Hey there my name is crypto and today i’ll be showing you how to build some awesome custom trees for your minecraft worlds every tree is unique so this isn’t going to be your typical block by block tutorial but instead we will be building several trees together and learning a lot along the way The first tree we’re building is an oak tree when building any type of tree the first step is to build up the trunk since this is an oak tree we’re using you guessed it oakwood and this is where you have a lot of the creative freedom and how tall you make the tree As well as what direction the branches are going once you’re happy with the main trunk we can add some smaller details add a thicker base using some slabs and some stairs and to add the effect of some smaller branches you can use slabs fences and fence gates this will make it Look like smaller branches are coming out of the main trunk and this is a detail that vanilla trees are really lacking and they really help take your trees to the next level keep building up the trunk and adding branches until you’re happy with the shape with the frame of the tree done it’s Time to add the leaves and a great way to add details is use the combination of two or more types of leaves in this case we’ll be using both oak and jungle leafs and this adds some contrast of color as well as add some more texture variation This step is a lot of trial and error seeing where leaves best fit and keep in mind the final canopy shape that you’re trying to obtain and this will help you a lot in knowing where to place the blocks and it’ll become easier and easier the more trees that you build An important tip is to make sure you’re leaving a lot of air blocks between the leaves if you look at trees in real life you notice that light shines through to the ground in some spots so doing so will make your trees look more natural than how they normally spawn in the game Keep adding and removing leaves until you’re happy with the canopy shape and don’t really worry if your tree doesn’t look perfect since trees are natural and have a lot of imperfections and deformities in fact having trees that look a little bit lopsided or strange can actually help it look better With our custom oak tree done let’s use what we’ve learned so far to help us build another tree the second tree we’re making is a spruce tree and just like the oak tree let’s start by building the trunk the main trunk of a spruce tree goes Straight up so this one is super easy make it taller or shorter depending on how big you want it in this case i made mine 11 blocks tall after building the main trunk add fences and gates to the sides to add some smaller branches the next step is to start adding leaves Spruce trees are pretty straightforward in the shape they are wider at the bottom and get thinner near the top think of a cylinder pyramid but made of leaves of course with lots of imperfections to make it look more natural i used a combination of spruce and birch leaves to add some variety Mostly keeping the birch leaves which are lighter near the top to look like new growth you can add more fences and gates between the leaves to look like branches that are only partially showing when you reach the top of the tree add two or three leaves to the very top for A nice peak keep messing around with the shape until you’re satisfied with the look once you are the tree is done the third design we’re making is a custom acacia tree the build process for this one is similar to that of the oak tree but with a wider canopy To better resemble a real acacia tree start by building the trunk up making it perfectly vertical at the bottom and then adding branches going in every direction about halfway up the tree like the other trees use fences gates and slabs to add some smaller branches even though this is an acacia tree i’m Still using spruce details as acacia gates and fences are too bright in contrast to the trunk with the frame done start adding leaves using the same method as the oak tree remembering to leave lots of air blocks between the leaves if you fill in the whole canopy with Leaves it’ll just look like a giant blob let the tree breathe a little bit i used a combination of acacia and birch leaves to add some diversity in the color you can use this trick of dotting fences and gates in between some of the leaves for this tree as well i love this Technique a lot as it’s super easy but makes the tree look so much more detailed with that our custom acacia tree is done and looking amazing our final design is for a cherry blossom tree i absolutely love this design as it’s super colorful and can add a lot of life to your worlds To build this tree start with a windy trunk using a combination of both spruce and dark oak logs add a few slabs to help with the shape and add more wood and fences for the branches i’m building a relatively small blossom tree but you can use this technique to Make any size that you want since we don’t have pink leaves in vanilla we can use pink concrete pink glazed terracotta and pink glass and glass panes for our canopy when we use all of them together it looks just like pink leaves and the glass blocks are transparent and It makes it look like less dense leaves in that area so you don’t need to leave as many air blocks as with the other trees keep adding and removing blocks as you see fit until you’re happy with the shape and then the final tree is done i really hope you enjoyed this video And that you feel more confident in your ability to build your own custom trees comment down below which tree is your favorite and if you’d like to see some more tree designs in the future thank you so much for watching and happy building you Video Information
