Hello everybody welcome to my channel my name is jd and today we are doing another easy minecraft tutorial this time i’m going to show you how to craft and use candles now this is a bit special because at the time of recording this it is only available in the minecraft java snapshots these Are coming out for 1.17 but since they are available in the snapshots let’s show you how to craft them it’s actually very simple all you need is honeycomb and string so we are going to be making 64 candles right here so let me show you how to use these here Uh this is the plain candle so you can put down one you can put down two three or four and you can light them with a flint and steel so you can see the flames coming and there we go now if you want some color you need to come back to the crafting Table and you can put in a candle and any dye that you want so we’ve got a white candle here you can put that in and you get an orange candle for from orange dye and so on here’s a magenta candle and you can get candles of every color that are available In minecraft so every die that is available you can get that color and it’s it’s just so easy now you don’t even have to use the the crafting table you can use it in your own crafting your own personal crafting as well because it only requires two by two crafting uh area So how do you put them out well you can use your hand you can just right click and it’ll put out the candles now there is another way and with that you can use water so water bucket will put them out let’s try it with these i’m just gonna Drop it on this spot now this as you can see there it’s going around them but candles are water loggable you can actually put them under water however when they’re underwater you can’t light them it doesn’t work so how do you break them you can use any Tool at all or you can just use your hand and you can collect it again of course so you get all of them back not just one so it’s it’s very very simple now i would also like to tell you a bit about the light levels that you get with them So when you light them of course they give off light now the light levels if it is only one one candle will give off a light level of three two candles will give a light level of six three will give a light level of nine and four will give a light level of Twelve there are a couple other ways you can light a candle you can use it with an arrow that is flaming so from a flaming bow of course the whole area is caught on fire but i need to actually hit the candle there we go now it’s lit You can also use a fire charge and that is done you can also place a candle on a cake now this turns it into a birthday cake of course you can light the candle and there we go now once you actually start taking slices from the cake The candle will fall off as you can see and there we go that is it i have all of the candles behind me now so you can see they are available in every color as well as the plain candle so let me know how you would like to use the candles Would you use it as lighting would you use it as decorations i think it can create a really atmospheric look i absolutely love how they look so let me know in the comment section below if you like the video then please give it a thumbs up And if you are interested in seeing more easy minecraft tutorials then please consider subscribing we’ll see you next time bye bye you Video Information
