things i do with fishing all the time but hopefully there aren’t going to be any other guys around here i’m not going to worry too much about uh i do have an empty bucket i could find it uh oh

They’re on the other side oh god there he is oh boy um where’d you go where did you go i thought i saw you come down oh there you are hey you where are you going hey look at that that’s what we get we’ve got uh another crossbow that’s our second one

Okay i should probably sleep and uh hopefully no more guys come over from there found some cows let’s get rid of this bad omen here get some milk and there we go they shouldn’t bother us whenever we go to a village now and i sure don’t want them to bother me

All right let’s get back to building and hopefully there’s no more guys behind there we’re going to do a fairly basic setup here we just need to have all 15 around just go like this and here and here i could arrange it in a different way but

I think with 15 it’s easier this way with 16 i would have done it a different way now i know that this looks terrible and oh this gravel there is not very good but uh what i’d like to work on is the design of this place

I want to use mainly well a few different things so let’s go into the mine and we of course have the stone cutter which we’re going to be using quite a lot i would like to use some cobblestone as well as some regular stone uh that is going to mean

I’m going to be smelting some up which i’ve got right here so i can smelt that and like we don’t have much in the way of endocytes there’s antisight i could use some andesite i think that might be a good accent so i’m gonna get all of that ready while i’m waiting for

That i should see what’s up there just just in case you know um there could be something interesting i don’t know but let’s take a quick look i don’t see any pillagers good good good good hmm this could be an interesting addition to the base like a back entrance i think this could

Be used for something let me know in the comment section below what do you think we could use this area for as this could come in useful i think i found the rest of the pillagers ah this is silly hey guys oh that’s a lot of you oh that’s another group

Ah well they’re going that way i think i’ll let him pass one of the uh building blocks i want to use requires the use of vines so we’re gonna grab oh ooh down there too i’m gonna grab all the vines that we can here and we’re gonna make some mossy

Oh that was weird okay we’re gonna make some mossy mossy yeah mossy cobblestone okay that was just breaking like that okay so let’s go make it it’s very simple to make all you have to do is just put in your cobblestone and your vines and there you go mossy

Cobblestone this is great for building in uh places like caves as well as any other buildings that are maybe in a more damp area but it gives a bit of color too i brought our stone cutter over here because i don’t want to keep running back there but what we need

To do in here is make this look like a natural cave this is too square i want to get rid of the diorite because um frankly i don’t think it looks very good in this and the uh all of this has to go too but what i would like to do is

We’re gonna have a combination of stone slabs let’s put some here and we also need some cobblestone slabs now this is for our staircase down so we want to be able to have it looking somewhat rough a bit i guess you could say so that’s where the

Cobblestone comes in and down here as well i’d like it to be rougher at the bottom especially where you’re walking so yeah this is gonna be easier we don’t need to use stairs now as for the walls and everything else i’m just gonna remove these and replace with a combination of

Cobblestone and stone the basic texturing has been done we’ve just put in a bunch of cobblestone in here and replaced everything with stone as well but what do we do with this well i would like to do a few things um mostly right around where we’re walking because it’s gonna you know

This this area is wet so when you walk in here it’s probably gonna get a little bit wet so maybe we’ll put one here i mean i think that’ll look fine and maybe one right here as well so you don’t need to put it everywhere and in fact

Let’s extend the life of this a little bit a couple of these so that’ll that’ll work right here some mossy cobblestone slabs works great and here put another one here and i’m not putting them absolutely everywhere i’d like to concentrate them especially like around here this is good so i’m gonna

Place a bunch of these in but i should mention one more thing here when you are doing some texturing one thing that’s uh a nice idea is to add a few different shapes in here and there is something i want to do here and this involves i guess you can say stalactites

Stalagmites so uh let’s add in some of this and we’re gonna see what we can make in here i’m thinking i’d like to have one coming down from up there but i want to do some work on the ceiling and the walls first but we are going to just break that out

And put in a stair like right there and we’re going to do that in a few different places so we want stairs to look like there’s missing blocks and so on it’s time for the pop quiz number one what kind of structure do you like to use

For an enchantment setup and number two what materials do you like to use in your cave builds let me know in the comment section below i think this spot is a little bit tight so i’d like to open this up a bit so we can have a path going around i

Think that’ll make things a lot easier for us so we are going to have oops and we are going to have an entrance in here i need to remove that too so i’d like to just you know slightly prepare this a little a little bit

And yeah i think that’s gonna look a lot better now this is a little bit high so i think we’re gonna move this back a bit as well and a side entrance a side door here might be good because the uh the house itself is gonna be coming back right into here

