How to Enchant & Potion in Minecraft: Enchantments & Potions for Best underwater use (Avomance)

Good morning good afternoon good evening and good night and welcome to another episode from me averments in the Minecraft magic series in this series we are investigating the potions and enchantments that can make your Minecraft game much more simple and today’s episode is dedicated to those enchantments that help you if you’re

Under water now the first way you should always try and get your enchantments is to come to your enchantment table because it is often the least expensive way of doing it get your three lapis in there and get either your diamond helmet or your diamond boots and pop those into

The normal table and see what you’ve got so we’ve got our o Finity that is one of the enchantments we’re going to talk about today protection 2 and aqua affinity potentially with something else again I’m just going to click this one because that’s given us aqua affinity and some additional enchantments that

We’ve not yet spoken about so that is quite a good result for our enchanting table but there are other ways that you can get the in ciamis you want on your equipment and that better way is through use of an enchanted book you can decide exactly what enchantment you’re gonna

Put on your weapon or on your armor or on your item because the book tells you you don’t have this fingers crossed and hope for the best approach that you get an enchantment table so I put the book in here with three lapis I’ve got protection piercing and sweeping edge

They’re my choices for that book so if I just get that that gives me the sweeping edge enchantment we’ll talk about that in a future episode here I put the lapis in I can get lousy brass protection and piercing etc etc you have to enchant a

Lot of books to get the books that you want however there is another way to get enchanted books and that is by using an afk fishing farm now there’s a tutorial for how to do and I okay fishing farm in the description below please do go and

Take a look at it because I’m not going to go on how this works and how to make it in this particular video but if you use an ask a fish farm not only do you catch fish which are useful for something we’ll talk about later but you

Can also catch enchanted books and a number of other items now these enchanted books I’ve now got in my inventory now are the ones we are going to be talking about today Depp’s trailer respiration and a core affinity to use the enchanted book simply come to your anvil and put an

Enchanted book into slot to this slot one that a slot to then place the item you want to enchant into slot one that gives you aqua affinity because this is an act queer affinity book if this book was combined with other books then you could have more than one in charmin on

The helmet now aqua affinity is a really useful enchantment when you go underwater if you’re standing on the the riverbed or the sea bed and you are in at least two blocks of water your head is under the water if you had is under the water you panic and as a result you

Only mine at 22% the speed that you would normally minor aqua affinity negates that completely you mine exactly the same speed you would as long as your feet are firmly planted on the floor there is also a penalty that if you are sinking or swimming you then can’t mine

Particularly well either that’s because your body is occupied with the task of swimming aqua affinity will not affect that delight so you will still have a delay in mining if you are swimming or sinking you just have no delay if you are underwater and standing on the bottom now is commonly thought and

Documented that you can only apply at core affinity to a helmet but it’s not true you can also apply acro Finity to boots I am waist-deep in water just to help you demonstrate the add quite affinity and Charma I’ve got it on the helmet right here I’m gonna pick up my shovel

And I’m gonna move forwards to go deeper into the water you can see now I’m under the water my bubbles are going to start to go and I’m going to mine out these blocks so take a little bit of time but it’s not too bad because we’re under the

Water however if I then put the aqua affinity helmet on and I come under the water there we go and we start digging out you can see we’re pretty much in stood agin because we haven’t got that five times penalty that we had before and this is true no matter what depth

You are you can see now I am a lot deeper under the ground and I can still collects up this sand pretty much instantly as if there’s no penalty I can however still drown so now we combine fine under the water but we’ve still got a breathe right so this is where these

Other enchantments can become very useful if I come in here and take the respiration three-inch arm and it is a three-level in Charman and get my helmet it’s an acro Finiti helmet still it’s the same when I was just using I’ve now got an affinity and respiration rate now

Respiration 3 is very useful it doesn’t allow you to breathe underwater and we’ll talk about breathing underwater in a moment what it allows you to do is increase the amount of time that you can actually hold your breath normally you can only hold your breath for 10 seconds

Before you start taking damage each level of respiration will give you an extra 15 seconds so respiration 3 will give you 45 extra seconds 55 seconds total before you need to breathe so we’re going to do exactly the same test again and we’re going to go underwater

With our helmet on so I’m just going to pop this aqua affinity and respiration 3 helmet we’re not going to dig we’ve already done the DNA experiment but what we are going to do is we’re going to go into water and we’re going to see how

Much longer we can stay there before the bubbles start to get a little bit of a concern so I’m under the water at the moment my bubbles are literally starting to pop off and then they pops back again you can see that second bubbles there

Pop off and it’s much much slower so I can stay underwater for almost a minute before those bubbles get down to zero which gives me loads of time and there’ll have to do to come up to the surface they replenish saying where they would normally and then back under

Another minute the final of the three enchantments we’re going to talk about is depth Strider which comes in three levels very much like respiration you can only apply this to boots you can’t apply it to other armor or any weapons it is solely a boot enchantment let’s

Take this and take a look at it now when you walk under water you are finding that you’re wading so you’re moving a lot lot slower depth Strider helps to negate that problem every level of depth Strider will take away one third of the problem meaning that when you’ve

Got depth stride of three the problem is completely gone and you walk under water as if you’re walking on land this also means that you can add the speed potion that we talked about in the last episode and you will be able to get walk underwater as if you’re walking on land

