What’s up you’re awesome people and welcome back to a brand new video and today i’m going to show everyone how to cross play between minecraft java and the bedrock edition and i know what you’re thinking right now you’re thinking that this won’t work simply because java and basic edition Are two entirely different versions of the game [Laughter] and you’re right they are two different versions of minecraft in fact they are coded differently with c plus plus being used as the programming language of bedrock meanwhile for java edition well as the name suggests it’s coded in java And that makes it an entirely different game from each other even though both are minecraft both are about building exploring building houses and communities gambling a game that can cause a massive drama you name it all in a one hell of a blocky graphics on what looks like a 3d version of terraria Anyways going back to the main topic what if i tell you that given with all the differences between the java and the pressure condition of minecraft cross play between these two very diverse versions of a one single game is possible and it’s not that complicated To do either now before i show you how to do this let me just give you some instances on why this would be really beneficial first if you have a road that is originally made in the java edition and you don’t want to go to all the processes that involves converting your World to patrick edition which may sometimes break the world or even corrupt the file Just so you or your friends that’s if you have some can play on the bedrock edition of minecraft or vice versa second is if you want to play with your friend who’s too broke to afford the java edition or maybe you’re the one that still broke that for the java Edition then this would be a perfect solution again this can be vice versa which means that the bedrock edition player can join a world doesn’t java edition or a java edition player can join a world that’s on bedrock edition it’s up to you So to begin with the tutorial after all the chit chat that i just did open the version of minecraft that will be hosting the world i’m going to be using the java edition since i’m going to host the world in java and then let bedrock players join in on this world or If you want to do the opposite just do the opposite i mean you kind of get my point anyways once you’ve opened it go and open the world that you want to host in and once you’ve gone inside the world click escape which will bring you to the Game menu which you’ll see all these buttons right here now press this button right here that says open to land customize the setting for the player that will join the world and then click start lan world and then you’ll get this local game party on the chat so what we’ll do is Ignore that obviously because the port is for other java edition players to join and since we’re trying to get our friend to join with this ugly ass special edition version of minecraft what is that we’ll be using a different port for that now next thing you want to do is go to Google and search for the default local server port for java edition which it says here it’s two five five six five now go to your command prompt and then type in ipconfig all look for your ip address which is right here then open your bedrock edition of minecraft click play go to multiplayer Click add server and then type in the ipad address on the server address box i’m just gonna paste it here and then the server port would be 255 and just name the server whatever you want to now click enter and as you can see it just says locating that’s because we’re Not yet finished now go back to the java edition get some sticker piston and rod a boat redstone redstone comparator lever and of course a sheep now do this contraption click the lever on and give all your graces to this sheet now the next thing you want to do is Place exactly six million nine hundred and sixty nine thousand four hundred 420 blocks on tnt light it off and wait for the magic to happen Well i guess we won’t be able to continue this tutorial because well minecraft crashed Video Information
