Hello everybody this is JG dabei and today I’m going to tell you and show you how to install a minecraft server this server is going to be a spigot server so this is going to be a little bit different from installing the default minecraft server that you can’t have Plugins on so first thing you’re going to want to do is verify that you have Java installed if you do not have Java installed you’re going to want to navigate to the Java website and just download it for free so just pause right here in the video and you will want to Download and install this and then we can move on the second thing you’re going to want is get so you can just type in this and it’ll pull it up in Google and you will have it right here I’ll also have these links in the description so you’re going to want to Download it for your operating system I am on Windows currently and it’s just going to download it right here to my downloads and that should be all so we’re going to want to go in here and install this and just run through this and use all of the default options and Once you are done it will start installing it and you can pause it right here and wait for yours to finish installing once this is finished installing you should be good and you can go ahead and go to the spicket website and navigate to their downloads Drop down and then you have spigot slash build tools right here so you’re going to want to click on this and just download the newest build tools dot jar and I will put this on my desktop and go to you don’t need to see that and go to Things you need or whatever folder you’ve created for this so once that’s finished downloading you can go ahead and close this out and then you’re going to want to navigate to the build tools wiki here it will look exactly like this and then you will go to whatever version you Would like so I’m going to show you on the newest version which is one point here so you’re just going to want to copy this for later and just have that so you can minimize this here and open up the folder you have created for your build tools we Don’t need this just yet so I’ll talk about that a little later on in the video so just click in the empty area of the folder right click and then this option right here it will pull up this little weird command prompt looking thing and you’re going to want to go Ahead and paste what you had right in here and then it will start building and creating all of the drawer files that you will need for that certain version this is going to take a while so you might just want to pause right here let This finish and then come back to it at a later time and then we’ll continue the tutorial so once that is finished you’re going to see success everything compiled successfully and you’re going to open up the folder that you created earlier and you’re going to see all of these files Here the only one you really need to worry about is this one this is the one we’re going to be using in this tutorial you can go ahead and create another folder for your server so just create like a minecraft server anything and you’re going to want to drag and drop This into the minecraft server and you can close out and we’re done with that for now so here we’re going to open up the minecraft server and you’re going to want to create a dot bat file you can either download this from the description of the video or you can Create it so here is the one I have it’s just got this is all you need to put in the notepad and save it as a dot bat so for this make sure the correct name of the jar is in here and you’re going to want to update that here And then how much RAM you would like to run this server on for this video I’m only going to run it for one and this this start and go to start basically if you have an auto restarting plug-in it will run the stop key and then it will Just restart the server and a loop we want to save the changes and go into the minecraft server thing you made and you can just start and run this and it will pull up another command prompt that will say loading library for you please wait So here we go it’s going to say you need to agree to the e ula and it keeps restarting so once it does that once you can close it here and agree to this just type in true and save it and then we can run it again and this will start up the Full server so this is the full first start for the server it’s going to prepare your spawn and everything will be good and once you see it says done you can stop it it’s going to save all of the world and then begin restarting because of that bat file and you just Close it out there so here is your full working minecraft server here all of your worlds you can put any plugins that you need here and the first thing you’re going to want to do is edit the properties so you can open this with notepad WordPad or anything but I just Like using this and you can change the server port right here you have the difficulty you have the maximum players and you have the little title for that you will see so once you’re done with this you can configure this however you would like and then you have your fully Running minecraft server so thank you so much for watching this guys if you have any questions at all anything I missed anything that you want me to cover in more detail or you have a problem with some of these settings just reach out to me on Twitter or comment down in the Comment section just whatever you prefer and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible so all of these links and all the file file downloads will be in the description thank you very much and I hope you have a good day you Video Information