So ah yeah that might be something i need to think about okay so we are going to be putting in a lot of things like stairs and slabs and walls all over the place so i think one of the best places to start off is right around the

Entrance we’re going to have things like this as well as around you know in the corners of stuff like this let me grab the slabs here and we are just going to texture things make it look a little more natural and sometimes i just want to bring things down a bit

Like this and maybe we’ll have like that and like that so also little bits like this so it goes like that so we want to have that coming through here and this is where the cobblestone wall comes in gonna have something like this and we have room okay i just want to make

Sure we’ve got room i like to have one here and this is why i made the mossy so it’s going to be kind of like uh water has been dripping from there and making it all mossy green and down here as well there’s some mossy

So texturing is what we need to do now oh and i need to sleep here’s a little update on how it’s looking so far it’s uh coming along but definitely not done there are a few places that are just way too even and i would like to actually extend back that way

There it’s too flat still i just feel like it’s too flat still so it’s still a lot of work to do all right we are nearly there so we’ve got this looking rough i don’t want this looking pretty at all we want this looking like it’s some roughly cut out cavern

And it’s very different from that this i want to look like it’s something a little damp and wet you know like that which is why i’m gonna be putting in some vines in here too i think that will change the looks of things a little bit

And just where to put it is the question uh one there i think probably there yeah that that’ll be okay and i’ll figure out some other places but i need to hang other lights i don’t want the torches throughout all right let’s finish this off uh with putting

Everything in here i think a chain here with a lantern right there would go fine maybe one right here as well uh let’s see that should be perfectly fine actually we want one pretty close to the middle now in bedrock edition this does give off light so it does have a light value

But in java it doesn’t so we’d have an issue here if we just had that in there uh let me just see what kind of light levels we get in here i don’t want it to be too bright it’d be nice if it’ll look a little bit moody you know

I think that would be perfect for a place with magic so f3 let’s check uh we’ve got light level 8 i mean 10 12 10 9 8 10 let me see how it is over here we got 10 it’s all looking good how about here in this corner

Looks like we got 11. nice this should be perfect we have no sevens in here good good good uh one thing i wanted to point out was we’ve got two walls here so stalactite and stalagmite and we need to place everything in here so i think uh let’s put the grindstone over here

And we’ll put our anvil right here so we have those easily accessible and we’re gonna put in three chests just going up like this it looks a little haphazard but that is how i want it to look it’s not gonna look pretty because it is a cave

You don’t want a pretty cave do you uh just a bit more for the vines let’s see what we can do around here now this stuff is going to spread we’re going to get vines everywhere so we’ll see how that looks once once they have spread this one i’m

Expecting to come and hang straight down maybe all right that is the enchantment setup but let me just see we need to grab our lapis and for the third time we have pillagers what is going on um yeah we’ve got some lapis over here

I was gonna go back to the tent but oh that is a little annoying i don’t think i want them coming over here okay they’re going away i don’t think they’re gonna bother me at all so i can come in here and grab uh it’s not there there it is i’ve got

Plenty of lapis you guys i don’t need a third patrol around here you’re probably wondering why is the entrance looking so ugly well i’m not quite done here uh this is going to be done in conjunction with the brewing area as well as making sure it can blend in to

The house which is going to go right here so let’s just take a quick look at what we could get on here this this should work perfectly fine but i don’t have the levels like an iron sword would get knock back eh knock back two okay how about an axe efficiency four not

Bad and shears no you can actually enchant shears but um you need to use an anvil efficiency 4 oh nice now the thing is i would like to enchant diamond gear not not what i’ve got right now oh this what can i get in the boots that’s what i’m curious about

So boots will get me protection three hmm that’s not bad i guess it’s okay but yeah that is about it the sun’s going down though so we have a bit of news uh today as i’m recording this uh 1.17 was announced to be split into two different updates

Now my plan for minecraft school season one was to start a new world when 1.17 comes out but since 1.17 is mainly just gonna be new blocks ores and mobs we’re not gonna start a new world we’re going to extend this so that we are going to be

Building this whole area out until 1.18 which is going to be caves and cliffs or cliffs and caves whichever way it goes so we’re going to be finishing off the base and then we are going to build a village with all of the village houses that we can

We can make everything that’s in the game and maybe just maybe we can get some villagers over here that would be amazing don’t you think all right so let me know what you think in the comment section below now i am going to be working on the brewing

Stand or the brewing setup next and that area up there looks like it might interfere with the brewing area but um we’ll see how that goes i would also like to make it so that we have a nice farm back in there so we’ll see how that goes