With speed it’s really very comical we are in the water again because we’re going to demonstrate the difference between having depth Strider three and no depth Strider at all I’m going to walk through the water this is the fastest I can walk so it’s relatively

Slow and kind of a low pin along wading through the water like this if I then put depth Strider three on doing absolutely no difference whatsoever I’m walking as if it is just normal everyday land now it’s not only enchantments that can help you when you are underwater

There are also some potions that are very useful too I’m coming in here and I’m gonna take these puffer fish the first potion we’re going to talk about is a potion of water breathing as we said before respiration will give you an extra up to 45 seconds under the water

Before you have to take a breath well if you can get yourself a potion of water breathing you can make it even more interesting let’s get ourself three awkward potions that we made in the first episode if you don’t have to make an awkward potion go

And see episode one it will tell you what to do pop your three awkward potions in here because again always make three even if you only want one potion and take a puffer fish put a puffer fish at the top and that brewing starts to roll off look

At that that is bubbling away very nicely and after a time you will end up with a very different potion at the bottom glug glug and you have got three potions of water breathing you can see they’re a little bit glowy and a little bit wobbly now

That is for three minutes you can extend the duration of this potion as you can with previous potions using redstone however you cannot improve the strength of it you can either breathe underwater or you can’t so there’s no point in heaven or to breathe into but if you pop

In a little bit of redstone at the top that will bubble along and this three minutes will turn into eight minutes much better so we’re going to test this feather out now as well I’m going to take off my respiration helmet and I’m gonna put on it’s got a crew affinity in

Case we decide to do any mining or anything like that but it’s not got respiration on it at all you can see so we are breathing completely normally with this one let me just demonstrate that if I come underneath the water those bubbles go down at the standard

Rate I have 10 seconds before I start to take damage however what we’re going to do is we’re going to take one of these potions and you can see on the top right I’ve got three bubbles which tells me I’ve got the water breathing effect if I

Then come in here it also tells me here I’ve got the water breathing effect for eight minutes if I come under the water those bubbles they don’t move they literally do not move as if I have grown gills for the eight minute period and only after that eight minutes will it

Start sorry mr. squid only after that eight minutes will those bubbles start to go down this is a really great potion and it is perfect for underwater working now you might not think about the next potion being useful for being underwater but let me promise you it really is

First off you need some gold so you can get that gold from either a gold farm and there is a tutorial for a gold farm in the description below please do go and take a look at that alternatively you can just get it from mine and you

Don’t need much if I get these gold ingots and I turn them into gold nuggets loads and loads of gold nuggets now I then take some carrots from my field don’t need many just a couple of carrots they’re fat let’s get a few more there we go

So we’ve got plenty of carrots always remember to plan your carrots back when you Nick confirm your field and then come into your crafting table and put a carrot in the middle and surround it with gold nuggets that gives you golden carers and their golden carrots are

Great because you can actually eat them and use them for a really good healing effects but also they do something else if we come into with three or potions again into our brewing stand we put our awkward potions up there and we put a golden carrot at the top that bubbles

Away and we get a really interesting potion that has effects not just for the water but for other areas well but is very very useful and there we have it is a slightly darker potion than the water breathing potion that we had before and this is a potion of night

Vision a night vision is very useful if you’re going cave him because it lights up all of the blocks to the maximum light level of 15 even if you’re in a cave if there’s no source of light at all and especially if you are underwater so let’s just take those carrots back

And let’s get ourself some redstone because again you can extend the time from the three minutes you’ve got here into a longer amount of time which is eight minutes again eight minutes of being able to see as if it is absolutely sparkling broad daylight now we have

Come to the nearby beach to demonstrate this because the water in the lake next to where we’re playing around isn’t really dark enough for us to see the benefit of this so you can see behind me there is a deep ocean area now that deep ocean area at the bottom we just can’t

See then which you spin around okay you can’t see and if I can’t under the water you can see the darkness is well it obscures the vision it slowly comes into view as you come along and that’s because if we bring up f3 the block

Light level is zero and as we sink the sky light level reduces as well which makes sense if you go underwater remember to breathe look up my respiration he’ll be on if you go under the water in the real world the deeper you go the less light you get so that

Makes perfect sense but if we can illuminate all of those blocks to light level 15 by drinking our potion of night vision everything just lights up and if we come under the water now we’ve got a much better view of the world so let’s

Combine all of these up I have got on me my aqua affinity and respiration helmet I’ve got on me my depth Strider boots I have got on me a night vision potion and a water breathing potion now water breathing complete in the game’s respiration 3 but when that runs out you

Then still have that whole fifty five seconds to get to the surface so it’s good to have both because it doesn’t surprise only having ten seconds left especially if he very very deep so I’m just going to take all of these these two potions there we go we can breathe water we can

See at night time and we have all of our necessary in charmers we’re going to go deep deep deep down here and we’re gonna see what it is like once we are all sorted so feet on the bottom and I’ve got my diamond shovel I can see absolutely perfectly I can see if

Anything dangerous is coming along and I can insert it out all of this gravel without any problems dead dead easy so you can see on their own each of these enchantments and potions are actually very very powerful but when you bring them together in a combination they make
